The Chinese electronics major Xiaomi held its annual Mi Developer Conference (MIDC 2020) in Beijing. At the event, the company announced some of its major development that it is currently working on will soon be soon on its upcoming devices. This includes spanning camera, display, charging, IoT, smart manufacturing, and more. The company has also introduced its latest self-developed, Retractable Wide-aperture Lens Technology at its annual conference that will soon be expanded to its smartphones.Xiaomi at its annual Mi Developer Conference (MIDC 2020) has unveiled retractable wide-aperture lens technology that promises to bring a professional camera like-experience to its upcoming smartphone. The latest technology has been created on a retractable optical structure that is designed to compactly lodge within the smartphone and can extend out when needed. Therefore, this innovation will allow the telescopic camera to have a larger aperture to increase the amount of light input by 300 percent. In addition to this, the technology will also be helpful in enhancing portrait photography and night photography.Xiaomi’s Retractable Wide-aperture Lens Technology will also be integrated with a new image stabilization technology that offers a larger anti-shake angle, making the images more stable, and increasing sharpness by 20 percent.The company says, “Xiaomi will continue to integrate these professional imaging technologies into smartphone photography, bringing professional photography to hundreds of millions of smartphone users around the world, and adding on to Xiaomi’s portfolio of imaging technology breakthroughs.”Apart from this the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 has reportedly been spotted on Geekbench with model number M2012K11C. The listing reveals some of the important details about the alleged smartphone. The device is suggested to be powered by a 1.80 GHz processor that is expected to be Snapdragon 875 SoC which is yet to be announced by Qualcomm. As per Geekbench listing, the alleged phone has scored 1105 points in the single-core test while in the multi-core test it has scored 3512 points. Moreover, it also mentions Android 11 with 6GB of RAM option.On the other hand, a report states that a source code of the benchmark listing confirms that the processor is the upcoming Snapdragon 875. According to the report, the cores clock speeds of both Snapdragon 875 and predecessor 865 are very much identical. Similarly, both the processors also use a tri-cluster design (1+3+4 distribution) in addition to an octa-core setup. But, the implementation of Cortex-X1 and Cortex-A78 CPU cores in Snapdragon 875 will definitely offer better performance than its predecessor Snapdragon 865.Besides the device believed to be Xiaomi Mi 11 is tipped to feature a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 0.8μm pixel size and image stabilisation. After the launch of Xiaomi Mi 10 series, the fans are eagerly waiting to see the much-anticipated Mi 11 handset that is likely to house the soon-to-be-launched Snapdragon 875 SoC. The finding was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform that also highlighted other major details alongwith benchmark scores.
The details on Geekbench benchmarking platform was spotted by DealnTech. It was reported that a Xiaomi device with a codename “M2012K11C” was spotted undergoing the Geekbench benchmark tests. The database further showcased the system information stating that the device runs on Android 11 Operating System and the name of the motherboard is “Haydn”. After observing the Geekbench listing source code, the report notified that the processor of this device is Snapdragon 875.
As far as processor information is concerned, the name mentioned in the Geekbench benchmark tests is ARM Qualcomm along with ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 1 part 3396 revision 0 along with base frequency of 1.80 GHz and 5GB RAM. Furthermore, the report has highlighted that Xiaomi Mi 11 has scored 1105 points in the single-core test. On the other hand, the multi-core test score was 3512 points.
Meanwhile, the Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi has rolled out two new products in the market known as a 20W USB Type-C charger along with Mi Power Bank 3 Pikachu Edition. The company claims that this charger is compatible with the recently-launched iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE. It seems the Xiaomi has introduced this product after Apple revealed that the iPhone 12 series will go on sale without a USB adapter. As far as the cost is concerned, the price of Xiaomi 20W USB Type-C charger in China is CYN 39 (which translates to approx. Rs 400). However, the cost of Mi Power Bank 3 Pikachu Edition is CYN 99 that translates to Rs 1100.
On the specification front, Xiaomi revealed that 20W USB Type-C charger offers 100-240V wide voltage. Interestingly, this device can charge an iPhone 11 to 45 percent in mere 30 minutes. In addition to this, the USB Type-C port on the charger also makes it compatible with iPhone 12 series as it now lacks an in-box USB adapter. This charger weighs just 43.8gram and is convenient to carry because of its small size. Xiaomi further notified that this charger can fully charge the Samsung S10 in just 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 53 minutes is the time to charge iPad Pro. However, Xiaomi 9 Pro smartphone can be charged completely in just 1 hour 3 minutes.

