Microsoft India today announced the availability of its updated Surface Pro X while expanding its Surface portfolio. The Microsoft Surface Pro X was launched a couple of weeks ago with a more powerful processor for increased performance and with an extended battery life of up to 15 hours on a single charge.“Earlier this year, we introduced Surface Pro X in India to push the boundaries for what an always connected, ultra-light and incredibly thin 2:1 device could be,” said Rajiv Sodhi, Chief Operating Officer, Microsoft India. “We now bring new updates to Surface Pro X, including new app experiences, enhanced performance and a new platinum finish, delivering a new experience to those who need to be connected, productive, and creative at any time.” Microsoft Surface Pro X will be available in two different configurations of LTE model priced at Rs 1,49,999 while the 16GB of RAM with 512GB storage LTE variant at Rs 1,78,999. Both models will be available in Platinum and Black Colour options. Whereas the Signature Keyboard will be available in three new colour options Platinum, Ice Blue, and Poppy Red. According to the company, they will be available for commercial customers only via local commercial authorised resellers.Microsoft Surface Pro XSurface Pro X comes with a 13-inch display with a 3.2 aspect ratio and 2880×1920 pixels of resolution. The device is powered by Microsoft SQ2 processor which has been develop in association with Qualcomm that is paired with 16GB of RAM option along with up to 512GB of SSD storage. It also comes equipped with Adreno 690 GPU for graphics in addition to Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 LTE modem for 4G connectivity.For developers, Visual Studio Code has also been updated and optimized for Windows on ARM. This results in overall faster performance and longer battery life with Surface Pro X now getting up to 15 hours of battery life across both configurations. Wacom has now unveiled an entry-level 13-inch pen display for a new generation of creators dubbed as Wacom One. In order to artistically enhance photos or video to create engaging posts, Wacom One will enable budding artists wanting to work with digital media in their daily activities and social media content creation needs.
Asserting that Wacom One aims to deliver an accurate and natural pen experience for a wide range of new users, said Rajiv Malik, Senior Director, Wacom India, said, “The product’s features, bundled software options and attractive price will allow a new wave of digital artists, makers, social media content creators, photographers, students, educators and business people to express themselves artistically and make the world a more creative place.”

The Chinese smartphone company OnePlus is going to unveil its latest smartphone series OnePlus 8T in India on October 14. The news is rife on the same day the company is going to launch OnePlus Nord Special Edition. Yes, the company’s affordable smartphone will be getting a special edition variant which is supposed to be a new Sandstone colour variant. The company has also shared teasers suggesting the new colour options in Sandstone Black. Sony India has announced the Alpha 7S III (model ILCE-7SM3), a perfect partner for professional users with refined features and exceptional performance. Featuring a brand new 12.1MP (approx., effective) back-illuminated full-frame image sensor with ultra-high ‘s’ series sensitivity and 15+ stop wide dynamic range, a host of video recording capabilities including 4K 120pi and 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth, a new heat dissipating mechanism, dual slot relay recording enabling over one-hour of 4K 60p movie shooting until battery ends, a new autofocus system, and touch screen interface and side flip LCD screen, the new Alpha 7S III will become the ultimate creative tool for video professionals and all types of hybrid still/video shooters.

In addition to improved image quality, this new image sensor includes a focal plane phase-detection AF system for the first time in an S-series camera.
Along with the new sensor, the Alpha 7S III also includes a new BIONZ XR image processing engine that provides up to eight times more processing power, minimizes processing latency, and enables many of the hallmark still and imaging features of the camera. The new system also includes the world’s brightest and largest 9.44 million-dot (approx.) OLED electronic eye-level viewfinder and is the world’s first camera with dual CFexpress Type A card slots, enabling high-speed data transfer in a compact size.
The base ISO has been lowered to 80, resulting in a normal range of 80-102,400 (expandable to 80-409,600 for video and 40-409,600 for stills) to provide more flexible ISO plus wide dynamic range with low noise at all settings. It offers improved image quality by approximately 1 stop of noise reduction in the middle and high sensitivity ranges.
Moreover, the Alpha 7S III showcases video recording capabilities including 4K 120p and 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth. The Alpha 7S III offers in-camera 4K recording up to 120 frames per second, 10-bit depth and 4:2:2 color sampling, producing stunning video recording. The new camera offers a more flexible and efficient post-production workflow with a variety of advanced movie recording modes such as All-Intra and MPEG-H HEVC/H.265 coding (XAVC HS).
The Alpha 7S III the ultimate creative tool for video professionals and all types of hybrid still/video shooters. It comprises a brand new 12.1MP back-illuminated full-frame image sensor with ultra-high sensitivity and 15+ stop wide dynamic range making. Furthermore, it allows up to 4K 60p 16-bit RAW output to an external recorder via HDMI Type-A connector.
On the design front, the Alpha 7S III’s design has been updated to ensure effective heat dissipation and minimizes overheating — even during extended continuous recording sessions at 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 video lasting an hour or more. The new heat-dissipating structure requires no fan or cabinet vents allowing Alpha 7S III to maintain dust and moisture resistance. For video on-the-go, the Alpha 7S III is the first Alpha series camera to include Active Mode with 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization to support especially difficult handheld movie shooting.
With Dual CF express Type A card slots that enable high speed data processing while keeping the compact size, the Alpha 7S III features two CFexpress Type A compatible media slots which also support UHS-I and UHS-II SDXC/SDHC cards, enabling high write-and-read speeds while keeping the camera body compact in size. High-speed data transfer to a PC is possible at about 1.7 times faster, then that of SD card. The dual slots can be set to relay mode for extended continuous recording of even the highest bit rate data as well as simultaneous recording and sort by format type recording.
As far as the price and availability is concerned, the new Alpha 7S III camera and CFexpress cards will be available across all Sony Center, Alpha Flagship stores, www.ShopatSC.com portal and major electronic stores across India from 15th October 2020 onwards. With a price tag of Rs 1,64,900 for body and Rs 1,89,900 for kit, LUMIX S5 is available across Panasonic brand shops and Panasonic 4K Imaging School.
According to Panasonic, LUMIX S5 hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera, packs the essence of the conventional S Series camera in a compact, lightweight body and provides excellent performance in both shooting photos and recording videos for serious and enthusiastic photographers, videographers and digital content creators.

