Xiaomi launched Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition with 32- and 43-inch display sizes in India

Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition is now official in India. This is the company’s first smart Tv under its ‘Horizon Edition’. Prior to its official launch, the Television has been teased across all its social media channels with an ability to access over 5,000 apps. The Televisions runs on Android TV OS that allows access to the Google Play Store and also offers quintessential display tech. The company has introduced this in two different sizes 32- and 43-inch variants that carry a bezel-less design along with a 95 percent screen-to-body ratio along with Mi Quick Wake feature.

Speaking on the launch Eshwar Nilakantan, Category head for TV at Mi India said, “At Mi India, we are constantly working towards providing the best hardware and software. Having sold over 4 million units till now*, we not only understand the requirements of Indian consumers but have also taken significant steps to address their need; by offering customizations and solutions best suited for our Mi Fans and consumers.”

Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition price and availability details

Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition has been launched in India in 32- and 43-inch variants. The former one is priced at Rs 13,499 while the latter one comes with a price tag of Rs 22,999.

According to the company, the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition 32-inch model will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores from September 11 at 12 noon onwards. While the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition 43-inch variant will go on sale on September 15 via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. The sale will begin at 6 PM onward. Later on, both the variants will be available via other retailers Mi Stores, Mi Studio as well as Xiaomi’s offline retail partners soon.

Both the Smart Televisions share similarities other than the size of the display and connectivity options. Samsung launches four new models of its Curd Maestro Refrigerators in India

As consumers look to upsize and buy refrigerators with higher storage capacity, Samsung has launched four new models of its extremely popular Curd Maestro Refrigerators in India that will now be available in 386-litre and 407-litre capacities. These four new variants of Samsung Curd Maestro Refrigerators will be available in 2-star and 3-star rating options. The 386-litre capacity will be priced at Rs 55,990 for 2-star and Rs 56,990 for 3-star models while the 407-litre capacity will be priced at Rs 61,990 for 2-star and Rs 63,990 for 3-star models.

“At Samsung, we believe in meaningful innovations that transform the lives of people. To address the changing needs of consumers, we are introducing four new models of Curd Maestro Refrigerators and are confident that we will further strengthen our No. 1 position in the refrigerator category in India,” said Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung India.

These new models of the Curd Maestro Refrigerators come with Samsung’s proprietary innovations such as Convertible 5-in-1 Technology, Twin Cooling Plus, Digital Inverter Technology and Stabilizer Free Operation making them energy efficient.

The new models of Double Door Frost Free Curd Maestro Refrigerators also come with a stainless steel curd container. The Curd Maestro range of refrigerators are part of Samsung’s ‘Make for India’ innovations, and addresses the pain points of daily curd making, and have been designed to revolutionize the conventional usage of a refrigerator, going beyond food preservation to food preparation.

As far as the usage is concerned, one needs to boil and cool the milk and mix the curd culture manually while the refrigerator does the fermentation job. It will not only ferment the curd but will store it too. Curd Maestro enables curd preparation in 6.5 to 7.5 hours – 6.5 hours for soft curd, 7.5 hours for thick curd.

Apart from 386 litre and 407-litre capacities, Samsung’s Curd Maestro Refrigerator is already available in existing 244 litre, 265 litres, 314 litre and 336-litre capacities.   • Now again go back and delete your existing voice recording by tapping on Review Voice History.
  • Set the date range to All History and tap Delete All Recordings for All History.
  • There is also an option to Enable deletion by voice simply with your Voice command.

IFA 2020: Realme unveiled 55-inch 4K Smart TV, Cam 360 and more

At the IFA 2020, Berlin Realme introduced a bunch of its new products at the tech fair. At the event the company showcased across various categories this includes 55-inch Smart TV, new audio products, and other IoT devices namely Realme Smart Cam 360 and Realme Smart Bulb. All these Realme products will be making their way to the market in the coming months or so.

During the IFA 2020 press event Realme unveiled its upcoming 55-inch Smart TV. At the moment the company is offering its Smart TVs in two different sizes with 32 and 43-inch panels. So, the latest Smart TV that the company has introduced will be the largest amongst the two. It has a 108% coverage of the wide NTSC color gamut. The display comes with a 4K (Ultra HD) resolution with HDR support. The Television runs on Android TV 9 Pie operating system. The company is yet to reveal more information on the latest 55-inch variant.

