The temptation to take a gamble on a game of chance is human nature. But it is even more natural that we look for ways to bend fate in our favour and seek any way to improve the odds. That’s why online casino marketing is such a fascinating topic. Even the most cynical of us are forced to take a second look when we see offers like no deposit bonuses, where the casino seems to be literally giving away money.
Deep down, we know there has to be a catch, but the question of whether online casino bonuses genuinely offer risk-free gambling or are just clever marketing is not straightforward to answer.
In This Article
A big money, high-growth industry
Before we look at the nitty-gritty of the casino bonuses themselves, it is important to understand a little bit of context. Online gambling is a huge industry. Last year, it generated about $58 billion in revenue and that number increases at a rate of more than 11 percent every year.
Few other industries can boast that sort of health in these difficult times, and it has led to a hugely competitive marketplace occupied by some established brands and a whole lot of new entrants. That’s particularly the case in high-growth markets like Australia, where the Gamble Online review site details a long list of casino platforms aimed specifically in the Australia market. See here gambleonlineaustralia for more details.
You will immediately notice that all these casinos are offering big incentives to new players. Now there is no such thing as a bad casino bonus, but some offer a real chance at winning money with zero risk, while others give you a chance to try games out for free but are unlikely to make you any real money. Here’s what to check.
Wagering rules
The biggest catch in the casino bonus world is the wagering requirement. A no-deposit bonus places money, let’s say $20, in your betting account without you having to deposit any of your own. But the wagering requirement can be as high as 60x, meaning you would have to place 60x $20, or $1,200 in wagers from the bonus money and any winnings it produced before you can withdraw anything. It’s not impossible, but it’s massively unlikely, so bonuses like this are fine for trying out games without wasting money but don’t expect them to win you anything.
Limits
Other bonuses state they have a maximum withdrawal limit of perhaps $50 or $100. Imagine hitting the jackpot, thinking you’ve won thousands and then suddenly realizing you can only withdraw $50 of it. Other limits might stipulate the time deadline for using your bonus or the games to which it can be applied.
Finding the real deal
There are genuinely amazing offers out there. Some casinos offer no deposit-free spins with no wagering requirements, so you can simply spin your spins and withdraw whatever you win. Others offer very low wagering requirements on matched bonuses but here, you have to deposit some money of your own, which the casino then matches. The best bonuses take some time to track down, but it is well worth the effort.

With a range of TWS to choose from, buyers are keen on making the switch from wired headphones and wireless neckbands. We got our hands on OnePlus Nord Buds CE and used it for a couple of weeks. Does this TWS have what it takes to compete in this hotly contested category? Read our OnePlus Nord Buds CE review to find out.Read Also: Oppo Enco Buds 2 Review: Does not miss a beat!

OnePlus Nord Buds CE review: Design
Inside the box, you’ll find a USB Type-C charging cable, a user guide, a brand sticker, and a red cable club welcome card along with the wireless headsets. The charging case is made out of plastic and has a glossy texture to it. We were quite sceptical of the case being a fingerprint magnet, but after two weeks of rigorous use, we are happy to report that the case holds up well against prints and scratches. The overall build is satisfactory, but it does not inspire a lot of confidence in its strength, The pebble-shaped case sports a flip lid which could have been a bit more firm. However, the design is very compact and portable. No complaints there. The headset is available in two colours – Moonlight White and Misty Grey. We used the latter for this review. The design of the charging case is clean and minimal. The USB charging port is housed at the bottom while the notification light finds its way just below the lid. The OnePlus branding is embossed in a greyish colour at the centre of the case. The earbuds have a stem attached to them and do not come with silicone tips. The open design is something we’re fond of, as it is easy on the ears and you can put the buds in for an extended duration of time. The earbuds are rated IPX4 which means they are resistant to water splashes. You can comfortably work out using the OnePlus Nord Buds CE without having to worry about the buds taking damage due to sweat. However, there is always a risk of the earbuds slipping out when there’s excessive sweat. The touch sensors are located on the stem and work exceptionally well. We’re used to a lot of accidental touches while using TWS across different categories but the Nord Buds CE do a great job of genuine touch detection. The touch controls can be customised using the Hey Melody app.
