With water and dust resistance smartphones gaining popularity, a new leak has revealed that OnePlus 9 Pro will soon join the bandwagon. It has been tipped that this soon-to-be-launched handset will come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
As per leakster Max Jambor, the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone will showcase an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. On the other hand, the standard model as well as OnePlus 9E will not be equipped with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
If reports are to be believed, OnePlus 9 Pro is likely to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. Running on Android 11 OS, this smartphone is expected to feature 8GB RAM along with a storage capacity of up to 256GB. With 120Hz refresh rate, OnePlus 9 Pro will house a 6.67-inch AMOLED QHD+ display. On the camera front, it has been hinted that the device will house a quad-camera set-up that will comprise of two large sensors along with two standard lenses.
On the contrary, OnePlus 9 smartphone will run Android 11 OS along with Snapdragon 888 SoC. With 65W fast-charging support, this handset offers an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display along with triple camera setup.
Another report had highlight about CAD render stating that this soon-to-be launch device is likely to house a triple camera setup as well as punch hole design. According to 91mobiles, which has secured exclusive CAD render: It is believed that OnePlus 9 smartphone will carry a left-aligned hole-punch design in line with OnePlus 8T. Not only this, there will also be a triple camera setup located at the back panel. Mind you! This triple camera setup will be supported by LED flash.
Earlier, tipster Max Jambor had tweeted that the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are codenamed ‘Lemonade’. And now another report has revealed details regarding the model numbers of this much-anticipated device alongside some major specifications. This hints that OnePlus 9 series is likely to offer more than three variants. It was further revealed that the codename of OnePlus 9 is LE2110, the codenames of the OnePlus 9 Pro are dubbed as LE2117, LE2119, and LE2120. However, there is one mysterious device too with a codename: LE2127. Only time will solve the riddle of what would be the name of next three variants of this device.

As we are inching closer to the launch Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy S21 series in January next year, rumour mills constant churning one leak after another. And now, a latest leak has revealed details about the promo reels for the retail launch of the Galaxy S21 series.
According to Android Police, Samsung Galaxy S21 5G’s promo reel showcased the device in Phantom Violet colour. The upcoming handset is expected to offer a flat display along with centered hole-punch camera as well as minimal front bezel.
The report further added that the Galaxy S21 5G features a triple camera module that houses a 12MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide along with 64MP telephoto cameras. Additionally, Max Weinbach has notified that this Samsung smartphone has housed the flash off on the right side of the device.
However, Samsung has reportedly introduced design changes in its Galaxy S21 Ultra device that offers a curved screen rather than a flat display that is expected to appear with the launch of Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. On the camera front, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is hinted to carry a quad-camera module as against the triple camera setup that is likely to be fitted on the S21 and S21+. The report notified that “We can see a single periscope cam with 10MP 10x super-telephoto zoom, alongside the 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP 3x telephoto cameras. There’s also a laser autofocus system at the top, replacing the TOF sensor of the S20 Ultra.”
If news reports are to be believed, Samsung Unpacked is expected to be held on January 14.

Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 is being held in India virtually all thanks to COVID-19. During the online tech conference Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani during his keynote promised to bring 5G networks to the country by next year. He also stressed upon the need for the 5G connectivity which is expected to be rolled by the second half of 2021 by the Indian telecom company.Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani today announced at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 that their company will bring 5G connectivity support for better network coverage and connectivity. According to him, Reliance Jio will be using indigenous-developed network, hardware and technology components to bring 5G support to the new smartphones. During the conference, he also stressed to accelerate the early rollout of 5G, and to make it affordable and available everywhere. He also assures that Jio will pioneer the 5G Revolution in India in the second half of 2021. The company will work with other companies such as Qualcomm and Samsung to bring 5G in India. To recall during the Qualcomm 5G Summit that was held in October this year he declared that the company’s 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) is under works. In his speech, he said, “As many as 300 million mobile subscribers in India are still trapped in the 2G era. Urgent policy steps are needed to ensure that these underprivileged people have an affordable smartphone.” He also added that Jio Platforms, with its family of over 20 start-up partners, has built world-class capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Blockchain, etc. We are creating compelling home-grown solutions in Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Financial Services and New Commerce. Each of these solutions, once proven in India, will be offered to the rest of the world to address global challenges.”Apart from this, the company is also working with the Search giant Google to release its 4G Android smartphone which is speculated to come around Q1 of 2021 to be priced under Rs 4,000. Truecaller has now released the findings from their annual Truecaller Insights Report that listed the Top 20 Countries Affected by Spam Calls in 2020. This is the fourth edition of the report wherein there has been a significant shift in the ranking of countries that received the most spam calls. According to the report, India has dropped down to 9th position in terms of number of spam calls received by users globally, while Brazil continues to stay on top.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Truecaller report has shown that not only has the pandemic affected communication behaviour but also spam patterns around the world. However, spam calls received by users in India reduced by 34 percent. India still makes it into the top 10 most spammed countries despite a reduction in the amount of spam calls received.
The Trucaller report further highlighted that 98.5 percent of all spam calls in India originate from domestic numbers that could partly explain why spam calls have been decreasing in India, as strict curfews implemented in the country earlier this year made it impossible for telemarketers to go to work, or utilise the equipment they need to carry out large scale spam campaigns.
Furthermore, the Truecaller report mentioned the first three months of lockdown in India saw calls to emergency services increase by 148 percent. With regard to spam call categorisation, operators continue to be the top spammers in India with 52 percent user calls received for the upselling of various offers and reminders. However, the study also witnessed telemarketing services emerging as big spammers, recording a total of 34 percent.
Gujarat emerged as the state that received the most spam calls in 2020, followed closely by Maharashtra. In the report, Truecaller revealed that spam reached its lowest point in April when strict curfews and lockdowns were implemented worldwide. The overall volume of calls also dipped during this period. However, from this point, reports of scammers taking advantage of the uncertainty around the pandemic emerged. In May, spam calls started to pick up again and have been increasing on average by 9.7 percent per month.
An escalation of scam calls and robocalls around the world is expanding their share within the most common spam categories. Scammers taking advantage of the pandemic is a primary reason for the increase of scam calls. Another devastating fact related to India, is that 8 out of 10 women in India receive sexual harassment or inappropriate calls and SMS regularly.

