2022 is now upon us, and as we usher in this new year, no doubt you’ve been setting yourself impossibly high goals with regards to any resolutions you may have made. Of all the targets you could set yourself, perhaps joining the 365 photography project might be something a little more enjoyable to saddle yourself with this year.
Usually, the resolutions we make tend to revolve around cutting away some vices that are not doing us any favours. Maybe you are going to give up alcohol for the month of January; good luck with that, or perhaps you want to exercise more or just generally be more active. Perhaps your goal is just to be a nicer human being or to treat yourself more kindly. These are all lofty goals and are likely to fall away long before spring comes along.
So how about something new this year?
In This Article
What is the 365 Photography Project?
Are you a keen photographer? Do you enjoy taking photos and want to do something a bit different this year? The 365 Photography Project, unsurprisingly, involves you taking a single picture a day in order to end the year with a stunning collection of photographic gems.
The idea is you take a photo every day, starting on January 1st, and you can look to cover some sort of theme. You might be deliberately taking an abstract photo every day, something that stands alone, or you might try to cover specific themes, perhaps family or a personal self-portrait.
You might post each picture singularly on a service or network like Instagram, or you might wait until the end of the year and release it in a video format; with each frame being a photo, there are many ways to tackle the challenge.
There are No Rules
Importantly this isn’t a challenge that requires you to follow some set of rules or guidelines, it’s something to enjoy, and that has no boundaries except any you choose to set yourself. You can take the photos with your phone or with a professional camera; it’s entirely up to you.
Some may also elect to miss a day or two, or sometimes you might get wrapped up in your daily life, and you forget, no problem, just try to do it as often as possible and take multiple photos on certain days to make up for any possible slippage. You might also fill in a missed day or two with a good choice of stock photos if that helps you keep your chosen theme working smoothly.
Possible Themes
If you are going to shoot for a specific theme, there are endless possibilities. Maybe you want to chart the climate, looking for images that represent the time of year; perhaps you are only going to photograph people.
Your theme may be the choice of using photos without any additional help, using only natural light and no filters. You might even choose to develop the photos yourself instead of using digital camera technology.
Maybe you are a foodie, and you have set yourself the daunting but tasty task of documenting your dinner every day, which would lead you to have to come up with a large number of recipes or eating out regularly to make up for days when you can’t be bothered to cook.
You will need a certain amount of dedication to pull off the 365 Photography Project, but not so much as to make the act less enjoyable and fun.
You might choose to open a specific account or blog to document your project so that you can show your friends or the entire world, or it might just be an intimate account for your own benefit. Whatever works for you.
Planning
If you want to go all-in, guns blazing, on this project, then you can make things easier by planning ahead of time. You might have to spend a few minutes a day or week lining up the subject matter for your photo a day, but if this is something you wish to do, then you’ll find the relatively short amount of time you need in order to do so.
You can come up with individual ideas, maybe per week, a new theme, or a larger project that covers the entire period. Work out what you might shoot and how you’d go about setting up the process of getting the photo you want.
If you plan effectively, then you might even be able to afford to miss a day here or there, as you’ll have the back-ups from earlier days to fill in the gaps. Our advice in terms of planning is to keep it simple; otherwise, the project will lose your interest, and then you’ll give it up within a matter of weeks.
You might even want to group up with others on similar projects. This is a good way to keep the whole process fresh, and you might also be able to brainstorm ideas among yourselves to make it all the more beneficial.
You can also go online to see other’s 365 Photography Project ideas to help inspire you and give you a sense of what it is possible to achieve.
Manage Expectations
The key here is never to make it something that is hard to strive for. The purpose of the project is to be fun, and it should never become a chore, and that’s where you need to bring in the element of expectations. Ask yourself why you are partaking in the project and what you hope to achieve; that way, you don’t give in after a few weeks, disappointed that you didn’t get involved for the right reasons.