Realme new wireless headphones

Realme unveiled its Buds Air Pro under the TWS category of wireless earphones. The company has not disclosed the features of its upcoming wireless audio product other than just name. Other than this the second product in which the company has introduced Realme Buds Wireless P that comes with a neckband design. All these devices will be supported by active noise cancellation (ANC) technology and India will be the first to get these products.

Other than these the company has introduced its first products under the home security category which is Realme Smart Cam 360 and Smart Bulb. The camera features 1080p full-HD video recording with other features such as dynamic range and 3D noise cancellation algorithm. The camera comes with a mechanical gimbal that achieves a 360-degree panoramic vision for better edge detection and eradicating bling sports for better security along with built-in edge distortion detection.

The Realme Smart Cam 360 also includes infrared Night Vision Mode that enables automatically as the sunsets. With the 940nm infrared illuminator, the smart camera further includes AI motion detection, real-time alert along with two-way voice talk for remote calls. For privacy, the camera also has a cover to hide the lens. This camera is supported with up to 128GB of storage through a microSD card while the recorded videos can be stored locally or accessed through Realme Link. AES/TLS 1.2 encryption algorithm.

Last but not least is the Realme Smart Bulb. This is supported by 16 million colours and is flicker-free along with a wide range of colour temperatures from 1700k-6500k. Made out of flame-resistant material it comes with a life expectancy of 13 years supported by voice assistance for taking commands.

As a part of our ongoing efforts to provide people with a safer, more private messaging experience, Facebook has introduced a forwarding limit on Messenger, so messages can only be forwarded to five people or groups at a time. Limiting forwarding is an effective way to slow the spread of viral misinformation and harmful content that has the potential to cause real-world harm.

Facebook believes that controlling the spread of misinformation is critical as the global COVID-19 pandemic continues as well as due to the major elections in the US, New Zealand and other countries.

“We’ve taken steps to provide people with greater transparency and accurate information. Our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Community Hub gives people access to up-to-date information and resources designed to help them stay safe. And our Voting Information Center and voter registration notifications ensure people know how to register to vote and encourage them to make their voices heard. We are introducing a forwarding limit on Messenger to help curb the efforts of those looking to cause chaos, sow uncertainty or inadvertently undermine accurate information,” said Jay Sullivan, Director of Product Management, Messenger Privacy and Safety.

In order to make Messenger a safe and trustworthy platform to connect with friends and family, Facebook had recently introduced features like safety notifications, two-factor authentication, and easier ways to block and report unwanted messages. “This new feature provides yet another layer of protection by limiting the spread of viral misinformation or harmful content, and we believe it will help keep people safer online,” added Jay Sullivan.

Last month, the Mark Zuckerberg social media giant had announced that Facebook News will also be introduced in the UK, Germany, France, India and Brazil within the next six months to a year. In each country, Facebook will pay news publishers to ensure their content is available in the new product.

“Consumer habits and news inventory vary by country, so we’ll work closely with news partners in each country to tailor the experience and test ways to deliver a valuable experience for people while also honoring publishers’ business models,” said Campbell Brown, VP, Global News Partnerships.

However, Facebook asserted that it will continue to focus on the growing engagement of Facebook News in the US and is committed to the partnerships that it had developed with US publishers to make Facebook News a valuable asset over the long term.

WhatsApp Web likely to get advanced dark theme and doodle features

It seems that WhatsApp is prepping up to introduce some pivotal changes to the WhatsApp web. News is rife that the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is working on the advanced dark theme as well as doodle features for this desktop version of WhatsApp that is available for Android, Blackberry, and Windows phone users.

If reports are to be believed WhatsApp will soon be executing its plan to introduce a new feature under its theme settings to automatically change the theme from light to dark and dark to light on the basis of the system preferences, as revealed by a WABetaInfo.

In order to try using this new future, follow this simple path:

  • First open WhatsApp Web,
  • Now click on the hamburger menu located atop the version
  • Tap on Settings
  • Click Theme
  • Opt for System default.

Furthermore, it was revealed WhatsApp Web is likely to introduce an enhanced doodles feature that will allow users to add doodles in chat solid wallpaper. However, WABetaInfo further notified that these features are in the developmental phase and it will be available in the messaging platform in the future.