As Google regularly keeps updating Pixel features in order to make the phone experience much better. The tech giant has revealed that Pixel owners will get to experience the December update along with a few new surprises.
According Harrison Lingren, Technical Program Manager, Pixel, “Many of the new features launched with the Pixel 5 are now rolling out to Pixel 3 and newer devices. That includes Hold for Me, which helps save you time when you’re put on hold by a business. Available for Pixel owners in the U.S. in English, Google Assistant waits on the line for you and lets you know when someone’s ready to talk. We’ve found that when Hold for Me is enabled, it saves eight minutes per call on average.”
Besides this, Extreme Battery Saver is another helpful feature that has been introduced to previous Pixel devices. Once this feature is turned on, it allows the Pixel device to automatically limit some apps and only run the essentials so that the battery lasts as long as possible.
Moreover, friends and families can share in the joy of watching the same video, cheer on live sports together and plan activities—even when they’re far apart. Apart from already existing Duo screen sharing in one-to-one calls, screen sharing is now becoming available in group calls so long as the users utilize Wi-FI or a 5G connection.
Furthermore, Google is also rolling out new suggestions comprising a feature known as Dynamic that boost brightness, contrast and color, and a set of sky suggestions to help one create stunning sunset and sunrise images in just one tap.
In a blog post, the tech giant also notified, “Google devices are most helpful when they seamlessly assist you throughout the day—wherever you are. We call this ambient computing, and it drives our approach to how Pixel should adapt to your needs in real time.”
In addition to the above-listed features, the GPS on Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) is now more accurate when the user is on foot. This means the rideshare service can find you more easily, and there’s no more guessing which side of the street one needs to be on when they’re walking somewhere. Mind you! This particular feature is not available at launch in all countries or locations, and requires an internet connection and Android 8.0 or later.
The Pixel can also now detect if a user is viewing a website or app in a different language and translate it using Google Lens. All that needs to be done is just take a screenshot or swipe into App Overview, and tap the Lens chip to see the translation.

Adaptive Charging helps preserve battery health over time by dynamically controlling how quickly a Pixel device charges. Just plug in your phone in the evening, set an alarm and the Adaptive Charging will work its magic. Also, the new Adaptive Connectivity feature helps you get the most out of your battery by automatically switching from 5G to 4G based on the app you’re using. It’ll choose 4G for things like browsing the web or sending texts, and switch to 5G when you’re watching movies or downloading large files.
Now, one can personalize their home screen with new icons, grid views and app shapes, or even choose custom wallpapers of famous artworks provided by cultural institutions from around the world on Google Arts & Culture (wallpapers coming soon directly into the wallpaper categories in settings).

Amazon Prime Video has now introduced its Watch Party feature to its fans in India. Watch Parties are available on desktop browsers, except Apple’s Safari. Xiaomi backed company Huami has announced to launch its flagship Amazfit GT 2 series in India soon. The lineup includes three wearables GTR2, GTS2 and GTS 2 mini. The Amazfit GTR2 is now confirmed to arrive in India on December 17 and the other two devices will follow the launch sometime later this month. Nokia brand licensee HMD Global recently introduced Nokia 2.4 as its budget smartphone with dual comers in India. Now the company is planning to bring its next device that is Nokia 3.4 to the country soon, a report suggests. The company is expected to introduce it by mid-December. The device features an HD+ display, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a Nordic colour palette. In addition to this, it has triple rear cameras and sports a hole-punch display design to house a selfie camera According to a report by NokiaPowerUser, Nokia 3.4 is likely to launch in India by mid-December. According to the website the device is expected to be priced at somewhere around Rs 11,999 for the 3GB RAM model. The device is also said to come in multiple storage options and will be up for pre-orders by the end of this month.However there is no official confirmation from the company’s side but the colour variants are also going to be the same as the international variant that includes Charcoal, Dusk, and Fjord. To recall the Nokia 3.4 was introduced in September this year alongside Nokia 2.4 which has already entered the Indian market. The device was introduced at EUR 159 that translates to Rs 14,227.
