Microblogging platform Twitter introduced a new safety feature called Safety Mode on its platform. This safety function will be available to iOS, Android, and Twitter.com. As of now, the functionality is available to a limited number of users to block accounts for using potentially harmful language. Twitter’s new Safety Mode is now rolling out and aims to reduce disruptive interactions. The safety feature is being released to a small feedback group on iOS, Android, and Twitter.com, beginning with accounts that have English-language settings enabled. This enables users to temporarily block accounts for seven days for using potentially harmful language — such as insults or hateful remarks — or sending repetitive and uninvited replies or mentions. The Safety Mode on Twitter can be easily turned on from the setting. When this functionality is enabled the company’s systems assess the likelihood of a negative engagement by considering both the Tweet’s content and the relationship between the Tweet author and replier.  “Our technology takes existing relationships into account, so accounts you follow or frequently interact with will not be auto blocked,” as stated by the social media platform. As per Twitter if someone’s tweet is found to be harmful or uninvited will be autoblocked, meaning they’ll temporarily be unable to follow your account, see your Tweets, or send the user Direct Messages. However, the users will be able to find info related to the Tweets flagged through Safety Mode and view the details of temporarily blocked accounts at any time. Also when each Safety Mode period ends they will receive a notification recapping this information.  With the launch of Safety Mode, Twitter attempts to protect the individual on the receiving end of Tweets by reducing the prevalence and visibility of harmful remarks. Popular Social media website Twitter today announced the launch of a new feature for the creators on its platform. The Super Follow features will allow them to earn revenue every month when they only share subscriber related content with their followers on Twitter.  Commenting on the launch Esther Crawford, Staff Product Manager at Twitter said, “Today we’re excited to introduce Super Follows, a new way for people to earn monthly revenue by sharing subscriber-only content with their followers on Twitter. With Super Follows, people can create an extra level of conversation on Twitter (sharing bonus Tweets and more!) to interact authentically with their most engaged followers – all while earning money.” According to Esther, this feature is for anyone who can offer unique perspectives and personalities to the platform to drive the public conversation, including activists, journalists, musicians, content curators, writers, gamers, astrology enthusiasts, skincare and beauty experts, comedians, fantasy sports experts, and more.  Creating Super Follows content will allow the people to set a monthly subscription of $2.99, $4.99 or $9.99 a month to monetize bonus, “behind-the-scenes” content for their most engaged followers on Twitter.  In addition to this, the followers will get special access to their unfiltered thoughts, early previews and subscriber-only conversations from their favourite accounts. The creators will be able to find and interact with their Super Followers by looking for the Super Followers badge. These public badges will be highlighted under their Super Followers name whenever they reply to a creator’s Tweet.

How and who can set up Super Follow Subscription?

As for now, the Super Follow feature will be accessible for iOS users in the US and Canada. According to Twitter a small group within the U.S. who applied can set up a Super Follows subscription. However the users can continue to apply to join the waitlist to set up a Super Follows subscription by swiping open the sidebar on your Home timeline, tapping on Monetization, then selecting Super Follows.  How and who can set up Super Follow Subscription? Also, there is eligibility for the waitlist at the moment. The users need to have over 10K followed and should have attained 18 years of age. They have tweeted 25 times within the last 30 days, been in the U.S., and follow the Super Follows Policy. The microblogging website will be rolling it out to people using iOS globally in the next few weeks. Creators can share Super Follows Tweets on iOS only and Super Follows Tweets can be viewed on iOS, with Android and twitter.com coming soon.  How to subscribe for Super Follow? Things required

  1. A system is either a laptop or a PC running on either Windows, macOS or ChromeOS.
  2. An Android phone with Google Play Services version 20.30.12 or higher.
  3. Another smartphone with running SMS functionality for the verification and test process.
  4. Chrome 93 or later, both on desktop or laptop and mobile. (Chrome 93 was released today and may not be directly available to all the devices, check for updates)
  5. Both the smartphone and system should be signed to Google Chrome with the same Google account.
  6. Make sure Google Chrome 93 is the default browser.

