Moto G9 Plus reportedly surfaced on BIS certification website
After launching Moto G9 Plus in Brazil earlier in September, Motorola is reportedly prepping up to introduce this device in the Indian market as it has now been spotted on Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website.
According to MySmartPrice, The Moto G9 Plus has been listed on BIS website with model numbers XT2083-7 and XT2087-3. However, Motorola has revealed no details as to when it would launching the handset in India. If reports are to be believed that the smartphone is likely to launch along with Moto G9 Power in the second week of December.
On the specifications front, Motorola’s Moto G9 Plus is powered by Android 10 software along with the 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC. With a 6.8-inch full-HD+ Max Vision display, the handset offers 4GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage capacity.
As far as camera is concerned, Moto G9 Plus smartphone has been equipped with a quad rear camera module that comprises a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP 118-degrees ultra-wide-angle snapper, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfie shooter, this smartphone is fitted a 16MP front camera.
With a 5,000mAh battery along with 30W TurboPower fast charging feature, Moto G9 Plus offers Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and a 3.5mm audio jack. The 5000 mAh superbattery of the G9 Plus offers two days of use on a single charge. The user can listen to music for 147 hours or watch videos for 19 hours or surf the internet for 14 hours. It delivers 12 hours of battery life in just 10 minutes of charge.

Twitter plans to re-launch verification early next year
In order to help users to be able to express themselves and understand whom they are talking to on Twitter, the microblogging has planned to re-launch verification, which comprises of a new public application process, in early 2021.
For this, Twitter notified that it needs to update the verification policy with the users’ help. Moreover, the policy will lay the basis for future improvements by defining what verification means, who is eligible for verification and why some accounts might lose verification to ensure the process is more equitable.
Twitter is also defining some of the core types of Notable Accounts that are served by verification. According to the proposed policy, “the blue verified badge on Twitter lets people know that an account of public interest is authentic. To receive the blue badge, your account must be notable and active.”

Nokia to build the first-ever cellular network for NASA on Moon
Nokia In order to help pave way for a sustainable human presence on the Moon, Nokia has been selected by NASA to build the first-ever cellular network on the natural satellite as a pioneer of wireless and networking technologies. The tech major will be developing ground-breaking technologies by deploying LTE/4G communications system on the lunar surface sometime in late 2022. The mission objective is to deploy the first LTE/4G network on the lunar surface, and the mission duration will last several weeks to prove the network and verify its performance.
Nokia further stated that the contract awarded to the company is part of NASA’s Tipping Point program that fosters the development of commercial space capabilities and benefit future missions. NASA plans to leverage these innovations for its Artemis program that will create sustainable operations on the Moon by the end of the decade in preparation for an expedition to Mars.
According to Thierry E. Klein, Head of the Enterprise and Industrial Automation Research Lab at Nokia Bell Labs, “The ambitious initiative that will witness Nokia’s LTE/4G network – the precursor to 5G – provide critical communication capabilities for a range of future data transmission applications.”
As far as what Nokia is building on the Moon for NASA, it has been revealed that the company’s lunar network consists of an LTE Base Station with integrated Evolved Packet Core (EPC) functionalities, LTE User Equipment, RF antennas and high-reliability operations and maintenance (O&M) control software. The LTE Base Station with integrated EPC functionalities will be mounted on the landing module, while the LTE User Equipment will be mounted on a rover or other payloads being deployed outside of the lander.
“We are delivering a complete end-to-end LTE network that has multiple parts to it. The first part is an LTE base station with integrated Evolved Packet Core network functionality. It’s integrated into a very small, ultra-compact form factor that will go on the lunar lander from our mission partner, Intuitive Machines, along with a passive antenna system. The second part is the user equipment (UE) and an omni-directional antenna that will be integrated in a rover. The rovers will be transported to the lunar surface and autonomously deployed by the lunar lander. An LTE link will be established between the lander and the rover to provide lunar surface connectivity,” added Klein.
Connectivity and communications are critical for any sustained human presence on the Moon and Mars in the future. Astronauts will need the same advanced capabilities that we have on Earth in space to support their activities and run their applications, whether that is enabling voice and video communications capabilities, telemetry and biometric data exchange, sensing applications, or controlling robotics. LTE/4G is well-established in terrestrial networks, provides excellent performance and economies of scale, and meets the initial mission requirements. Also, LTE/4G has a well-defined path to 5G.
The equipment needs to be hardened for environmental stresses such as vibration, shock and acceleration, especially during launch and landing procedures, and the harsh conditions experienced in space and on the lunar surface, including temperature, vacuum and radiation.
One of the purposes of the mission is to test and learn about radio propagation on the Moon. The signal from cellular networks travels by means of electromagnetic waves, which do not require an atmosphere to propagate.