In an official blog post, WhatsApp has asserted, “We’re excited to join India’s campaign to increase the ease and use of digital payments, which is helping expand financial inclusion in India.”
In collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), WhatsApp has designed the payments feature to enable transactions with over 160 supported banks.
All that is required to send money on WhatsApp in India, is to have a bank account and debit card in the country. WhatsApp sends instructions to banks, which are also known as payment service providers, to initiate the transfer of money via UPI between sender and receiver bank accounts. It was revealed that WhatsApp will be working with five leading banks in India: ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India, and Jio Payments Bank. This means that people can send money on WhatsApp to anyone using a UPI supported app. Just like every feature in WhatsApp, payments is designed with a strong set of security and privacy principles, including entering a personal UPI PIN for each payment.
In the times ahead, it is likely that the combination of WhatsApp and UPI’s unique architecture can help local organizations deal with some of the key challenges like increasing rural participation in the digital economy and delivering financial services to those who have never had access before.
Meanwhile, the Facebook-owned instant messaging app has also introduced the option to use disappearing messages to make conversations feel as close to in-person as possible that means they shouldn’t have to stick around forever. According to WhatsApp, “When disappearing messages is turned on, new messages sent to a chat will disappear after 7 days, helping the conversation feel lighter and more private. In a one-to-one chat, either person can turn disappearing messages on or off. In groups, admins will have the control.”
Initially, WhatsApp is starting with 7 days because it believes that it offers peace of mind that conversations aren’t permanent, while remaining practical so that one doesn’t forget what they were chatting about. The shopping list or store address that one receives a few days ago will be there while they need it, and then disappear after they don’t need it anymore.
One can send messages that disappear on WhatsApp by enabling disappearing messages. As per a latest blog, “Once enabled, new messages sent in the individual or group chat will disappear after seven days. The most recent selection controls all messages in the chat. This setting won’t affect messages you previously sent or received in the chat. In an individual chat, either user can turn disappearing messages on or off. In a group chat, only group admins can turn disappearing messages on or off.”

Indian online groceries unicorn Big Basket encountered a major data breach last month in October letting data of around 2 crore users put on sale on the dark web. The data included personal information of the users such as emails, password hashes, contact numbers, addresses and a lot more information. The company was unaware of the major data breach. Only when cyber intelligence firm Cybel informed BigBasket facing a potential data breach. Following this e-commerce platform has filed a police complaint with Cyber Crime Cell in Bengaluru. As per a blog post by cyber intelligence firm, Cybel, Big Basket a leading online food and grocery store in India has been attacked by hackers therefore personal details of over two-crore BigBasket users have been listed on the dark web for sale. The e-commerce website has also filed a complaint with the Bengaluru Cyber Crime Cell.BigBasket said in a statement said, “A few days ago, we learnt about a potential data breach at Big Basket and are evaluating the extent of the breach and authenticity of the claim in consultation with cybersecurity experts and finding immediate ways to contain it. We have also lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell in Bengaluru and intend to pursue this vigorously to bring the culprits to book.”This leak was reported by cyber intelligence firm Cyble, “In the course of our routine Dark web monitoring, the Research team at Cyble found the database of Big Basket for sale in a cyber-crime market, being sold for over $40,000. The leak contains a database portion; with the table name ‘member_member’’ The alleged leak occurred on October 14 and the cyber intelligence firm detected the breach on October 30. The Cyble has already informed the management team of the leak and they are said to currently working towards a disclosure process. The firm also confirmed that detail of users has been compromised which includes full names, email IDs, password hashes (potentially hashed OTPs), pin, contact numbers (mobile + phone), full addresses, date of birth, location, and IP addresses of login among many others. In this regard, Big Basket says that the consumer data includes the user’s email IDs, phone numbers, order details, and addresses so these are the details that could potentially have been accessed. So, keeping the customer’s privacy and credit card numbers, etc confidential it does not store any financial data of the user. The E-commerce claims that all the important data is secured. Currently, Big Basket is providing services in various cities across the county including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Noida, Mysore, Coimbatore, Vijayawada-Guntur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar, Lucknow-Kanpur, Gurgaon, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam, Surat, Nagpur, Patna, Indore and Chandigarh Tricity city.

