Play a game
This is one of the new Snapchat features. To play a game on Snapchat with your friend, you first need to open that friend’s chat. Then, press on the rocket icon made on the keyboard bar. Once you do this, a list of games will open up. Select the game you want to start playing and it will then begin on the chat itself. Your friend will also be able to join in. As of now, only Snap Squad and Bitmoji Party are present on the app.
See where your friends are using the Map
Open Snapchat and make sure the camera is facing you. Then swipe down from the top. Snapchat’s map will open in front of you and you will be able to see your friends’ Bitmojis at different locations in the world. We should mention that these are the locations where they last checked Snapchat.
Answer truth and dare questions
Using the new Truth and Dare filter on the app, you can play the iconic game over there. The app has created the game using AI and first, it will make you choose ‘Truth’ or ‘Dare’. If you choose Truth, a blue bubble will pop over your screen with questions like “Have you ever been kicked out of anywhere?” With dare, ‘Dare’ a Red bubble will pop-up asking you to do things like roll your eyes dramatically. You can record the response and share it with friends.
Change emojis next to your friend’s name
Snapchat adds various emojis in front of your friends’ names to define the level of friendship you share with them on the app. However, if you don’t like these emojis, you can change them. Go to Settings, and click on Customize Emojis. Here, you will be able to choose emojis for your Super BFF, BFF, Besties, BFs, Mutual Besties, Mutual BFs, and Snapstreak.
Set up two-factor authentication
We should tell you that once you do this, you would need to remember your password each time you log in. But if that’s no problem with you and you value security, you should enable this. Go to Settings and click on two-factor authentication. You will be able to choose among text verification and authentication app. The app will then send you a code each time you try to log in.
Find out which song is playing

Share Snapchat Stories on other platforms
You can now even share your Snapchat Stories outside the app. For this, all you have to do is tap and hold the Story to bring options. Here, you will be able to see the option of sharing the Story outside Snapchat.
Create a Snap Streak
A Snap Streak is created when you and a particular friend of yours send snaps to each other on consecutive days. In fact, it doesn’t really have to be Snaps, it can also be calls, video calls, Bitmojis, or anything else you like. It’s a lot of fun once you start doing it.
Customize your own avatar (Bitmoji)
For this, you have to download the Bitmoji app. There, you can decide what your avatar will look like including the details like eye colour and small ones like adding socks to your outfit during winter. Furthermore, you can come back and customise it again whenever you want. All the stickers on the app will then appear like your Bitmoji.
Make voice and video calls
This one is fairly simple. And chances are that you know it about this Snapchat feature, but we’ll tell you in case you don’t. Just go to the friend’s chat whom you wish to call. You will see a call icon and a video camera icon next to their names. Press on the Phone icon to call, and the video camera icon to make a video call.