Recently, WhatsApp has also introduced a special forwarded label to messages shared in chats that have been forwarded many times. According to the WhatsApp blog post, “These two arrows help people know when they’ve received a message that was not written by close contact. Earlier this year, we set limits on how many times they can be sent at once to maintain the private nature of WhatsApp.”

The WhatsApp blog post had added that the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is piloting a simple way to double-check these messages by tapping a magnifying glass button in the chat. Providing a simple way to search messages that have been forwarded many times may help people find news results or other sources of information about the content they have received.

As per WhatsApp, this feature works by allowing users to upload the message via their browser without WhatsApp ever seeing the message itself. Unable to see Microsoft Store on the taskbar

Unable to find or install an app from Microsoft Store

Unable to launch Microsoft Store

If you’re having trouble launching Microsoft Store, try following the below-listed steps:

  1. Check for connection problems and ensure that you’re signed in with a Microsoft account.
  2. Ensure Windows has the latest update by following this path:
    1. Select Start
    2. Then, click on Settings
    3. Update & Security
    4. Windows Update
    5. Check for Updates
  1. Check your time and location settings by selecting Start, then select Settings>Time & Language. Select Date & time to verify your time settings and select Region to check your location. These settings need to show your current location and time zone.

Unable to fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

First, sign in to your Microsoft account. Next, work through these possible solutions in the order presented.

  • Ensure Windows has the latest update:
    • Select check for updates now and then select Check for updates.
    • Else select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates. If there is an available update, select install now.
  • Update Microsoft Store:

Select the Start button, and then from the apps list, select Microsoft Store. In Microsoft Store, select See more > Downloads and updates > Get updates. If an update for Microsoft Store is available, it will start installing automatically.

  • Troubleshoot games: If you’re having issues installing a game, see Troubleshoot game installations on Windows 10.
  • Repair or reset your apps: See Repair or Remove programs in Windows 10.
  • Reinstall your apps: In Microsoft Store, select See more > My Library. Select the app you want to reinstall, and then select Install.
  • Run the troubleshooter: Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security   > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the trouble-shooter.

Want to repair apps and programs

You can repair some apps and programs if they’re not running correctly. Access repair options from the Settings page:

  • Select the Start button, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Or just click the shortcut link at the bottom of this article.
  • Select the app you want to fix.
  • Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don’t have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if it’s available. If it isn’t available or doesn’t fix the problem, select Reset.

If you wish to access repair options from the Control Panel, type Control Panel in the search box on the taskbar and select it from the results. Now, choose Programs > Programs and Features. Right-click the program you want to fix and select Repair, or if that’s unavailable, select Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.

Want to uninstall or remove apps and programs

There are different ways to remove apps and programs, so if you can’t find the one you’re looking for, you can try another location. Microsoft revealed that some apps and programs are built into Windows and can’t be uninstalled.

  • Uninstall from the Start menu
    1. Select the Start button and look for the app or program in the list shown.
    2. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall.
  • Uninstall from the Settings page
    1. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Or just click the shortcut link at the bottom of this article.
    2. Select the app you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.
  • Uninstall from the Control Panel (for programs)
    1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Control Panel and select it from the results.
    2. Select Programs > Programs and Features.
    3. Press and hold (or right-click) on the program you want to remove and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.

This smartphone by OnePlus has unveiled in India for Rs 24,999. However, OnePlus notified that the 6GB + 64GB model of OnePlus Nord will be available exclusively at Amazon in September. Besides the 6GB + 64GB variant, OnePlus Nord smartphone will also come in two other models:

  1. The 8GB + 128GB storage variant at Rs 27,999
  2. The 12GB + 256GB storage variant at Rs 29,999

According to the official announcement, OnePlus Nord is available in two colour options to choose from: Blue Marble and Gray Onyx. However, news is rife that the 6GB + 64GB model will be available only in Gray Onyx colour.

OnePlus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G Mobile Platform with improved CPU speeds and 30 percent faster graphics rendering than its predecessor. Interestingly, OnePlus Nord smartphone comprises of four rear cameras and two front cameras. The Nord comes with the same 48MP primary sensor as the OnePlus 8, complete with optical image stabilization (OIS) to eliminate blur and shakiness from every photo. LG confirms its upcoming dual-screen smartphone to be called LG WING

LG has finally made it official that LG WING smartphone will be the first product to be launched under the Explorer Project on September 14 at 10:00 (EDT). According to LG, its new mobile category aimed at discovering new ways to interact with mobile devices. The main focus of the dual-screen LG WING is on the evolving and ever-changing needs of today’s consumers and challenging established user norms.