OnePlus Nord Buds CE review: Performance
Equipped with 13.4mm dynamic drivers, the OnePlus Nord Buds CE offer a decent audio performance. The earbuds take no time to pair with your device and stay connected within a range of 10-15 metres. There is no option to pair multiple devices with the headset. But that is something you’ll rarely find in a TWS in this category. Moving to the sound profile, the OnePlus Nord Buds CE certainly does not disappoint. We listened to a range of genres, from hyperpop to classic rock, and the performance was consistent throughout. The mid and low frequencies do not get lost in the background, and the bass mixes in quite nicely with the overall sound. However, we felt that the audio clarity could’ve been worked on a bit more as some recordings sounded muffled and boxy. This was more pronounced at louder volumes. Listening to podcasts was a pleasant experience with the OnePlus Nord Buds CE. The harsher frequencies were levelled out and the audio output was well-rounded. With the comfortable design, you can listen to a podcast for hours without feeling the need to take out the earbuds. The same applies to voice calls as well. There were very few disturbances or lags in sound quality over a voice call. The buds are equipped with a microphone on each stem and use AI noise reduction to maintain the sound quality. We would still suggest using the microphone in quieter conditions as the AI noise reduction does not work as efficiently in an environment with a lot of background noise. OnePlus claims a battery backup of 4.5 hours for the earbuds with an additional 20 hours in the case. We got around 3.5 hours on a full charge. The battery backup is also dependent on the volume level, so if you don’t go beyond 50-60%, you’ll get the promised 4.5 hours. The charging case was good enough to charge the earbuds 4 times before it needed to be plugged in. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the battery performance. The HeyMelody app offers a bunch of preset equaliser options for the earbuds. These include Bass (default), Balanced, Serenade, and Gentle. You can even switch to a low latency mode of 94ms if you want to use the earbuds while gaming. We tried out the Game mode while playing Call of Duty Mobile, as the sound synced up perfectly with the video and elevated the gaming experience. The HeyMelody app also lets you customise the touch controls on the stem (as shown in the picture).Read Also:Sony WH-1000XM5 review: The sound speaks for itself
Verdict
If you’re looking for a pair of wireless earbuds for casual listening, the OnePlus Nord Buds CE make a great entry-level product. However, if you’re an audiophile who wants a detailed sound profile, we’d suggest looking outside of this category. The OnePlus Nord Buds CE deliver what is expected from a standard affordable TWS. The price tag of Rs 1,899 certainly works in its favour as there aren’t a lot of TWS in this price range that can deliver a better performance than the OnePlus Nord Buds CE.
Most premium smartphones these days come with fast-charging support along with a fast charger. The recently released OnePlus 10T is fully capable of reaching a full charge within 20 minutes. However, if you’re currently using an older phone, chances are that it does not come with fast charging support. Luckily, there are a few tricks you can use to speed up the charging process of your device. In this article, we bring you 10 simple ways to charge your phone faster with or without a fast charger.Read Also:How To Hide Reels Likes Count and Turn Off Comments on Instagram?

Turn your phone off while charging
Smartphones charge up quickly when they are not in use. With no background apps or tasks drawing on the battery, your phone will charge faster than usual. If you face any heating issues while charging your phone, this method will help in that case as well. Even 15 minutes of charging time when your phone is switched off can power up your phone considerably.
Turn on the Airplane Mode
If you don’t want to switch off your smartphone, you can put it on Airplane Mode while charging. Airplane Mode restricts the network signal on your phone, thereby preserving the battery. Your phone will charge faster when the network signal isn’t drawing on the battery. To turn on the Airplane Mode simply swipe down from the status bar and tap on the Airplane icon from the menu.
Avoid using your phone while charging
Turning your phone off or putting it on Airplane Mode always comes with the possibility of missing any important calls or texts. You can charge your phone faster without doing either of those things. Simply lock your phone’s screen and put it down while it charges. Make sure you clear all background apps before putting the phone on charge. While the network signal will still draw from the battery, avoiding active usage can boost the charge time by a significant amount.
