Xiaomi today announced its much anticipated latest flagship Mi 10T series in the market. The company has introduced two new devices Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro that features 144Hz refresh rate display panel and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support. In addition to this, the company has also launched Mi 10T Lite which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate display.
Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T Lite price
Mi 10T is the vanilla variant that has been introduced with a price tag of EUR 499 (approx Rs 43,000) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage while the 8GB variant costs EUR 549 (approx Rs 47,200). The device will be available in two shades Cosmic Black and Lunar Silver.
The Pro variant comes at EUR 599 (approx Rs 51,700) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage whereas the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model has been priced at EUR 649 (approx Rs 56,000). This will be offered in three colour options Aurora Blue, Cosmic Black and Lunar Silver.

Mi 10T Lite specifications
The Lite version of Mi 10T also runs MIUI 12, based on Android 10. The size of the display is also the same but here it has 120Hz refresh rate support. Also, the smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset with 5G support. Instead of a triple camera set up this phone has a 64-megapixel quad rear camera setup.

As Amazon has built Alexa and Echo devices with multiple layers of privacy, customers have transparency and control over their Alexa experience. And now, the company has introduced additional privacy controls and easier ways to learn about Alexa and privacy.
With these latest developments by Amazon, Alexa users can now choose whether or not to save their voice recordings. If one chooses not to save the voice recordings, they will be automatically deleted after Alexa processes the request. All previously saved recordings will also be deleted. However, one will still be able to review the transcripts of your Alexa requests for 30 days before they automatically start deleting.
Mind you! One can also delete the transcripts before 30 days in the Alexa app or online. In order to turn on this setting, simply click on the Alexa app > More Menu > Settings > Alexa Privacy > Manage Your Alexa Data, or by visiting Alexa Privacy Settings online.
According to an Amazon blog post, “You can still delete voice recordings one by one, by date range, by Alexa-enabled device, all at once, or choose to automatically delete your voice recordings on an ongoing three- or 18-month basis. By choosing to save your voice recordings, you have access to more personalized features, Alexa can better understand requests, and we can continue to improve the service. With these options, you can choose the control that is right for you.”

The tech giant Google has extended its unlimited time video calls until March 31, 2021. The company has announced that now the users will be able to make up to 24 hours of video call on Goggle Meet till March next year. The company made a recent change in its policy that has earlier put an end to using its video conferencing app Google Meet to make unlimited time video calls, unless payment is made and they would not make calls longer than 60 minutes from October 1. But now the company has extended the policy and will be free for all till March next year and the users do not have to shift to payment mode for unlimited time calls.
Recently Google announced that the users will no longer be able to make unlimited video calls via its video conferencing app Meet and those willing to use the feature will have to pay for it from October 1. In the past, the company has said that it will be limiting the free video call to 60 minutes. But now keeping in mind the Coronavirus pandemic as the people are using this application for meeting and attending online classes the company has decided to not enforce the time limit till March 31, 2021. So now the users can use the app to make unlimited calls as before.
Google in its latest blog post said, “As we look ahead to a holiday season with less travel and important milestones like family reunions, PTA meetings and weddings hosted over the video, we want to continue helping those who rely on Meet to stay in touch over the coming months. As a sign of our commitment, today we’re continuing unlimited Meet calls (up to 24 hours) in the free version through March 31, 2021, for Gmail accounts.”

The newly launched smartphone has a MediaTek Helio A20 SoC and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with all the necessary features in the smartphone.

Infinix Hot 10 Lite has been launched globally in Nigeria and Ghana. The smartphone will be available in a single 2GB RAM with 32GB storage. In Nigeria, the device is priced at NGN 45,400 that translates to Rs 8,700. The smartphone has also made its debut in Ghana where it retails at GHS 599 that translates to Rs 7,600. The smartphone will be available in four colour options of black, purple and two variants of blue. Until now the company has not revealed the smartphone’s international availability.

