Sony has announced the Alpha 7C full-frame camera (model ILCE-7C), which is the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame body with uncompromising performance, featuring advanced AF (autofocus), high-resolution 4K video capabilities.
“The new Alpha 7C camera and FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 zoom lens pack many of our most advanced imaging technologies in a brand new design that is the smallest and lightest full-frame camera and lens system in the world. This opens up a new world of possibilities for creators, giving them the uncompromised power of a full-frame system in the palm of their hand,” said Neal Manowitz, deputy president of Imaging Products and Solutions Americas, Sony Electronics.
When Sony Alpha 7C full-frame paired with the world’s smallest and lightest FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 standard zoom lens, the company claims that this combination delivers an experience unlike any other, maximizing portability and versatility without sacrificing any of the power of full-frame imaging. The HVL-F28RM flash allows users to broaden their photo expressions with an intelligent light intensity control linked to camera face detection.
The new Alpha 7C camera features a 24.2MP (approx. effective) 35mm full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine along with 15-stop wide dynamic range and high-speed image data processing. It measures only 4.9 inches x 2.8 inches x 2.2 inches (124.0mm x 71.1mm x 59.7mm) and weighing just 18oz (509g), the Alpha 7C is similar in size and weight to an APS-C camera, with only 1 percent more weight than the Alpha 6600.
The Alpha 7C features a 5-stepix stabilization effect that allows for shooting snaps without a tripod. Moreover, the high-capacity NP-FZ100 battery provides enough power for long shooting durations and to capture up to an industry-leading 740 images when using the LCD monitor, or 680 images

Users can also customize AF Transition Speed in seven settings, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity in five settings, in their preferences. The Alpha 7C camera is designed with the user in mind. The touch panel LCD monitor is a large touch-sensitive 3.0 type with approximately 921 thousand dots, providing optimal visibility even in bright outdoor conditions and supporting touch focus, tracking and shutter operations. To simplify workflow needs, Wi-Fi compatible wireless-communication functions allow images and movies to be directly transferred to a smartphone or tablet for convenient sharing, viewing or saving. A USB Type-C connector that supports SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps (USB 3.2) is also provided, allowing fast transfer of images during PC remote shooting and power supply from external mobile batteries.

LG has unveiled its first Explorer Project device, LG WING, at an online launch event that was live-streamed around the world from its Seoul headquarters. LG WING boasts a unique form factor that presents consumers with new and compellingly different mobile experiences.
This much-anticipated smartphone “LG WING ushers in a new era of mobile discovery and is an exciting beginning to our Explorer Project initiative. Different than anything else on the market today, this innovative device challenges the industry status quo and provides consumers with a new mobile experience that will open up new ways to think about the smartphone,” said Morris Lee, president of LG’s Mobile Communications Company.
In LG WING, any users can switch seamlessly between Basic Mode and Swivel Mode any time to enjoy an expanded and truly differentiated user experience. In Swivel Mode, the entire front of the phone rotates clockwise 90 degrees, orienting the Main Screen in landscape mode to reveal a 3.9 inch Second Screen that unlocks new usability and new possibilities to explore – a single application can be expanded to both screens or two applications can be displayed simultaneously, one on each display. When viewing YouTube or Tubi on the preinstalled NAVER Whale browser, the video plays on the Main Screen while the Second Screen displays comments or the search bar. For the Indian Android users, the “Create” icon has been moved to the middle of the bottom navigation bar to make it easier for you to create videos.For those who do not have access to this feature will be able to upload their existing vertical videos that are less than 60 seconds using the hashtag #Shorts in the title or description.

With its “Make Life Flow” concept, ColorOS 11 is also providing the rich UI customization sought by OPPO users. Its rapid launch, which follows on the heels of Google’s Android 11 announcement, is the result of a close collaboration between the two companies to realize the launch in record time.
ColorOS 11 offers an unprecedented level of UI customization to help users unleash their imagination and personalize their experience. Users can essentially create their own Always-On Display, theme, and wallpaper, as well as fonts, icons, and ringtones.
This latest upgrade also enhances stock Android’s Dark Mode with three color schemes and levels of contrast. Meanwhile, OPPO Relax 2.0 lets users create their own white noise mix while also offering an extensive and immersive collection of sounds from cities around the world.

