A few days back, Huawei Technologies’ Twitter account tweeted New Year greetings for the company’s followers. However, the tweet went viral on the microblogging platform for the wrong reason. If you are wondering what can be wrong with a simple tweet that reads “Happy #2019”, we should tell you that it was tweeted from an iPhone.
And Twitter always mentions what platform has been used to send the tweet, so the New Year tweet from Huawei’s Twitter account had “via Twitter for iPhone” written right under it. As soon as the company realised that this happened, the tweet was deleted. However, by then, screenshots of it had already gone viral on the microblogging website.
We should tell you that Huawei took this matter very seriously. According to Reuters, an internal memo was circulated on January 3 in the company which quoted corporate senior vice-president and director of the board Chen Lifang saying, “the incident caused damage to the Huawei brand.”
According to Huawei’s memo, the mistake happened when a social media handler Sapient, who was outsourced by the company faced issues with VPN for accessing Twitter via desktop, so instead tweeted from an iPhone with a roaming SIM card to send the tweet on time at midnight.
The Chinese firewall doesn’t let any foreign services like Facebook, Google, and Twitter work in the country. SO, in order to gain access to these web platforms, people have to use a virtual private network (VPN) connection.
It is also worth noticing that Huawei overtook Apple as the second-largest smartphone vendor by volume from January to September. So, the company does consider Apple to be one among its rivals and says that its flagship Mate 20 series competes directly with Apple’s offerings.
As of now, neither Huawei nor Sapient have commented on the matter. However, in the memo, Huawei did say that the incident showed procedural incompliance and problems in management. The company also stated that it has demoted two employees who were responsible for the tweet by one ran and reduced their monthly salaries by 5,000 yuan.
The pay rank of Huawei’s digital marketing director has been frozen for 12 months, the company said in the memo.

According to the Huawei teaser, the Chinese smartphone company is soon going to launch EMUI 9 based Android Pie update. The teaser does not specify as to when the update is going to rollout for the two phones, but it is a long time coming. The EMUI 9.0 based Android Pie update was announced back in October, 2018. This update has introduced a new UI, gesture-based navigation and HiVision visual search that helps you do image search very similar to Google Lens. Also, the EMUI 9.0 recognises a wide range of food items and provides a calorie estimate with the help of a camera image.
Considering that the Huawei P20 Pro and the Nova 3 are powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, it is anticipated that other Huawei phones having the same chipset will get this update too. This encompasses the Huawei P20, Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Honor Play, Honor View 10 and the Honor 10. With the new Hi Touch feature, users can search online by long pressing two fingers on an image. Plus, it can recognise landmarks from 15 countries and over 10 million famous artworks.
Huawei says that this feature recognises 120 million products from 200 e-commerce websites and 100 online stores. The EMUI 9.0 update also features one-click projection, GPU Turbo 2.0 and PC Mode. According to previous reports, users need to have a strong WiFi connection and a battery life of atleast 80 percent in order to update their phone to the new version of OS.
To talk about its specifications, the Huawei P20 Pro has an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 6.1-inches. The screen resolution of the phone is 1,080×2,240 pixels. There are two RAM variants—6GB and 8GB which come with storage options of 128GB and 256GB respectively. The main camera consists of a 40MP and 20MP sensor and the secondary/selfie camera consists of a 24MP sensor.
Connectivity options of the phone include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, Infrared port and USB 3.1. The Huawei P20 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery, which is known to keep it alive for more than 24 hours. With the new update the battery life might improve slightly. Sensors on this device are fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and colour spectrum.

Addressing the problem of iPhone sales slowdown, Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook told his employees that he doesn’t hold “external factors” responsible for the low holiday quarter.
Bloomberg News has obtained a memo in which Cook said he was disappointed that the Cupertino based technology giant had to cut its revenue outlook for the first time in about twenty years.