On opening the box, you will be greeted directly with the earphones case. Other than this you will find manuals and warranty cards and some ear tips of different sizes along with a USB Type C cable. Oppo Enco W11 ships in a pill-shaped glossy white case, which doesn’t look different from the group of other all-black TWS earphones in the market. However, we did like that it attracts fewer smudges, unlike the rest of the pack. We also liked how the earphones don’t just fall off when you open the case. We really shook the unit for them to pop out but they didn’t fall off. The lid of the case is solidly attached and closes with a nice snap. The design of the earbuds themselves is also really great complimenting the case. The earphone really stands out with its premium look and feel. Oppo Enco W11 has a touch-sensitive surface so you can single tap to play or pause and double tap on either earbud to change the tracks and triple press for voice assistant. The volume can be controlled by touching or holding the left or right earbud. The touch functionality works flawlessly while the comfort of them is also great. These are lightweight for the quality of construction they have. Also, we did not face any issue with keeping them on for long periods thanks to the in-ear design. Over that, the earphones form an excellent seal in the ears which doesn’t just cut out background noise (to a certain degree) but also makes the bass sound more prominent.The earphones do not have any LEDs to indicate the battery level but just like other devices, they do have a small LED on the case that indicates the battery level. This lights up whenever the lid is opened or when one removes the earbuds.
Performance
The Oppo Enco W11 connects with any device with Bluetooth 5.0 or lower. After first connect, these easily connect to your phone by just opening the lid of the case and not after you take them out of the case. This means by the time you wear them, they will be already connected to your phone. You should also know that the Enco W11 is IP55 rated for water and dust ingress protection. This means they can handle more than just a splash of water and this rating is also better than its competition. This also makes them more durable. You also get wear detection with the buds that work just as well.Speaking of the battery life, the earphones deliver 5 hours of playback and with the case, you can play them for up to 20 hours. That is great especially considering the size and weight of the case. Before we talk more about the audio quality, let’s talk about specs first. Specs-wise these earphones come with a pair of 8mm dynamic drivers inside each earpiece with AAC support and SBC codecs. These also connect with compatible devices via Bluetooth 5.0. We recently reviewed Vivo TWS New true wireless earphones which are priced at Rs 5,990 and on comparing them with Oppo Enco W11 we loved the sound on the Oppo. The bass is just perfectly balanced on the Oppo earphones and it does not bleed into a higher frequency range. Moreover, the mids on these are also perfect and the vocals on them sound good too, both while watching movies and listening to music. Highs are a little prominent so there is a slight boost to them that is good in a way as it is not harsh on the ears. So you will never feel you are getting a compromised sound. Also, the bigger ear tips fit well therefore enhancing the whole experience. Oppo does not have a dedicated companion app where you can tweak a few things like equaliser as per your liking. Also, one more thing that the earphones lack is lower latency so if you are into gaming these will not be the best for you.
Verdict
Overall, we are extremely impressed with these TWS earbuds both in features and in the sound department. Moreover, they are perfect for people looking to get TWS at a lesser price. Even the audiophiles who have a more refined taste in sound would not be disappointed with the Oppo Enco W11.

With rumour mills doing round that OnePlus 9 series smartphone is likely to hit the stores somewhere in March 2021, now another report has revealed details regarding the model numbers of this much-anticipated device alongside some major specifications. This hints that OnePlus 9 series is likely to offer more than three variants.
If we believe this report by TechDroider to be true, OnePlus 9 series is expected to offer of three models. The report is based on a post shared on the Chinese social networking platform Weibo.
Earlier, tipster Max Jambor had tweeted that the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are codenamed ‘Lemonade’. And now this latest report has revealed that while the codename of OnePlus 9 is LE2110, the codenames of the OnePlus 9 Pro are dubbed as LE2117, LE2119, and LE2120. However, there is one mysterious device too with a codename: LE2127. Only time will solve the riddle of what would be the name of next three variants of this device.
Up until now, numerous leaks and reports have hinted that OnePlus 9 series is likely to run Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 along with AMOLED display. It will further be fitted with a center-punch screen and support 144Hz screen refresh rate. Besides this, the device is also expected to offer IP68 waterproof, NFC, dual stereo and other configurations. Mind you! The smartphone maker also added that with the help of OnePlus fans, the company has been able to better optimize and improve several key areas. Furthermore, OnePlus added that if the users have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta), they will receive this new build as an OTA.
In case the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro users are not running open beta software and would like to, one can refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM on the downloads page. Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs. Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash.

