Realme’s smartphone with Samsung’s 64MP main camera sensor to launch in India first
Earlier this year, Samsung showcased its 64MP sensor, which, we should mention, is the highest ever resolution for a smartphone lens so far. Following this, a number of reports surfaced online about Samsung planning to launch a handset with its 64MP camera. Soon, a report also said that Xiaomi will be using Samsung’s camera in its smartphone. Now, Realme has confirmed that its upcoming camera will also come with a 64MP sensor on its back panel.
The news has been confirmed by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, who tweeted a photo on his official Twitter handle taken from the 64MP sensor. This is a proof enough that the upcoming smartphone from Realme will come with a 64MP Samsung GW1 camera sensor. In addition to this, Sheth also said that the company will launch the smartphone in India first and then it will be unveiled in international markets.
The photo tweeted by the CEO was reportedly taken with Samsung’s 64MP camera sensor with 1/1.72-inch sensor and 1.6-microns pixel size. The image shared by Sheth is of a city taken from afar and it shows great details and a minimal level of noise. Sheth also said that the upcoming camera is capable of capturing clear shots and has great low-light imaging capabilities. The image comes with a watermark and this suggests that the smartphone will come with a quad-camera setup with the main camera being the 64MP sensor.
Sheath’s tweet read, “The camera sensor in talks is the Samsung’s 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that is capable of capturing 16MP images in low light scenarios through the Tetracell technology introduced by the South Korean tech giant, Samsung. Other than that, the sensor would also support up to 100dbs real-time HDR and it would allow the users to record 1080p slow-motion videos as the sensor comes with Super PD PDAF technology. #DareToLeap.”
Other than the camera setup and the main camera details, no other information about other cameras as well as the smartphone itself are known. Realme is also planning to launch its Realme X and the Realme X Lite in the Indian market in the second half of the year. According to Realme, it had around 7.25% of market hold by the end of Q1 2019. However, the company is aiming for a market share hold of around 12% – 15% by the end of 2019.
Other than a new smartphone with quad-camera setup and 64MP main camera, the company is also aiming to launch a new 5G equipped smartphone in the Indian market. Not much is known about it as of now, but we will update you as we get to know more.Working on the new premium killer! Introducing world's first smartphone camera with 64MP GW1 largest 1/1.72” sensor and mega 1.6µm pixel with amazing clear shots in low light too. Gigi Hadid wants a change in copyright law for her Instagram account
Everyone has had the feeling at least once in their lives that they should be the ones making decisions on various social media networks. This can particularly be true if you have more than 48 million followers on Instagram. We are talking about Gigi Hadid. The famous model thinks that she should be able to post paparazzi photos on her Instagram account because her participation – from posing to choosing what she wears for them – is very key and vital. She also believes that this actually invalidates the ownership claims of the photographer.
An agency called Xclusive-Lee has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit this year that says that Hadid posted one of their images on her Instagram account, and this violates the company’s copyright. In response to this, Hadid’s legal team filed a motion to dismiss in which they said that her posting the image was nowhere unfair because she contributed to the image that was captured in form of a smile and her outfit.
The memorandum of support states that Hadid did not infringe on any copyright. It further says that “Ms. Hadid posed for the camera and thus herself contributed many of the elements that the copyright law seeks to protect.” It also said that Hadid creative directed the photograph and not the photographer who took the shot on the streets of New York City. While the picture has now been deleted from Hadid’s Instagram account, it showed her in a denim outfit standing in a street of New York City and smiling.
Furthermore, the team has also said that since Hadid cropped the picture while posting it, she was only emphasizing on her contribution to the image by showing her pose to her followers and she did not show them the composition that was created by the photographer. It is worth mentioning that usually, photographers have full copyright when they capture a shot. This holds particularly true when the image is taken in public. The lawsuit and the arguments that are being made challenge this long-held assumption.
