Epic Games, developer of the popular game Fortnite together with OnePlus has introduced Bhangra Boogie Cup for Android users in the country. The new tournament features the Bhangra Boogie emote, Nana Dance Spray and a new track by Raftaar. According to the company, the gaming tournament will be held region-wise and the top three-point earners from each region can stand a chance to win OnePlus 8T smartphone along with the OnePlus Buds. Motorola Nio is the company’s alleged smartphone that has been under development. The device has also appeared in leaks a couple of times which mentioned that this is the company’s next flagship device after Motorola Edge+ to be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC. But in a new development, the company has confirmed launching its next flagship based on Qualcomm’s latest chipset Snapdragon 800-series processor.  President Sergio Buniac during the Qualcomm summit stated, “2021 will mark the tenth generation of Moto G – and nothing would make us prouder than bringing [Qualcomm Snapdragon] 800 series experiences to this family. Our mission is to deliver smarter technology for all. We can’t wait to show you more.” The company’s next flagship device is rumoured to be Motorola Nio but as per the company’s statement its next flagship device. To contradict this a report on the internet has surfaced suggesting Motorola device codenamed Nio is a variant of Moto G that is expected to be powered by 865 SoC. A well-known tipster Evan Blass via Voice has shared an image of the alleged device being called the Motorola ‘Nio’. The leaked image only shows the front panel of the smartphone featuring dual selfie cameras housed inside two separate cutouts positioned at the top left corner of the screen. Moreover, the device has thick bezels on the sides, top and bottom. The phone is said to be powered by 865 SoC and it might run Samsung DeX-like desktop interface coming to some upcoming Moto handsets. Apart from this, the alleged phone will be available in 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. It might pack a 5,000mAh battery with Android 11 operating system running on the phone out of the box. It could also have a USB-C port for charging with support for the DisplayPort Alternate Mode which is capable of connecting to external monitors.  In a previous report by TechnikNews via Adam Conway from XDA Developers, a Motorola device was spotted with model number XT2125 and codename ‘Nio’ which is expected to use Snapdragon 865 processor along with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It is likely to have a Full-HD + display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080 × 2520 pixels of resolution. In addition to this, the German publisher also hints at a well-known OmniVision “OV64B” 64MP megapixel primary sensor which is already present on Moto G9 Power or Plus. Moreover, the ultra-wide-angle sensor from the same OmniVision and is the 16-megapixel “ov16a10” sensor. While the third sensor is again speculated to be “ov02b1b” which is the 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies Motorola Nio is said to feature two cutouts on the display to play house to a dual selfie camera set up that will include a 16-megapixel sensor (OV16A1Q) and a Samsung sensor (S5K4H7) with a resolution of 8-megapixel. In addition to this, the alleged phone will be supporting a dual SIM slot and will ship Android 11 out of the box. The device comes with a whopping 6,000mAh battery to last longer. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor with an in-built Hyper Engine Gaming Technology. According to the latest report, Facebook-owned instant messaging service, WhatsApp will update its terms of service. The WhatsApp new terms and services will prompt you to either accept them otherwise you will lose access to your account. Reportedly this change will arrive next year (2021) and will come into effect starting February 8.  As per the latest information shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will update its Terms and Services in 2021. The users who do not agree to the new privacy rules will eventually lose all their data including access to the messaging service. WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of a new development that is coming next year. The screenshot mentions that if the user turns down its newTerms and Privacy Policy Updates they have no option other than deleting their accounts so all the users must agree to the Policy updates.

The screenshot stated that the key updates will include more information about the messaging app’s services and how it processes the user’s data. Besides, it also shows how businesses can use Facebook hosted services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats.  “By tapping Agree, you accept the new terms which take effect on February 0, 2021. After this date, you’ll need to accept the new terms to continue using WhatsApp pr you can always delete your account. You can also learn more about how WhatsApp processes your data in our updated privacy policy,” the snapshot mentions.