As phones often experience lags and stutters as a result, ColorOS 11 has introduced UI First 2.0, which combines OPPO’s proprietary lag-reducing engine with Quantum Animation. This boosts RAM utilization by 45 percent, improving the response rate by 32 percent and the frame rate by 17percent.
Additinally, ColorOS 11 adds Android 11’s newly-added privacy options while creating a series of additional privacy protection and data security features. Private System creates a separate system where the second version of apps and data runs independent of the original and is accessible only via a separate fingerprint scan or password. Also, there is a new shortcut to App Lock enables users to lock apps through a password, fingerprint, or facial verification. The permissions system has also been enhanced, with temporary permissions that reset the camera, microphone, and location access when the app is closed. Meanwhile, auto-reset permissions return app permission settings to default if they haven’t been used for a long time. To prevent malicious apps from accessing other apps’ data, scoped storage restricts apps’ access to phone data, requesting user permission in order to do so.
As far as to ensure peace of mind for heavy users, ColorOS 11’s Low Battery Message feature provides options to send messages when phone battery drops to 15 percent, displaying users’ current location to selected contacts. This allows users to share their status with families and friends when their phone is about to run out of battery. This special safety feature has been designed post inputs from users in India and is currently is available only in the Indian market.
Asserting that this would be the fastest and widest rollout in ColorOS history, Oppo claims that the current beta launch of ColorOS 11 invites tech-savvy users to explore the new features and offer feedback, with an official version to follow in the coming weeks. It was also added that the ColorOS 11 will be released in a batch-by-batch approach, starting with the Find X2 Series and Reno3 Series. The complete rollout will cover 28-plus phone models, including the Find, Reno, F, K, and A series.

ByteDance, the parent company that manages TikTok’s US operation, has reportedly selected Oracle to be the tech partner to oversee TikTok’s operations in the United States. However, it’s confirmed that Microsoft’s bid to acquire this deal has been rejected. This move by ByteDance to look for a tech partner has come after President Donald Trump threatened to impose a ban on this highly-popular app until and unless its American operations are sold.
Earlier, the Donald Trump administration has slated September 20 as the deadline for TikTok to announce a plan for the sale of its US operations or else stated that the app would be banned in the country by the end of this month.
Mind you! There is no clarity whether Oracle would acquire a majority ownership stake of this TikTok app as no official statement is issued as of now.
Experts, who have been keeping an eye on this bid to acquire the TikTok deal, are of the view that the US tech giant Microsoft has the perfect amount of capital to pump into this acquisition of the US operations of TikTok from ByteDance.
According to an official statement issued by Microsoft, “ByteDance let us know today they would not be selling TikTok’s US operations to Microsoft. We are confident our proposal would have been good for TikTok’s users, while protecting national security interests.”
However, Microsoft showcased its confidence that it would have made significant changes to ensure the service met the highest standards for security, privacy, online safety, and combatting disinformation, and we made these principles clear in our August statement. It further asserted that Microsoft would look forward to seeing how the service evolves in these important areas.
While participating in the race to acquire this bid, Microsoft had stated that would ensure that all private data of TikTok’s American users are transferred to and remains in the United States. To the extent that any such data is currently stored or backed-up outside the United States, Microsoft would ensure that this data is deleted from servers outside the country after it is transferred.
Microsoft appreciates the US Government’s and President Trump’s personal involvement as it continues to develop strong security protections for the country.
“These discussions are preliminary and there can be no assurance that a transaction which involves Microsoft will proceed. We do not intend to provide further updates until there is a definitive outcome to our discussions,” it had added.