The LG WING smartphone’s launch event can be watched on LG Mobile’s official YouTube channel as well as on the official Facebook page. LG further added that its boldest, newest smartphone will deliver a new and different form factor and mobile experience that would be impossible to create with conventional smartphones.

The company has provided a glimpse of a dual-screen smartphone under Explorer Project with a 30-second invitation video hinting at the first handset under this new lineup. In the video, the second screen could be seen rotating behind the first.

“LG and platform partners feel it is vitally important to demonstrate to consumers new and differentiated user experiences in the smartphone space. Furthermore, the Explorer Project also marks a new direction in the alignment strategy of LG’s smartphones. Recently a report appeared on the internet suggesting that the Chinese smartphone company is developing its first entry-level smartphone. We came to know about the device’s development as it was the codename “Clover” as suggested it to be powered by a Snapdragon 460 chipset. Now it has been allegedly found on a very popular benchmarking website with the same chipset with the model number BE2012.

The OnePlus Clover has been listed on the benchmarking website Geekbench suggesting it to be running on Android 10. The device was discovered having a model number BE2012 along with a processor codenamed “Bengal”. While the folks at MySmartPrice managed to crack the codename, which is slated to be the Snapdragon 460 SoC. 

As per the listing, the processor has been clocked at a base frequency of 1.8GHz with eight CPU cores. In addition, the OnePlus handset is tipped to include a  4GB of RAM. The upcoming phone has scored 254 points in the single-core test and 1,174 points in the multi-core test.

To contradict, the device which is slated to be recognized as Clover is basically not another OnePlus smartphone because OnePlus clover has already appeared on the benchmarking website which is said to run Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM powered by the latest operating system Android 10.

Citing the information from the same report which in the past suggested that Clover will be powered by a Snapdragon 460 chipset revealed a little more about the smartphone that it is going to feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 720×1,560 pixels of resolution. The handset is said to include a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. Whereas it is likely to house a 6,000mAh battery supported by an 18W fast charging.

Moreover, it is expected to include a triple rear camera that might include a 13-megapixel main sensor with f/2.2 aperture along with 2-megapixel supporting lenses likely to be a depth and a macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

But we suggest you take the information with a pinch of salt because the official details are not yet available at the moment. If the benchmarks are to be believed then the company has already taken its competitors seriously with brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, Huawei and Samsung. After making its name in the premium segment the company is now prepping up to enter into the budget segment also.

Qualcomm unveiled Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform for Windows laptops

We knew that the American chipset manufacturer, Qualcomm was working on its most powerful Snapdragon processor for desktops running Windows 10. At the IFA 2020 tech event, the chipset manufacturer has unveiled its Arm-based Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform. To recall it was first introduced back in the year 2018 under Windows 10 for ARM powering Samsung Galaxy Book S and others. However, the chipset did not popularize as it was not used in many devices nor the company released its successor.

After almost two years the company is back with a more powerful and improved successor with an AI Engine designed for performance and efficiency for premium ultrathin laptops with an Always On, Always Connected PC experience. It has support for multi-day battery life, with 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity speeds along with advanced camera and audio, AI accelerated experiences, and enterprise-grade security to virtually connect, create and communicate during these times when Coronavirus has already taken over the world with its impact.

The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform comprises eight Qualcomm Kryo 495 CPU cores based on 64-bit architecture and 7nm manufacturing process. This is claimed to deliver over 15 percent better performance than Intel’s 10th-gen Core i5 CPUs. This will eventually increase the battery life to 50 percent more. The dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine supported by Hexagon 690 processor and Sensing Hub technology will be providing next-gen capabilities for intelligent camera, voice UI, security, and more to turn your PC into a hub of mobile productivity and entertainment.

Qualcomm says that the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G will be offering 5G connectivity through both Sub-6 GHz and 5G mmWave enabling blazing fast, multi-gigabit speed and stability for end users. Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G also supports Wi-Fi 6. According to the company, devices employing this Gen 2 compute platform will offer users the leading connectivity critical to work from virtually anywhere and help alleviate home networks congested by multiple connected devices.