Speaking to technology website The Verge’s Why’d You Push That Button podcast, Tim Hwang, lawyer and director of Harvard and MIT’s Ethics and Governance of AI Initiative said, “The minute I create something, I have copyrights. I have rights over that content, and so really anything I create, if it is taken by someone else without my permission and copied and shared, I do theoretically have the right under the law to get it taken down, to control it, to protect and constrain that content.”
However, he did point out that “fair use” also means that people can skirt around copyright and this is particularly true if the image has been altered meaningfully. This is also considered fair if the person posting the photo is not making money out of it or doing it for a non-profit entity.
According to Hadid’s team, she is not making money from her Instagram account and has not done anything to derive Xclusive of its profits. The team said, “Ms Hadid merely reposted the photograph to her Instagram page and made no effort to commercially exploit it. Her reposting thus reflected a personal purpose different than the photographer’s purpose in taking the photograph, which was to commercially exploit Ms. Hadid’s popularity.”

Google Duo gets a Snapchat Stories-like feature
Video calling app Google Duo has rolled out a new update that allows users to share Snapchat-like single photos with their contacts. This new feature enables to send any of the saved pictures from their smartphone through Google Duo to their contacts.
A report in 9to5Google says, “Released on Thursday, version 56 of Google Duo adds the application to Android’s system share sheet, including in Google Photos and Files. This allows users to message any saved photo on their device via Duo.”
The report further says, “Once in the app, you have access to the same tools as when sending a video message. This includes drawing and adding text with multiple colours and sizes available. An image can then be simultaneously sent to multiple Duo contacts.”
We should mention that Duo competes with a number of other video calling apps that allow their users to send and receive images. This may be the season that Google decided to add the Snapchat-like feature.
With the feature, whenever the user shares its photos with any of its chosen contacts, the photos will automatically be deleted after 24 hours. This is not the first time when an app has rolled out such a feature. Apps like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and WhatsApp also come with similar features known as ‘Stories’ or ‘Status’ on their platforms.
However, Google has tweaked the feature a bit. While other platforms let users share these pictures with everyone, Duo lets people share it with a specific contact or a few people. The similarity is that they get deleted within 24 hours.
The video calling app already comes with a feature that allows its users to record or send audio messages to their desired contacts. If you already allow your app to auto-update there are chances that you might have received the Google Duo version 56 update.
To get the new feature, you can head to Google Play Store and update your app to the latest version.
After the update has been finished, you will now be able to enjoy sharing the self-destructive image to the contact of your choice. For doing this, you can head over to the gallery of your smartphone and then select the image that you want to share. Then, just tap on the share button and choose the contact you want to share the image with. you will also get an option to edit the photo by adding text and writing in various colours.
You can share the image with up to five contacts at once. When you select your desired contact and share the picture, it will appear in the thumbnail of the receiver’s contact with time and hours left.

The screen of the new MacBook Pro is reported to have a resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels – highest in a MacBook so far. The current high-end MacBook Pro with 15.4-inch display comes with a 2880 x 1880 pixels resolution.
Other than that, the 16-inch model of the MacBook Pro will also be powered by a new CPU. However, we should mention that using a new CPU to the 16-inch model of MacBook Pro seems unlikely as the company had updated its MacBook Pro line up last month itself. Furthermore, the new laptops by Apple are powered by a new and powerful processor.
However, if the reports are true and if Apple really launches a 16-inch model of MacBook Pro to its line up, then it will be interesting to see what specifications it will hold and what its price will be. However, considering that the current high-end model of MacBook Pro has a lower screen resolution and an older CPU than the rumoured model, it will undoubtedly be price higher than that.
Other than the 16-inch model of MacBook Pro, Lin also expects that the company will be upgrading the CPUs of the 13-inch MacBook Pro as well as the MacBook Air. There is also a possibility that we might see an upgraded version of the 12-inch MacBook.