Flipkart has rolled a partial spin-off of PhonePe, which has crossed the 250 million registered user milestone since last four years of its founding. The India’s largest digital payments platform secured over 100 million monthly active users (MAU) generating almost one billion digital payment transactions in October 2020. “As Flipkart Commerce continues to grow strongly serving the needs of Indian customers, we are excited at the future prospects of the group. This move will help PhonePe maximize its potential as it moves to the next phase of its development, and it will also maximize value creation for Flipkart and our shareholders,” said Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart Group. After noticing PhonePe’s significant growth potential, Flipkart’s Board stated that this was the right time to partially spin-off PhonePe so it can access dedicated capital to fund its long-term ambitions over the next three to four years. Additionally, the partial spin-off also provides PhonePe an opportunity to constitute a new Board of Directors focused on supporting its development, and to create a tailor-made equity incentive or ESOP program for its employees. Speaking on the development, Sameer Nigam, Founder and CEO at PhonePe, said, “Flipkart and PhonePe are already among the more prominent Indian digital platforms with over 250M users each. This partial spin-off gives PhonePe access to dedicated long-term capital to pursue our vision of providing financial inclusion to a billion Indians.” According to Flipkart, PhonePe is raising USD $700Mn in primary capital at a post-money valuation of USD $5.5Bn from existing Flipkart investors led by Walmart in this financing round. Flipkart will remain PhonePe’s majority shareholder, and the two businesses will retain their close collaboration. Ever since multiple-player online action game titled Fearless And United-Guards (FAU-G) made a debut on the Google Play store, this Made-in-India game has announced on Twitter that it has crossed more than 1 million pre-registrations. The FAU-G, an action game created by Bengaluru-headquartered nCore Games, is promoted by internet entrepreneur Vishal Gondal. According to the official website, the game is likely to launch by the end of October 2020; and is expected to be available on Android and iOS. Interestingly, the news of launching FAU-G is given by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. The actor announced the release of the game soon after the Chinese-produced PUBG Mobile game app was banned in India along with 117 more Chinese apps via his Twitter and Instagram accounts. As per the official tweet of Akshay Kumar, “Supporting PM @narendramodi’s AtmaNirbhar movement, proud to present an action game,Fearless And United-Guards FAU-G. The American chipset maker, Qualcomm, recently launched its next-generation flagship system-on-chip (SoC) Snapdragon 888 5G for premium smartphones. The SoC was introduced during a virtual launch event of the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. Immediately after the announcement many of the prominent brands such as Oppo, Xiaomi, and others have announced that they are planning to introduce new devices with the latest QC chipset. Just after the announcement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC was made, Oppo was the first brand to confirm its upcoming Find X3 series will be using the latest chipset in the first quarter of next year. The company confirmed during a press event that it is planning to launch the next Find X series in 2021 as its first 5G device powered by Snapdragon 888 5G.  Oppo Vice President and President of Global Sales Alen Wu stated, “We are sure that the next Find X series will deliver an extraordinary all-round experience to users around the globe.” However, the company did not open up anything more about its next flagship with a 10-bit full-path colour management system for the display. The next on the list is Realme, the Chinese smartphone company that has committed to bringing Realme Race to India by next year at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. The device is going to use Snapdragon 888 SoC that will enhance the gaming as well as video quality of the device with 5G connectivity. Earlier the device was rumoured to come with Snapdragon 875 but after Qualcomm’s announced the company was the first among others to announced its next flagship to use Snapdragon 888 5G. According to a report the chipset will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device will run  Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. The publisher has also shared an image of the phone revealing the design of the device with a “duad camera with an “Oreo” style bump”.  On the other hand, Nubia sub-brand Red Magic has also confirmed that its next that is Red Magic 6 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The company President Ni Fei took to Weibo to share the launch details of its premium device with gaming capabilities. Also, Nubia Z will also be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. ZTE which is the parent company of Nubia has also announced to launch ZTE Axon 30 powered by the same 5G chipset. The device is claimed to capture photos and videos at up to 2.7 gigapixels per second. Also, Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship will be based on 888 SoC. The Chinese company’s Co-Founder and CEO Lei Jun this during the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. The device is likely to be introduced in the first half of 2021. The OnePlus Design Director Hope Liu shared a video on the Chinese microsite promising to bring its next flagship, the OnePlus 9 series to be based on Snapdragon 888. In order to ensure that abuse, harassment and hateful conduct have no place on its service, Twitter has once again expanded its hateful conduct policy to prohibit language that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin. In March 2020, Twitter had expanded the rule to include language that dehumanizes on the basis of age, disability, or disease. The micro-blogging website announced that the tweets showcasing hateful conduct need to be removed from Twitter once they are reported. Moreover, proactive detection and automation helps Twitter identify violative content. Twitter temporarily locks or suspends the account if the latter doesn’t adhere to the Twitter Rules. According to an official blog post, “The Twitter Rules help set expectations for everyone on the service and are updated to keep up with evolving online behaviors, speech, and experiences we observe. In addition to applying our iterative and research-driven approach to the expansion of the Twitter Rules, we’ve reviewed and incorporated public feedback to ensure we consider a wide range of perspectives.” Additionally, Twitter sought to expand its understanding of cultural nuances and ensure that it is able to enforce the rules with each update to this policy. The following feedback has been received from various communities and cultures who use Twitter around the globe:
  1. Clearer language
Across languages, people believed the proposed change could be improved by providing more details, examples of violations, and explanations for when and how context is considered. Twitter incorporated this feedback when refining this rule, and also ensure that it provided additional detail and clarity across all its rules.