He said that the situation arose from a “number of factors — some macroeconomic, and some specific to Apple and the smartphone industry.” However, he also added that Apple will be setting record revenues for its services, wearables and Macs. Read his full letter here to know what he had to say:
Team,Happy New Year — I hope everyone was able to rest and enjoy time with loved ones over the holidays. This afternoon we issued a letter to Apple investors explaining that we are revising our financial guidance for the holiday quarter. I encourage you to read it. As you will see, our revenue shortfall in Q1 is from iPhone, primarily in Greater China. While we are disappointed to be falling short of our quarterly revenue goal, our fiscal first quarter was also a record setter for revenue from Services, Wearables and the Mac. iPad revenue grew double-digits over the year-ago quarter, and iPhone activations in the US and Canada set new Christmas Day records. We expect to set all-time revenue records in key markets including the US, Canada and Mexico, Western European countries including Germany and Italy, and countries across the Asia-Pacific region like Korea and Vietnam. Our worldwide installed base of active devices also hit a new all-time high, reflecting the loyalty of our customers and their appreciation for the work you do.We are tremendously proud of the innovations we’re delivering to our customers with iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. These are, without a doubt, the best iPhones we’ve ever made. We did not set a new record for iPhone sales in Q1, however, due to a number of factors — some macroeconomic, and some specific to Apple and the smartphone industry.External forces may push us around a bit, but we are not going to use them as an excuse. Nor will we just wait around until they get better. This moment gives us an opportunity to learn and to take action, to focus on our strengths and on Apple’s mission — delivering the best products on earth for our customers and providing them with an unmatched level of service. We manage Apple for the long term, and in challenging times we have always come out stronger. With that in mind, please join me for an all-hands meeting on Thursday morning at 9:30 am PT. Be sure to check AppleWeb for more details. Due to construction at Apple Park, we’ll be gathering at Town Hall on the Infinite Loop campus. Join us there in person, or via live stream through AppleWeb. I’ll have more details about the quarter, and I’m looking forward to your thoughts and questions.Hope to see you there.Tim

Consumer Electronics Show is undoubtedly the biggest technology event of the year. Annually held in Las Vegas in January, the show sees all the major technology companies showcase their latest products and talk about what they are working on. The show is known to be full of futuristic technology. And this year is going to be no different. Right before it is about to begin on January 8, here we list down everything that you can expect to see at the biggest tech show of the year:
In This Article
Samsung
Samsung will be mostly showing off its technology other than smartphones at CES 2019. We are expecting to see the Samsung Galaxy Home that it unveiled at Galaxy Note 9’s launch and also its Notebook 9 laptop. The Windows laptop by Samsung has a colour scheme similar to that of Galaxy Note 9 smartphone and comes with a pop-out S Pen. The South Korean technology giant will also be seen showcasing televisions at CES 2019. Although there is no confirmation about the company has up its sleeve, it is expected to showcase devices with 8K and QLED. Usually, Samsung also has refrigerators and stoves at CES 2019, so we are expecting to see some of them too. While there are reports that claim that Samsung’s foldable phone will also make an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show, we’ll have to wait to see how true is that.
LG
While we aren’t sure about Samsung showcasing its foldable device at CES 2019, there are numerous reports that suggest that LG will give us the first look of its foldable phone at the tech show. But then again, we would have to wait a little more to see how credible these reports really are. However, even if we don’t get to see the foldable phone, we will get to see some televisions, display technologies and smart kitchen appliances from the consumer electronics maker. CES 2018 saw LG showcasing a prototype of its rollable TV so this year, we are keeping our fingers crossed to see its commercial version.
Google
CES 2018 saw Google make its debut at the technology event. And much like last year, the technology giant is expected to focus on Google Assistant and related products at CES 2019. It’s highly unlikely that Google will announce new hardware, but yes, we can expect to see some new services like Google Pay pop-up like they did last year.
Huawei
2018 was the year of controversies for Huawei. The biggest controversy that surrounded the company is the one that alleges its ties with the Chinese government, which led to multiple countries banning Huawei’s networking equipment. Considering all of this, we don’t expect to see any smartphones from the company at CES 2019. However, it may launch some laptops and tablets. If we aren’t wrong, Huawei is likely to maintain a low-profile the tech event this year.
Honor
While we don’t expect to see any smartphones from Huawei at CES 2019, we do expect to see the recently unveiled Honor View 20. The device from Huawei’s sub-brand was launched in China recently and its global launch is scheduled for later part of January in Paris. But we are hoping that it makes an appearance at CES 2019 too.