The Japanese company Fujifilm has launched its new mirrorless camera to its flagship X-Series in India. The company has introduced the Fujifilm X-S10 mirrorless digital camera that will be available with a variety of lens kit options. The device is the perfect equipment for beginners, vloggers and photographers with in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) features as well as a movable LCD screen in a compact body. The camera is said to come at an affordable price point.

Nokia 2.4 has been officially launched in India by HMD Global. Prior to its launch in the country, the device was launched in Europe alongside Nokia 3.4. However, there is no word on the launch of the latter device. Nokia 2.4 comes with an octa-core MediaTek processor, HD+ display and dual rear cameras. Spotify reportedly resets passwords of over 300 million accounts
After a recent credential stuffing attack, Spotify has reportedly started resetting the passwords of over 300 million accounts that were targeted. The action has been taken after vpnMentor’s research team delved deep into an Elasticsearch database comprising of more than 380 million records that even contained login credentials as well as other user data being validated against the Spotify service.
According to vpnMentor’s research team led by Noam Rotem and Ran Locar, The size of database was 72GB database and it contained over 380 million records. However, there is no source of origin of the database and how the fraudsters were targeting Spotify. It is believed that the hackers were likely using these stolen login credentials from another platform, app, or website to access Spotify accounts.
The vpnMentor further notified about the discovery and investigation timeline. This was discovered on July 3, 2020 (reviewed on July 9th) and Spotify was contacted on July 9th, 2020. The action took place between July 10 and July 21. It also confirmed that the database belonged to a group or individual using it to defraud Spotify and its users.