Design and Display
As far as the design of the Oppo Watch goes, we have to say that it looks a lot like Apple’s smartwatches. While for some that may be a plus point, some may consider it a downside. We will leave it on you to decide. The smartwatch is dominated by its AMOLED display that is curved towards its side edges. There are two buttons on the right edge of the watch that can perform a variety of functions. One of the two buttons is Emerald Green in colour, and it can be programmed to perform different tasks. If you long-press on it, it works like a Power button too.
We did miss the crown we had on our Samsung Galaxy 2 smartwatch for going through apps and navigation. The left edge of the smartwatch has a speaker, using which you can make calls and give commands to Google Assistant. The straps of the Oppo Watch are made up of a material that the company refers to as fluoro-rubber. When we wore the watch, we found the material to be very comfortable. We didn’t even feel the need to take it off at night. However, we should mention that in case you don’t like the strap, there aren’t any first or third-party replacements that are available, so you will just have to stick to them.
Coming to the display of the watch, it was an aspect that we really liked. But before we get to that, we should mention that the watch is available in two variants – 41mm and 46mm. For our review, we got the latter. The 1.91-inch curved AMOLED display of Oppo Watch covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and it proved to be really good. The icons were crisp, the colours were vibrant and sunlight visibility was never a problem because of ample brightness. According to the company, the watch has a built-in ambient light sensor, so the brightness levels get adjusted automatically.
To conclude, we would say that even though the Oppo Watch resembles the Apple Watch, it does have a very good design and display. We were particularly happy with the latter because of the way various images, icons and wallpapers looked on it.
Performance
Let’s talk about the specifications of the Oppo Watch before we discuss its performance. The watch runs Wear OS and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 SoC. The device has 1GB of RAM and the 46mm version is backed by 430mAh battery. The watch has support for VOOC charge technology, GPS and NFC but it lacks LTE.
Even without the latest chipset, the Oppo Watch did a good job with most day to day tasks and we did not experience any lag. We asked Google Assistant to perform various tasks and it seamlessly carried out all of our instructions. We also used the watch to measure our heart rate and track our daily activities.
The battery of the smartwatch will easily last an entire day in case you get all the notifications on the device and use it even while sleeping. With mild usage, the battery should last easily more than that. When the battery level starts falling, there is also an option of activating the power-saving mode. Another thing that we liked was that it didn’t take us too long to charge the smartwatch, thanks to the VOOC technology. Our smartwatch’s battery went from 0 to 100% in less than 40 minutes.
Oppo Watch also comes with fitness and sleep tracking options. You can keep a track of the number of steps you have taken, activity sessions, calories, and workout time. Under Workouts section, you will also find options including Fitness Run, Fat Burn Run, Outdoor Walk, Outdoor Cycling and Swimming. You can even track your heart rate using the watch.
We tried a number of these options. A good thing with the fitness-related options was that the watch actually gave us guided instructions like ‘speed up’ and ‘slow down’ and this made sure that our workout was efficient. You can even use third-party apps of your choice if you think that you like them better. We should also mention that Samsung’s smartwatches offer a lot more in terms of fitness options. So if you are a fitness freak, you may think of investing there instead.
Sleep tracking on the device was good, however, the data was recorded only between 8PM and 10AM.
Verdict
The pros of the Oppo Watch include its design, the vibrant display, the smooth performance and VOOC technology for the battery. But at the same time, the watch lacks LTE and that may be a problem for some. But at Rs 19,990, Oppo Watch certainly does not disappoint. As we mentioned earlier, if you are a fitness freak, you may prefer something from Samsung’s Active series, but otherwise, Oppo Watch is definitely a good buy.

Today on one hand the South Korean electronics giant launched Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 in India while on the other hand, the company has announced the launch of its new ab let in the market. Yes, we are talking about another new tablet but this a rugged one namely Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 which is a new smart tablet. The device is a follow up of Tab Active 2 featuring a sleek and compact design for portability.

In India, Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 comes in two different models LTE and WiFi. The LTE both have 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. The LTE model has been priced at Rs 21,999 while the Wi-Fi model comes with a price tag of Rs 17,999. The device will be offered in three colour options Dark Gray, Silver and Gold. The Samsung Tablet is now up for pre-bookings via Samsung.com, select retail stores and leading online portals.
The pre-booking offers include a Keyboard Cover at a special price of Rs 1875 along with an additional cashback of up to Rs 2,000 to the ICICI debit and credit cardholder. The company is yet to announce when Tab A7 will be going on sale in India.

Coming to the specification the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 comes with a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ TFT display having 2,000×1,200 pixels of resolution. The tab runs on One UI 2.5 based on top of Android 10. There is a dedicated micro SD card slot on the device to further expand the memory to up to 1TB.