Sony
Sony is one company which is mostly seen launching its new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show. And this year should be no different. Reports have suggested that Sony Xperia XA3 Plus will be launched at the show. And it is highly unlikely that it will be unveiled alone as Sony always launches an entire smartphone range together. We can also expect the company to showcase some televisions and display technologies this year. And needless to say, we are really looking forward to some audio products from the technology firm.
Lenovo
The Chinese consumer electronics brand usually focuses on its laptop lineup at CES, and we don’t really expect this year to be any different. A listing from Lenovo recently surfaced online and it mentioned Legion Y530 and Y7000P devices that come with NVIDIA GTX 1160. So there is a possibility of these two being showcased at CES 2019. We may also get to see some smart home products, but as of now, there is no other word on what Lenovo plans on doing.
BlackBerry
While we don’t expect to see smartphones from BlackBerry at CES 2019, we do expect to see some of its automotive-based software, BlackBerry QNX. However, considering that the company never really gives up on making Android smartphones with physical keyboards, we wouldn’t be surprised if that pops-up at the event too.
Asus
When it comes to Taiwanese technology giant Asus, we expect to see some laptops and Chromebooks from the company at the event. Reports have suggested that the company will launch a Chromebook at CES 2019 that will be powered by Intel’s Gemini Lake series chip. A Chrome OS tablet is also expected to be showcased. What we are not expecting from Asus is a smartphone or a tablet, but we would like to be surprised.
HTC
Media reports suggest that HTC will only be focussing on HTC Vive this year at CES. So we can expect to see some gaming demonstrations and accessories at the tech show. Since HTC hasn’t had the best year in smartphones, chances of a mobile device being showcased are really slim.

PUBG mobile is one of the most widely played games across the world in the present generation. Every day Tencent games, the creator of PUBG, gets 87 million gamers playing it world over. PUBG is the acronym for Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, which has made a prominent identity in the E-sports industry. No sooner has Tencent Games launched the Vikendi Map update that we are tipped about the availability of a new futures. It is the PUBG Mobile 0.10.5 update that would bring Zombies mode, Tuk-tuk vehicle among other things to life in the game.
If you are new to the game, in this game, players choose their own map in which they want to battle and are airdropped solo or in a group of two/four. Next, they collect a range of equipment that includes guns, backpacks, med-kits, and grenades. The players have to stay in a safe zone, breaching of which would be precarious to their game life. Once a player crosses the safe zone, they are trapped within the blue zone where enemies can target them and wipe them off within seconds or vice versa.
Their allies also might end up getting killed. To revive them they need to use a medikit. The 0.10.0 update which introduced the Vikendi map created latency issues leading to a lot of gamers complaining about it. However, Tencent Games has promised that they are going to resolve this problem soon. To recall, the Vikendi Map’s theme was based on Christmas, the home screen of the game is based on holiday lights. It also has a snowy background with an SUV standing there that has Christmas lights on it, too.
The dimensions of the new map are 6x6km and will reportedly be available for consoles on January 21. Coming back to the PUBG Mobile 0.10.5 update, it would have the following features:

Vikendi Weather: Brings night mode—moonlight in addition to Day and Snow weather
New weapons: G36C SMG and PP-19 Bizon SMG gun
Footprints: To help players track down their enemies
Last month, the FCC published its certification documents for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M10 smartphone that gave us an insight into some specifications of the device. And today, the regulatory body has done the same for another upcoming Samsung device – Galaxy M20.
We should mention that according to a report in IANS, Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy M series smartphones this month. The same report also said that the global launch of the Galaxy M series devices will be held in India. This does make sense because according to prior reports, Samsung is unveiling the Galaxy M series to replace its Galaxy On series and Galaxy J series, both of which are extremely popular in India.
Coming back to Samsung Galaxy M20 smartphone, according to the listing on FCC, it will feature a 6.13-inch display that will come with a waterdrop-shaped notch on top, that is likely to house an 8MP selfie camera. Other than this, the smartphone will come with Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for connectivity and will pack a Li-Po battery EB-BG580ABN. Previous reports have claimed that Samsung Galaxy M20 will come with a 5,000mAh battery, but the FCC listing didn’t mention anything about the battery capacity. The listing does reveal that the dimensions of the smartphone will be 156.4×74.5×8.8mm.
