After a recent credential stuffing attack, Spotify has reportedly started resetting the passwords of over 300 million accounts that were targeted. The action has been taken after vpnMentor’s research team delved deep into an Elasticsearch database comprising of more than 380 million records that even contained login credentials as well as other user data being validated against the Spotify service.
According to vpnMentor’s research team led by Noam Rotem and Ran Locar, The size of database was 72GB database and it contained over 380 million records. However, there is no source of origin of the database and how the fraudsters were targeting Spotify. It is believed that the hackers were likely using these stolen login credentials from another platform, app, or website to access Spotify accounts.
The vpnMentor further notified about the discovery and investigation timeline. This was discovered on July 3, 2020 (reviewed on July 9th) and Spotify was contacted on July 9th, 2020. The action took place between July 10 and July 21. It also confirmed that the database belonged to a group or individual using it to defraud Spotify and its users.

The newly launched Poco M3 is the company’s latest budget smartphone which comes with a Dot Drop design also known as a waterdrop-style display. This is the company’s third addition to its M-series which already includes Poco M2 and Poco M2 Pro. After banning hundreds of Chinese app in India, 43 more apps have been banned by the Government. The latest list of banded apps now includes popular apps such as Ali Express, Snack Video, CamCard – Business Card Reader and more. As per the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the apps have been blocked access under section 69A of the Information Technology Act due to these apps engaging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order. Previously more than 200 apps were debarred in India that include PUBG Mobile, TikTok and others.
As per the latest orders by the Government, “Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India today issued an order under section 69A of the Information Technology Act blocking access to 43 mobile apps. This action was taken based on the inputs regarding these apps for engaging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued the order for blocking the access of these apps by users in India based on the comprehensive reports received from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs.”
Taking a fast recap, the first ban was put on 59 Chinese apps in June this year. The list then included TikTok, Shareit, Shein, WeChat, Club Factory and more. In the second round, more than 118 apps including PUBG was blocked under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.
In a new development 43 mobile apps more have been banned in India based on the comprehensive reports received from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs. “Government is committed to protecting the interests of citizens and sovereignty and integrity of India on all fronts and it shall take all possible steps to ensure that” the Government order reads.

With news being officially confirmed that Deathloop will arrive on consoles exclusively for PlayStation 5 on May 21, 2021, it has now been revealed how the upcoming action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios is taking advantage of the PS5’s DualSense controller to enhance the immersive experience.
According to Anne Lewis, Senior Content Manager at Bethesda Softworks that has published Deathloop, “With Deathloop’s dynamic weapons, every weapon will feel unique in your hands. From the way it fires or swings, to the way it reloads or connects with its target, you’ll feel the difference through the DualSense controller.”
The PT-6 Spiker in Deathloop is an example of dynamic weapon system. The player will feel each nail fall into the magazine with granularity every time he/she reload the weapon. Also, one would feel the resistance of the adaptive trigger as they hold to align the shot, and the immediate recoil and discharge when they fire.
“Every time you die on Blackreef or the loop restarts, it’s a chance to get better. You learn. You grow. You get more badass weapons and abilities. But when you first start out, you might be working with a lower-tier weapon. Something maybe a little rusty and prone to jamming. OnePlus 9 series leaks and rumours have been doing the rounds on the web for quite some time now. Previously, the devices were spotted on Geekbench suggesting Snapdragon 875 SoC while the leaked renders suggested design tweaks. Some reports also suggested the upcoming series to have a third model. In a new development, the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 renders have surfaced therefore revealing the camera setup. The company has recently got its Indian subsidiary under the title “PUBG India Private Limited” registered. The organisation will be based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has approved the registration of PUBG India Pvt. Ltd on November 21. According to the registrar of the companies, Kumar Krishnan Iyer is the authorized director of PUBG India Pvt. Ltd.

With an aim to step up its competition against TikTok and Instagram Reels, Snapchat has introduced Spotlight to highlight the most entertaining Snaps created by the Snapchat community. The American multimedia messaging app allows the users to submit the best video Snaps to Spotlight enabling them to earn a share of more than $1 million that it claims to be distributing to creators every day.
According to Snapchat, “We built Spotlight to be a place where anyone’s content can take center stage – without needing a public account, or an influencer following. It’s a fair and fun place for Snapchatters to share their best Snaps and see perspectives from across the Snapchat community.”
As far as the opportunity to earn money is concerned, the Snaps you submit to Spotlight must follow Snapchat’s content guidelines and terms that prohibit the spread of false information (including conspiracy theories), misleading content, hate speech, explicit or profane content, bullying, harassment, violence, and much more. The most important thing that has to be kept in mind before participation is that the age of participant must be 16 years or older to earn.
Snapchat further revealed that earnings are determined by a proprietary formula which rewards Snapchatters on the basis of the total number of unique video views a Snap gets in a given day (calculated using Pacific Time) as against the performance of other Snaps that day.
Moreover, Snapchat’s Spotlight content is moderated and doesn’t allow for public comments. The content algorithms of Snapchat work to surface the most engaging Snaps that one must be interested in. It focuses on serving the right Snaps to the right person at the right time by understanding the personal preferences. Furthermore, the ranking algorithm also takes notice of negative factors like if the viewer skipped watching the Snap quickly. Mind you! Snaps that appear in Spotlight can be from Snapchatters with private, personal accounts, or from Snap Stars with public profiles and millions of Subscribers.
“We also use “exploration” mechanisms to ensure that you see new and diverse entertainment in Spotlight. This approach distributes views more fairly to a broad group of creators. And, it teaches our algorithmic models that diversity and inclusion of different views should be part of their native function,” added the American multimedia messaging app.

Just like the TrueCaller app, Google is now prepping up to bring its own caller ID app in India. The app will soon be available to Android users with a revamped look and is likely to be known as Google Call. The calling app has been spotted via a YouTube ad, however, is not available for download on the Play Store. As we said it will come in a new avatar having a new logo. The company aims to compete with the TrueCaller app which has got immense popularity in India to avoid scam callsThe Google call app will come with some of the important features. As per the 9to5google report, the app will include a caller ID feature so that the user could know about the caller’s details. The publisher has also shared a screenshot confirming the presence and name of the app however Google is yet to officially reveal its upcoming application or the new changes made to the existing app.Taking a fast recap Google in September announced a new feature called Verified Calls in the Phone app. The feature is going to identify calls from genuine business numbers in order to deal with phone fraud which is a very serious issue in India as well as across the globe. The Verified calls feature will show the identity of the caller along with the reason for the call.As we said before, the Phone app is available on Google Play Store and it also comes pre-loaded on most phones. This makes Bluetooth pairing as simple and easy as plugging in a cable. To use this feature, you need to be sure that both your mobile device and your headphones support “tap-to-pair” functionality.
Astonishingly, the WF-H800 TWS earphones do not have any IPX rating as it is only meant for casual listening. So, we don’t recommend you to use these for water sports or similar activities. To power on and off the earbuds is quite simple. Just take them out of the case or put them back into the case and they come alive or go to sleep.

Also be sure to turn off the Equalizer setting while using the DSEE HX Auto setting because if the Equalizer setting is enabled, DSEE HX will not work, even when DSEE HX is set to Auto.

The Sony WF-H800 TWS earphones focus more on vocals and are perfect for people who like to watch a lot of Netflix as well as listen to a lot of music.