The new computing platform will be offering a clear audio experience by utilizing Qualcomm Aqstic echo cancellation and noise suppression (ECNS) technology to intelligently focus on the sounds coming from the PC and the user’s environment. In addition to this, devices utilizing the Gen 2 compute platform will be capable of providing high-resolution camera modules as this will be making use of Qualcomm Spectra ISP which allows mobile camera technology, with up to 4K HDR and support for up to 32 MP camera, Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G offers cutting-edge video conferencing and live streaming capabilities. On the other hand devices powered by the new chipset will also support dual 4K displays through a single Type C cable to a dock.

The users will also experience stronger video conferencing interactions through tools such as accelerated eye contact and expressive avatars. The company says that the AI processing will also enable developers to innovate across the Windows ecosystem. The chipset also supports Microsoft Secured Core PC and Windows Hypervisor.

The first laptop to feature the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform has been already been announced by Acer namely Acer Spin 7 that will debut later this year.

IFA 2020: JBL launched a line-up of new Bluetooth speakers and headphones

Audio accessories manufacturer JBL has unveiled a series of new Bluetooth audio devices in the speakers and headphone category. The company has launched JBL Club Pro+, JBL 225TWS and the JBL Endurance Peak II truly wireless earbuds, and Quantum 50 wired headphones. In addition to this, Xtreme 3 rugged speaker, the PartyBox On-The-Go and PartyBox 310 speaker Go 3 and Clip 4 compact speaker have also made it to the ongoing IFA 2020 tech event at Berlin.

New JBL truly wireless earbuds and headphones

Starting with the JBL Club Pro+ wireless earphones, this wearable carries a price tag of $199.95 (approx Rs. 14,700). The audio device comes with an independent left/right connection supported by active noise cancellation. These earphones are also supported by wireless charging along with a USB Type-C port for wired charging. The new JBL earphones are IPX4 rated for water resistance and these come with touch controls supported by voice assistance by Google.

Whereas JBL Endurance Peak II earbuds have been priced at $99.95 (approx Rs. 7,300). This audio device is very similar to the above one in terms of features, but it comes with wraparound ear hooks for better fitting which does not let it fall during workouts. The earphones are IPX7 water resistance rated and deliver 30 hours of playback.

Both JBL Club Pro+ and JBL Endurance Peak II earbuds will be available starting October 25 via JBL.com.

The new JBL Quantum 50 are wired earphones that include 8.6mm drivers and a microphone. It has been priced at $29.95 (approx Rs. 2,200) and is now up for sale via the company’s official store.

In addition to this, the company has also launched a bunch of more hearables such as JBL 225TWS earbuds, JBL Live Free NC+ earbuds and Reflect Mini TWS earbuds.

JBL Bluetooth speakers

JBL Xtreme

At the IFA 2020, the company has also unveiled its new range of Bluetooth speakers. The JBL Xtreme comes with a barrel-shaped design that offers 12 hours of battery life. This has four drivers along with two JBL bass radiators and is supported by Bluetooth v5.1 for connectivity. It allows you to connect two devices at the same time.  The speaker can be charged with the use of a USB Type-C power adapter. The device will be available in three colour options Blue, Black and Squad and is scheduled to go on sale next month priced at $349.95 (approx Rs. 25,700).

JBL Go 3 mini speaker

The JBL Go 3 mini speaker is compact yet more portable than the above one, as it is small and easy to carry. This comes with up to five hours of playback on a single charge. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth v5.1 connectivity, USB Type-C port. The speaker is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance priced at $39.95 (approx Rs. 2,900).

JBL Clip 4 speaker

Alongside the mini speaker, the company has also launched a lock shaped JBL Clip 4 speaker which offers 10 hours of battery life. The device is also IP67 certified and can be charged with the help of a USB Type-C charger. Priced at $69.95 (approx Rs. 5,100) the portable speaker will be available by November this year.

JBL PartyBox On-The-Go

The music lovers company has launched two big speakers also namely JBL PartyBox On-The-Go and JBL PartyBox 310. The former one comes with a sound output of 100W which can last up to 6 hours on a single charge and is bundled with a wireless mic with a shoulder strap. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth and other inputs for guitar, mic USB and AUX. The company will be making it available this month only at $299.95 (roughly Rs. 22,000).