It has also been reported that Samsung Galaxy M20 will come with 3GB of RAM clubbed with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage and will be available in Blue and Dark Grey colours. The listing on FCC also says that the smartphone will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7885 processor, however, we think that the company may opt to use the newer Exynos 7904 SoC instead. The device will run Android 8.1 Oreo and will sport a dual rear camera setup with 13MP and 5MP sensors.
Speaking of Samsung Galaxy M10, the FCC listing last month revealed that the device will have a 6.5-inch display and will run Android 8.1 Oreo too. It was reported that the smartphone will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7870 processor and pack 3GB of RAM clubbed with 16GB and 32GB internal storage. The battery capacity of the upcoming device was said to be 3,400mAh according to the FCC listing.

Rumours are rife on the basis of a leak by tipster Evan Blass. In a 20-minute video clip, it has been shown that a user toys with a device that seems like a Xiaomi foldable tablet. Post this, the user folds back the screen on the right side, which converts the device into a smaller tablet and the UI quickly adapts, accordingly.
Next thing is that the device is folded from the left-hand side, turning it into a smartphone with curved edges on both sides. The OS switch’s the phone UI once again, and the interface is optimised according to the small screen. It seems after observing the video that the Xiaomi foldable tablet will provide a smooth user experience with each fold. It might also get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with a lot of RAM and on-board storage. To be exact, it might get 10GB RAM to begin with and 256GB on board storage.
https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/1080870489990590464
It is also speculated that the Xiaomi foldable tablet will run Android 9.0 Pie skinned with the company’s MIUI 10 update. Since the video has been shot in the dark, nothing can be commented about the bezels as of yet because the exteriors are not visible. The reliability of this video cannot be ascertained as of now. However, since the trend of foldable tablets is on the loose with Xiaomi’s major competitors like OPPO and Huawei, the company is likely to launch this or a similar device in the near future.
If the Chinese tech giant launches this product, it will be interesting to see how it stands in comparison to that of its competitors. Recently there have also been leaks about Xiaomi’s about-to-launch Poco F2. The smartphone is reportedly said to have a higher screen-to-body ratio compared to the Poco F1. Also, it is said to run on Android 9.0 Pie and would be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 CPU.
In the Geekbench listing, the smartphone scored 2,321 and 7,564 for its single and multi-core processor test. In terms of camera, the Xiaomi Poco F2 is said to have a vertically-placed dual rear camera setup. Contrastingly, Xiaomi the Poco F1 has a dual rear camera setup at the centre of the upper half of the back panel.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi usually launches smartphones that run Android with its own custom skin MIUI on top. The only exceptions to this are the company’s Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones that Xiaomi ships with stock Android. The first generation of these devices was launched by Xiaomi in August 2017 and the other two models were unveiled later in July 2018. And now, reports about Xiaomi working on a new Android One smartphone have started surfacing online.
References about an unreleased Xiaomi smartphone with the codename ‘orchid_sprout’ within Android Pie-based MIUI 10 firmware was found by XDA Developers. For those unaware, this isn’t the first time that a smartphone with codename ending with ‘_sprout’ has surfaced online. Actually, most smartphones that fall under Google’s Android One programme come with the suffix in their codenames. Speaking about Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, and Mi A2 Lite, they had ‘_sprout’ as the suffix of their codenames too.
To be more precise, the codenames of Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, and Mi A2 Lite were ’tissot_sprout,’ ‘jasmine_sprout,’ and ‘daisy_sprout’ respectively. It is worth noticing that codenames of all the three smartphones were named after flowers. Considering this, the name ‘orchid_sprout’ can definitely be an Android One powered smartphone by Xiaomi. And if this is indeed true, then there is a good chance that it is Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone that has been spotted online.
As of now, nothing is known about the upcoming smartphone’s specifications. However, it is being speculated that if the mobile phone is Xiaomi’s Mi A3, then it is very likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 processor. It has also been reported that the device will come with support for NFC – which will be a first for the company’s Mi lineup.
It has also been said that the smartphone will not be announced till June this year. However, if the Chinese smartphone brand continues with its development plan, the upcoming handset may also be known as Xiaomi Mi 7X. And if this happens, then we can expect to see the smartphone getting launched by April.