Last week, we saw that Apple filed several new MacBook models with the Eurasian Commission database. According to the database, the company had filed seven new MacBook models – A2141, A2147, A2158, A2159, A2179, A2182, and A2251. With the report of the new and upgraded models of MacBooks, there is a possibility that the 16-inch MacBook Pro might be a part of these 7 MacBook along with the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air as well. The company hasn’t revealed anything about the newer models of MacBook that it is reportedly working on, but we will see them at their launch in September 2019.

How to keep your MacBook from overheating?
Apple’s MacBook series laptops are one of the most well-known, popular and thinnest laptops in the market. They come with a great number of features and pack good specifications yet they are light and easily portable. Since their launch, the MacBook-series of laptops have made quite a name for themselves for being light and thin.
Even the high-end MacBook Pro with the latest technology and hardware is still lighter than laptops made by other companies. Each year, Apple makes its laptops thinner and thinner while packing serious hardware. However, being small and thin means that all the hardware is packed in a tight and extremely small space. All the hardware that is used to build it – motherboards, CPU, GPU, SSD, RAM and other elements – will be smaller in size than their regular version and will be placed in a tight compartment.
But it should be noted that all the elements and hardware of the laptop produce heat. The closer they are to each other, the more concentrated the heat will be. That’s where the fan of the laptop comes in use. The fans inside the MacBook/ laptops are used to disperse of the heat so that it is channeled out of the device itself through vents.
Although the fans might handle some regular and easy tasks the user throws at the laptops and keep the machine cool, but there are times when even the fans won’t be able to disperse of all the heat the laptop/ MacBook generates. When a MacBook/ laptop overheats, it is more likely to fail and stop working. So, here are the ways in which you can prevent your MacBook from overheating:
- Make sure you don’t cover your keyboard or put anything over it when the MacBook is running in closed-lid mode. It will most likely cause the system to turn on/off repeatedly. Other than that, it will also drain your battery and generate heat.
- Shut down your MacBook at night to let it cool or set it on Standby mode.
- When using actively during the day time, set it to Standby mode when not in use. This will cool the device and save considerable amount of battery and reduce the heat produced from the MacBook’s internals.
- When putting it in a bag and while travelling, make sure that your MacBook is always turned off.
- Don’t put your MacBook on a cushion when working as the soft surface might hamper the airflow vents. When a MacBook is put on a soft surface or a cushion, the rear vents of the device get blocked and this, in turn, generates heat.
- Close all the apps and software not in use as they seem to tax on the MacBook’s RAM and CPU.
- When using a heavy and taxing program/software, try not to run other heavy programs in the background as it will cost RAM and processing power of the MacBook and will produce heat.
- Most importantly, clean the air vents of the MacBook on a regular basis as dust gets accumulated on the vents quite easily. The dust when left without cleaning hampers the airflow of the machine.
Huawei will be launching a new tablet in the Indian market in the coming weeks
Last week, Chinese technology company Huawei launched a new series of smartphones in its Nova 5 series – the Nova 5, Nova 5i and the Nova 5 Pro. All the devices were launched by the company in its home country. Following the launch, a number of leaks say that the company will be coming with a new Huawei Nova 5i Pro that will have more powerful specifications. But now, a new leak suggests that Huawei will be bringing a new tablet series in the Indian market in the coming weeks. Although not much is known about the new tablet from Huawei as the word is not official yet, the images of the new offering are out and they show the device in its full glory.
Huawei’s new tablet’s images come from a popular leakster Ishan Agarwal and he claims that the company will be releasing a series of tablets in the Indian market. However, there is no mention of the names of the tablet, the series, the price point or the launch date of the device.
The images of the Huawei’s tablet suggest that it will sport a large screen with thick bezels on all sides and feature the company’s logo on the bottom bezel. There is a single camera placed on the top bezel on the front with no LED flash. On the right side of the tablet, there is a power button along with the volume rockers. On the back, there is a single rear camera placed at the top left of the device. However, the details about these cameras are currently not known. There is also the Huawei branding on the centre of the back panel that seems to be made out of plastic/ polycarbonate. At the bottom of the tablet are the two speaker grilles placed on either side of the device.