JBL PartyBox 310

Last but not least JBL PartyBox 310 is another big sized speaker that comes with glide wheels along with a pull-out handle for portability. The connectivity options are the same as above. This speaker delivers a sound output of 240W. It can last up to 18 hours and is IPX4 rated for dust and water resistance. The speaker will be available from this month at  $499.95 (roughly Rs. 36,700).

IFA 2020: TCL launched two new tablets along with a smartwatch and truly wireless earbuds

The Chinese Electronics manufacturer TCL has announced a slew of its products at IFA 2020 which is being hosted in Berlin. The company has introduced two new tablets, a smartwatch, and a pair of truly wireless earbuds. TCL 10 Tab Max and TCL 10 Tab Mid are the two latest tablets by the company that has been launched along with TCL Move Time Family Watch MT43A and TCL MoveAudio S200 truly wireless earbuds. Both the tablets feature a 10.36-inch display and an 8-inch display respectively.

TCL 10 Tab Max and TCL 10 Tab Mid     

Both TCL 10 Tab Max and TCL 10 Tab Mid runs on Android 10. The Tab Max comes with a 10.36-inch FHD+ display with 2000×1200 pixels of resolution. Powered by an unnamed octa-core processor the tab will be offered with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. This comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The tablet is backed up by an 8,000mAh battery. It has dual speakers and comes with intelligent eye protection. The company will be offering this in two variants across the globe 4G and Wi-Fi only models in the fourth quarter this year. The device is priced at EUR 299 (approx Rs 25,900) and EUR 249 (approx Rs 21,600), respectively.

TCL 10 Tab Mid     

The TCL 10 Tab Mid features a smaller 8-inch FHD IPS display. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 665 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For optics, there is an 8-megapixel rear camera and for selfies, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Tab houses a 5,500mAh battery and has been priced at EUR 229 (approx Rs 19,800).

TCL MoveTime Family Watch MT43A

TCL MoveTime Family Watch MT43A has also been launch simultaneously at the tech event. Designed for the senior citizens the smartwatch includes hands-free two-way calling, medication reminders, as well as heart rate monitor. It features a 1.41-inch AMOLED touch colour display. Also, there is an automatic fall detection on the watch which sends alerts to the assigned emergency contacts within 60 seconds along with the user’s exact location. For more convenience, it can also send voice or text messages.

TCL MoveTime Family Watch MT43A

The TCL smartwatch also includes an activity tracker and sleep monitor. The device is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2500 platform with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage. This also comes with an SOS button and to protect it from dust and water this wearable is IP67 rated. Moreover, it houses a 600mAh battery.

TCL MoveAudio S200 true wireless headphones

TCL MoveAudio S200 true wireless headphones come with ENC support along with four built-in microphones for better audio quality during calls. It can be connected to any of your Android or iOS devices with the help of Bluetooth v5.0. The earphones also have a smart wearing detection feature that automatically pauses the music the earbuds are taken off and resumes when these are put on. The TCL earbuds are IP54 rated for dust, water and sweat resistance. Supported by Google Assistant and Siri voice assistance the audio device also offers up to 23 hours of battery life with the charging case and can last up to 3.5 hours on a single charge.

Recently we came across a leaked image of the upcoming OnePlus 8T smartphone in the latest edition of Android 11 Developer Preview 4 for the OnePlus 8 series. Now in a new development, the specifications of the device have now also been leaked citing information from a report that the smartphone is in the pipeline and has been spotted with codename Kebab. It has come to know that the successor of the OnePlus 7T will be featuring a high refresh rate display along with upgrade cameras. To know more read the full article.

According to a report by Android Central the OnePlus 8T has been codenamed Kebab. Quoting by an insider source the device will be featuring a 6.55-inch AMOLED display similar to the vanilla variant from the 8 series. But this smartphone is said to include a higher refresh rate of 120Hz.

The report says, “The switch to a 120Hz panel brings the OnePlus 8T in line with the OnePlus 8 Pro in this particular regard. The phone will have two modes to choose from — 60Hz and 120Hz — with the latter selected out of the box.”

As we said earlier the cameras on the phone will be upgraded to quad camera set up from the triple camera set up on the existing model. The upcoming smartphone is speculated to include a 48-megapixel primary sensor, combined with a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a portrait lens with a resolution of 2 megapixels. Also, this is an upgrade over the existing OnePlus 8 smartphone which has triple cameras on the back of the phone. The standard model comes with a primary 48-megapixel camera lens, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The former two come as same to 8T but the macro lens here has been upgraded to 5-megapixel with a dedicated 2-megapixel portrait lens.