The Xiaomi Poco F2 renders have come out online. And one main aspect of the phone that has come to light in all its glory is the waterdrop notch. Unlike its predecessor, Poco F1 which has a traditional notch, this one would differ. Tipster Benjamin Geskin posted a render of the Poco F2, which shows the same thing. Quite a number of Xiaomi phones are being publicised ahead of their launch and Poco F2 is no different. Take for example the Redmi 7 Pro. It was recently spotted in TENAA with a waterdrop-style display notch.
The Xiaomi Poco F2 will reportedly offer a higher screen-to-body ratio compared to the Poco F1. Also, in contrast to the Poco F1, it will have a vertically-placed dual rear camera setup. In this regard, the Poco F1 has a dual rear camera setup at the centre of the upper half of the back panel.
The concept render of the Poco F2 shows that it would have a fingerprint sensor at the back near where the Poco branding is situated. Recently, there also has been a listing of the same phone in Geekbench where it was tipped to have a 6GB RAM running on Android 9.0 Pie. It is also expected that the smartphone will come with the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC. In the Geekbench listing, the Poco F2 has scored 2,321 and 7,564 in single and multi-core tests. Seems like the Poco F1 will be replaced by Poco F2 very soon.
However, Poco General Manager C Manmohan wrote on Twitter that the company is still focusing on providing authentic experience with the Poco F1. To recall, the Xiaomi Poco F1 has IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 6.18-inches. The screen resolution is 1,080×2,246 and the aspect ratio for the same is 18.7:9. There are two RAM variants available of this device—6GB and 8GB. The 8GB variant comes with an internal storage of 256GB.
The 6GB RAM has two storage variants, that is 64GB and 128GB. A microSD card slot can expand the storage by up to 256GB. The main camera comprises of a 12MP and 5MP sensor whereas the selfie camera has a single sensor of 20MP. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS and USB 2.0.

South Korean consumer electronics giant LG launched its first smartwatch – LG Watch W7 – in October 2018. We wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t recall it, as the device did not manage to create much stir. However, that hasn’t deterred LG at all, as the company is already working on setting a new trend with its upcoming smartwatch. Don’t believe us? But what if we tell you that the electronics maker is adding a camera to its next smartwatch? Yes, that’s really happening.
LG, along with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), has published a patent for a ‘smartwatch and method for controlling same’. It is worth noticing that this patent was filed on January 15, 2016, and it was published by the company on December 20, 2018. The upcoming Android smartwatch will have a camera on its straps, according to the patent published by LG.
Other methods of adding the camera to the smartwatch have also been spoken about in the patent so that users can take pictures from their wearable. One such method is to let the watch band slide into the watch case in order to allow the camera of the smartwatch to slide on the watch case. Other than this, the camera may be made to move on the band of the smartwatch.
The camera may also be clipped on to the band of the smartwatch – so users will be able to clip and unclip it anywhere they want to on the smartwatch as the watch band would come with sensors all over its surface. This would also let customers use all the functions of the camera.
That’s not all. LG’s patent also says that the smartwatch will have a crown on the side and come with a touchscreen that would let users click images using the camera and perform certain other tasks.
The camera of the smartwatch is also said to help in keeping a track of the calorie intake, scan barcodes and QR codes and make payments on e-commerce websites.
Besides this, the upcoming smartwatch from LG will house a fingerprint scanner and come with a number of other sensors like proximity sensor, a gyroscope, a motion sensor, an RGB sensor, an infrared sensor, an optical sensor, an environment sensor, and a biometric sensor. YouTuber PewDiePie has taken a lead over T-Series when it comes to the race of being the top channel on Google’s video platform. However, this certainly has not stopped his followers from asking people to subscribe to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel. And now, the battle between T-Series and PewDiePie has taken a new turn altogether.
A report claims that two hackers have targeted Google’s Chromecast devices to promote PewDiePie’s Felix Kjellberg. These hackers have compromised Chromecast dongles to show users a message to subscribe to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel. Furthermore, these hackers have said that they have successfully targeted over 70,000 Chromecast devices.
