There were reports last month suggesting Vivo V20 Pro 5G launch in India. But in a new development, the price of the device has been leaked as well as now available for pre-bookings via offline retails stores in the county. The device was earlier speculated to launch at the end of November but now it is expected to arrive next month. The key highlights of the smartphone include a Snapdragon 765G processor and an AMOLED screen.
As per the latest report by 91mobiles Vivo V20 Pro 5G price has been revealed. The device is now up for pre-orders via offline retailers in the country in addition to pre-booking bank offers. In India, the smartphone is said to be available with a price tag of Rs 29,990 which goes in line with the pricing set for the Thailand market which also costs under Rs 30,000.
In addition to this a poster has also revealed the bank offers that include 10 percent cashback via ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda, easy EMI options, and Jio benefits, among others.
On the other hand, Tipster Sudhanshu via Twitter has revealed that the Vivo V20 Pro will launch in India on November 25. To recall Vivo V20 Pro was introduced in Thailand in October at TBH 14,999 that translates to Rs 35,300 for the single 8GB RAM.

Rockstar Games has finally revealed that The Cayo Perico Heist will be making way on Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online on December 15. Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, a joint US-European satellite built to monitor global sea levels, lifted off on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California Saturday at 9:17 a.m. PST (10:47 p.m. IST). International collaboration is critical to both understanding these changes and informing coastal communities around the world.”
NASA revealed that the spacecraft disintegrated from the rocket’s second stage and unfolded its twin sets of solar arrays after entering in orbit. Furthermore, the ground controllers successfully acquired the satellite’s signal. The initial telemetry reports revealed the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich in good health. It will now undergo a series of exhaustive checks and calibrations before it starts collecting science data in a few months’ time.

Google Stadia is a gaming platform that lets you play games across screens in short, it is one place for all the ways one plays. Right now, its app is available for Android devices on Google Play Store. And now the company has announced that Stadia is now heading to iOS as a web app instead of a standalone app on the Apps Store.
As per Google’s recent tweet, Stadia will now be supported by iOS and is in the first phase. The tweet reads, “As you might have heard, the first phase of iOS support is coming to Stadia! Stay tuned for more to come.”
So soon a progressive Web app (PWA) of Google stadia will be available on the Web browser. These days we have been listening about eSIM a lot as every other smartphone brand is now offering eSIM card support that is known to improve the signal quality for people around the world. What is an eSIM?

So, the users do not need to look for CSPs and go to CSP shops to buy SIM cards while continuing to enjoy all legacy SIM services such as roaming services, local breakout services, or SIM applets with multi-international Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) services when and where applicable. The consumers can choose a new local CSP to remotely provision and activate a new subscription to the device when needed, over the air. Thus, your device can easily rely on a global eSIM to be able to connect all their devices all over the world offering seamless global connectivity services provided by CSPs across the entire device life cycle.
But this does not mean that your device does not have support for a regular SIM. The SIM tray consists of a slot available for a SIM card while the eSIM needs to be activated either by scanning the QR code provided by the preferred carrier or by entering parameters manually as the manufacturers have already integrated a small SIM card inside the phone.
Which phones support eSIM functionality and which region supports this technology?
All the latest Apple devices including iPhone 12 series, iPhone X series. However, Pixel devices also use eSIM technology but which was restricted to the US only. Other than the US this functionality is available in Austria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, India, Spain, the UK and more.
What are the similarities between both the SIMs?
Both are entirely different technology and both share very few similarities. Both can easily connect to your device to the telecom providers. Both can identify phones as well as subscribed plans and can be used simultaneously and lastly, SIM and eSIM are technically SIM card. But the regular SIM can be physically removed or inserted into your phone while eSIM comes embedded into a dual-SIM phone.
Pros and Cons of SIM:
Starting with pros, a regular SIM provides better services in local areas as it provides a better prepaid SIM plan at a local market or while you are abroad at a convenience store. SIM is removable and is also upgradable if it gets outdated or if you are looking to upgrade your plan.
While the drawbacks/cons here are that it can be easily hacked and this gives hackers your account details including Banks, social media, emails and more. Sim relies on apps and it receives signals from cell phone towers. So, if you are traveling to a remote area then there will be fewer cell phone towers that don’t offer better coverage. It also wears out easily from corrosion or rubbing.
Pros and Cons of eSIM
The best part about the eSIM is that it can’t be hacked easily. It is easy to locate and the service provider can control it over the air so your lost or stolen phone can be easily traced. These cards can’t be damaged or lost as they come embedded inside the phone from the manufacturers. It is smaller in size and can also fit into wearable devices such as smartwatches. Can be used anywhere in the world.
eSIM tech is not available for the older devices as it’s new technology and it only comes on expensive devices. Difficult to transfer data as it cannot be removed from the phone so you have to download from your cloud storage. This does not work with multiple devices as you cannot pop it out from the phone.