Other than the volume rocker and the power button, there is no other button on the tablet. The offering even comes without the home button. Even the back is devoid of any fingerprint sensor so there is a possibility that the device will not have the fingerprint scanner at the back or the front. With the design and the built of the tablet it seems like an entry to mid-range device and if that’s the case then it is highly unlikely that the company will place an in-display fingerprint scanner on the device.
Other than the physical aspects of the new Huawei’s tablet, there is a possibility that the device may run Android 9.0 Pie skinned with EMUI. If these devices will run on Google’s Android platform, then it might be a problematic for the potential users who purchase these devices because of the trade ban between Google and Huawei. There is a high possibility that the upcoming tablet from Huawei will not receive support and software updates as a result of the trade ban.
But how and when the Chinese smartphone maker plans to launch its new tablets in the Indian market will be seen in the coming weeks. Seeing that its competitor Samsung has already launched two new tablets in the Indian market today – Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A10.1 – the competition has toughened up for Huawei’s upcoming device even before its launch.

PUBG Mobile Military Base: 12 tricks you need to get the chicken dinner
PUBG Mobile is one of the popular games today. The best thing about the game is that every few months, we get new modes and setups to survive in. Currently, all PUBG Mobile fans are trying to survive the Military Base. Here, we have listed down 12 tricks that will help you get your chicken dinner in PUBG Mobile Military base. Take a look:
Instead of going down from one building, running across the field and then entering the other one, you can hop from one building to the other too. You may directly land on the roof, and even if you don’t and instead land on the stairs, you will end up saving a lot of time.
Stand in front of a wall and aim with your weapon. Then move your joystick towards the wall. This will show your enemy’s location if he is hiding towards the place you are facing. If you spot an enemy, you can repeat the trick to shoot them too. This can be used in instances like when your enemy is behind a door or inside a container. You can go to an adjacent room and kill them using the trick even without facing them.
A cool trick to know your enemy’s location when you are fighting inside a building is by climbing over doors. Your enemy wouldn’t expect you to do this, so most likely, they wouldn’t even notice you when you do it. Once you spot them, just head over to their location and kill them.
There are some doors in PUBG Mobile that cannot be broken by firing on them. In such cases, there is no need of using your weapons and then bring frustrated about the door not being open. Instead, just throw a Molly behind it to lower your enemy’s health. Then, you can go and attack them.
You can jump over walls that are connected to the building twice to climb them to get to the building. Another way to get to the roof is by first climbing on the spaces above the doors and then reaching jumping on the roof. Once you climb up, you will get an advantage of killing your enemies.
Instead of landing on buildings, or the ground, you can also land yourself on the tower next to the C building. You will get quite an advantage as far as easy kills go because you would not be seen easily on the tower. However, make sure you land yourself properly. If you spot an enemy on the other side of the tower, you can run down and go to the other side, climb the stairs and kill them in a surprise move by attacking from behind.
If your enemy is hiding on the second floor of a building, there’s no point heading to that floor using the stairs. Instead, rush out of the building, use the same wall trick we mentioned earlier to climb the roof and they head to your enemy’s location to shoot them from behind.
Open the door of the C building and climb it up. Get into a stable position and stay still. As soon as your enemy enters, you can kill them as you will be in a perfect position to do so.
In the military base mode, you will find various machines inside buildings. You can easily hide yourself behind them as this will serve as a good place to kill your enemies.
You can try landing directly on top of the building when you jump. This is the easiest way to go about it, provided you get a safe sport. If approaching the building from outside, use the bushes surrounding it to enter it instead of using the door as your enemy will expect you to do that.