As we mentioned earlier, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is the watered-down variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, that was launched last year so it looks very identical to its elder sibling. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features a 10.4-inch WUXGA TFT display with 1,200×2,000 pixels of resolution that is slightly smaller than Tab S6(Review). It has thick bezels, sleek looks and is lightweight. Users get a sleek all metal and glass body, and on the front, it has a selfie camera too. While on the back it has a single selfie camera at the top left corner. The company’s logo is embossed at the centre and the AKG branding is done at the bottom of the back. It has magnetic edges to hold the S Pen to the tablet. In this version, the stylus doesn’t support Bluetooth, which allowed it to control the Tab S6 from a distance.On the right side, there is a power button that can also be used to wake up Bixby, a volume rocker button and a SIM card slot to hold a Nano-SIM and a microSD card. While on the top edge you get a 3.5mm headphone jack and on the lower part it has a USB Type-C port for charging. Unlike Tab S6, which has quad speakers tuned by AKG here, you get only dual speakers. As it does not sound better than its sibling but we were ok with it as it is a toned-down variant. For the review we received the metallic Angora Blue, however, the company offers it in more colours like Oxford Gray and Chiffon Pink.Coming to the performance of the display, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite offers good viewing angles, but it could have been better as the brightness was low and while using it outdoors the screen becomes reflective. If you wish to read something you need to adjust the angles to lessen the reflection. So, we barely used it outdoors. This must be because it has a TFT display and lacks a super AMOLED HDR10 screen, which comes on the higher-end Tab S6.We used the Samsung tablet to stream videos, shopping and yes, it was fun playing Ludo King and Asphalt 9 on this on the weekends. While the pandemic is still on and most of you are working from home and the schools are also shut this one can be your companion. As you can also attach a keyboard to this tablet and start typing as it comes loaded with Microsoft apps.
Performance and Camera
The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 1TB. The company offers it in two variants Wi-Fi-only with NFC and Bluetooth while the other one is an LTE version with GPS.Being the Lite variant, this device lacks a lot of functionalities when it comes to performance. However, it can easily handle lots of tasks and doesn’t heat up while multitasking. It is great at doodling, taking notes and more.The USP of the mid-range slate is its S Pen stylus, included in the box. The Pen is both pressures and tilt-sensitive, which clasps on this tablet magnetically so that it doesn’t fall off. The stylus is comfortable to hold and is great at scribbling and writing notes. You get the onscreen commands when you hover the pen over the display. Most of the time we used it to write something as it supports handwriting-to-text translation, but this also depends on how messy your handwriting is, as sometimes it cannot recognise what is written. You do not require to use an external mouse or a keyboard to stay productive, as just the tablet with the S-pen is good. But if you wish to, a Bluetooth Keyboard or a Mouse can also be paired with it.With the Exynos 9611 processor, you can only play games such as Asphalt 9, PUBG at mid-low graphics settings, and when compared to its sibling the results were not that satisfying.We ran a couple of benchmarks on it to know the performance of the device compared to its elder sibling. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was able to get 1247 Multi-core points and 346 in Single-core score tests of the Geekbench’s results.The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs on One UI 2.0 on top of Android 10. Using the tab gives you a feel of any Samsung smartphone but with a larger screen. The UI is similar to what we have already seen on other devices by the company. With the Smart Stay feature on the tab, the display stays on if you keep on looking at the screen. The interface is clean with a very few but important apps, which come pre-installed on the device such as Netflix, YouTube Music and Microsoft apps.Multitasking has been made easy with the split-screen feature on the tab. So, if you are the one who gets annoyed by switching back and forth between two apps then you can use this feature. This can be done by opening the recent apps button. Then tap on the app icon which you want to open first and select open in the split-screen view from the options. After this tap on the second app that you want to open and the split-screen will open. The size of each window can be adjusted by holding and dragging the separating line between the two apps and you are good to go. This feature can be used in both portraits as well as landscape mode. We used this feature in the comfort of our home to create new content for our readers while not missing the ongoing virtual launches as the pandemic is still on and the results were very good.While there is no fingerprint scanner on the Tab S6 Lite you can go for the face recognition for the biometrics.Up next, we tested the camera performance of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It has two cameras on it, an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus capable of recording videos in 1080p at 30fps. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole design display. Surprisingly, it managed to get some nice shots for us with acceptable details. While the selfie camera is also good for taking selfies but we suggest you use it for video calling and not for photography purposes as it would not be easy to use such a large tablet for that purpose.During our test, the battery lasted for more than two days on a single full charge. The device comes with a 7,040mAh battery so you do not need to charge it frequently as it delivers satisfactory battery life. But if you love to binge movies and Netflix then it would run on for a day and a half. The battery of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite takes around three hours to fully charge it from zero to 100 percent.
Verdict
Some might call the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite a Samsung Android phone but with a bigger display, but is not that as it can do so much more. The company is offering the Tab at a slightly expensive price range for what it offers. But the S Pen Stylus is an additional accessory which the company is offering with the device at no extra cost that other companies do not offer. So the price is somewhat justified.As the new trend of online classes is on in full swing across the globe due to the coronavirus pandemic, we think Galaxy Tab S6 Lite would serve well to your children’s requirements from attending virtual classes to taking notes and playing. Bose has launched the QuietComfort Earbuds, delivering all the “quiet” of Bose around-ear noise canceling headphones in a gorgeous in-ear design. Bose also introduces new Sport Earbuds — entirely re-engineered to produce amazing sound from smaller, slimmer enclosures that stay securely in place — almost magically — without pain, pressure, or ear hooks. The QC Earbuds will be sold for $279 (approx. INR 20498.13) and the Sport Earbuds will be sold for $179 (approx. INR 13151.13) starting September 29. However, the pre-ordered for this audio gadget has already stared.