Out of the box, the OnePlus 8T is most likely to run OxygenOS 11 built on the latest Android 11 operating system. While the company has its name for offering the latest top of the line processor to its machine there is no doubt that 8T will be extended with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC for its best performance coupled with 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.

What’s more, suggesting the recently surfaced render, we also might see some changes in the design aspects of the upcoming T series smartphone by OnePlus. The OnePlus 8T image was found inside the Android 11 Developer Preview 4 and it displays the front panel of the smartphone. This image has been seen in the Settings APK and has been named oneplus_8t.webp under the res→drawable-xxhdpi folder. 

When it is coming?

Well, usually the company launches its new phones during the fall. Just like iPhone 12 if the pandemic has not caused any production or supply issue to the OnePlus 8T, the launch is likely to take place later this month or in the first week of October.

The company has introduced Honor Watch GS Pro and Honor Watch ES at IFA 2020. The price of the GS Pro model has been set at EUR 249.99 that translates to Rs 21,600. On the other hand, the ES model is much more affordable than the pro variant. It carries a price tag of EUR 99.99 that translates to Rs 8,700.

Both the Honor Smartwatches are set to go on sale in the European markets starting September 7. The Honor Watch GS Pro will be reaching the Indian stores next month.

Starting with this model the Watch GS Pro comes with a circular dial having a 1.39-inch AMOLED display offering 454×454 pixels of resolution. The watch equips Kirin A1 SoC. This chipset also powers the Huawei Watch GT 2 and FreeBuds 3. The device boards a 4GB of internal storage and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

The GS Pro is supported by GPS for location tracking with dual satellite positioning systems. Available with multi-skiing modes it also provides information related to at what time the sun will rise or set with the moon and tidal phases. In addition to this, it can also send bad weather alerts. 

In addition to this Honor Watch GS Pro includes 100 workout modes with 15 professional and 85 customised modes along with health monitoring features that include real-time heart rate monitoring, sleep tracker and SpO2 monitor to keep a track on the blood oxygen level. The smartwatch also allows you to take calls as there is a built-in speaker and microphone with the ability to send and receive messages

Leading gaming brand Micro-Star International (MSI) today has announced that it has unveiled a line up of “Business & Productivity” product line that includes three distinguished series of MSI laptops: Summit, Prestige, and Modern. While the latter two have been in the market for some while now, the company has launched Summit E Series and B Series laptops with the latest Intel 11th generation Tiger Lake CPU. In addition to all the machines now comes with the MSI’s new minimalistic and modern logo.

Moreover, all the laptops come with the noise cancellation feature. Its bilateral noise reduction for both microphones and speakers which helps reduce ambient noise during video conferences. The company is yet to announce the official pricing and availability details of the laptops but one can expect these to go on sale by next month.

MSI Summit E15

MSI Summit E15 laptop comes with a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with thin bezels. The screen offers 100% Adobe RGB and IPS-Level. These are powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor paired with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q design graphics card 4GB GDDR6 VRAM. This device will be provided with up to 64GB of RAM clocked at 3,200MHz with NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD and M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 SSD slots for more storage.

The laptop comes with a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, an IR HD type 720p webcam and a TPM 2.0 module. For connectivity, it gets you dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a mic-in/ headphone-out combo jack.

While Summit E14 has a 14-inch 4K UHD display with thin bezels offering 100% Adobe RGB and IPS-Level. The processor here is also the same with up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD slot. This laptop is very much similar to its sibling and the connectivity options here are also the same as above but here you get a USB 2.0 Type-A port instead of an HDMI port.

MSI Summit B15

Coming to the Summit B series the B15 as the name suggests features a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS display. The Summit B15 is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It gets DDR-3200, 2 Slots, Max 64GB RAM. For storage, it includes NVMe M.2 SSD by PCIe Gen4 and M.2 SSD Slot (NVMe PCIe Gen3). For security, there is a TPM 2.0 and a  fingerprint reader with Fido 2 support. It further includes an IR HD type (30fps@720p) webcam. Instead of two Thunderbolt 4 ports, you get only one here with the USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A port. 

MSI Summit B14 

This laptop shares all the similarities with B15 but in this you get a 14-inch full-HD IPS-level thin-bezel display. The processor is the same as above paired with 32GB of RAM clocked at 3,200MHz. In addition to this, there is an NVMe M.2 SSD by PCIe Gen4, and no USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port. 