Use a wall socket to charge your phone
Charging your smartphone using a laptop takes a long time when compared to a charger plugged into a wall socket. Wall socket connections offer a better amperage than the USB ports on your laptop or car charger. If the option to plug in your charger to a socket is available, use that instead of any other alternatives.
Use a fast charger and a high-quality cable
OnePlus 10T charging unitA fast power adapter along with a high-quality cable can significantly reduce the time it takes to fully charge your smartphone. Some smartphones are equipped to handle fast charging while others optimise the process to save battery life. You can read our list of the best fast-charging smartphones here. Even if your smartphone does not have fast charging support, a powerful charger can make a difference.
Turn on fast charging
Your smartphone may support fast charging but it may not be charging at higher speeds because you haven’t enabled that feature yet. Some phones may have fast charging turned off by default. To enable fast charging go to Settings>Battery and device care>Battery>More battery settings and turn on the toggle bar for fast charging.
Turn off Wise Charging
Newer smartphones have a feature that trickle-charges your device once the battery level reaches 95% or above. On OnePlus smartphones this feature is called ‘Wise Charging’. The idea is to charge your phone slowly through the night so that it hits the maximum capacity when you’re waking up. Your phone assesses your usage pattern to determine your waking-up time. When you plug your phone in to charge at night, it boosts up at a normal rate until it hits 95%. After that, it charges at a slower pace. To turn off Wise Charging go to Settings>Battery>Wise Charging.
Remove your phone’s case while charging
Overheating issues can hamper your smartphone’s charging speed. Phone covers and cases inhibit the rate of dissipation of heat and can cause the internal temperature of the phone to rise up, causing an increased charging time. Make sure you take off the smartphone case while charging to boost the speed.
Say no to wireless charging
Wireless charging is a nifty feature on most mid-range and premium smartphones, but it charges your phone at a much slower rate than wired charging. Wireless charging speeds are limited to 15-30W on most devices. At best, certain smartphones like Xiaomi 13 Pro offer 50W wireless charging support. This is nowhere close to the speed offered by wired charging. In comparison, Xiaomi 13 Pro offers 120W wired fast charging support.
Use a power bank
Not only is a power bank a great portable power backup device, but it also charges your device at the same rate as a wall socket connection. Some premium power banks also offer fast charging that exceeds the amperage of a wall socket. A power bank is a great investment if you find yourself running out of charge while travelling. You can read our list of top 10 power banks with over 10,000 mAh battery here.

Google today announced that YouTube has given account holders distinctive handles that will now show up on channel pages as well as Shorts. By using their usernames, users can now quickly recognise creators. The users on the online video streaming platform will be able to tag creators in the comments or community posts and other interactive areas like video descriptions. While announcing the YouTube handles it said, “For many creators, YouTube isn’t just a place to upload and comment on videos, it’s a community and home base. That’s why today we’re introducing handles, a new way for people to easily find and engage with creators and each other on YouTube. Every channel will have a unique handle, making it easier for fans to discover content and interact with creators they love.”Channel pages and Shorts will display handles, making them easily and consistently recognisable. Soon, mentioning one another in comments, community postings, video descriptions, and other places will be easier and quicker. A shout-out in a comment or tagging in the name of recent collaboration, for instance, can help creators gain more exposure and reach out to new audiences. Channel names and handles are both ways to recognise a YouTube channel, but handles are truly unique to each channel, allowing artists to further build their own presence and identity on the platform.YouTube will let creators know when they can select a handle for their channel over the course of the following month. Most of the time, if a channel already has a customised URL, that will become their default handle by default. However, they can choose to alter their channel’s handle as soon as they receive the notification in YouTube Studio. We’re introducing handles gradually since each YouTube channel will have one, and handles must be distinctive. The number of subscribers a channel has, its overall YouTube presence, and whether it is active or not all affect when a creator will have access to the handles selection process. To make it simple for creators to point viewers to their content when they aren’t on YouTube, YouTube will establish a corresponding URL (ex: youtube.com/@handle) when they choose their handle. If a channel already has a customised URL, there is no need to adjust links because they will be automatically forwarded to the new, handle-based URL to give creators on YouTube a stronger, more cohesive presence.

