The Japanese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer, Suzuki has unveiled the Misano EV roadster concept. The design of the concept was approved by Suzuki from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Italy. The name of the concept car has been inspired by the Misano World Circuit motorcycle racetrack. The design of the Misano EV roadster concept was carried out by a team of 24 students pursuing their Masters. These students came from different countries like India, Israel, Italy, France, Belgium, Lebanon, Albania, Turkey, and Spain.

What led Suzuki to design the Misano EV roadster concept? 

Suzuki is renowned for manufacturing compact cars and motorcycles. Their hatchbacks released in collaboration with the Indian car company, Maruti have a unique position in the market. How does the Suzuki Misano EV roadster concept look like?

The Misano EV roadster concept has a form factor with a length of 4,000 mm, a width of 1,750 mm and a height of 1,000 mm. The concept car design features two seats arranged in a unique tandem seating layout. Generally, roadsters have a side-to-side seating layout but the Misano EV roadster concept offers a cockpit experience. The roadster concept gives the feel of a motorcycle with a car chassis. Besides, the small windscreen resembles that of a Suzuki bike. The Misano EV roadster concept lacks a steering wheel. Instead, it has a handlebar as you find in a Suzuki motorcycle. The left side consists of a rollover hoop whereas the right side accommodates the battery pack. The specifications of the battery are yet to be revealed. The car concept exhibits a smooth surface with arrow-shaped LED lights. Interestingly, the door exists only on the left side. A glass panel is integrated with the door to give it an elegant appearance. At the same time, the grey paint and the OZ Racing wheels give it a sporty look.

PUBG’s free-to-play PC version, PUBG Lite has shut down on April 29, 2021. This is the second time a PUBG game has been terminated in India. According to PUBG Lite developers, “Dear Players, We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG LITE fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG LITE was able to provide our fans a fun way to stay safe. Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end”.

Why was PUBG Lite terminated in India?

The shutting down of the PUBG Lite is different from that of the PUBG Mobile in India. The government of India had imposed a ban on 59 Chinese mobile application including the PUBG Mobile. The immediate ban of these apps was a responsive stance of India in the backdrop of Chinese aggression along the Indo-China border. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, the apps were banned for involving in activities “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of the state and public order,” under Section 69A of the Information and Technology (IT) Act. After the ban, the PUBG Lite and the console versions had kept functioning because they were primarily created by Krafton, a South Korean developer. However, the console and PC version could not attract Indian gamers as much as the mobile version did. Although PUBG fans opted for the Lite version they could not get the same thrill offered by the mobile version. Due to a diminishing fan base, the company had no choice but to terminate the Lite version as well.

PUBG Lite developers have revealed that PUBG Lite will be shut down gradually. The termination commenced with the shutting down of the lite.pubg.com website. Now the portal has gone out of service. On opening, it displays the Service Termination Notice. The servers of the PUBG Lite game ceased to function at 10:30 AM IST on April 29, 2021.

The players can no longer find matches to play or avail of in-game features like buying currencies. The game developers state that the Facebook page will remain active until May 29, 2021, after which the player support will come to an end. According to PUBG Lite developers, “You will be able to continue to play the game and spend in-game credits as normal, including the L-COIN that you already have, until the termination time. PUBG LITE Facebook will be open even after the game service termination until further notice. Xiaomi leaves behind Samsung to gain the top spot in the Indian market owing to strong sales on all online platforms. According to the latest research report by Canalys, India’s smartphone shipments grew 11 percent to 37.1 million units in Q1 2021 however COVID-19 resurgence will hit Q2.  The Canalys Smartphone Market Pulse report says that the favourable macroeconomic factors helped smartphone vendors capitalize on the growing importance of smartphones for remote education for Generation Z, for work and leisure for Millennials. In the Q1 of 2021, the Indian market recorded 37.1 million units while Xiaomi retained its top spot as the market leader with 10.5 million shipments accounting for 28% of the market share. On the other hand, Samsung has fallen to the second position with shipping 7.0 million units. its market share fell to 19% from 21% in the previous quarter. Vivo reserved the third position with 6.7 million shipments followed by Oppo with 4.7 million units and Realme completed the top five with 4.3 million. Xiaomi leads the Indian smartphone market, with YoY market growth of 11 percent in Q1 2021 shipments The Canalys report points out that in Q1 a surge in the device offerings appeared to be due to subsiding COVID-19 cases. Canalys Analyst Sanyam Chaurasia emphasizes that “It was a quarter to celebrate in India, as every one of the top five vendors grew”. He further added that “Xiaomi, for example, continued to drive its multi-brand strategy in established online channels, and is now implementing new initiatives to grow its offline presence. For example, its ‘Mi Store on Wheels’ turns road vehicles into mobile stores to reach smaller towns and rural locations. In the premium segment, Apple had a stellar performance in what is traditionally a soft quarter. Following a strong festival quarter, it shipped over a million iPhones in Q1, with demand for the iPhone 12 supported by the local assembly and attractive finance offers, as well as sustained demand for the older iPhone 11. But the market-wide celebration will be short-lived, as a resurgence of COVID-19 in India in Q2 will derail momentum.” The smartphone shipments in India are also likely to jump in Q2 2021 due to the second wave of COVID-19. As the geographical distribution of cases varies widely, a nationwide lockdown seems unlikely. But regional lockdowns could hamper the transport of raw materials and devices due to limited inter-state travel. Hence, for smartphone brands and channels, building up optimum inventory could prove to be a hurdle in the second half of the year. On the flipside Varun Kannan, Canalys Analyst also highlighted that unfavourable macroeconomic factors will lead to a rising smartphone ASP. According to the analyst, the combination of the ongoing supply crunch on key imported components and a weaker Rupee will make it increasingly difficult for vendors to maintain margins at current price levels. Therefore impacting the cost, which will hit particularly hard in the sub-US$200 smartphone segment, which accounted for 81% of the market last year. It is a platform that provides access to e-governance services throughout the country.

  • Click the Deselect all option given at the beginning of the list. It must be noted that you may keep all the options selected but for the sake of example, we’ll choose to save only the questions and answers.
  • Scroll down until you see the Search Contributions option.

The performance limitations and compatibility issues, if any, will be taken care of in the upcoming Apple M-series chips. The directory will serve as a one-stop source for contacting hospitals quickly.

The COVID-19 Healthcare Directory is already available in the beta version of the Truecaller app and the users can access it anytime. It must be noted that the feature is currently available only for Android devices. We can expect to appear on the iOS version of the app as well soon. According to Truecaller, “We will be updating it every day and making sure that as many hospital phone numbers from as many areas in India are available”.