Samsung has finally announced the debut of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G in India. So, today, we’ve compared its specifications to those of its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE, in order to see what features have been sacrificed to make the FE the cheapest phone in Samsung’s premium S21 series. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE are compared below.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor make up the triple rear camera setupSamsung Galaxy S20 FE: Triple rear camera setup that includes a primary 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree field of view (FoV) and f/2.2 aperture and lastly an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: 8GB RAM with 128GB model/ 8GB RAM with 256GB variantSamsung Galaxy S20 FE: 6GB RAM with 128GB, 8GB with 128GB, and 8GB with 256GB models
When comparing all of the specifications side by side, it was discovered that there isn’t much of a difference. The camera’s battery, the display is nearly identical to that of its predecessor. This design language is carried over to the Galaxy S21 FE, which appears very identical to the S21.The manufacturer chose a little smaller but higher refresh rate AMOLED panel this time, and the difference is nearly insignificant. However, there is still a difference since the firm has modified the camera module, which is essentially identical to the vanilla S21 but has been lifted slightly this time.Even the display is more durable, thanks to the Gorilla Glass Victus panel, which replaces the previous generation’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The big differences are in the software; the new phone comes preloaded with Android 12 while the older model comes with Android 10. There is also a significant alteration in the CPU, which is of a better level this time. So, if you’re happy with the specs on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and your budget is low, we recommend the S20 FE. Otherwise, the option is yours, since we don’t expect any substantial changes on the recently released Galaxy S21 FE.

This would benefit those who are constantly on the go. In terms of appearance, usage, and specs, all three phones are virtually identical. So, until we get the opportunity to test both Vivo and Xiaomi devices we would suggest you to go for HyperCharge.

Hello there, readers. We’re back with another long-term review for you. We’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G as our primary smartphone for quite some time now, and we’re finally ready to give you its full review.
In This Article
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G review: Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is the M51’s successor. This time, however, it has a different form factor and design. This phone is much thinner and lighter due to its smaller battery capacity. It is one of Samsung’s slimmest phones, weighing only 175 grams. However, if you’re used to a large smartphone, the device feels a little hollow. The phone is wider and taller than the one before it.The back panel is the same and comes with old glossy plastic with vertical strips as before. Only the colours Blue and Black are available for this smartphone. The Galaxy M52 5G, on the other hand, has a fantastic display. It has a 6.7-inch full HD super AMOLED+ display with a resolution of 1,080 by 2,400 pixels. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.So far, we’ve found the screen to be bright and contains good contrast, with excellent white balance. Even when used outside, the display is very bright. Despite the fact that it has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, the touch responsiveness is satisfactory.Samsung’s UI has also been optimised for 120Hz, and we didn’t notice any major micro stutters or lags when switching from 120Hz to 60Hz or vice versa. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5, but there is no in-display fingerprint sensor. Instead, there is a fingerprint sensor on the side that is quite fast and accurate. The headphone jack is also missing on the Galaxy M52 5G, which is surprising.Aside from that, you don’t get stereo speakers, but the audio quality isn’t bad either, as it’s loud and detailed.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G review: Performance and Cameras
Now we’ll look at the performance aspect of things. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC powers the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. The 5G-capable phone comes in two RAM configurations: 6GB and 8GB, with 128GB of storage.Because it is a capable chipset, this phone should deliver excellent results. If you want apps to run in the background for a longer period of time, we recommend getting the 8GB version. The chipset is paired with the Adreno 642 GPU, which provides a good gaming experience, though it isn’t as powerful as the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 found on the OnePlus Nord 2. The processor is perfectly capable of handling light to medium workloads. We’ve only played Call of Duty: Mobile for about an hour, but we’re impressed with its gaming capabilities. Under extremely high graphics and frame rates, COD maintains a stable 60 frames per second.Heavy multitasking had a negative impact. Also, due to its slim form factor, the phone gets extremely hot, especially near the camera module. The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G supports 11 5G bands, according to the company: N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28, N40, N41, N66, N78, which we think is a good thing. If you’re looking for a 5G phone that can keep up with the times, this could be a good choice. When it comes to cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G features a triple rear camera system with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. A 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP macro sensor round out the setup. The device will have a 32MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phone’s camera is of decent quality. Both primary and ultra-wide photographs have vibrant colours and great exposure. Similarly, when zoomed in, the portrait images have good skin tone and bokeh effect, but lacks details. It provides a nice skin tone when clicking self-portraits. In low-light situations, the phone was able to maintain better sharpness. On the flip side, the EIS has been turned off for videography. Videos with a resolution of 1080p@30fps are a bit shaky. While the videos recorded in 1080p at 60 frames per second and 4K at 30 frames per second come out as extremely shaky. So, not the best one out there for videos.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G review: Conclusion
Finally, the Galaxy M52’s battery life is incredible. It provides enough endurance for a day’s worth of gaming, watching videos, and scrolling through social media feeds. Yes, you will only receive a 15W charger in the box.The performance of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is comparable to that of the more expensive Galaxy devices. It certainly appears to be a better deal. However, given what the phone actually offers, the company is charging a bit more.
