Rumour and reports related to the upcoming OnePlus 8 series have been floating on the web for quite a few months. The Chinese premium smartphone maker is expected to launch the series a bit earlier this year most probably in mid-April. Now according to a fresh leak, full specifications of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro has surfaced. The OnePlus 8 devices are expected to come with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor, a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 30W wireless charging support.According to a tipster, the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display along with 120Hz refresh rate support. The tipster took to Twitter to further reveal the full specifications of the device. It is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 865 combined with 8GB and 12GB RAM options along with 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is going to come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.Furthermore, the OnePlus 8 Pro is going to feature a quad rear camera setup with two 48-megapixel sensors, an 8-megapixel camera sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. While on the front there is going to be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. As per leaked listing, it is going to boost a 4,510mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T and 30W wireless charging as well as 3W reverse wireless charging support. Coming to the OnePlus 8 specification it is stated to come with a 6.55-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, there will be a Snapdragon 865 processor with 8GB and 12GB RAM options. Additionally, it is going to come with a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel camera sensor. With more and more people continuing their daily routine by staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft is introducing news ways to help in mobilization of the remote workforce. According to a ZDNet report, Microsoft, which had earlier introduced temporary adjustments to select non-essential capabilities, has now made temporary adjustments to OneNote, SharePoint and Stream video conferencing features to Office 365 services.
Microsoft has made temporary adjustment to download limit of file attachments in OneNote in order to support the Office 365 users during these unprecedented times. A post on Microsoft’s Tech Community has revealed that the tech giant will restrict the download of file attachments to 100MB for OneNote. According to the post, “Most OneNote clients limit file uploads to 50MB, so this shouldn’t impact most attachments.” However, the post also revealed about scenarios do deal with larger files that will no longer successfully download without one of the following workarounds:
If you are using OneNote for Windows 10, you could attach as a cloud file by following this path. Go to Insert > File > Upload to OneDrive and insert link. Attaching as a cloud file enables others with access to the notebook view your attachment without any size restrictions. If you don’t have access to the original file, use either of the two workarounds listed below to obtain the file, and then attach it as a cloud file.
Secondly, you could open your notebook in OneNote for the web and then go to https://www.onenote.com. Once the website opens, you click the purple Sign in button and save the attachment by right-clicking the attached file.
You could even use OneNote 2016 or another desktop version of OneNote to download the attachment. The post reveals that the officials did not expect these changes to have significant impact on users’ experiences. Among the examples of the types of changes Microsoft might take would be things like how often its services check for presence; intervals in which other parties typing are displayed; and video resolution.
As far as SharePoint is considered, Microsoft is rescheduling specific backend operations to regional evening and weekend business hours. This move creates an impact on capabilities like migration, DLP and delays in file management after uploading a new file, video or image. Besides, it also reduces video resolution for playback videos.
Now moving on the Stream, people timeline has been disabled for newly uploaded videos. However, the videos which have been uploaded earlier will not be impacted. Also Microsoft has adjusted meeting recording video resolution to 720p.
Microsoft is also helping millions of people adapt to remote work. The company is ensuring that the government and organisational functions can continue while keeping safe distances is critical to our society today.
“As demand continues to grow, if we are faced with any capacity constraints in any region during this time, we have established clear criteria for the priority of new cloud capacity. We will also consider adjusting free offers, as necessary, to ensure support of existing customers,” said Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365.