MSI Prestige and Modern series

Both the laptop series has been updated with new pastel colour options which include Urban Silver, Pure White, Carbon Gray, Rose Pink, Blue Stone, and Beige Mousse.

The Prestige 14 Evo is one of the first laptops to be certified on the Intel Evo platform offering instant wake, quicker login, and faster Wi-Fi connection.

The Chinese electronics major Huawei has introduced two new 5G phones in the market. The company has launched Huawei Enjoy 20 and Enjoy 20 Plus smartphones in China. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset both the devices come with different designs. As Enjoy 20 comes with a dewdrop display and a square-shaped triple camera module the other one carries a no-notch display as it keeps a pop-up selfie camera. On the back of the Plus model, you can see a circular triple camera set up placed at the top centre of the rear.

This 5G smartphone runs on EMUI 10.1 on top of Android 10. There is a 6.6-inch HD+ display with 720×1,600 pixels of resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 (MT6853) chipset paired with 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

In terms of connectivity, there is 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It has a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charging support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

This smartphone looks different from its sibling but is similar in many ways. This also has a MediaTek Dimensity 720 (MT6853) SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage up to 256GB. Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus features a 6.63-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.

Though it is backed up by a smaller 4,200mAh battery capacity but is supported by 40W fast charging tech.

Huawei Enjoy 20 has been introduced in two variants 4GB/5GB RAM with 12GB of storage option priced at CNY 1,699 that translates to Rs 18,200 and CNY 1,899 that translates to Rs 20,400 respectively. Both the models will come in Bright Black, Forest, Morning Gold, and Sakura Snowy Sky colour options.

On the other hand, Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus has been priced at CNY 2,299 that translates to Rs 24,700 for the 6GB RAM option while the 8GB RAM model can be purchased at CNY 2,499 that translates to Rs 26,900. The device will be available in Jade, Phantom Night, Sakura Snow Clear Sky, and Star River Silver colour options.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G with S-Pen and 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris X graphics launched

As we all are struggling between home and work like all thanks to the pandemic, we need devices that add more support to let us stay productive at work. Keeping this in mind Samsung has introduced its top of the line 5G premium laptop in the market that has been designed to offer a flexible and seamlessly connected experience. The company has launched Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris X graphics delivering high-performing and long-lasting laptop experiences. In addition to this, it also features a 13-megapixel camera bundled with an S-Pen, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity to provide more connectivity capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G specifications

The operating system on which the all-new Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G runs is Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro. For display, it features a 13.3-inch FHD Touch Screen Panel offering 1920×1080 pixels of resolution. It has a 720p front-facing camera so that you show up bright and clear on video calls with friends and family and Microsoft Teams meetings with co-workers. The flexible notebook is powered by Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake Core i5 or Core i7 CPUs with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Samsung’s latest 2-in-1 PC will be offered with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB NVMe SSD for storage.

The Galaxy Book Flex 5G includes dual 5W speakers tuned by AKG with Smart Amp. The laptop has a backlit keyboard and comes with S Pen that can be used for taking voice notes as you can easily record audio while you take notes, and then select a note to replay the recorded audio and hear what was being said at the moment you were writing. For the first time ever, Samsung introduces a 13MP world-facing camera to its laptop line. Galaxy Book Flex 5G lets you quickly and easily take snapshots of notes, recipes and whatever else you need to record. The camera is placed just above the keyboard so that when you fold the notebook it doubles up as a rear camera.

For connectivity, there is 5G (Sub6), LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB Type-C port and a USB 3.0 Type-A port, HDMI, 3.5mm audio/ mic combo jack, UFS and microSD card slot, and a SIM slot. There is a 69.7Wh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the Samsung laptop.

As it comes with a touch-sensitive display paired with an S Pen, the Book Flex also includes the All-new Samsung Notes so that y2ou can jot down ideas on your Galaxy smartphone and laptop as the notebook as those can be sync with your other Galaxy devices, such as the Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+. In addition, the company is also offering a free offer period for Clip Studio Paint to allow you to bring your creativity to life on a powerful and versatile digital painting app.

The company is yet to reveal the pricing and the availability details of the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G. But the 2-in-1 pc will be offered in a  single Royal Silver colour option and multiple configurations
