Google Photos is now going cross-platform and is now getting a new update in which the users are now allowed to sync liked images with Apple Photos for a better user experience. The company has introduced a new editing tab namely Suggestions which will now offer machine learning-based filters in Google Photos to edit images in the app itself. Moreover, there will be a Dynamic filter to brighten up the and change colour contrast for sunset and sunrise pictures.According to a new report by Android Police, Google is rolling out a new feature to Google Photos app to let the user sync liked pictures with Apple Photos. The new feature can be accessed through the Settings menu of the Android app for iOS. Tap on your profile photo at the top right corner and open settings. With Hitman 3 now less than 47 days away to be available for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 5 (PS5) owners on 20 January next year, it has been revealed that this much popular gameplay will support the DualSense wireless controller. In an official blogpost, Travis Barbour, Communications Manager, IO Interactive, said, “Automatic weapons also simulate recoil with every bullet and we’re implementing unique haptic feedback for each weapon that is tied to the distinct sound profile of each weapon. Essentially, we’re emulating what it feels like to fire a specific weapon in the same way that we’re replicating how each weapon sounds.”
Providing an example of the adaptive trigger support, Barbour added that when a gamer gently squeeze the R2 button, the finger will reach a tension point that will resist the pressure, and one need to hold their finger against that tension point to activate the focus. In the current COVID-19 crisis, WhatsApp is turning into a store counter to discuss products and coordinate sales. With more and more shopping happening through chats, WhatsApp has introduced carts to make buying and selling even easier.
According to an official blog post, “Carts are great when messaging businesses that typically sell multiple items at once, like a local restaurant or clothing store. With carts, people can browse a catalog, select multiple products and send the order as one message to the business. This will make it simpler for businesses to keep track of order inquiries, manage requests from customers and close sales.”
WhatsApp further asserted that using carts is easy. All one needs to do is simply find the items you want and tap “add to cart.” The Mark Zuckerberg-owned app added that once a user’s cart is complete, they can then send it as a message to the business.
In order to add products to cart, follow the simple steps:
Go to your chat or business profile of the business you’d like to order from
Tap on the shopping button icon listed next to their name to access their catalog
Once the catalog opens, browse through the products you’d like to order
Tap on the product you like
Tap ADD TO CART on product if you’d like to order
Alternatively, you can also tap MESSAGE BUSINESS if you’d like to ask a specific question about the product
Besides this, one can also edit the cart. For this:
Tap VIEW CART to see all the products added to your cart.
Tap ADD MORE if you wish to navigate back to the catalog to continue adding more products.
You can also edit quantity for each product added to your cart.
WhatApp has also revealed that to placing an order, the user can send it to the seller as a WhatsApp message once they have successfully updated the cart. Once sent, the user will be able to see the details of their order by tapping on the VIEW CART button in the chat window with the seller. Moreover, WhatsApp also notified, “If you’d like to enquire about multiple items listed in a seller’s catalog, you can add all of them to your cart and send your enquiry in a single message. An order isn’t final until confirmed by the seller.”

Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 is being held in India virtually all thanks to COVID-19. During the online tech conference Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani during his keynote promised to bring 5G networks to the country by next year. He also stressed upon the need for the 5G connectivity which is expected to be rolled by the second half of 2021 by the Indian telecom company.Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani today announced at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 that their company will bring 5G connectivity support for better network coverage and connectivity. According to him, Reliance Jio will be using indigenous-developed network, hardware and technology components to bring 5G support to the new smartphones. During the conference, he also stressed to accelerate the early rollout of 5G, and to make it affordable and available everywhere. He also assures that Jio will pioneer the 5G Revolution in India in the second half of 2021. The company will work with other companies such as Qualcomm and Samsung to bring 5G in India. To recall during the Qualcomm 5G Summit that was held in October this year he declared that the company’s 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) is under works. In his speech, he said, “As many as 300 million mobile subscribers in India are still trapped in the 2G era. Urgent policy steps are needed to ensure that these underprivileged people have an affordable smartphone.” He also added that Jio Platforms, with its family of over 20 start-up partners, has built world-class capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Blockchain, etc. We are creating compelling home-grown solutions in Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Financial Services and New Commerce. Each of these solutions, once proven in India, will be offered to the rest of the world to address global challenges.”Apart from this, the company is also working with the Search giant Google to release its 4G Android smartphone which is speculated to come around Q1 of 2021 to be priced under Rs 4,000. The company is also in talks with the local assemblers to manufacture a new entry level Jio phone. In addition to this the Billionaire Mukesh Ambani also stressed upon producing digital hardware in the country. He said, “Many leading global companies are coming to India to set up manufacturing facilities. India has developed world-class strengths in chip design. Truecaller has now released the findings from their annual Truecaller Insights Report that listed the Top 20 Countries Affected by Spam Calls in 2020. This is the fourth edition of the report wherein there has been a significant shift in the ranking of countries that received the most spam calls. According to the report, India has dropped down to 9th position in terms of number of spam calls received by users globally, while Brazil continues to stay on top.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Truecaller report has shown that not only has the pandemic affected communication behaviour but also spam patterns around the world. However, spam calls received by users in India reduced by 34 percent. India still makes it into the top 10 most spammed countries despite a reduction in the amount of spam calls received.
The Trucaller report further highlighted that 98.5 percent of all spam calls in India originate from domestic numbers that could partly explain why spam calls have been decreasing in India, as strict curfews implemented in the country earlier this year made it impossible for telemarketers to go to work, or utilise the equipment they need to carry out large scale spam campaigns.
Furthermore, the Truecaller report mentioned the first three months of lockdown in India saw calls to emergency services increase by 148 percent. With regard to spam call categorisation, operators continue to be the top spammers in India with 52 percent user calls received for the upselling of various offers and reminders. However, the study also witnessed telemarketing services emerging as big spammers, recording a total of 34 percent.
Gujarat emerged as the state that received the most spam calls in 2020, followed closely by Maharashtra. In the report, Truecaller revealed that spam reached its lowest point in April when strict curfews and lockdowns were implemented worldwide. The overall volume of calls also dipped during this period. However, from this point, reports of scammers taking advantage of the uncertainty around the pandemic emerged. In May, spam calls started to pick up again and have been increasing on average by 9.7 percent per month.
An escalation of scam calls and robocalls around the world is expanding their share within the most common spam categories. Scammers taking advantage of the pandemic is a primary reason for the increase of scam calls. Another devastating fact related to India, is that 8 out of 10 women in India receive sexual harassment or inappropriate calls and SMS regularly.