Hisense might be a new entrant in India, but we have experienced its TVs plenty of times at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) at Las Vegas, USA. The company is known for giving great (latest) features at affordable rates. Bringing the same theory to India, Hisense launched a flurry of thin tubes in India out of which we got the 43-inch Android Television to tinker with. We spent some time with the flat screen and this is our review of Hisense Android TV 43A71F.

Design
Out of the box, the Hisense Android TV 43A71F takes very little time to setup. The manual is thorough enough to get you rolling. Looks-wise the TV has similarities with other brands in the market that have a similar twin V type table stand and thin bezels. However here the bottom bezel with the Hisense branding is broader than the other three sides (that are really thin). There are no physical buttons on the TV set and since it is a smart TV, you have to enable or browse everything with the supplied remote.
The Hisense Android TV 43A71F has a single component port at the back along with 3 HDMI, 1 Ethernet and 2 USB ports on the side. A 3.5mm auxiliary port can also be found here. These are somewhat accessible from the side (we would have wanted closer to the side and not deeper in). The remote is well made and has a mesh running on its back for extra grip. It has all the necessary functions along with some great quick access buttons for OTT players such as Netflix, YouTube, Google Play, Prime Video and Disney Hotstar.
Hisense Android TV 43A71F Performance
Moving on the fun part. Hisense Android TV 43A71F is made for binge-watchers and couch-potatoes who want nothing but the best sound and picture quality. This television provides both. You can watch 4K video on this smart TV with powerful sound. Unlike most in the category, this TV set provides 24W RMS sound with Dolby Atmos. Trust us, the sound on this TV is very loud and good for medium to a large room.
We played a lot of varied content on the TV starting from Netflix shows to YouTube videos. A couple of Xbox games were also thrown in and everything worked quite well. The colours were very vivid with exceptional blacks. Since it is an LED smart TV with Dolby Vision, the games (especially the racing ones) look very nice. Audio for both, gaming and movies is great, and like we said 24W sound with Dolby Atmos does a super job.
Talking a bit more about the Tech Specs, this smart TV has 2GB RAM inside with 16GB of space. It is built on Google Android 9 Pie for TVs so boot time is quite low. It takes about 20 seconds for it to fully load up. Apps like Netflix, Disney Hotstar, Prime Video come preloaded on the OS and more can be downloaded from the App store. Most popular playback files like MP4, MP3, JPEG etc are supported via the USB drive as well. There is a dedicated sports mode on the TV too that adjusts the contrast of the TV according to the sport type.
Verdict
All in all, the Hisense Android TV 43A71F is a good TV. Things like Google assistant are in-built and can be accessed easily with the supplied remote. This smart TV supports both Ethernet and Wi-Fi and connects to 5GHz (Wi-Fi) for fast speed internet with a compatible modem. That is good since none of us wants to be hit with the bugging buffer wheel. At Rs 32,990 this 43-inch smart TV might seem to be on the higher side. However, none of the competition has the same kind of features this TV has. Also, right now since they are a new brand in the country they might have teething issues. You can definitely buy this one if you can look past these.

The Realme Q2 price has been set at CNY 1,299 (Approx Rs 14,200) for base 4GB RAM with 128GB storage while the 6GB RAM option comes with a price tag of CNY 1,399 (Approx Rs 15,200). This variant is available in two colour options blue and silver. The Pro variant will be available in two variants 8GB RAM with 128GB storage at CNY 1,799 (Approx Rs. 19,600) and the 256GB option comes at CNY 1,999 (Approx Rs 21,800). The smartphone will be available in grey and gradient colour option. The Realme Q2i comes in a single 4GB RAM with 128GB storage option priced at CNY 1,199 (Approx Rs 13,000). This comes in blue and silver colour options. Both the standard variant and the Pro one will be available for sale on October 19 while the Q2i will be up for pre-orders from October 21.
In terms of cameras, there is a triple camera set up on the back of the phone which includes a 48-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Further assisted by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.3 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.1 aperture.