Finding cover and laying low can really get you far when playing PUBG Mobile. The bushes around the buildings can be used for this, but then, don’t bank on them to save you for long. As we mentioned earlier, machines are a great place to hide. But make sure you don’t stay at once place for too long. The longer you stay, the more is the probability of you being spotted.
It is observed that 70% of deaths in the military base are through windows and hideouts. Landing on top of buildings is very important as it gives you access to weapons quicker than the others. Once you get access to any weapon head to the window of a house and look out for players that are running in the open. Unlike other landing spots, Military Base has a lot of open space which makes it easy for enemies to spot you while you are running. The C shaped building is an ideal recommendation as they are closely connected and has decent loot.

[td_smart_list_end] Microsoft working on it’s ‘Surface’ foldable device: Report
Since last year, we have already seen Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X foldable smartphones get unveiled. However, as of now, both are from their launch dates. We would be right to say that there is still time in foldable devices becoming mainstream. A few months back, Microsoft was reported to be interested in the segment too. Now, a new report has surfaced online that claims that the software giant will be releasing its foldable handset later this year.
According to a report by the Forbes, Microsoft is working on a foldable device and it will be a part of the company’s Surface series. The report also quotes research firm HIS Markit saying that unlike other Surface series devices, Microsoft’s foldable device will not run on Windows 10. Instead it is expected to run a new software. This software will be a new version of UI with optimization for dual display support.
Other than this, Microsoft is also working on a new Windows Core operating system that is said to be especially optimized for the foldable devices with dual screens. The OS is reported to be compatible with the Android and iCloud applications and services. So, there is a chance that the upcoming foldable device from Microsoft will run the same operating system.
Speaking more about the new Microsoft’s foldable device, it will sport a large 9-inch screen (when unfolded), so it will be as big as a tablet. The device will also be powered by an Intel Lakefield chipset and will support always-on connectivity along with 5G. The report comes after the US-based technology giant gave a demo of its new dual-screen Surface hardware. There is no official name of the foldable device from Microsoft yet, however, according to The Verge, the prototype model has a codename and it is called Centaurus. The new project Centaurus is similar to the company’s own Courier tablet concept.
Other than this, reports also claim that Microsoft is developing a new Surface device that could be carried in a pocket. Although it is a rumoured device but it carries the codename Andromeda. Currently, there is no news about the launch or other details of both these two prototype conceptual devices, but we might see them sometimes in the future.
In an unrelated piece of news, Lenovo announced the world’s first foldable PC featuring a 13.3-inch OLED 2K LG display panel with an aspect ratio of 4:3. Similar to other foldable devices, Lenovo’s foldable PC can be folded in half like a regular laptop, and when opened, it looks like a large tablet. The device is set to launch next year in 2020.

Chinese technology company OnePlus recently launched its OnePlus 7 Pro. After its launch, the handset has been receiving regular software updates. Now, the company has rolled out a new update that improves the performance of the camera of the device. OnePlus has been working hard to improve the imaging credentials of the device.
One Plus 7 Pro is packed with one of the most powerful camera setups and sports a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 13MP wide angle lens. The handset’s processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 – makes sure that all these work well.
However, some users have complained about the camera performance on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The company earlier also rolled out an update that was meant to solve some key photography-related issues. Today, a new update has been rolled out that makes the colours in the images look more accurate than they did earlier. This update has been issued as some users said that colours in images captured by OnePlus 7 Pro were not as bright as they ideally should be.
The problem with the white balance uniformity of triple cameras has also been upgraded with the latest update. The company has also improved the quality of autofocusing by improving the camera’s accuracy and stability. In low light scenes, the camera was facing an issue that showed some green tint in the images. Post the update, this is also no longer visible. Noise in HDR scenes has also been fixed. Contrast and colour saturation of ultra-wide lens has been enhanced and the images reportedly look much brighter now. The problem of graininess in shots taken in low light conditions via the telephoto lens has also been fixed. The company claims that users will get very good results even when they zoom beyond the 3x optical zoom. Clarity and colour of shots taken in nightscape have been upgraded.