Oppo launched its Reno 3 Pro smartphone in India at a starting price of Rs 29,990. The smartphone comes with a number of great specifications like 64MP primary camera, 8GB of RAM and 4,025mAh battery. We spent a few days with the Oppo Reno 3 Pro to know whether it’s really as good as it sounds on paper. Read the rest of our review to know what we think of it:
Oppo Reno 3 Pro design and display
As always, we’ll begin by talking about the design of the device. It is worth mentioning that the design of Oppo Reno 3 Pro’s model that has been launched in India is different from the one that has been unveiled in China. The one that has been launched in China comes with a curved-edge screen that sports a hole-punch camera. On the other hand, Oppo Reno 3 Pro that has been launched in India has a flat display and it sports a dual hole-punch on its top left corner. While the bezels that outline the display of Oppo Reno 3 Pro are thin, the chin is thicker than the rest of the three. The device’s screen also has the fingerprint scanner embedded on it.
Flip over, and you will see the gradient back panel of the smartphone. The handset is available in Auroral Blue, Midnight Black, and Sky White colour options and the one that we got for review was dressed in Blue. The back panel of the device has a glossy finish and it houses the quad-camera setup and has the Oppo branding. We should point out that the back of the handset is very prone to getting fingerprint marks so it is recommended to carry a micro-fibre cloth with yourself. The edges of the smartphone are made up of plastic. While the right one houses the power button, the left one has the volume rocker keys and the SIM tray. The bottom edge has the 3.5mm headphone jack, the Type-c port, the speaker grille and the microphone, while the top edge has the secondary microphone on it.
Coming to the 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display of the device, it was one among the pros of Oppo Reno 3 Pro. The screen showcased bright and vibrant colours that remained consistent at different viewing angles. The user also gets the option of adjusting the colour temperature according to their own preference. We literally watched films on Netflix during our time with the device and we didn’t find the experience to be disappointing even once. The images were crisp and the colour output remained consistently good.
The sunlight readability of the display was good too, and this is a very important aspect, according to is. The in-display scanner that we mentioned earlier works well at all times, even when our finger was slightly moist. In a nutshell, we can say that the display of Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphone was definitely among its positive points.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro performance and cameras
Before we begin talking about the performance of Oppo Reno 3 Pro, let’s take a minute to look at its other specifications. The smartphone is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core Mediatek Helio P95 SoC clubbed with 8GB of RAM. The device can be bought in two storage variants: One with 128GB internal storage and the other with 256GB of onboard storage. In case users require more space, they can install a microSD card on the device. The handset runs Android 10 skinned with ColorOS 7 and it houses a 4025mAh battery that has support for VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.
Speaking about the UI of the smartphone, we should mention that it comes with some bloatware. The pre-installed apps on Oppo Reno 3 Pro include Facebook, Amazon, Opera News, Netflix, WPS Office, Helo, Gaana and DocVault amongst others. The device also comes with Game Space and Game Centre. The good thing is that these apps can be uninstalled. Other than this, the user interface of the smartphone is mostly clean. There is a smart sidebar that can be accessed by swiping right from the home screen. This includes a number of useful shortcuts like screenshot and screen recording. Other than this, there are some extra features like Smart Driving and Riding modes. Oppo Reno 3 Pro also comes with Digital Wellbeing feature of Android 10 that helps users cut down on screen time.
Coming to the performance of Oppo Reno 3 Pro, it was decent. We did not face any lag during our time with the device and with 8GB of RAM, multi-tasking was not an issue at all. However, if we compare it to other smartphones in the same range, the performance of Oppo Reno 3 Pro does not match up in terms of speed.
Gaming was also decent on the smartphone. While playing games like Alto’s Odyssey and Temple Run 2, when we tried playing graphic-hungry games like Asphalt 9: Legends, we did see some frames drop. On the upside, the smartphone never heated up or warmed up even if we played games for 30 minutes straight.
The 4,025mAh battery was one among the strong points of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. Even with heavy usage, the smartphone’s juice lasted for almost a day and a half. The smartphone charges also pretty quickly with its 30W charger. It usually took us around an hour to charge the device completely when its cell was 0%.
The call quality of the smartphone is good and we could make and receive calls even in areas like basements and elevators. We could clearly listen and be heard at the be the person on the other end.
Finally, let’s talk about the cameras of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphone. The device comes with a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP mono lens. The camera of the handset also comes with 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom capabilities. For selfies and video calls, there is a 44MP front-facing snapper and a 2MP depth sensor.

The camera app of the device comes with Night, Portrait, Panorama, Slo-mo modes and it even has the Time-Lapse feature. The app also has support for AI Scene recognition.
The images taken during the day turned out extremely well. They had a great amount of details and the colour reproduction was very accurate and vibrant. The images taken with the primary camera of the smartphone remain good at night or in dimly-lit areas.

