All the devices run on the A15 Bionic chipset. The new series is loaded with new technologies like 5G support, a new Cinematic Mode, Dolby Vision HDR and a ceramic shield on the front. Both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini come with the latest design and diagonally arranged camera lenses. There is a 6.06 inches (iPhone 13) or 5.42 inches (iPhone 13 mini)Super Retina XDR display. A few months ago, we came across and reviewed the Oppo Enco X and were absolutely smitten by the nifty pair of wireless TWS earphones. Now the company is out with its younger sibling in the form of Oppo Enco Buds. We took them out for a run, played a few games and also attended a Zoom meeting with it. So how did they perform? Oppo Enco Buds review: Design
In the (large for these TWS) card box exterior, you get a pill-shaped sparkling white charging case kept in the middle. Pull it out and you will see twin Oppo Enco Buds earphones inside. The charging case is well built and not flimsy at all like we have seen with some of the Realme wireless earphones. Apart from the LED indicator, the case also has USB Type-C charging port but the cable is not part of the box.
Users only get two extra silicone tips (large and small) and a quick start guide in the box, other than the Oppo Enco Buds and its charging case. To keep the costs low and also lessen the carbon footprint there is no charging cable or charger in the box.
Both the Oppo Enco Buds are also dressed in pearly white and get magnetically fixed within the charging case. Pull them out and you will find them to be really light. Each weighs about 4 grams and the case weighs 37 grams. The Oppo Enco Buds fit nicely in the ear and create a vacuum so that they do not fall off, even when you are running.
The exterior of the Oppo Enco Buds also has feather touch controls on them. You can tap to pause/play songs, double-tap to go to the next song or triple tap to turn the game mode on/off. Both the earbuds have microphones on them and connect to the device/smartphone simultaneously using binaural BT transmission.
Oppo Enco Buds review: Performance
These are a really sweet piece of earbuds in a budget. When we wanted them to sing they not just sang, but brought the thump with them. The engineers at Oppo have done a superb job. The amount of bass one gets from Oppo Enco Buds is exceptional. We tried a couple of apps like Spotify and Amazon Music with them and at each step, they amazed us. No matter what kind of music you are into these nifty audio earphones will deliver. They are good for binging Netflix shows too.
So next, we tried them with games like BGMI and COD: Mobile. Since Oppo has built them for gamers as well, we had to give them a go with our favourite games. Oppo says it has 80ms super-low latency (when game mode is on), we could feel the effort made. When compared to others in the bracket these came out to be on the podium. The shot to sound latency in a game is extremely low and we enjoyed our time playing FPS games with it.
There are 8MM dynamic audio drivers in each of the Oppo Enco Buds and as said they are good for music, voice calls and even gaming. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported, and they have a range of 10M. We tested it out and the sound was good up to 8 meters without walls, but with walls or doors in between the range reduces to about 4.5 meters.
Both the Oppo Enco Buds have a 40mAh battery inside, which the company claims to last for 6 hours. This is just about right. We got about 5.5 hours of playtime from them, after which we had to put them back in the case. The case with its additional 400 mAh battery can provide between 17-19 hours of added playback time. In case you are in a hurry, just put them to charge for 15 minutes in the charging case and you will end up getting 60 minutes of playback time.
Verdict
These are plug and play earbuds. By that we mean you can instantly connect them with any BT smartphone or laptop. These also have the capability to auto-connect with an Oppo phone when the case opens. The total charge time of the case with Oppo Enco Buds inside them is about 3 hours. Also, these earphones come with IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
One thing we were expecting from them was more comfort. The plastic exterior is not super comfortable, but just about fine. So, at a price of Rs 1,799 are they worth buying? That is a definite yes. If you are looking for good (less expensive) wireless earphones for music or gaming, you can buy them without a doubt.

Facebook along with eyewear brand Ray-Ban last week introduced their new smart glasses — Ray-Ban Stories shades. Now Chinese Electronics major, Xiaomi, today announced the launch of its first new smart eye wearable — Xiaomi Smart Glasses. The glasses also have sensors and navigation and real-time text translation. It has been embedded with MicroLED optical waveguide technology which allows text reading while the smart glasses are on. One can also use it to take pictures, make calls and translate text. Besides Xiaomi and Facebook, Snapchat is another brand that also offers camera-equipped Spectacles smart glasses. The all-new Xiaomi Smart Glasses is the latest entrant to offer a new smart eye wearable device. The glasses are 51g in weight, have a display chip measuring just 2.4mm x 2.02mm and look like ordinary glasses. According to the company, the display is of a microscopic size having individual pixels sized at 4μm. It also allows sufficient light to enter through complicated optical structures before reaching the eye even in harsh direct sunlight.It equips MicroLED imaging technology to lower the design space needed in structural design, as well as the overall weight of the device. Nokia brand licensee HMD Global has announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone in the Indian market. The company has introduced Nokia C01 Plus in the country. The device runs on Android 11 (Go edition) and features a waterproof casing. The smartphone also includes a 3,000mAh battery. To recall, the handset was first introduced in Russia in June this year.

