Google and NASA celebrate 20th anniversary of human life on International Space Station
Google has joined hands with the US space agency NASA to announce celebration of this week’s 20th anniversary of humans living and working on the International Space Station (ISS). This project includes NASA collections, stories, and some new games to help anybody learn more and engage in this important milestone in space exploration.
Permanent human occupancy of the station started on November 2, 2000, when Expedition 1 commander William Shepherd of NASA and Russian cosmonauts Yuri Gidzenko and Sergei Krikalev entered the orbiting laboratory after docking their Soyuz TM-31 spacecraft to the complex. The trio launched October 31, 2000, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

November 2 will mark 20 years that humans have lived and worked continuously on the space station to test technologies, conduct scientific research, and develop skills needed to explore farther from Earth. It was the time when the new chapter in human space exploration was written as the first crew of permanent astronauts, cosmonauts, and researchers arrived at their new home on the ISS.
According to Simon Delacroix, Program Manager, Google Arts & Culture: “Today, we’re able to look back on all that’s happened, from cutting-edge research to benefit humanity, to building essential foundations for international cooperation on our shared home: Earth.”

Partnering with Google Arts & Culture on this ISS 20th Project enables NASA to bring these stories to a new audience.”
Through this global endeavor of space research, almost 241 people from 19 countries have visited the unique microgravity laboratory that has hosted more than 3,000 research and educational investigations from people in 108 countries and areas, revealed NASA.

Recently, Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma announced a comeback in the Indian smartphone market with its new “in” series of smartphones in the country. Since this announcement, the rumours around the device have picked up the speed. The upcoming smartphone series by the Indian smartphone brand is set to launch on November 3 in the country. Other than the launch date the company also teased the presence of MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 SoCs on the upcoming models and now the Micromax In-series smartphone has been revealed by the latest teaser on social media just ahead of its official launch.
Micromax In-series smartphone design has been teased via a new short teaser that has been shared by the company on its official Twitter account. The new video shows a bluish gradient finish on the back of the phone with an X pattern on the rear. While the in branding is done just about the bottom of the phone.
Recently the company also confirmed that the Micromax In series will come with MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 SoCs. So, the company is aimed to take the budget phone available in the market such as Realme Narzo 20 and Redmi Note 9 that comes with the Helio G85 chipset while Realme C11, Redmi 9 and Poco C3 are powered by Helio G35.
As per a report, the new budget phones by Micromax are expected to come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display and will be powered by new MediaTek chipsets coupled with 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of onboard storage. The In series is suggested to feature a dual rear camera setup along with a 5,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the one with Helio G85 SoC is likely to sport a triple rear camera set up.
While another report says that Micromax with the launch of its new smartphones under Rs 7,00 and Rs 25,000 price bracket with a nearly stock Android experience.
To recall the new ‘In’ series of smartphones is scheduled to launch in India on November 3. The company will be hosting a virtual launch event that will be live-streamed from 12 noon onwards. According to the Co-founder and CEO of Micromax Rahul Sharma, these smartphones have been manufactured in India and will be free of bloatware and ads.

Microsoft prepping up to introduces major changes in Windows 10 UI
In what is being regarding a major design overhaul to the Windows 10 user interface (UI), a news report has revealed that Microsoft is planning to introduce changes to top-level user interfaces such as the Start menu, File Explorer as well as Action Center by bringing changes like latest designs, offer enhanced animation and other interesting features.