As mentioned earlier, OnePlus 7 Pro was launched in India last month. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and it packs up to 8GB RAM. The smartphone houses a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie with OxygenOS baked on top. It is one among the few smartphones to come with a 48MP camera and up to 12GB of RAM.
The device comes in three storage variants – 6GB RAM/128GB storage has been priced at Rs 48,999, 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage that costs Rs 52,999 and 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage that bears a price tag of Rs 57,999.

Huawei’s Nova 5i Pro leaked schematic reveals a quad rear camera setup
Huawei Nova 5i Pro leaked images recently surfaced online, adding more credibility to the rumors of the launch of the device. Now the smartphone’s schematic has surfaced on the internet and it has revealed that the handset will be unveiled in a few days and will sport a quad rear camera setup. According to the schematic, Huawei Nova 5i Pro will house a hole-punch display and its back panel will come with a fingerprint scanner and an LED flash. However, as of now, there is no word on the specifications and features of the smartphone.
The images have been leaked by a famous tipster Evan Blass on his Twitter account. This means that the back panel of the Huawei Nova 5i Pro will be very different from that of its younger sibling that has a vertically arranged triple camera set up along with macro lens and LED flash.
The Huawei Nova 5i schematic also reveals that the device’s display will have a punch hole and an earpiece. Apart from that, it will come up with a volume button, a power key, a headphone jack, and a USB port. It is expected that the Chinese technology giant will be launching the Huawei Nova 5i Pro in a few days or maybe weeks.
Last week, the company launched it’s Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5i in China. However, the smartphone manufacturer did not reveal about its plans for its Nova 5i Pro. The new handset is expected to come with better specifications and features than Nova 5i.
According to the Chinese retailer JD.com website, the device will be launched in two colour variants – Green and Black. The Nova 5i Pro’s schematic looks completely different from the images that were leaked earlier.
The newly-launched Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5i smartphones will be powered by the new HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC chipset. The processor packs two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.27Ghz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.88Ghz that will be paired with Mali-G52 GPU. The most affordable among these handsets cost CNY 1,999, while the most high-end one was priced at CNY 3,799. There is no word on when these will be launched in India.

WhatsApp is known for adding new features to its platform time and again. It particularly known to add features that make the lives of its users easier. However, like any other popular app, before WhatsApp launches a new feature for its iOS or Android platform, it gets them in the beta version of the app first. This is because the feature is tested in beta version first and once the company is sure that there are no bugs in the update, it gets rolled out to everyone.
Earlier this year, WhatsApp rolled out the Picture-in-Picture or PiP mode for the iOS and Android version of its application. Now, a new reports claims that WhatsApp is testing a new feature for its PiP mode that will let the users minimize the video chat screen itself so that they can chat with others at the same time. However, this feature will be exclusive to Android.
In other words, it will allow the users to continue chatting with other people without disconnecting the video call itself. The video calling screen will get minimized and the users will be able to switch and surf other WhatsApp chats.
The report first surfaced on WABetaInfo and it says that WhatsApp is tweaking its PiP feature for the Android users. It is currently being tested on the Android Beta version 2.19.177 and although it is in its testing phase, it is expected to be rolled out to the stable version of the app as well. The reports also mention that the new feature looks complete but the exact timeline of its arrival is not known. As of now, there is no word on the availability of this feature for the iOS users.
Earlier, WhatsApp added a number of new changes to its platform, and the Picture-in-Picture mode was one of them. The platform also got features like in-app web browsing with which the users won’t have to exit WhatsApp to go to a link sent to them by their contacts. With the arrival of in-app browsing, the users can click on the link to open in WhatsApp itself without leaving. This month, WhatsApp also started testing a new feature on its beta Android version that would make the picture sharing experience easier for the users. Although the feature is not currently available for the stable version, it is expected to come to WhatsApp for Android in the coming weeks.