The message prompting to users was, “CastHack, Hacking Chromecasts/Google Homes/SmartTVs, Progress: 123141/123141 [100.00000%], Running for 1 hour, 4 minutes, 23 seconds, SUBSCRIBE TO PEWDIEPIE.”
https://twitter.com/j3ws3r/status/1080739889535205376
The Twitter handles of both the hackers are @HackerGiraffe and @j3ws3r and they took to the platform to tell why they chose to hack the devices. The hackers said, “If you came here because you’re a victim of #CastHack, then know that your Chromecast/SmartTV/GoogleHome is exposed to the public internet, and is leaking sensitive information related to your device and home. We want to help you, and also our favorite YouTubers (mostly PewDiePie). We’re only trying to protect you and inform you of this before someone takes real advantage of it. Imagine the consequences of having access to the information above.”
It is worth noticing that this is not the first time that common people have become the targets of hackers to promote PewDiePie. To recall, last month some hackers defaced the Wall Street Journal website with a false apology and asked people to subscribe to PewDiePie.
Prior to that, a hacker said that he took over 50,000 printers across the globe to print strange messages which asked people to subscribe to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel. As of now, T-Series has around 78 million subscribers and PewDiePie has more than 79 million subscribers on YouTube.
The rivalry between PewDiePie and T-Series has been going on for months now and each is trying to garner more followers in order to defeat each other. While currently, PewDiePie is in the lead, let’s see who ultimately wins this battle.

Reports and rumours about new smartphones from Xiaomi have been surfacing online for quite some time and now, it seems like they actually have some credibility. The Chinese smartphone brand has confirmed that it is set to release Redmi 7 series on January 10. It has also been confirmed that the smartphone will come with a 48MP camera.
The company today shared a teaser about the upcoming Redmi 7 series on its official website as well as on Redmi’s account on Weibo. Xiaomi’s teaser says ‘new independent brand’, which can point towards the company following Huawei and Oppo’s footsteps and creating its own sub-brand. For those unaware, Huawei’s sub-brand is Honor and Realme is Oppo’s sub-brand. So may be, we will get to see Xiaomi’s own sub-brand which will have its own set of dedicated smartphones and share most of the R&D facilities and manufacturing plants as the company.
The shadow of ‘Redmi’ sign in the poster shared by Xiaomi says 4800. This is a very clear hint towards the smartphone sporting a 48MP camera. The event will be taking place in Beijing and will begin at 2:00 pm local time. Although the company will certainly launch at least one device from its Redmi 7 series, there is a possibility of other iterations like Redmi 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 7A to be launched too.
It is being said that if the Android smartphone will come with a 48MP camera, the company may also be considering to launch Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 – a new model of the dual camera Redmi Pro smartphone that was launched back in 2016. To recall, it was one among the first smartphones to come with a real-time bokeh mode coupled with a primary camera.
Since there is a possibility of Xiaomi launching its own sub-brand, we should point out that last year the company also unveiled its Pocofone series, which is known as ‘POCO’ in India.
Xiaomi launched its POCO F1 mobile in India in the first half of 2018 and the smartphone was appreciated for packing powerful specifications like Snapdragon 845 at an affordable price.

The Chinese gadget seller has teased a TV from their camp is about to launch in India soon. It is the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 which is of 65-inches. This large flat tube is the only one variant Xiaomi is offering, and this one is the latest to be available in India very soon. For now, the largest screen by Xiaomi in India measures 55-inches and is priced at Rs 49,999.
The about-to-launch TV would be suitable for large rooms. The price at which Xiaomi is selling its smart TVs in India give it an edge against tech giants such as Samsung, Sony and LG. Currently, the 65-inch variant of the Mi TV 4 is available in China at a cost of CNY 5,999. This is roughly estimated to be Rs 63,000, which is somewhat higher than the 55-inch variant. The teaser has been publicised by Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain today.
The Mi TV 4 could be priced at Rs 60,000 or less after its launch in India. It is not known when the launch will happen, but it is anticipated to occur soon. Xiaomi recently slashed the prices of all its TVs up to 32 inches due to reduction in GST from 28 percent to 18 percent. These TVs include the Mi TV 4A 32 and Mi TV 4C Pro 32. The former experienced a price cut of Rs 1,500 while the latter got a cut of Rs 2,000.