The wide-angle camera of the device gets a lot more area in the frame, but the quality of the images taken does drop. The zoomed-in shots turned out to be decent too. The portrait shots turned out to be good too and users get the option of setting the level of blur before clicking the picture.

Coming to the selfies that we took with the smartphone, most of them turned out to be decent, but we did feel that there could have been more details in the images.
Verdict
To conclude, we would say that a starting price of Rs 29,990, Oppo Reno 3 Pro does come with its share of pros. The display of the smartphone is definitely its positive point. The lasting battery and the great primary camera are also its bright points. The performance of the smartphone could have been better though. If we compare that to other devices in the same range, it is somewhere behind the rest. However, the positives really outdo that. We think that you wouldn’t be disappointed if you buy the Oppo Reno 3 Pro.

Apple is taking all measures to keep it users updated as it has now introduced iOS and iPadOS 13.4. According to MacRumours, this new update comes after the release of iOS and iPadOS 13.3.1 with Screen Time Communication Limits.

The cursor appears as a circle that highlights user interface elements, text fields and apps on the Home screen and Dock, giving a clear indication of what users can click on. Fluid gestures on the trackpad make it easy to switch between apps, access the app switcher and activate the Dock, Control Center and apps in Slide Over.
Apple has also revealed that “Most third-party apps work with no change at all, and developers can go even further with new APIs that let them deliver unique experiences in their apps.”
Additional new features that iPadOS 13.4 includes new templates in Pages and Keynote. For the first time in iWork, users can add a drop cap to make a paragraph stand out with a large, decorative first letter. Collaboration will also become easier than ever with support for iCloud folder sharing and the ability to edit shared documents while offline.

In order to help people stay connected while being in quarantine to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, Instagram has now introduced media sharing feature that enables users to view Instagram posts together with your friends over video chat. “You can start a video chat by tapping the video chat icon in the Direct inbox or in an existing Direct thread, then view saved, liked and suggested photos/videos by tapping the photo icon in the bottom left corner in an ongoing video chat,” as revealed on an Instagram blog post.
Other than media sharing feature, Instagram has also launched a “Stay Home” sticker. The Facebook-owned photo-sharing app has announced that any accounts you follow who use the sticker will be added to a shared Instagram story. This will enable Instagram users to see how people across the world are practicing social distancing to keep COVID-19 at a bay.
Moreover, Instagram has also been helping its users gain access to accurate information related to the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak. Wondering how? Well, Instagram users get an educational message connecting them to resources from the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health ministries.

We will also start to down rank content in feed and Stories that has been rated false by third-party-fact checkers.”
In addition to this, the posts which are rated false by third-party-fact checkers will be removed from Explore and hashtag pages. Instagram will also remove false claims or conspiracy theories based on COVID-19 that have been flagged by leading global health organizations and local health authorities as having the potential to cause harm to people who believe them.
Instagram has also prohibited misleading ads for products that refer to COVID-19 in ways intended to create urgency, guarantee cures or prevent people from contracting it. It has also temporarily banned advertisements and branded content that promote certain medical supplies which even comprises of face masks.

Due to health concerns, the e-commerce website Flipkart and Amazon has decided to temporarily suspend their services in India. On Tuesday, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a complete lockdown in the country so as to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Resultant to this order, Flipkart issued a statement via a blog post suspending their services for a period of 21 days however all other services such as video streaming, payment, recharges, online games, etc will still remain accessible via Flipkart app. The blog post says, “Consequent to the order issued on March 24 by the Ministry of Home Affairs announcing a 21-day lockdown across India to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19, we are temporarily suspending our services.” It further says, “Your needs have always been our priority, and our promise is that we will be back to serve you as soon as possible. We urge you to stay at home to be safe.” This means the Walmart-owned e-commerce giant will not take any orders during the 21-day lockdown.In the meantime, its biggest competitor Amazon has decided to temporarily stop taking orders and also disabled shipments for lower-priority products to ensure safety. According to the company from now onwards the company is going to only take high priority products orders such as households, healthcare, hygiene products, etc. The changes will be effective from March 24th and will be updated when the company resumes normal operations.The company said, “To serve our customers’ most urgent needs while also ensuring the safety of our employees, we are temporarily prioritizing our available fulfillment and logistics capacity to serve products that are currently critical for our customers such as Household Staples, Packaged Food, Health Care, Hygiene, Personal safety and other high priority products.” Pending orders which are on low priority can be canceled and the users who have already made payments will also receive a refund.It further added, “Amazon and our network of partners are helping communities around the world and in India to deliver much-needed supplies directly to the doorsteps of people who need them. We will remain focused on providing this vital service to people in India, especially to those most vulnerable, like the elderly or those without access.”

