Vivo has officially launched its new budget phone in the Indian market today. The Chinese smartphone company has arrived with Vivo Y12s in the country. The device includes a 5000mAh with a waterdrop-style notch display. The smartphone is by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SOC and also runs FunTouch OS version 11. To recall prior to launch in the country the smartphone has already been introduced in Hongkong and Vietnam.Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, Director- Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “The youthful Y series by Vivo has always been about our commitment to fulfil the consumer needs for innovative features that meets the specific requirements in different price brackets. The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has announced to launch a new audio device in India on January 18 alongside Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G. The company will be introducing Oppo Enco X which comes with Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling. The earbuds carry a dual microphone design to provide active noise cancelling with multiple modes to customize and choose the strength of noise reduction. The TWS earphones are also supported by LHDC low-latency wireless transmission in addition to Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.Oppo Enco X true wireless stereo earphones are now confirmed to launch in India on January 18. To recall the TWS earphones made their debut last year in China and now they are going to arrive in the Indian market alongside Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G smartphone. Executives at Facebook USA have confirmed that they are enforcing deletion of such violent posts with the phrase ‘stop the steal’ and in certain cases even suspending the accounts of the violators. This has come in the wake of the violence that has surged on to the streets of USA and aversive action has to be taken.
According to reports, including from Reuters, the FBI has warned USA states and the police force that there might be armed protests happening all across the country in the days leading up to the new president taking up the office. The road for Joe Biden has been tough and with ‘stop the steal’ posts running rampantly, Facebook finally took a strong step to curb and disarm the misinformation spreading like wildfire in the country leading to violence.
Facebook’s VP Guy Rosen and Monika Bickert in a post said, “We are treating the next two weeks as a major civic event. We are now removing content containing the phrase ‘stop the steal’ under our Coordinating Harm policy from Facebook and Instagram… With continued attempts to organize events against the outcome of the US presidential election that can lead to violence, and the use of the term by those involved in Wednesday’s violence in DC, we’re taking this additional step in the lead up to the inauguration.”
“It may take some time to scale up our enforcement of this new step, but we have already removed a significant number of posts.”

In order to offer new video streaming capabilities and content creation tools, Sony has now expanded its 360 Reality Audio services and product offerings. This revolutionary musical experience, powered by Sony’s spatial sound technologies, evokes feelings of being in a music studio or live concert venue – all without leaving the comfort of home.
“360 Reality Audio is a powerful platform that brings listeners an experience that honors the creator’s true intent, and brings artists and fans even closer together. We are thrilled to enhance and expand our audio ecosystem with innovative streaming video, and powerful new ways for musicians to create an amazing experience,” said Mike Fasulo, president and chief operating officer, Sony Electronics, Inc.
Currently, listeners can access approximately 4,000 songs in 360 Reality Audio from artists like Alicia Keys, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Noah Cyrus, Zara Larsson, and more. However, Sony has now added new capabilities to this innovative music format. The company further added, “To showcase these new video capabilities, Sony Music Entertainment artist Zara Larsson will release an exclusive live performance in 360 Reality Audio on January 11 at 5:00 PM EST. Viewers will be able to stream this performance with the Artist Connection app1 on a smartphone. With select Sony headphones and the Sony | Headphones Connect app2, users can also optimize their experience by analyzing their individual ear shape to enjoy a custom immersive musical field that is perfectly optimized for them.”
Sony further revealed that the 360 Reality Audio makes it possible to create a lifelike music experience, giving listeners the impression that they are in a live concert setting. The company also added that to use this spatial sound technology to create an innovative solution for music lovers who are not able to enjoy live concerts due to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Sony has announced the FX6 (model ILME-FX6V) camera that’s a new entry in the company’s Cinema Line, a series of products that brings the company’s expertise in imaging technology to a broad range of filmmakers and content creators.
According to the company, the all-new FX6 incorporates Sony’s core technologies of image sensor, processing engine, and AF (autofocus) performance. It is compatible with the wide range of Sony E-mount lenses for creative flexibility.
Emphasising that the new FX6 is the latest example of Sony’s drive to continuously push the boundaries of imaging technology based on the needs of its customers, Neal Manowitz, deputy president of Imaging Products and Solutions Americas, Sony Electronics, said, “With the advancement of our Cinema Line, we are dedicated to enabling the extraordinary skills and talent of today’s content creators and cinematographers. In a teaser video that Samsung has posted on Twitter, the Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones is likely to be launched on January 14 at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Mind you! This event that will be live-streamed alongside CES 2021.
If reports are to be believed the Galaxy Buds Pro will make way along with the flagship Galaxy S21 smartphone series. The reports further revealed that Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will be launched a few months after the unveiling of the Galaxy Buds Live.

However, there is no confirmation on what exactly this product would be. Xiaomi has officially launched two new devices in the market under its sub-brand Redmi. The company has introduced Redmi Note 9T and Redmi 9T in the European market which is said to be a twisted variant of Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G respectively. Both these Note 9 devices have already made their debut in China in November last year. The Redmi Note 9T is a 5G variant while the Redmi 9T is a 4G version.