Prior to the release of Google’s rumoured Pixel-branded foldable phone, the launch timeline for the Google Pixel Fold has been leaked online. The unveiling of Google’s foldable smartphone is reportedly being delayed. The first Pixel foldable phone might be released in the first quarter of 2023. It was earlier expected to be premiered at the Made by Google launch event. The first Pixel foldable phone is likely to be released in the first quarter of 2023, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).Young said that Google’s first foldable phone could appear anytime in Q1 2023 in response to a tweet from tipster Roland Quandt (@rquandt) asking about the Pixel folding phone. Additionally, according to him, the company will begin receiving panel shipments for this handset in January.According to earlier claims, Google may be developing two foldable smartphones. A developer has discovered a reference to a foldable phone with the codename “Felix” in a line of code from the Android 13 QPR1 beta from Google. Many other reports in the past suggested that the Google Foldable phones may resemble the Oppo Find N. Two additional animations that demonstrated how to insert a SIM card into a foldable phone were discovered following the release of Android 12L Beta 2. They mirror the animations that the current Pixel setup procedures use when the phone requests a physical or virtual SIM card. More significantly, the “Pipit” codename for the Pixel Fold is mentioned in the animation. The right side of the device has a volume button, while the bottom has a SIM tray.Furthermore, the forthcoming device is probably going to have broad bezels around the screen, making it look like a notebook. The selfie camera is situated on the foldable phone’s top bezel. Furthermore, the smartphone’s appearance when folded is not described in the patent.A while back, the Google Pixel Fold/foldable smartphone was originally spotted on Geekbench using the user name Pipit. The device would contain an octa-core processor with four 1.8GHz performance cores, two 2.8GHz performance cores, and two 2.25GHz performance cores, according to the listing. According to the benchmarks listing, the foldable phone will have 12GB of RAM, and the processor is supposedly a Google Tensor SoC.

Twitter is requesting users to give it some credit by providing links to the tweet though rather than screenshotting to distribute them elsewhere. The microblogging platform appears to be recognising screenshots made using the app and prompting users to copy a link to the tweet or use the share menu to send it to other users. The update is reported to be the company’s most recent minor change that the corporation is testing to encourage increased Twitter usage.A new pop-up that asks individuals to share a link to tweets rather than a screenshot is beginning to appear for some Twitter users. The popup reads, “Share Tweet instead?” and pops up right after a user screenshots a post.A report states that numerous other users, however, are observing various variations, including “Copy link” and “Share Tweet” buttons, that are visible to users. The “Copy link” pop-up, which retrieves a link to the screenshotted tweet, was experienced by certain employees of The Verge.Twitter’s Shaokyi Amdo, a spokesman, acknowledged that the prompt is being tested with a small number of iOS users.Note that, screenshots of tweets are eventually reposted on the network, but they are also shared on websites other than Twitter, such as group chats and other messaging platforms like Instagram, and TikTok videos. Additionally, there are more steps involved in visiting Twitter after reading a screenshotted message elsewhere than simply clicking a straight link. Therefore the engagement that Twitter is losing out on is images of tweets performing well elsewhere.Users can already share tweets straight to their Instagram stories, but viewers of the stories are unable to tap on the shared tweet to see it on the Twitter app. It is also speculated that a prompt informing users that they can share tweets with others, even those without accounts, was being tested by Twitter.

The baby emoji next to your friend’s name on Snapchat denotes that you’ve recently added each other as a friend. This emoji lasts only for a short duration of time. Once your friend has been in your contacts list for a while, the baby emoji will disappear and be replaced by one of the other emojis.
Smile emoji 😊
This emoji appears next to contacts you frequently exchange snaps with. This does not mean that you are each other’s top friend. This emoji is not exclusive to one contact. It will appear next to multiple contacts if you snap them frequently.
Yellow Heart emoji 💛
The Yellow heart emoji signifies that you and the contact are top best friends of each other. This means that you interact with that friend most often. This includes sending texts, pictures, and snaps to the contact.
Red Heart emoji ❤️
If you and your friend have been each other’s top friend (yellow heart) for two weeks, a red heart emoji will appear next to their name on Snapchat. This is one of the rarer emojis to attain and requires logging in to Snapchat almost every day.