If an iPhone user asks Siri whether or not they have Coronavirus pandemic, Apple’s voice assistant starts shooting a couple of questions to them. Several news reports have Siri will ask the users if they have come in close contact with someone who is tested positive for COVID-19 virus.
Apple’s Siri also tells them to watch out for symptoms like fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath. They may appear up to 14 days after exposure. It also states that in case someone is unable to reach a provider, they may use telehealth apps for help.

Developers will help with things like automating responses to commonly asked questions, which can take some of the burden off of overwhelmed staff. They’ll also show these organizations how to share updates with their audience most effectively and how to seamlessly transition from automated conversations to chatting with a live person when necessary,” said Stan Chudnovsky, VP of Facebook Messenger.
Argentina’s Ministry of Health is launching a Messenger experience, with support from Botmaker.com, to answer questions from the public about the coronavirus, and to provide fast, reliable and official advice 24 hours a day. Organisations like UNICEF and Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (NHSRC) are also using Messenger to ensure people have the latest information about COVID-19.
Besides this, Facebook is also creating an online hackathon and inviting developers to build messaging solutions that address challenges related to the coronavirus such as social distancing and keeping people educated and informed.
According to a blog post on Facebook, The social media platform is “also partnering with hackathon provider Devpost to invite developers around the world to participate in an online hackathon leveraging the Messenger platform to build messaging solutions that address COVID-19 issues like social distancing and keeping people educated and informed.”
Developers who are interested in participating can subscribe to the Facebook for Developers newsletter for updates.
Meanwhile, Facebook has almost doubled server capacity for WhatsApp to provide reliable communication to people across the countries. Apart from this, Facebook has also launched an information hub with tips on how healthcare workers, educators and local businesses can stay connected using WhatsApp. It has also donated $1 million to the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to expand the presence of local fact-checkers on WhatsApp.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand is all set to launch a new smartphone Redmi K30 Pro in the market. Due to coronavirus, the company has to plan an online launch event to unveil the device. Before it makes its way to the other markets the company is going to Launch Redmi K30 pro in its home market China. Alongside the smartphone, the company is also going to bring a refreshed version of RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition along with Mi Air Purifier F1 and Redmi x Keith Haring accessories that are said to include a set of headphones and phone case.

The Redmi K30 Pro is going to get unwrapped through an online launch. The launch event will be live-streamed via the company’s official Weibo account that will begin at 2 PM CST (11.30 AM IST).Today the company will be launching two devices Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. The pricing of the upcoming smartphones are still not known but is tipped to come with a price tag of CNY 3,299 (around Rs 35,200) whereas the pricing of the other model is yet to be known.