  1. Narrow down what’s considered
Respondents said that “identifiable groups” was too broad, and they should be allowed to engage with political groups, hate groups, and other non-marginalized groups with this type of language. Many people wanted to “call out hate groups in any way, any time, without fear.” In other instances, people wanted to be able to refer to fans, friends, and followers in endearing terms, such as “kittens” and “monsters.”
  1. Consistent enforcement
Many people raised concerns about Twitter’s ability to enforce its rules fairly and consistently, so it developed a longer, more in-depth training process with its teams to ensure they were better prepared when reviewing report. That said, even with these improvements, Twitter recognize it will still make mistakes. The microblogging site is committed to continuing to work to further strengthen both its enforcement process and its appeals process to correct the mistakes and prevent similar ones moving forward. Google is now rolling out the new community feed in the Explore Tab globally for everyone on Android and iOS. With the announcement of the new community feed to Google Maps, the app will now make it easier for the users to find updates and recommendations from trusted local sources. The feed will also show the latest reviews, photos and posts added to Google Maps by local experts and people you follow as well as food and drink merchants, and articles from publishers like The Infatuation.  Like we mentioned earlier the community feed toggle will keep you well aware of what is happening in your area. For instance, if your favourite Mexican restaurant has added a new dish to the menu? If you follow them on Maps, you’ll get their updates in your feed. Similarly, if you are looking for a new nearby hike or a popular day trip near your city? Browse the feed for top recommendations of things to do from Google Maps users in that area. By panning and zooming the map, you can find helpful information for almost any location in the world, thanks to contributions from in-the-know locals.  “The community feed brings together helpful local information and tailors it to your selected interests. For example, if you’ve marked interest in healthy food or Greek cuisine in your Google Maps food and drink preferences, you’ll see more recommendations, photos and business posts for that type of dining,” Google in its blog post said. In a similar way, the community feed will also help businesses to connect with customers using this platform. Till now businesses have been using their Business Profile on Google to let the world know about their current offerings and operations, like takeout and delivery options, new online services and the safety precautions they’re taking. But as per the company during the testing period of the community feed the posts from merchants were seen two times more than before the feed existed. Meanwhile, Google Maps’ latest beta now comes with a new menu entry called Ride Services. According to a report by Android Police, the feature is available in beta version 10.56.0 of the app and is in the early stages of development. With the unprecedented global crisis owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, news is rife that Samsung Electronics Co Ltd is likely to discontinue its premium Galaxy Note smartphone in 2021. A latest report has revealed that Samsung is planning to initiate this step after registering a steep decline in demand for high-end smartphones as people across the world are facing the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic. A Reuters report has notified that Samsung is not willing to manufacture a new version of the Galaxy Note for the next year. Mind you! Reuters hasn’t revealed about the source of this information as there is no official announcement of this plan. The report further quoted Tom Kang, a research analyst at Counterpoint, who stated Samsung’s Note series sales are expected to reduce by a fifth to 8 million this year. On the other hand, sales of the S series are likely to slump by 5 million to less than 30 million. Recently, Samsung has also unveiled the latest smartphone models: the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s, making innovative solutions even more accessible to users. Both smartphones are equipped with durable batteries, a versatile set of cameras and large displays for easier viewing. The Galaxy A12 will be available from January 2021 and the Galaxy A02s from February 2021. On the battery front, these smartphones carry a 5000mAh battery along with a 15 W fast charging function to provide a seamless video watching experience. Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A02s and A12 enables the users to browse comfortably with the 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display for much clear images. The Galaxy A12 houses a 48MP main camera along with a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera to take a spectacular view of the landscape. On the other hand, the A02s carries a 13MP main camera. Additionally, Snapdragon 888 will triple down on the future of computational photography and transform smartphones into professional quality cameras. With the faster gigapixel speed Qualcomm Spectra ISP, users can capture photos and videos at 2.7 gigapixels per second or roughly 120 photos at 12MP resolution—up to 35 percent faster than the previous generation. The event also showcased the power of Snapdragon 888 through a Radio-Controlled race car connected entirely by 5G mmWave. During this period, Qualcomm revealed that two race cars were connected to a private 5G network that was built with the help of Verizon and Ericsson and controlled over 5G using a Snapdragon 888 reference design with the Snapdragon X60 5G Modem-RF System.
