Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra variant likely to come with S Pen

0

A lot of rumours are surfacing online giving out details about the successor of Samsung Galaxy S20 that is reportedly being called the Galaxy S21. The latest leak reveals that the Galaxy S21 Ultra device, which will be launched in the first half of next year, is likely to come with an S Pen.

A news report by The Elec Korea, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra variant will come with an S Pen. The S21 lineup is expected in the first half of next year. On the other hand, the report has revealed that the regular Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will not carry a stylus. Furthermore, the codename of Samsung Galaxy S21 is “Unbound” that comes with variants: M1, N2, and O3. The report added that the S Pen will likely to come with the O3 variant. Mind you! Samsung has not yet confirmed the official launch timing of the Galaxy Note21.

In addition, Samsung is likely to replace the Galaxy Note series by rolling out what is being dubbed as the S Pen-enabled Galaxy Z Fold 3 device. On a general basis, the Galaxy Note series sells about 10 million units by the end of the same year after launching in the third quarter. However, sales of the Galaxy Z Fold series have not yet reached this level. The first-generation Galaxy Fold products launched in September 2019 recorded a cumulative sales of 1 million units in the early first quarter of the period under review.

Samsung further plans to increase Ultra New Glass (UTG) production from 600,000 to 700,000 units per month to reach the limit of 1 million units per month by the end of the year. However, even assuming that UTG production is increased to 1 million units every month and sales for 6 months, the sales of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 are only 6 million units. It is 4 million less than the sales of the Galaxy Note series.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s latest Note series transforms the way you work – empowering you to do more anytime from anywhere – with the help of the new S Pen and Samsung Notes features. The S Pen on the Galaxy Note20 series has more lifelike precision that gives you more accuracy and responsiveness. The S Pen’s five new Anywhere Actions make touchless navigation of your device – like returning to the home screen or taking a screenshot – as simple as a flick of the wrist.

Google Drive security issue could disguise malicious files into legitimate documents

0

In the “manage versions” functionality that is being offered by Google Drive, the news is rife that hackers can now trick into unpatched security weakness to distribute malicious files that seemingly appear to be legitimate documents as well as images. The unpatched security weakness allows malware attackers to carry out cyber-attacks by achieving a high rate of success.

According to a news report by The Hacker News, the latest security issue in the “manage versions” of Google Drive has been left unpatched by Google. Mind you! The report adds that a legitimate version of a file can be disguised of a malicious file that appears to be unchanged during online previewed. However, when this same file is downloaded it could be used to carry out cyber-attacks. Owing to this, one can be lured to download a file without even knowing that it contains malicious content and is a threat. Google is yet to comment on the same. However, we need to be mindful while downloading the Google Drive file as it could be making are prone to cybercrime.

The Hacker News further revealed that this flaw was reported by Google to A Nikoci, who is a professional system administrator. Under this flaw, the users can be targetted by cybercriminals as a legitimate version of the file that’s already been shared among a group of users can be replaced by a malicious file. “Google lets you change the file version without checking if it’s the same type. They did not even force the same extension,” added Nikoci.

Earlier, the tech giant has also built advanced security protections into Google products to automatically identify and stop threats before they ever reach its users. Google’s machine learning models in Gmail already detect and block more than 99.9 percent of spam, phishing, and malware. The built-in security by Google also protects the users by alerting them before they enter fraudulent websites, scanning apps in Google Play before they download, and more.

With many of the COVID-19 related scams coming in the form of phishing emails, it’s important to pause and evaluate any COVID-19 email before clicking any links or taking other action. Be wary of requests for personal information such as your home address or bank details. Fake links often imitate established websites by adding extra words or letters to them—check the URL’s validity by hovering over it (on desktop) or with a long press (on mobile).

According to Google, “Our systems have also spotted malware-laden sites that pose as sign-in pages for popular social media accounts, health organizations, and even official coronavirus maps.”

Flipkart has constantly endeavored to create an inclusive e-commerce ecosystem and boost the growth of its seller partners in India. As MSMEs across the country bounce back and continue to look towards newer avenues for business growth, opportunities like these give them further confidence in the potential of e-commerce platforms.

“The preference of consumers in a country like Nepal is very similar to India. We are confident that the adoption of our Private Brands MarQ and SmartBuy will be strong. Google Pixel Buds users can now customize sound experience

0

Google has now introduced new features for Pixel Buds users to help them customize the sound experience, find their earbuds more easily if they’ve misplaced them, and get more done with the earbuds. Mind you! The tech giant reveals that this includes an experimental feature that alerts the users about what’s going on around them even when they have the Pixel Buds in.

According to a Google blog post, “When Pixel Buds launched earlier this year, we heard people wanted more control and customization over their audio experience. So today, we’re introducing bass boost and sharing detection to give you more options to use Pixel Buds in a way that’s unique to you. You can enhance your bass directly in the Pixel Buds settings, and if you decide to share one of your earbuds with someone, you no longer have to sacrifice your volume preferences thanks to sharing detection. When on, sharing detection automatically detects when you’re sharing an earbud with someone and you can both individually swipe on your respective earbud to control your own volume. So whether you’re listening to music or watching a movie with a friend, you can seamlessly share your Pixel Buds.”

Besides this, the users can translate, transcribe, and transform their conversations. Building on the helpfulness of Pixel Buds’ conversation mode translates feature, which helps when they are talking back and forth with another person, the new transcribe mode enables that users to follow along by reading the translated speech directly into their ear, helping them understand the gist of what’s being said during longer listening experiences.

Mind you! Transcribe mode of Google Pixel Buds, which is launching initially for French, German, Italian, and Spanish speakers to translate English speech, can help the users stay present at the moment and focus on the person speaking. In addition, transcribe mode works best in a quiet environment where one person is speaking at a time. The tech giant gives an example: “Simply say “Hey Google, ayúdame a entender inglés” to start listening, and optionally follow along on your phone screen to see the translated transcript.”

Additionally, there are more helpful features like if the user’s dog barks, baby cries or an emergency vehicle drives by with sirens ringing, Attention Alerts—an experimental feature that notifies the user of important things happening around him/her—lowers the volume of the content momentarily to alert them to what’s going on. Apart from this, Google has also added an update to Find My Device that will show you the last known location of the Pixel Buds on a map even when they’re no longer connected to your Android phone.

What’s more interesting is that users can even ask Google to turn touch controls on and off, so they don’t have to worry about accidentally triggering them. They’ll also be able to turn touch controls on and off in the Pixel Buds settings. In addition to this, the users can even ask Google Assistant to help check the battery life by saying “Hey Google, what’s the battery on my earbuds?”