Pink Hearts emoji 💕
Reserved only for Super Best Friends, this emoji appears next to your friend’s name when you’ve been each other’s top best friend for two months in a row. Apart from Snapstreaks, this emoji is the most difficult to obtain.
Sunglasses emoji 😎
This emoji appears next to the contact whom you share a common best friend with. This means you and the contact exchange frequent snaps with a mutual friend as well. This is usually common among people attending the same school.
Grimace emoji 😬
If your top best friend is also your contact’s best friend, a grimacing emoji will appear next to their name. This is common in a close group of friends where everyone exchanges frequent snaps with each other.
Fire emoji 🔥
The fire emoji next to a friend’s name on Snapchat denotes an ongoing Snapstreak. When you exchange snaps with a contact three days in a row, the Snapstreak begins. A fire emoji signifies the beginning of a Snapstreak.
100 emoji 💯
One of the most coveted emojis in Snapchat, the 100 emoji appears when you’ve maintained a Snapstreak with a friend for 100 days. If you fail to send a snap for even a day, the Snapstreak will break and you’ll have to start all over again.
Hourglass emoji ⏳️
Since you need to exchange snaps every day to maintain a Snapstreak, Snapchat lets you know that you’re running out of time to keep the streak active by placing the hourglass emoji next to your friend’s name. The hourglass emoji appears when there are less than 4 hours left to send a snap.Read Also: What Is a Water-Cooled Computer and Should You Buy or Build One?

Ensuring that your PC does not overheat is pivotal in maintaining its longevity and keeps the integral components free from the risk of permanent damage. Most computers come with multiple fans integrated within the cabinet and it is generally advised to place your PC in an area which is well-ventilated. Even though internal fans do a decent job of cooling down a PC, the processor still heats up while carrying out heavy tasks. A water-cooled PC is a great solution to this problem. Using water as a coolant, a water-cooled computer is able to dissipate a greater amount of heat fairly quickly and makes sure your PC can handle even the most rigorous tasks with relative ease. In this article, we explain what a water-cooled computer is, how it works, and whether you should build one. Read Also: Amazing technology that is changing entertainment
In This Article
What is a Water-Cooled computer and how does it work?
A water-cooled computer or PC replaces the internal fans in a traditional PC with cooling pipes that use water to bring down the internal temperature of the computer. Water has a higher specific heat capacity than air, which means it is able to absorb a greater amount of heat.A water-cooled computer works similar to the cooling system within a car. Water runs through the cooling pipes across the components, absorbing heat along the way. The conduction of heat in a water-cooled PC takes place through water blocks made out of aluminium or copper. Much like a car, a water-cooled PC requires a liquid cooling pump to move the water within the cooling tubes. After that, the heated-up water ends up in a radiator where it is allowed to cool off before being pumped back in, forming a loop.
Should you build a Water-Cooled PC?
While water-cooled computers are efficient in handling the high internal temperatures of a PC, they are also very appealing visually. The water blocks make a great sight, and the whole process looks amazing. Unsurprisingly, water-cooled computers take a lot of time, money, and effort to assemble. So, is it worth building? If you’re a casual to moderate PC user and do not demand an exorbitant level of performance from your PC, a water-cooled computer is not for you. Most air-cooled PCs do a decent job of cooling down the core components. If your computer is placed in a well-ventilated area, then you’re probably not going to face any major issues with overheating. However, if you’re someone that puts their PC to the task by pushing its boundaries and getting the most out of its performance, you may want to look into a water-cooling unit for your machine. Not only will you be able to reduce overheating by a major factor, but a water-cooling unit will also get rid of the annoying noise that the internal fans create. Putting together a water-cooled computer can be an intensive task, requiring you to be extra careful while installing the cooling tubes. Any leaks can prove to be detrimental, and you need to make sure that the water does not come in direct contact with any PC component. Read Also: What Do the Android Status Bar Symbols Mean? A full guide
Conclusion
Even though a water-cooled PC is bound to provide more efficient cooling, it may not outweigh the effort of putting it all together. With every passing year, air cooling solutions are getting better, and you may want to look into what the latest internal fans have to offer. However, if you’re a PC enthusiast and want to try out something new that looks appealing as well, building a water-cooled PC should definitely be on your list.