Samsung unveils Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s smartphones for early next year
Samsung has unveiled the latest smartphone models: the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s, making innovative solutions even more accessible to users. Both smartphones are equipped with durable batteries, a versatile set of cameras and large displays for easier viewing. The Galaxy A12 will be available from January 2021 and the Galaxy A02s from February 2021.
On the battery front, these smartphones carry a 5000mAh battery along with a 15 W fast charging function to provide a seamless video watching experience. Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A02s and A12 enables the users to browse comfortably with the 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display for much clear images.
As far as the camera is concerned, Samsung asserted that the Galaxy A02s and A12 smartphones carry a set of lenses that enable the users to easily click perfect photos. The Galaxy A12 houses a 48MP main camera along with a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera to take a spectacular view of the landscape. On the other hand, the A02s carries a 13MP main camera. Besides this, both smartphones house a 2MP depth camera to help one focus attention on what is most important. Additionally, Samsung revealed that the 2MP Macro camera will capture extraordinary close-ups and bring out the beauty of the most complex compositions.
Samsung Galaxy A12 and A02s is comfortable to hold in hand. The devices have a matte finish to the back. While the Galaxy A12 is available in black, white and blue colours; the A02s is just available in black and white colours. In addition, the Galaxy A12 is equipped with a protected Samsung Knox platform, and access to the device is secured by a fingerprint reader, located on the side of the smartphone.
Meanwhile, Samsung has announced that Google Assistant will join Amazon Alexa and Bixby to offer enhanced discovery abilities in order to enable the users to seamlessly control their smart home devices with a voice assistant. Mind you! Google Assistant is fully integrated into Samsung Smart TVs and requires no additional downloads, hardware, or installation. According to the South-Korean giant, this feature on the smart TVs is currently available in the UK, France, Germany and Italy. It will be further introduced to 12 other countries by the end of this year.
The support of voice assistant options allows the Samsung Smart TV users can now access their favorite entertainment and real-time answers on screen at a much faster pace. Besides this, the Samsung TV users can easily browse channels, adjust the volume, control playback and open apps by activating voice commands. What is WhatsApp OTP Scam and How you can protect yourself
WhatsApp is an immensely popular instant messaging app which is now being used by everyone across the globe and has now been hit by a new scam that lets access to a user’s WhatsApp account, therefore, letting hackers hack your profile. The hackers have found a new way to attack and dupe the user, they will pretend to be your friend and send you a text message containing an OTP. If you share that code this will grant them access to your WhatsApp account. So today we are here to help you keep your profile safe from hackers.
It let the hackers grant access to the user’s account posing a big threat. So, it is very important for you to know how they are doing this to get access to your personal information.
The WhatsApp scamsters are using the OTP as their new way to steal your private data and even your hard-earned money. When we enable a new WhatsApp account on our device, we are required to provide a valid mobile number through the instant messaging platform using its two-factor authentication (2FA) to verify the user. Theis 2FA is now posing as the biggest threat and they pretend to be your friend or a family member. They will try to reach you through any other social media platform and will send an OTP on your device. They then request you for an OTP stating some sort of emergency. For instance, they would say that the friend’s account has been logged out of their account and require your OTP to log in again.
By chance, if you share your OTP with the scamster this will now only let them grant access to your account but also leave you logged out of your own personal WhatsApp account while giving them full access to your account and unfortunately multiple-device support is not yet available on the platform.
It should be noted that WhatsApp never sends you OTP just casually. And you get an OTP never ever share the OTP with someone known or unknown as someone is trying to get access to your account and if you share the hacker will get full access to your messages, contacts and your personal media. In a similar way, they will try to dupe someone in your contact list by asking for monetary help.
However, if you have mistakenly shared your OTP with the hacker, immediately reset your WhatsApp account. Secondly, you can also enable two-factor authentication on WhatsApp.
How to enable two-factor authentication to safeguard yourself from WhatsApp OTP scam:
- Open WhatsApp on your device and tap on the three dots on the top right corner
- Open settings and then click on Account
- Now tap on Two-step verification and enable the option
- On enabling it you will be asked to enter a six-digit pin
- You need to enter the pin twice, followed by your email address
- On confirming your email address, the two-step verification gets enabled and you can also disable it by changing the pin.
- Notably, you will be asked to enter your password frequently whenever you open WhatsApp.
Oppo F17, Oppo A15, Oppo A12, and Oppo Reno 3 Pro received a permanent price cut in India
The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has permanently reduced the price of the three of its new smartphones in India. Oppo F17, Oppo A15, Oppo A12, and Oppo Reno 3 Pro have received a price cut of up to Rs 2,000. These devices will now be available at new pricing both via online as well as offline retailers.
Oppo F17 was launched in India in September this year and the company offers the device in four variants out of which only the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model price has been dropped by Rs 500 and now retails at Rs 18,490. Test of the model’s pricing remains unchanged. This device comes with dual selfie cameras quad rear cameras, Super AMOLED display and more. The smartphone comes in three colour finishes Navy Blue, Classic Silver, and Dynamic Orange.
Oppo A15 is the company’s budget device which was launched last month in India. It comes in two different configurations 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage option. After a price cut both the models now retail at Rs 8,990 and Rs 9,990 respectively. Earlier these variants were available at Rs 9,490 and Rs 10,990 respectively. The Phone includes a triple rear camera settled inside a square-shaped module and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a waterdrop-style display notch with an AI brightness feature. The phone is offered in two colour options Dynamic Black and Mystery Blue.
The next on the list is Oppo A12 which comes under the affordable segment. Though it is available in two options only the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage model price has been reduced to Rs 8,990. Earlier the device was available at Rs 9,490. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 processor and comes with dual rear cameras and a waterdrop design display. This smartphone comes in two colour options Black and Blue.
On the other hand, all the models of Oppo Reno 3 Pro price have been permanently cut in the country. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage price has now been reduced to Rs 24,990 for Rs 25,990. While the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage price has been cut to Rs 27,990 which was earlier available at Rs 29,990. Reno 3 Pro comes with a dual hole-punch display along with a 64-megapixel quad camera set up. The device will be available in three colour options: Auroral Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Black.
