Oppo A52 8GB RAM model launched in India, now available via Amazon
The Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has launched a new 8GB RAM variant of Oppo A52 in India. To recall the company introduced this device in a single 6GB variant in the country a few months ago. All the specifications and features of the device remain the same as its original model that bears a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset to power the smartphone. In addition to this, there is a hole punch display with quad rear cameras. The device will be available via the e-commerce website Amazon. Read on to know more about the mobile phone.

Oppo A52 already has a 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage option that comes with a price tag of s 16,990 in India. But now the company has introduced an 8GB RAM option with 128GB of storage. The price of this model has been set at Rs 18,990 in the country. Both the variants of the device can now be purchased via Amazon in two colour options Stream White and Twilight Black. As a part of the Amazon Prime Day Sale, there will be an instant discount of 10 percent for the HDFC Bank cardholders along with no-cost EMI options and an additional exchange offer on the purchase of Oppo A52.

Oppo A52 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ punch-hole display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. This smartphone runs on ColourOS 7.1, based on the top of Android 10 and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For optics, there is a quad rear camera set up that includes a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and two 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The device packs a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging tech. Also, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The audio device is now up for sale in India and will compete against Apple AirPods Pro in terms of design and features but at an affordable price. In order to make outdoor activities more informative and data-rich, Garmin India announced the Tactical edition of its GPS-enabled Instinct smartwatch in India. Built for the true outdoor tech enthusiast, the Tactical edition supports users with premium features like Jumpmaster, Dual Position Format, Night Vision, and Stealth Mode along with other preloaded tactical activities.

Google has signed an agreement to invest $4.5 billion (Rs 33,737 crore) in Jio Platforms Ltd, taking a 7.73 percent stake in the company, pending regulatory review in India. This is the first investment from the Google For India Digitization Fund announced earlier this week, which aims to accelerate India’s digital economy over the next five to seven years through a mix of equity investments, partnerships, and operational, infrastructure and ecosystem investments.
Google and Jio Platforms have entered into a commercial agreement to jointly develop an entry-level affordable smartphone with optimizations to the Android operating system and the Play Store.
“Together we are excited to rethink, from the ground up, how millions of users in India can become owners of smartphones. This effort will unlock new opportunities, further power the vibrant ecosystem of applications, and push innovation to drive growth for the new Indian economy,” said Sanjay Gupta, Country Head & Vice President, Google India, and Sameer Samat, VP, Product Management.
According to Google, This partnership comes at an exciting but critical stage in India’s digitization. It’s been amazing to see the changes in technology and network plans that have enabled more than half a billion Indians to get online. At the same time, the majority of people in India still don’t have access to the internet, and fewer still own a smartphone—so there’s much more work ahead.
Google’s mission with Android has always been to bring the power of computing to everyone. The tech giant has been humbled by the way Indians have embraced Android over recent years. It believes the time is right to increase its commitment to India significantly, in collaboration with local companies, and this partnership with Jio is the first step. It wants to work with Jio and other leaders in the local ecosystem to ensure that smartphones—together with the apps and services in the Play Store—are within reach for many more Indians across the country. Google further asserts that the pace of Indian innovation means that the experiences it creates for India can ultimately be expanded to the rest of the world.
“For Google, our work in India goes to the heart of our efforts to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible. We opened our first Indian campuses in Bangalore and Hyderabad in 2004. Since then, we’ve made India central to our Next Billion Users initiative—designed to ensure the internet is useful for people coming online for the first time. We’ve improved our apps and services so they’re relevant in more Indian languages and created offline versions for those facing network constraints. We’ve extended our tools to small businesses, sought to close digital divides with initiatives like Internet Saathi, and we’re increasingly focused on helping India harness AI. More and more, apps we create for India—like Google Pay or our Read-Along language-learning app—influence what we do globally,” a Google blog post revealed.

And the T2 chip also checks that software loaded during the boot process has not been tampered with, giving the 27-inch iMac, and any Mac with the T2 chip, the most secure storage and boot process of any computer.”
The iMac now features a Retina display with 14.7 million pixels of resolution 1 billion colours, 500 nits of brightness, and support for P3 wide colour for better front-of-screen viewing experience. The Retina 5K display on the 27-inch iMac features True Tone technology, which automatically adjusts the colour temperature of the display to match a user’s ambient lighting. With the renders of Huawei’s new flagship have allegedly surfaced online, the news is now rife that the upcoming Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro would boast an even larger rear camera array than as compared to its predecessor Mate 30.
According to the leaks appeared on HandsetExpert that collaborated with tipster @OnLeaks to showcase you exclusive renders of Huawei’s Mate 40 upcoming flagship phone that will likely see the light of the day during this autumn.
These renders by HandsetExpert in partnership with @OnLeaks hints that the design of Huawei’s Mate 40 series is in line with the Mate 30 device that was launched last year. However, the major difference that caught the attention is a camera bump that has been placed on rear end and is large in size as against the Mate 30. The camera module comprises of triple camera system along with a sensor. Mind you! We are yet to find details of this triple camera system.
Furthermore, rumour mills have stated that Huawei Mate 40 series of smartphones could likely run on Android 10 along the company’s EMUI skin. However, not much details have been revealed at this time.

Samsung to host Galaxy Unpacked 2020 tonight: Everything we know so far and how to watch the event live
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 is going to take place today. The South Korean electronics brand is going to take the wraps off its most anticipated smartphone series Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series. Tonight Samsung is going to host a Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event that will be live-streamed via the company’s official social media channels that is Samsung Global Newsroom, Samsung.com, and Samsung Global’s Facebook page. The event will kick off at 10 AM EST that is 7.30 PM IST.
Before tonight’s event, many of the specs information related to the upcoming device has been revealed through recent teasers and a series of leaks as well as rumours. Recently, the price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 was leaked on the web stating that the device is expected to come at EUR 949 that translates to Rs 84,000 whereas the 5G model is rumoured to be priced at EUR 1,049 that roughly is Rs 92,800. While the pricing of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is slated to be EUR 1,299 that translates to Rs 1,14,900. On the other hand, the 5G variant could be priced at Rs 1,19,400. All these prices are just rumours and can be taken with a pinch of salt, as the final pricing will be revealed at the tech galaxy Unpacked 2020 event tonight.
About the specifications of the vanilla variant, it is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 990 SoC options with 5G options available in the select markets. This device will be offered in an 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage option. It is stated to have a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED with 20:9 aspect ratio. For the optics, it is speculated to come with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom, 12-megapixel primary sensor with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. While on the front it is said to have a 10-megapixel selfie camera. Note 20 is most likely to pack a 4,300mAh battery with wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.
Coming to the next device, which is the highly anticipated smartphone from the series. It is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 990 processor (India variant) paired with up to 12B of RAM and Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology for quick transfer of files. In addition to this, there could be a Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 990 SoC options. The phone is likely to come with a bigger, 6.9-inch curved-edge Dynamic AMOLED display that will be offering a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition to this, this handset will also be a triple camera at the back that will include a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor, with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. It is most likely to have a redesigned S Pen with nine-millisecond latency.
Next is the company foldable device namely Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G that we could witness at today’s event with a foldable 7.7-inch Super AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Super AMOLED outer display will measure 6.23-inch. However, it is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chipset paired wit up to 12GB of RAM