24 sports modes. Yes, Playfit Slim smartwatch actually comes with that many sports modes. It is one of the most talked-about things of this smart device, besides its battery that is claimed to last 7 days and an affordable price of Rs 3,999. But how much of all this is real? Let’s find out in our Playfit Slim smartwatch review.
In This Article
Playfit Slim review: Design
The look and feel of the Playfit Slim smartwatch is elegant and premium in spite of its pricing. The dial of the smartwatch is made of aluminium and it has a solid build. The device is available in Galaxy Black and Mystic Blue colours, and the one that we got for review was dressed in Black. The dial of the Playfit Slim watch is dominated by the 1.28-inch round IPS LCD display that is surrounded by thin bezels and has a 2.5D cover plastic. While the plastic helps in case the smartwatch drops, it is prone to getting fingerprints. Speaking about the display of the device, it has a decent level of brightness and clarity, and sunlight readability was good too. We didn’t face a problem using the smartwatch outside our house. The watch has silicone straps that were mostly comfortable to wear and didn’t cause any irritation to the skin. Coming back to the dial, on its right side, the Home button of the smartwatch is placed that can be used as the Power button, to wake up the watch, to go back to the previous screen and obviously, to go back to Home from any given function. On the back of the dial, the heart rate sensor and the charging slot are placed. Overall, we can say that although the Playfit Slim cannot be called a stunner, it does have a good design and it looks tasteful. It was too big for our wrist, but when we asked someone with a broader wrist to try it on, it didn’t look out of place. You would easily be able to wear the smartwatch to your work meetings as well as to a casual party.
Playfit Slim review: Performance
Now, let’s shed some light on the performance of the Playfit Slim smartwatch. The device runs RTOS or real-time OS, which is basically a lighter, trimmed down version of the regular software. Several other smartwatches that fall under the same price range also run the same operating system. Playfit Slim has a number of functions that it can perform including tracking steps and sleep, measuring heart rate and blood-oxygen levels, and it comes with 24 sports modes. The last one is easily one among its USPs, since there is array of sports that it helps in tracking including Outdoor Running, Swimming, Cycling, Table Tennis, Skipping, Badminton, Tennis, Walking, Climbing, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Volleyball, Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, Spinning, Dance, Gymnastics, Jumping Jacks, Boating, Sit-Up, Yoga, and Indoor Running. For connectivity, the smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.0. To connect the smartwatch to your smartphone, you will first have to download the PlayFit app from Google‘s Play Store or iOS App Store, and then follow a few mentioned steps. We had no trouble setting up the watch and anyone who’s even slightly digital savvy would be able to do it without any help. As with all other smartwatches, you need to have your smartphone’s Bluetooth on at all times. Once you do this, you would be able to see all the menus on the smartwatch and the app will show you your stats too. One has the option of picking from several watch faces to customise the watch according to themselves. The step tracking of the device seemed to be accurate at most times, unless we were driving, then it obviously got confused with the movement. But we don’t really count that as a con, as most other smartwatches have the same problem. The sleep tracking and the heart rate tracking seemed accurate as well, but there were times when they didn’t show up on the app. We tried to measure our Blood-oxygen level too, and firstly we should mention that it would only happen if you would put an Oxymeter on your ring finger, or press the top of the same finger hard for a few seconds. But the good thing is, that result always matched the one on the Oxymeter, which is definitely a plus. We also tried using the various sports modes on Playfit Slim, and we were impressed by the consistency with which it tracked our activity. If you are into sports or are a fitness freak, this smartwatch is definitely for you. One, it offers to track so many sports, and secondly, it does it well. Last but not the least, the battery level of the smartwatch, which was touted by the company to be of 7 days, actually lasts. Although we didn’t use it for a whole 7 days, we noticed that even after 5 days of our usage, only 50% of the juice was gone. So it could have easily lasted us 7 days. Pros
Solid build and good design
Lasting battery
Cons
Could be more feature-rich
Sleep and heart rate data doesn’t reflect in the app at times
Verdict
Although there are a number of smartwatches available in the budget segment, Playfit Slim is for those who are big time into sports and fitness but don’t want to spend a lot on their device. It has a solid build, an average display, and it comes with 24 sports modes and a lasting battery. At a price of Rs 3,999, it is a good buy. However, you must also check out Amazefit in the same price segment because that was a notch up in terms of performance, yet is priced around this one.