Vivo X50 design and display
In terms of the design, Vivo X50 surely impresses. The smartphone is very good to look at and comes with a sturdy built and a premium form factor. The back panel of the Vivo X50 is frosted and it houses the camera panel, the LED flash and sports Vivo‘s branding. We really liked the fact that the matte finish of the back panel us such that it doesn’t catch fingerprints too easily. The device is available in two colour options: Frost Blue and Glaze Black. We got the former one for the review and we think it looked splendid.
The handset has a metallic frame on its edges and while the right one has the volume rocker keys and the power button sandwiched on it, the secondary microphone is on the top and the SIM tray, primary microphone, Type-C port and speaker grille are on the bottom.
Flip the device over and you will be greeted by its 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz and comes with HDR10+ certification. The screen is outlined by very thin bezels on all four sides, and this adds to the premium looks of the device. The display also has a hole-punch cut-out selfie camera on the top left and a fingerprint scanner is embedded towards the bottom.
The display is undoubtedly one of the best aspects of the smartphone. The colours projected are bright and vibrant and they remained consistent at different viewing angles. The images were sharp and clear at all times and it was a delight to play games and watch content from YouTube on it. The sunlight readability of the smartphone’s display was decent too.
To put it in a nutshell, the design as well as the display of Vivo X50 are definitely among its pros and were both very impressive. The phone is beautiful to look at and the display is a treat to the eye.

Moving on, let’s talk about the performance of Vivo X50. But before we do that, let’s take a minute to take a look at the rest of its specifications. Vivo X50 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC clubbed with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is available in two storage options – 128GB and 256GB. The device runs Android 10 skinned with Funtouch OS 10.5 and it houses a 4,200mAh battery. The charger in the box comes with support for the company’s 33W FlashCharge technology. For imaging duties, there is a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 13MP portrait lens and a 5MP macro lens.
The customised-Android skin of the smartphone comes with a number of customizations. First and foremost, there is bloatware on the device. You’ll find some apps like Angry Birds, PhonePe and Facebook, and a number of others that are Vivo’s own. We should mention that Vivo’s own app cannot be uninstalled from the smartphone.
There are a number of app shortcuts and the device comes with a Digital Wellbeing feature as well. You also have the option of customizing the lighting effects for call or other notifications in the Settings section.
Moving further, the performance of Vivo X50 is really good. The biometric locks of the device work very smoothly and any function that you may wish to perform happens instantly thanks to the processor and the display with such a good refresh rate. There were times when we multitasked a lot on the handset, but did not face a problem even once.
Gaming on the smartphone is another aspect that got us all happy and excited inside. We played a lot of Asphalt 9: Legends and Call of Duty and the device handled them both very well. There is a Game Space app on the device that can be used to keep all the games in one place. Using this can also help you block incoming calls when you are playing a game and it locks the brightness of the display. You can also use it to record your screen while gaming. Even after prolonged gaming sessions, Vivo X50 did not heat up, and we think that’s definitely a pro.
The 4,200mAh battery of the smartphone easily lasts more than a day even with heavy usage that involves gaming, long phone calls, a lot of video recording, watching content on YouTube and using social media apps. With moderate usage, the device will easily last two days. Using the bundled charger, the battery of the smartphone can be charged completely within an hour.

Now, let’s speak about the cameras of Vivo X50. As we mentioned earlier, the device comes with a set of four camera sensors. The 48MP primary Sony IMX598 sensor comes with optical image stabilisation. The quality of the images taken from this lens is very amazing. The pictures capture a great number of details and the colours are vibrant and bright. You even have the option of turning on the AI scene recognition, particularly if you like images with slightly saturated colours. During the day, all the images taken were great, but in the ones taken in lowly lit areas or at night, we did observe some level of noise. However, if you enable the Night Mode, the problem gets fixed instantly.

The 8MP ultra-wide camera also does a good job in daylight. The details captured and the colours are both good, however, that’s only the case during the day. At night, the details deteriorate and the images get grainy. Plus, the Night Mode doesn’t help too much in the case of the ultra-wide camera.

Coming to the 13MP portrait lens, you can get an extremely zoomed-in view of the subject you wish to click. What’s better, users have the option of making edits before taking the shot. Most of the pictures that we clicked using this camera lens turned out to be great. We even clicked some images using the 5MP Macro lens of the smartphone and that too did a great job as we could capture even the very tiny details of the object being captured.

Even the 32MP selfie camera of the device works very well and we managed to get some very good selfies using it. However, the problem of the pictures not being good in lowly-lit conditions persisted. Plus, the Night Mode didn’t manage to do its wonders with this camera lens too.
Verdict
There is no reason for us to discourage you from buying the Vivo X50 as the device proved itself to be good in most categories. It has a beautiful design, a vibrant display, a lasting battery and decent cameras (we call them decent only because of the performance at night). But we should mention that in this price range, you can also buy offerings from OnePlus that pack a better processor. However, that should only affect you if you are a lot into gaming because Vivo X50 handles all major tasks very well.

And to watch these shows with your friends all you need to do is start a video chat on Instagram or Messenger or create a Messenger Room. In an Instagram video chat, tap the media button in the bottom right and select the ‘TV & Movies’ tab. In a Messenger video chat, swipe up to access the menu, select Watch Together then select the ‘TV & Movies’ tab. From there you can select various videos and other content, including Avani and Post’s shows.
Chat Themes is the next new feature that will be accessible when you update to the new messaging experience. You can personalise your conversations with various themes such as tie-dye and love. Both Messenger and Instagram will be getting a special chat theme with TinyTAN, a group of lovable characters created from the seven members ofBTS.