The iPhone 13 launch event is all set to take place today. The company a few days back sent the virtual invite for the ‘California Streaming’ event. The iPhone 13 series is one of the most anticipated products that is expected to be announced at the Apple Event today. The company is rumoured to launch four devices: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the iPhone 13 mini. Reportedly the new devices will see some significant changes on the new models over its last predecessors. Just ahead of the launch event, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst revealed that the new models of iPhone will be available in new storage capacity. The vanilla variant and the mini model are expected to be available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options. Whereas the Pro and Pro Max are likely to come with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Speaking of the specification of the iPhone 13 series, it may come with smaller notches and have larger camera sensors. Reportedly the Pro and Pro Max will have improved ultra-wide cameras.The iPhone 13 and mini are tipped to come in Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, Red and White colour options to choose from. Whereas the upper two top models will be available in Black, Brown, Gold, and Silver options. As for the battery life, it may be relatively 18–20 percent larger than last year’s models. In addition to this, the devices will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. But it will be restrained to 60Hz when in Low Power Mode. Also, the MagSafe magnetic charging will have some improvements. It is likely to have stronger magnets. Apart from this, the Apple iPhone 13 may also include a portrait cinematic video feature with electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Also, the company’s event poster shows the low light scenario which benefits from improved nighttime photography. One of the videos shared on Twitter shows the glowing logo while the glowing stars also indicate the upcoming iPhone 13 series might includeastrophotography mode similar to Google Pixels. Moreover, the iPhone 13 series is also expected to get a satellite connectivity feature that will provide connectivity even without cellular coverage but that is to be expected to be available in select markets only. Alongside the latest range of iPhone, Apple is also likely to introduce the Apple Watch Series 7 today. The smartwatch is said to match the design language of the iPhone and iPad and it could be a little larger than its predecessor. It could also see improved battery life, new design and display as well as the chipset.On the other hand, AirPods 3 could also be part of today’s California Streaming event. The upcoming TWS may carry a similar design as AirPods Pro. The third-generation AirPods are likely to come with wireless charging and a 20 percent larger battery.

The company has introduced Tecno Spark 8 as its latest Spark 8 offering under the 10K price segment. The phone comes with a dual rear camera set up. The lineup consists of three models 32-inch, 40-inch, and 43-inch which are now available at a discount via e-commerce website Flipkart until Thursday. Ahead of the upcoming festive season, Infinix has announced discounts on its X1 Smart TV series in India. The 32-inch and 43-inch display sizes were announced last year in December whereas the 40-inch model was introduced in July this year. Now all these models are currently being made available at lesser prices for a limited period. The Infinix X1 32-inch Android Smart TV will be available at Rs 14,999 whereas the Infinix X1 40-inch Android Smart TV will come at Rs 22,999. The Infinix X1 43-inch Android Smart TV will be offered at a discounted price of Rs 19,999. It’s almost time for upcoming Apple products in the market. The company already announced its upcoming event to be held in California, which will be streamed live. While it’s not been revealed what products are to be released at the event. But we can surely tell that one of them will be the iPhone 13 release event. The iPhone 13 series had multiple leaks earlier to its launch. Just like them, another one appeared with colour options and storage availability. iPhone 13 will be available in Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, PRODUCT (RED), and White colours. For now, the phone is tipped to come with two storage options 128GB and 256GB. On the other hand, iPhone 13 Pro could be offered in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options and will be available in premium Black, Silver, Gold, and Bronze colours. The same can be expected of the iPhone 13 Pro max.We can also expect some design changes that include a slimmer notch, which was achieved by placing the infrared flood illuminator, sensor and dot projector in a single module, a bigger camera and thicker chassis to include a larger battery. The camera module will have a diagonally placed camera for iPhone 13 and is expected to have a large module to carry a bigger sensor. iPhone 13 Pro is suggested to feature a six-element lens up from the five-element lens on the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Ming-Chi Kuo is believed to be a famous analyst who expects that the ultrawide lens on iPhone 13 Pro will get support for autofocus for the first time. In addition, the primary camera lens will feature an f/1.5 lens, as compared to the f/1.6 on the current iPhone 12 models. This will allow for better night shots and bokeh images and videos. It will also feature the LiDAR sensor and sensor-shift stabilisation as well. Along with this, there will be an improvement in the videos section of cameras as well.
Battery and Display
Powering the phone will be a bigger 3,095mAh battery. Compared to the older current-gen iPhone 12 and 12 Pro gets a 2,815mAh battery. Even if the upgrade is not massive the new chipset which will be A15 bionic will be a lot more battery efficient as compared to A14 bionic in the current gen. The rest of the details of this new chipset is unknown but according to the leaks, it will be based on the same 5nm architecture. The display of the phone may get a new module as well. A new superior 120Hz LTPO panel can be expected to have an under-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. Price
The “California Streaming” event will be on September 14 i.e tomorrow and will be conducted online at 10:30 PM IST. It will be exciting to see what other products are launching and the exact specifications of the new series. The pricing and release date in India is still under wraps by the company, but referring to the current models the iPhone 13 series could be available from Rs 79,900 all the way up to Rs 1,59,900 for the top Pro/Pro Max variant.

Both the Oppo Enco Buds are also dressed in pearly white and get magnetically fixed within the charging case. Pull them out and you will find them to be really light. Each weighs about 4 grams and the case weighs 37 grams. The Oppo Enco Buds fit nicely in the ear and create a vacuum so that they do not fall off, even when you are running.
The exterior of the Oppo Enco Buds also has feather touch controls on them. You can tap to pause/play songs, double-tap to go to the next song or triple tap to turn the game mode on/off. Both the earbuds have microphones on them and connect to the device/smartphone simultaneously using binaural BT transmission.
There are 8MM dynamic audio drivers in each of the Oppo Enco Buds and as said they are good for music, voice calls and even gaming. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported, and they have a range of 10M. We tested it out and the sound was good up to 8 meters without walls, but with walls or doors in between the range reduces to about 4.5 meters.
Both the Oppo Enco Buds have a 40mAh battery inside, which the company claims to last for 6 hours. This is just about right. We got about 5.5 hours of playtime from them, after which we had to put them back in the case. The case with its additional 400 mAh battery can provide between 17-19 hours of added playback time. In case you are in a hurry, just put them to charge for 15 minutes in the charging case and you will end up getting 60 minutes of playback time.
