It would be safe to assume that like Book Store, Apple would soon be breaking out the music, TV & movie and podcast portions of the iTunes store into respective apps too. However, as of now, there isn’t too much information available about them being broken into individual apps. We should add here that the move makes sense on Apple’s part ad iTunes is a very old software, and many of its users are not too fond of it. By breaking it up, Apple would be able to create apps that are not bloated and come with modern designs. And needless to say, a lot of users are really looking forward to this. With this, the technology giant is looking to push code-base Marzipan apps in a big way on macOS. And to begin with, it has chosen one among the clunkiest apps to show developers how much beneficial it can be. It is also worth mentioning that macOS will be put in line with iOS with this move, as the latter has dedicated apps for various purposes for ages now. However, iTunes is not dying so soon. The app will stick around for a while as it is the only way to sync and interact with iPod and other iOS devices.I am now fairly confident based on evidence I don't wish to make public at this point that Apple is planning new (likely UIKit) Music, Podcasts, perhaps even Books, apps for macOS, to join the new TV app. I expect the four to be the next wave of Marzipan apps.