Redmi K30 Pro is confirmed to feature an HDR10+ display with a Super AMOLED panel. Moreover, it is going to offer 1200 nits of peak brightness and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. According to some reports, both K30 pro and K30 Pro Zoom will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor combined with UFS 3.1 storage. Redmi K30 Pro is expected to be offered in two variants 6GB with 128GB internal storage and 8GB with 128GB internal storage. Whereas, the Zoom Edition is said to be offered in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage option. Both are also expected to be offered in Moonlight White, Sky Blue, Purple, and Space Grey colour options.The teasers suggest that Redmi K30 Pro will be featuring a pop-up selfie camera setup, unlike its predecessor which comes with a hole-punch camera. Additionally, there is going to be a circular camera module to house four rear cameras that include a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel sensor assisted by 3x optical zoom, and dual optical image stabilisation (OIS). Other camera details will be revealed during the launch.According to some rumours the device will come with the largest vapour chamber (VC) liquid cooling. The software technology giant Microsoft has revealed a new Windows vulnerability to be found in all the devices supported by previous Windows OS as well as Windows 10. According to a new security advisory released by the company, the attackers are exploiting a previously undisclosed security vulnerability. However, the company has also disclosed that at the current moment no patch is available for the vulnerability.According to the company, the front parsing remote code execution vulnerability is present in the Adobe Type Manager Library allowing apps to manage and render fonts available from Adobe Systems. The attacker could exploit the vulnerability by tricking and convincing the user to open a specially crafted document or viewing it in the Windows Preview pane. This allows it to run malware on the Windows device.However, the company is working on a fix and it promised to release a security patch for the vulnerability by next month. Updates that address security vulnerabilities in Microsoft software are typically released on Update Tuesday, the second Tuesday of each month. This predictable schedule allows for partner quality assurance and IT planning, which helps maintain the Windows ecosystem as a reliable, secure choice for our customers. The company has also listed some OS versions that are exposed to this bug. By the time you can follow a few workarounds explained by the company that will reduce the risk.Disable the Preview Pane as well as details pane in Windows Explorer. This will prevent the automatic display of OTF fonts in Windows Explorer and also prevents malicious files from being viewed in Windows Explorer. However, this will not prevent a local, authenticated user from running a specially crafted program to exploit this vulnerability. The bottom edge has the 3.5mm headphone jack, the Type-c port, the speaker grille and the microphone, while the top edge has the secondary microphone on it.
Coming to the 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display of the device, it was one among the pros of Oppo Reno 3 Pro. The screen showcased bright and vibrant colours that remained consistent at different viewing angles. The user also gets the option of adjusting the colour temperature according to their own preference. We literally watched films on Netflix during our time with the device and we didn’t find the experience to be disappointing even once. The images were crisp and the colour output remained consistently good.
The sunlight readability of the display was good too, and this is a very important aspect, according to is. The in-display scanner that we mentioned earlier works well at all times, even when our finger was slightly moist. In a nutshell, we can say that the display of Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphone was definitely among its positive points.
Coming to the performance of Oppo Reno 3 Pro, it was decent. We did not face any lag during our time with the device and with 8GB of RAM, multi-tasking was not an issue at all. However, if we compare it to other smartphones in the same range, the performance of Oppo Reno 3 Pro does not match up in terms of speed.
Gaming was also decent on the smartphone. While playing games like Alto’s Odyssey and Temple Run 2, when we tried playing graphic-hungry games like Asphalt 9: Legends, we did see some frames drop. On the upside, the smartphone never heated up or warmed up even if we played games for 30 minutes straight.
The 4,025mAh battery was one among the strong points of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. Even with heavy usage, the smartphone’s juice lasted for almost a day and a half. The smartphone charges also pretty quickly with its 30W charger. It usually took us around an hour to charge the device completely when its cell was 0%.
The call quality of the smartphone is good and we could make and receive calls even in areas like basements and elevators. We could clearly listen and be heard at the be the person on the other end.
Finally, let’s talk about the cameras of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro smartphone. The device comes with a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP mono lens. The camera of the handset also comes with 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom capabilities. For selfies and video calls, there is a 44MP front-facing snapper and a 2MP depth sensor.

According to the company from now onwards the company is going to only take high priority products orders such as households, healthcare, hygiene products, etc. The changes will be effective from March 24th and will be updated when the company resumes normal operations.
The company said, “To serve our customers’ most urgent needs while also ensuring the safety of our employees, we are temporarily prioritizing our available fulfillment and logistics capacity to serve products that are currently critical for our customers such as Household Staples, Packaged Food, Health Care, Hygiene, Personal safety and other high priority products.”
Pending orders which are on low priority can be canceled and the users who have already made payments will also receive a refund.
It further added, “Amazon and our network of partners are helping communities around the world and in India to deliver much-needed supplies directly to the doorsteps of people who need them. We will remain focused on providing this vital service to people in India, especially to those most vulnerable, like the elderly or those without access.”