Therefore, the Mi TV 4A 32 which was earlier priced at Rs 13,999 is now costing Rs 12,499. The Mi TV 4C Pro 32 on the other hand costed Rs 15,999 is now available at Rs 13,999. The Mi TV 4A Pro 49 also experienced a price slash which was of Rs 1,000. Where it was earlier available at Rs 31,999 it would now cost Rs 30,999. The reason behind its price cut, unlike the other two was based on US dollar moderation.

Just days after Sony’s Xperia XA3 Plus was in news and now, the Japanese consumer electronics firm has made headlines again because of its Xperia XZ4 smartphone. Actually, to be more specific, it’s because of Sony Xperia XZ4’s screen protector that has been leaked and, needless to say, given us some hints about the upcoming smartphone. From what it looks like, the successor of the company’s Xperia XZ3 smartphone will sport an ultra-large display panel. We should mention that this is in-line with previous leaks about the smartphone that surfaced online.
Images of Sony Xperia XZ4’s screen protector have reportedly surfaced online and its evident from them how big the screen of the smartphone will be. The upcoming smartphone from Sony will be taller than Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. It is also visible that the device will come without a notch on its display. The images of the screen protector were leaked on Weibo and from it, it seems like the company will not be going for an almost edge-to-edge, full-screen experience. But what can clearly be seen is the fact that Sony plans to keep the bezels of the Xperia XZ4 thin.
Also, since there is no notch present on the display of Sony Xperia XZ4, we should expect it to house the earpiece, the camera sensor as well as the LED notification light on the top of its screen, much like Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
The same source has also leaked some images showcasing the rear panel of the Sony Xperia XZ4 smartphone. According to the images, the smartphone will come with a triple rear camera setup coupled with an LED flash on its back panel. The images also show the fingerprint scanner, volume rocker and power buttons placed on the right edge. There is also a fourth key present which could be a dedicated button to access the camera of the device. The bottom edge has a speaker grill, a USB Type-C port and a microphone. However, none of the images shows a 3.5mm headphone jack, so may Sony decided to skip that.
Reports suggest that Sony Xperia XZ4 smartphone will feature a 6.55-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor. There is a possibility that the smartphone would be launched officially at CES 2019, that is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas this month. However, as of now, this is just a speculation as there is no official word about the same.

Before we begin, there are two kinds of account deletions in Facebook, you can either temporarily or permanently delete your account. When your account is temporarily deleted then, people won’t be able to find your name in the suggestions which appears in the Facebook search bar. Also, they won’t be gaining access to any of your data belonging to your account.
However, they would be able to find you on messenger and if they search by your name there, it will appear in the suggestions along with your profile picture. Whereas, in permanent account deletion, you won’t be visible in messenger either. For deleting your account temporarily or permanently, there are two separate methods.
First let us talk about the temporary account deletion method:
Go to the dropdown menu at the top right-hand corner of Facebook, after logging in with your username and password.
Out of the options which appear, select Settings
In the left-hand corner there will be a button and written on it would be ‘General’
Click on ‘Manage your account’
Now click on ‘Deactivate your account’
Your account would be temporarily deactivated and the aforementioned thing would be applicable. You would be able to reactivate your account just by logging in with your username and password. Other apps through which you have made an account with your Facebook’s username and password would still be active.
Now we come to the process of permanent Facebook account deletion. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Click on the dropdown menu on the right-hand side of your Facebook page
Go to settings
Click on ‘Your Facebook Information’
Click on ‘Delete Your Account and Information’
Now click on ‘Delete My Account’ and then press ‘Continue’
Now click on ‘Delete Account’ and your work is done
Once your account is permanently deleted you won’t be able to gain access to the apps where you have made your account using your Facebook details. In case you want to reactivate it, then login with your Facebook details within 30 days of completing the above process. Then click on Cancel Deletion. Note, that this would only work within 30 days of permanently deleting your account, after which all your data would be lost. Facebook takes approximately 90 days to delete all your information.