Samsung regained top spot in the Indian smartphone market: Counterpoint research report
The South Korean smartphone brand Samsung now led the Indian smartphone market according to the Counterpoint research report. In the Q3 of 2020, the market recorded 53 million units in the September quarter while Samsung recaptured the top spot and was closely followed by the Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi.
According to a report by Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service report Samsung has recovered in India while touching the highest market share in India since 2018 by adopting an aggressive online channel strategy to benefit from opportunities arising due to anti-China sentiments in the country. The company also took the top spot in the global smartphone market in August, accounting for 22% of the market share.
In April this year, Samsung lost its top posting to Huawei due to sharp declines in its major markets of India and Europe. The smartphone market declined 51% YoY in Q2 2020 as April was a washout.
The anti-China controversy also helped the company to recover from the nationwide lockdown. As per the report Huawei has achieved its highest global share of 21% in April, Huawei’s market share is expected to fall further in the future due to US trade sanctions.
The Indian smartphone market has shown a growth of 9 percent year-on-year to reach over 53 million units in the July-September 2020 quarter which is said to be the highest-ever shipment in a quarter for the Indian smartphone market. After two years Samsung became the top smartphone brand in India with 32% YoY growth.
Commenting on the market dynamics, Senior Research Analyst Prachir Singh said, “The Indian smartphone market is on a recovery path as the lockdown restrictions have been relaxed. The market has shown consistent growth for the last few months. It saw strong demand during the Independence Day period in August as major online platforms hosted massive sales. September has always been a high sell-in month as brands prepare for the upcoming festive season and push stock in the channels. Almost all the brands recorded growth compared to the last year. In terms of price bands, the mid-tier (INR 10,000 – INR 20,000) segment registered the highest growth and reached its highest ever share in a quarter. Due to the pandemic, Indian consumers have ended up saving on leisure activities. These savings are now being funneled into smartphone purchases. Additionally, smartphones have become an integral part of consumers’ lifestyles in this changing environment.”
This is possible due to the higher demand in the smartphone segment and stronger sales of feature phones. While the feature phone market registered a 5% YoY growth in Q3 2020 with Itel being the number one brand followed by Samsung and Lava. As per the report, the focus on online channels has been increasing due to the COVID-19 situation while brands such as Vivo, OPPO and Itel are increasing their online presence due to the changing consumer behaviour.
While Xiaomi has fallen to the second position with a 4% YoY decline. The reason behind the decline is first the manufacturing constraints due to the COVID-19 that eventually affected its supply chain. While Vivo reserved the third position at the same time showing 4 percent YoY growth in Q3 2020 driven by strong demand for its Y-series models in offline channels. Followed by Realme with 4 percent YoY with 15 percent market share Oppo with 10 percent and other brands with 12 percent.
While on the other hand, Apple leads the premium smartphone segment over the Rs 30,000 market surpassing OnePlus even before its flagship launch, driven by strong demand for its iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone 11. Whereas OnePlus persisted as the top brand in the affordable premium segment in the Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000 price segment driven by OnePlus 8 sales.

According to AMD, “The RDNA 2 gaming architecture paves way to 2X higher performance in select titles with the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card as against the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card built on AMD RDNA architecture.
Moreover, AMD RDNA 2 leverages high-speed design methodologies to provide up to a 30 percent frequency boost at the same power level. It also comprises of new AMD Infinity Cache technology that offers up to 2.4X greater bandwidth-per-watt compared to GDDR6-only AMD RDNA-based architectural designs.
Looking at the other specification, AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards enables high-bandwidth PCIe 4.0 technology and features 16GB of GDDR6 memory to power the most demanding 4K workloads today and in the future. It also supports AMD Smart Access Memory, which is an exclusive feature of systems with AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors, AMD B550 and X570 motherboards and Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards. It gives AMD Ryzen processors greater access to the high-speed GDDR6 graphics memory, accelerating CPU processing and providing up to a 13-percent performance increase on a AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card in Forza Horizon 4 at 4K when combined with the new Rage Mode one-click overclocking setting.
AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards also offer AMD FidelityFX that is an open-source toolkit for game developers available on AMD GPUOpen. In order to add high-quality post-process effects that make games look beautiful while offering the optimal balance of visual fidelity and performance, AMD FidelityFX showcase an array of lighting, shadow and reflection effects that make it easier for developers.
It also elevated gaming experience owing to Microsoft DirectStorage Support for the DirectStorage API enables lightning-fast load times and high-quality textures by eliminating storage API-related bottlenecks and limiting CPU involvement.
As far as pricing and availability is concerned, AMD Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics cards are expected to be available from global etailers/retailers and on AMD.com starting November 18, 2020, for $579 and $649, respectively. The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is expected to be available on December 8, 2020 for $999. On the other hand, AMD Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT graphics cards are also expected to be available from AMD board partners, including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE and XFX, beginning in November 2020.

Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition launched in India
The Chinese smartphone company Realme has introduced its new smartphone in the Indian market. The Company has launched Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition. To recall in August this year the company introduced the same smartphone but with a MediaTek processor. But the new variant is powered by a Qualcomm chipset while the specifications remain the same as the earlier one. The only difference between both variants is the processor. The latest Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition is powered by Snapdragon 460 SoC with a 6,000mAh battery, reverse charging support and a waterdrop-style notch display.

Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition runs on Realme UI based on Android 10. Qualcomm introduced Immersive Home Platforms for WiFi6 and WiFi 6E mesh-network devices
The American chipset maker Qualcomm has unveiled the Qualcomm Immersive Home Platforms that offer dual-band WiFi6 options and high-bandwidth WiFi 6E for mesh-network devices that are expected to debut in 2021. According to the company the platform has been designed to set up gigabit-speed wireless performance to every room in the home. These will be of a palm-size and will be cost-effective too.
“We have launched the Qualcomm Immersive Home platforms, a fresh approach to home networking leveraging high powered Wi-Fi 6 and 6E, a fresh architectural design customized for home deployments, and advanced features designed to deliver Gigabit performance to every corner of the home,” said Nick Kucharewski, vice president and general manager, Wireless Infrastructure & Networking, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “Today, as offices, classrooms, movie theatres, and everything in-between move into the home, high-performance Wi-Fi has transitioned from luxury to mission-critical utility.”
The company has introduced a total of four new chipsets and all of them will support 60MHz channels in the 5GHz band. This will include Qualcomm Immersive Home 210 Series and Qualcomm Immersive Home 310 Series. Each of the series will include two chipsets:

- Immersive Home 216 Platform: 6-stream Wi-Fi 6 in a 2×2(2.4GHz) + 4×4 (5GHz) configuration, support 160 MHz channels in 5GHz bands and 160 MHz channels in 5GHz bands
- Immersive Home 214 Platform: 4-stream Wi-Fi 6 in a 2×2 (2.4GHz) + 2×2 (5GHz) configuration and Support for 160 MHz channels in 5GHz bands

Today the South Korean electronics brand launched two new devices LG Wing and LG Velvet. The latter one comes with a LG Velvet price in India and other details Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and has a 6.8-inch Cinema FullVision display. In addition to this, the company is also offering the LG Velvet Dual Screen accessory. The mobile phone is MIL-STD-810G certified

The South Korean electronics brand LG today officially unveiled its dual-screen phone LG Wing in India today. The device is the first smartphone under the company’s Explorer Project which is intended to offer new usability ideas to the smartphone market. Prior to its launch in the country, the smartphone was introduced in the company’s home market. Just as the name of the mobile phone is unique so is its form factor and specifications. The phone comes with a swivel screen that rotates clockwise in 90 degrees that reveals the secondary screen to offer a multi-viewing as well as multitasking experience. We have been using these earbuds for about a month now and today we have brought the review of Vivo Neo true wireless earphones for you that will help you understand if these earphones are worth investing in? So, let’s see what new Vivo has brought with these earbuds, which make them different from other rival brands.

Now talking about the fit and comfort, which is subjective, but sharing our personal experience here. It fitted well into our ear canal but at the same time when we asked some others to wear these to know how well it fits and comfort level, we got the feedback that their experience was not as good as ours. Since these did not fit well in their ears. So comfort and fit depend on person to person. This is also because there are no silicon tips on the earphones which can be replaced in accordance with each ear cavity type.
Now coming to another important aspect of the Vivo TWS earphones that is connectivity. In terms of connectivity, we did not have any problem while using outdoors or indoors. But the range could have been better because when the phone was put on a charge in the room while we were in the balcony, the music would suddenly disappear. So in close range, it works perfectly well, but if you put a wall or two in between then no so much.
Let’s talk about the audio quality now. We loved hearing music on the earphones. The vocals, the instruments and the highs were clean and crisp. So, the audio profile you get is well balanced, however, we felt the bass was a bit weaker. Also, as per the size of the audio drivers, we did not find its sound too loud but the clarity it delivers is just fantastic, which you would definitely adore. If you are into heavy bass then it’s not for you.
Oh yes, when paired with the high-end Vivo smartphones you can also experience the DeepX stereo sound effect.
In terms of latency, the Vivo TWS earphones have low latency rate while you are gaming or watching videos. So gamers can pick them up. As for call quality, it is the best we have experienced till now. Noise cancellation is also good. You get to hear clean audio and at the same time, the caller on the other side will hear you well.
Coming to the last aspect that is the battery life which runs longer than you would imagine. It can last for over 22 hours. The charging case takes almost 1 hour 30 minutes to charge completely which is worth noting.

The overall experience is quite good but we do think the price could have been lower. The DeepX stereo sound is not for all users so just to experience this feature fully users would need to purchase a Vivo smartphone.