As we are inching closer to the launch of the PlayStation 5 console on November 12, Sony has now confirmed that all day-of launch sales will be conducted through the online stores of the retail partners in the interest of keeping the gamers, retailers, and staff safe amidst COVID-19.
According to Sid Shuman, Senior Director, SIE Content Communications, “No units will be available in-store for purchase on launch day (November 12 or November 19, depending on your region) – please don’t plan on camping out or lining up at your local retailer on launch day in hopes of finding a PS5 console for purchase. Be safe, stay home, and place your order online.”
Furthermore, it was revealed that gamers who have pre-ordered for pick-up at their local retailer should still be able to do so at their designated appointment time, under the retailer’s safety protocols. Mind you! All one needs to do is confirm the details with their local retailer.
As per the company, the PlayStation 5 will be available at a price of Rs 49,990. On the other hand, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition price in India has been set at Rs 39,990. Both the devices will be available via e-commerce website Amazon and Flipkart and the sale date is yet to be announced by the company.
In addition to this, the company has also unveiled the price of accessories as well as gaming software that were introduced during the global launch. The DualSense Wireless Controller will be available at Rs 5,999, HD camera at Rs 5,190, PULSE 3D Wireless Headset at Rs 8,590, Media Remote will cost Rs 2,590 and the DualSense Charging Station will be available at Rs 2,590.

AMD had launched its Ryzen 5000 series processors for desktops. This series is the company’s first chipset based on next-gen Zen 3 architecture for better performance. The music streaming app Spotify is now gearing up to bring subscription podcasts to its platform. This service will let the users access original content by paying a monthly subscription. For this, the company has begun conducting surveys to know the user’s response. The Spotify subscription podcast service has been spotted by Variety’s Andrew Wallenstein.According to Andrew Wallenstein, the president of Variety’s Intelligence Platform Spotify is planning to launch four subscription podcast plans, starting from $3 to $8 per month. He took to Twitter to share the information that music streaming platform has also started sending out surveys to share their thoughts on the upcoming Spotify subscription podcast service.As per a report by the Verge the most expensive plan would include access to “high-quality original content,” early access to some episodes, and no platform-inserted ads. All of these plans will not include access to Spotify’s premium music subscription.“At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of surveys in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those end up paying the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learnings,” the spokesperson said. “We have no further news to share on future plans at this time” the company through the survey hinted at this survey to be taken as concrete product plans. This means it is not yet confirmed that Spotify will launch the subscription podcast service and it might also consider launching some sort of subscription podcast plans as reported by the publisher.Apart from this the company recently confirmed that Spotify can now be streamed directly on Apple Watch. So now users will be able to stream music or podcasts on Apple Watch without having to connect to an iPhone. To recall the company was spotted testing the feature in September and now it is being expanded directly to all the users. However, this feature will not be available for offline listening as the Apple Watch still lacks the option of offline listening.With the rollout of the service the users are allowed to access their music library via Wi-Fi or cellular network using the Spotify app on Apple Watch and can listen through Bluetooth devices.

The earphones do not have any LEDs to indicate the battery level but just like other devices, they do have a small LED on the case that indicates the battery level. This lights up whenever the lid is opened or when one removes the earbuds.
Speaking of the battery life, the earphones deliver 5 hours of playback and with the case, you can play them for up to 20 hours. That is great especially considering the size and weight of the case. Highs are a little prominent so there is a slight boost to them that is good in a way as it is not harsh on the ears. So you will never feel you are getting a compromised sound. Oppo does not have a dedicated companion app where you can tweak a few things like equaliser as per your liking. Also, one more thing that the earphones lack is lower latency so if you are into gaming these will not be the best for you.