How to use the demo

  1. Head to https://web-otp-demo.glitch.me/ on desktop. Click the Verify button after reading the instruction on the screen.
  2. Send the text msg mentioned on the screen exactly from a second phone to an android device.
3. After the SMS is delivered to the android device there will be a popup on-screen on your desktop asking you to verify your phone number. Press Submit to approve.
4. There will be an OTP generated and sent to you on your Android phone which will be automatically fetched by your desktop version of Google Chrome 93. It’s good to see that Google constantly tries to make the already good browser better with its quality updates. As we are inching closer to the speculated launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE more rumours and leaks have started doing the rounds on the web. The device is expected to hit the stores on September 8. The phone has been spotted several times on benchmarking websites and other platforms. Now the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE user manual has surfaced online revealing its design and key details.  As per the leaked user manual for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, the look of the smartphone will be similar to the vanilla Galaxy S21 however this may not come with a metal housing on the rear camera module. Moreover, the user manual did not have the mention of the microSD so the upcoming phone might not allow storage expansion.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will also include IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. It is said to withstand up to 1.5m and up to 30 minutes. The device will also get a high refresh rate display which may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Besides this, the handset will also support other features like Dolby Atmos, wireless and reverse wireless charging support. The phone may also come with  Wireless DeX and Samsung Pay features.  Also following the footprints of the Apple, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE retail box may not include a charger and will be sold separately. It will also steer clear of the 3.5mm headphone jack. The user may use a USB Type-C adapter or a wireless headphone to connect. In terms of optics, the rear camera module could also feature triple lenses. Out of which may be an ultra-wide-angle sensor, the user manual noted. The Galaxy S21 FE is also expected to arrive in four colour options of Black, Green, Purple, and White. However not much has been revealed in the user manual but a Geekbench listing claims that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Exynos 2100 SoC along with a max clock speed of 2.91GHz paired with 8GB of RAM. While the Google Play Console listing mentioned a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC along with an Adreno 660 GPU and 6GB of RAM. As per the listing, the handset will feature a resolution of 1,080×2,009 pixels. On the other hand, some reports suggest that the phone will sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery and may come in Blue, Grey, Green, Violet, and White colour options. As of now, there is no official announcement nor the company has shared any details so you can take the information with a pinch of salt. Recently Microsoft announced that the free upgrade to Windows 11 will start rolling out from October 5 to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11 will start to become available for purchase. It is said to bring superior graphics, amazing speed, and an incredible selection of games. The Xbox Game Pass for PC will also get access to over 100 high-quality PC games to play on Windows 11 for one low monthly price.  According to Microsoft, so that the games look better than ever Windows 11 will also Auto HDR which will automatically add High Dynamic Range (HDR) enhancements to games built on DirectX 11 or higher than previously only leveraged Standard Dynamic Range (SDR). The support for HDR will render a much wider range of brightness values and colours to give an additional richness and depth to the image. The company has also integrated these features in the Xbox Series X|S consoles and now it is being expanded to Windows 11.
The NVMe SSD and the proper drivers will allow faster loading of new games with the addition of the DirectStorage that was also introduced to the Xbox Velocity Architecture featured in the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. With DirectStorage, which will only be available with Windows 11, games can quickly load assets to the graphics card without bogging down the CPU. Microsoft says that  “DirectStorage Optimized” Windows 11 PCs are configured with the hardware and drivers needed to enable an amazing experience. Along with support for Auto HDR and DirectStorage, the company will continue to expand new hardware advances needed for DirectStorage from new Xbox Wireless Controllers to mechanical keyboards and gaming mice, to the Xbox Adaptive Controller, to surround-sound headsets, external GPUs. In terms of graphics and speed, the company has Xbox Game Pass for PC. Basically, it is a membership that will allow access to a library of over 100 high-quality PC games across genres. The dedicated Xbox app is now built into Windows 11 that gives access to the Game Pass library. Game Pass for PC includes PC games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda the day they launch, an EA Play membership at no additional cost with Game Pass for PC or Ultimate, and a great selection of titles from partner developers big and small with more entering the library all the time. Turn Off Location

This is the best solution to protect your privacy at the core level. The companies usually give the option to turn on/off your GPS location. The other method is by simply heading to the settings of the smartphone and searching for either GPS or Location settings. Microsoft today officially announced the release date of Windows 11. This is the company’s first biggest software update in the last six years, which is going to get launched on October 5. It is going to be available as a free download for users. The rollout of its latest operating system will be accessible to the eligible Windows 10 PCs as well as on the new devices that come preloaded with Windows 11. According to the company, Windows 11 will start rolling out from October 5 and will be rolled out to the eligible Windows PC in a staged manner. As per the company from the date of release, the free upgrade to Windows 11 will begin rolling out to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come preloaded with Windows 11 will start to become available for purchase. Microsoft says that the rollout will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. This means the new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of the device and other factors that impact the upgrade experience.
Windows 11 to be available from October 5, Microsoft confirmed Microsoft is expected to offer a free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022 to all eligible devices. Those who are eligible for the update will be notified through a Windows update when it is accessible for download. You can also check to see if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates. The company stated, “if you’re in need of a new PC now — don’t wait. The whole interface has been redesigned from the new Start Button to sound, font and icons; everything has been refreshed with new placements and new features. The company has already made it clear of the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. The all-new Windows 11 will require 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC). This will include Intel Core, Pentium, Evo chipsets, AMD’s Ryzen chipsets and others. Moreover, this is mandatory for the system to have  4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Whereas Windows 10 should at least have 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. The system should have DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x (Intel, Nvidia, and AMD) with a 9 inch bigger display with an HD resolution of 720P.

Telecom company Reliance Jio today announced new Disney+ Hotstar plans for the users. These plans will be available from September 1 that is tomorrow. The new Jio Disney+ Hotstar plan starts at Rs 499 and goes up to Rs 2,599. In addition to the access to complete content streaming, the prepaid plans also bring along with other benefits like free voice calls, SMS and data.  Reliance Jio has rolled out a new range of prepaid plans for the Disney+ Hotstar subscriptions. This will give access to unrestricted content streaming on the OTT platform. Previously the prepaid plans started at Rs 401 which included a Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription that gave access to services like live sports, Hotstar specials, movies and TV shows and dubbed content. But the new Disney+ Hotstar plans bring access to the entire range of content on the platform. In addition to this, the customers will be able to view international content in English with the new plans which include Disney+ original, TV Shows from Disney and Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, HBO, FX, Showtime, 20th century, Searchlight pictures and more.  The newly launched Disney+ Hotstar plans by Reliance Jio costs  Rs 499, Rs 666, Rs 888, Rs 2,599, and Rs 549. The Rs 499 plan comes with a one-month validity with 3GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS. Similarly, the Rs 666 comes with 56 days of validity and 2GB of daily data, calls and SMS. The Rs 888 and Rs 2,599 prepaid plans come with 84 days and 365 days of validity, similar benefits. Lastly, the Rs 549 plan is a data add-on plan that is only valid for 56 days and includes 1.5GB of data per day. The new plan will be available for recharge from September 1 and all the Jio customers on active Disney+ Hotstar plans will continue to enjoy the existing benefits until their current subscription expires.  “The revision is largely on the back of Disney+ Hotstar revising its plan and offerings in the Indian market. Jio’s new plans, in addition to offering a 1-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar, comes bundled with unlimited voice, data, SMS, Jio Apps and other benefits,” the company stated.