As Google regularly keeps updating Pixel features in order to make the phone experience much better. The tech giant has revealed that Pixel owners will get to experience the December update along with a few new surprises.
According Harrison Lingren, Technical Program Manager, Pixel, “Many of the new features launched with the Pixel 5 are now rolling out to Pixel 3 and newer devices. That includes Hold for Me, which helps save you time when you’re put on hold by a business. Available for Pixel owners in the U.S. in English, Google Assistant waits on the line for you and lets you know when someone’s ready to talk. We’ve found that when Hold for Me is enabled, it saves eight minutes per call on average.”
Besides this, Extreme Battery Saver is another helpful feature that has been introduced to previous Pixel devices. Once this feature is turned on, it allows the Pixel device to automatically limit some apps and only run the essentials so that the battery lasts as long as possible.
Moreover, friends and families can share in the joy of watching the same video, cheer on live sports together and plan activities—even when they’re far apart. Apart from already existing Duo screen sharing in one-to-one calls, screen sharing is now becoming available in group calls so long as the users utilize Wi-FI or a 5G connection.
Furthermore, Google is also rolling out new suggestions comprising a feature known as Dynamic that boost brightness, contrast and color, and a set of sky suggestions to help one create stunning sunset and sunrise images in just one tap.
In a blog post, the tech giant also notified, “Google devices are most helpful when they seamlessly assist you throughout the day—wherever you are. We call this ambient computing, and it drives our approach to how Pixel should adapt to your needs in real time.”
In addition to the above-listed features, the GPS on Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) is now more accurate when the user is on foot. This means the rideshare service can find you more easily, and there’s no more guessing which side of the street one needs to be on when they’re walking somewhere. Mind you! This particular feature is not available at launch in all countries or locations, and requires an internet connection and Android 8.0 or later.
The Pixel can also now detect if a user is viewing a website or app in a different language and translate it using Google Lens. All that needs to be done is just take a screenshot or swipe into App Overview, and tap the Lens chip to see the translation.
Additional improvements to Adaptive Battery for Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) can automatically save even more power if a user is likely to miss their next charge, keeping the device powered even longer. Adaptive Charging helps preserve battery health over time by dynamically controlling how quickly a Pixel device charges. Just plug in your phone in the evening, set an alarm and the Adaptive Charging will work its magic. Also, the new Adaptive Connectivity feature helps you get the most out of your battery by automatically switching from 5G to 4G based on the app you’re using. It’ll choose 4G for things like browsing the web or sending texts, and switch to 5G when you’re watching movies or downloading large files.
Now, one can personalize their home screen with new icons, grid views and app shapes, or even choose custom wallpapers of famous artworks provided by cultural institutions from around the world on Google Arts & Culture (wallpapers coming soon directly into the wallpaper categories in settings).
Additionally, there is a special treat for Star Wars fans: Google, Disney and Lucasfilm worked together to launch “The Mandalorian” AR Experience, an augmented reality app available on Google Play for 5G Google Pixel devices and other select 5G Android phones. Now all Pixel 3 and newer devices can customize the home screen with original new Mandalorian wallpapers.

What can be more fun than watching your favourite shows online with your loved ones that too without sharing the popcorn? Amazon Prime Video has now introduced its Watch Party feature to its fans in India. Watch Parties are available on desktop browsers, except Apple’s Safari. Other devices such as Fire TV, smart TVs, game consoles, connected media players, mobile phones, and tablets are currently not supported.
Earlier Amazon Prime Video had launched this feature of Watch Party in the US. What’s interesting is that this feature enables 100 participants to watch video content together at the same time while sharing messages via a built-in chat feature.
Amazon Prime Video subscriber will now be able to select what to be played during Watch Party from thousands of titles available in the Prime Video’s SVOD catalogue comprising of Amazon Originals Mirzapur, Inside Edge, Panchayat, Hostel Daze, Gulabo Sitabo and many others.