In This Article
Google Drive (For Gmail users)
If you are sending a heavy attachment via Gmail, then you can use Google Drive to make the task simpler for yourself. When you open a new message in Gmail, click on the triangular Drive icon at the bottom of the page and then select the files you wish to send. If the files you wish to send are saved in your Google Drive, you shall be able to see it below ‘My Drive’ or else you can also upload the file you want to send. Do note that if you try and attach a file larger than 25MB in Gmail, Google Drive automatically kicks in.
OneDrive (For Outlook users)
While Gmail allows only 25MB of files before it enables Gmail, Outlook allows files as large as 33MB. After that, it prompts you to use your OneDrive account. On following this prompt, your files will get uploaded to OneDrive email attachments folder and the recipient will receive a link of the file once you send it to him. You can share files up to 2GB in size with OneDrive.
iCloud Mail Drop (For Apple Mail users)
If you use Apple Mail and wish to send large files to someone, you can use the iCloud Mail Drop feature. Much like Gmail, where Google Drive automatically kicks in after the size of the file being sent exceeds 25MB, Mail Drop feature gets enabled if the size of the files being sent via Apple Mail goes beyond 20MB. So, the file gets uploaded to iCloud and a link of the same is shared with your contact. It is worth noticing that this link expires after 30 days. You can send files up to 5GB via Mail Drop.
Firefox Send (Can be used with any browser)
If you are someone who doesn’t want to rely on Google, Microsoft or Apple, then Firefox Send is the option for you. The service enables users to upload, encrypt and send files up to 1GB in size. The best part of this service is that you don’t even have to install an add-on. Just go to Firefox Send homepage and press on the ‘Upload’ button to select files you need to send. Once the files are uploaded, a link is created that you can share via email. However, the link expires after 24 hours so it must be accessed before that.

You can send up to 10GB of files to anyone using the free service. The premium one allows you to send up to 50GB of files. Your files will be sent in real time and the best part is that you are not even required to log in. This is definitely our pick to send and receive large files.
Dropbox
If you use Dropbox, then Dropbox’s Chrome extension enables you to send and preview files and links from your Gmail window itself. It’s as simple as clicking on Dropbox icon and selecting the file from your Dropbox account. The link of this file is then sent to the recipient in an email message. A link to the files you selected will be sent to the recipient automatically and it stays valid for seven days after that. It is worth noticing that in one transfer, you can only send files up to 2GB in size. WeTransfer is a very straightforward service and we love how it doesn’t require us to download any Chrome extensions or register for it.
pCloud Transfer
This is one of among the services that let you send large files without any registration. You just need to visit the page, add your files by selecting the ‘Click here to add files’ option and then you can send files up to 5GB at once. However, note that an individual file must not exceed 200MB in size. Collectively, they can be up to 5GB. Furthermore, you can send files up to 10 recipients at once. But they will receive the email link in a few hours, so only use the service if you don’t need to immediately send a file. The link remains valid for a week after being sent.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra which was the company’s one of the flagship phones was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Since then it has only been upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. However, now finally, it has received the Android 8.1 Oreo. Though, this Android version is not the latest one, considering that many phones have received Android Pie, this is still good news.
As we all know the Android 8.1 Oreo enhances the RAM power for devices which have 1GB or less RAM. This leads to smooth working of apps as data overload gets curbed. Also, Google Play gives greater preference to devices with higher Android versions. Thus, ZenFone 3 Ultra owners will be more prone to the availability of latest apps. Plus, the new hardware feature which comes with this version lets you target the distribution of your apps to normal or low-RAM devices through Google Play.
Considering that Asus has updated many of its smartphones to Android Pie, the ZenFone 3 Ultra is tad bit behind in the Android update race. But better late than never. To recall, the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra was among the first devices to feature a 6.8-inch full HD IPS display with a 4K TV Grade image processor. The screen resolution is 1,080×1,920 pixels and it comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The dimensions of the phone are 186.4×93.9×6.8mm and it weighs 233grams.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM are its two RAM variants and internal storage options include 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. There is a microSD card slot, which can expand the storage by up to 256GB. Camera consists of a primary rear sensor of 23MP and a secondary sensor up front 8MP that is meant for selfies. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio and USB 2.0.
Fingerprint, accelerometer and gyro are few of its sensors. The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is powered by a 4,600mAh non-removable battery. Colour options of the phone include glacier silver, titanium gray and metallic pink.