With this, WhatsApp appears to be checking out what will be the result if the opacity of the Wallpaper is reduced. Mind you! The report further notified that this feature is under development and will be introduced in future updates.
Besides Wallpaper dimming, WhatsApp users could soon get a new sticker pack too. As per the report, the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is going to unveil another set of Sticker Pack called Usagyuuun, which is already available to iOS users. It features is available on 2.20.200.6 and lower versions.

Providing a simple way to search messages that have been forwarded many times may help people find news results or other sources of information about the content they have received.

This must be because it has a TFT display and lacks a super AMOLED HDR10 screen, which comes on the higher-end Tab S6.
We used the Samsung tablet to stream videos, shopping and yes, it was fun playing Ludo King and Asphalt 9 on this on the weekends. While the pandemic is still on and most of you are working from home and the schools are also shut this one can be your companion. As you can also attach a keyboard to this tablet and start typing as it comes loaded with Microsoft apps.
The USP of the mid-range slate is its S Pen stylus, included in the box. The Pen is both pressures and tilt-sensitive, which clasps on this tablet magnetically so that it doesn’t fall off. The stylus is comfortable to hold and is great at scribbling and writing notes. You get the onscreen commands when you hover the pen over the display. Most of the time we used it to write something as it supports handwriting-to-text translation, but this also depends on how messy your handwriting is, as sometimes it cannot recognise what is written. You do not require to use an external mouse or a keyboard to stay productive, as just the tablet with the S-pen is good. But if you wish to, a Bluetooth Keyboard or a Mouse can also be paired with it.
With the Exynos 9611 processor, you can only play games such as Asphalt 9, PUBG at mid-low graphics settings, and when compared to its sibling the results were not that satisfying.
We ran a couple of benchmarks on it to know the performance of the device compared to its elder sibling. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was able to get 1247 Multi-core points and 346 in Single-core score tests of the Geekbench’s results.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite runs on One UI 2.0 on top of Android 10. Using the tab gives you a feel of any Samsung smartphone but with a larger screen. The UI is similar to what we have already seen on other devices by the company. With the Smart Stay feature on the tab, the display stays on if you keep on looking at the screen. The interface is clean with a very few but important apps, which come pre-installed on the device such as Netflix, YouTube Music and Microsoft apps.
Multitasking has been made easy with the split-screen feature on the tab. So, if you are the one who gets annoyed by switching back and forth between two apps then you can use this feature. This can be done by opening the recent apps button. Then tap on the app icon which you want to open first and select open in the split-screen view from the options. After this tap on the second app that you want to open and the split-screen will open. The size of each window can be adjusted by holding and dragging the separating line between the two apps and you are good to go. This feature can be used in both portraits as well as landscape mode. We used this feature in the comfort of our home to create new content for our readers while not missing the ongoing virtual launches as the pandemic is still on and the results were very good.
While there is no fingerprint scanner on the Tab S6 Lite you can go for the face recognition for the biometrics.
Up next, we tested the camera performance of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It has two cameras on it, an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus capable of recording videos in 1080p at 30fps. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole design display. Surprisingly, it managed to get some nice shots for us with acceptable details. While the selfie camera is also good for taking selfies but we suggest you use it for video calling and not for photography purposes as it would not be easy to use such a large tablet for that purpose.
During our test, the battery lasted for more than two days on a single full charge. The device comes with a 7,040mAh battery so you do not need to charge it frequently as it delivers satisfactory battery life. But if you love to binge movies and Netflix then it would run on for a day and a half. The battery of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite takes around three hours to fully charge it from zero to 100 percent.
