After launching Motorola One Fusion+ smartphone in European market, the tech company is now gearing up to rollout the device in India on June 16th. For this, Motorola has finally teased its mid-range One Fusion+ handset on its exclusive launching platform Flipkart.

In a Twitter post, Motorola India stated, “#TheUltimateOne is coming to give you an incredible edge to edge entertainment experience! Get ready for a 6.5″ FHD+ Display with HDR10 Certification on the all-new Motorola One Fusion+. Unveiling on 16th June on @Flipkart.”

Motorola One Fusion+, which seems to be successor of Motorola One Hyper as the display is almost similar, has a 6.5-inch display FHD+ resolution along with an IPS LCD panel. The One Fusion+ carries a glossy finish polycarbonate chaises. From the launch in European market, we get to know that this budget-friendly smartphone will be made available in Twilight Blue and Moonlight White colour options.

As far as camera is concerned, Motorola One Fusion+ will carry quad rear cameras that supports 4K video recording along with an integrated fingerprint scanner. It comprises of:

  1. A 64MP primary camera
  2. An 8MP ultra-wide angle camera
  3. A 5MP macro camera
  4. A2MP depth camera

Besides these, Motorola One Fusion+ is also embedded with the ultra-wide and macro sensors to give you an experience of RAW photography. In addition, this smartphone comes with the selfie pop-up camera on the top along with a 16MP sensor.

With the penetration of remote learning owing to the increasingly adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic, people resorted to using platforms like Microsoft Teams to work and learn remotely. With a sharp surge in total video calls in Teams, Microsoft got inspired to introduce some new features that will help the users to customize their video experiences and make meetings more productive, comfortable, and fun. In what seems to be a step to take on Zoom Meeting, Microsoft has finally rolled out of new custom background effects along with other new features in the free version of Teams.

Microsoft Teams custom background effects will help everyone preserve privacy and keep their attention on their teammates. According to Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365, “Our design team also created a collection of preset images that range from professional (a modern office) to pretty silly (a cartoonish beach scene). Today, we’re expanding these options so you can customize your background by uploading your own images or choosing one of the collections of backgrounds now available online.”

For this, Microsoft Teams has used a highly-trained model that differentiates the subject from their background and can impose a custom background over everything else. As per the tech major, the introduction of custom background effects enables users to easily express themselves in all the virtual meetings.

With so many people moving suddenly to remote work, Microsoft is also bringing several new features to the free version of Teams as well. This includes options to pre-schedule your meetings and turning on live caption while the meeting is on.

As far as option to schedule meetings in is concerned, Microsoft stated that the users of free version of Team are now able to schedule meetings and send out invitations in advance. This capability builds upon the existing ability to “Meet Now.” Meeting schedulers have the option of either copying the meeting link to send directly to other participants or sending an invite via Outlook or Google calendar.

Microsoft further notified that this much-requested capability to schedule meetings on Teams is being introduced to current user, while users who are just signing up now will be able to experience it soon. Moreover, the tech major also clarified that there is no time limit on meetings in the free version of Teams as of now.

Now, moving on to usage of live captions, Microsoft Teams free users can now turn on live captions during their calls and meetings. “This feature makes meetings more inclusive, giving participants another way to follow along with the conversation and address the needs of participants with different hearing abilities or language proficiencies. It’s currently available as a preview in the US English,” said Spataro.

In addition to these features, the free version of Teams also provides all types of organizations up to 500,000 users with options to unlimited chat and search, audio and video calling, scheduled meetings, 10GB team file storage and 2GB personal file storage per person, ability to use the Office web apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote), unlimited app integration and much more. Mind you! It’s all backed by Microsoft’s secure, global infrastructure.

With the COVID-19 spreading across the globe, in-person classes as well as graduation ceremonies started taking place virtually. Now, Google has also devised a plan B for soon-to-be interns by ensuring them that its summer internship program would take place virtually with the help of open source for the first time ever since 1999.

However, an official blog post clarified that what it means to be an intern at Google hasn’t changed with introduction if this first-time-ever summer internship program. The tech giant further added that it wants the interns to have fun and make an impact on products that people use every day. At the same time, it accepted that these interns won’t have the benefit of working next to experienced Googlers in a traditional office environment, which in turn impacts the kinds of projects they can work on.

According to Eric Brewer, VP Infrastructure and Google Fellow, “This year, many technical internships will focus on open source projects. Open source is a model that makes a product’s underlying code available for anyone to work on, so even though interns didn’t have access to certain technical resources in a Google office, they could still contribute to meaningful projects. Google has long been a big contributor to open source, and projects like Android and Chromium are now widely adopted around the world.”

Stating that the tech giant has released thousands of open source projects since more than last 20 years, the Google blog post stated, “Open source has always been about finding ways for people to build better things by working together, regardless of location. So it became a perfect fit for many of our remote, globally dispersed interns.” Mind you! Nearly 2,600 open source projects by Google are still active.

As soon as the announcement was made, “thousands of interns have joined us from their homes in 43 countries around the world,” added Brewer.

At the same time, Google notified that it needs actual projects as well as Googlers who could host the interns and manage the projects. The California-based tech company added after a call for project proposals, Google received about 200 submissions that led to more than 1,000 potential projects for interns.

Apart from contributing to Google-created projects like TensorFlow, Kubernetes, Istio, Chromium, Apache Beam, and OSS-Fuzz, Google revealed that the interns will also handle projects to support COVID-19 response efforts, including integrating COVID-19 data into the Data Commons and contributing to the COVID-19 Severity project.

Stating that this summer internship program are only for a period of three months, Google is looking forward to seeing how these projects will progress with the help of its interns. At the same time, it also hopes that this program will spark an interest to become lifelong contributors to open source.

While interns will get a chance to work virtually with Google, they will miss on add-ons like enjoying free food, leveraging games room and also riding on amazingly-colourful Mountain View’s campus bikes.

Sony states Grand Theft Auto (GTA) coming to PS5

With the announcement that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) will be coming to PS5 owing to the close partnership between SIE and Rockstar Games, it was notified that enhanced and expanded versions of GTA V and GTA Online will be made available in the second half of 2021.

Moreover, a new standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be made available, with access to all PS5 owners for free within the first three months of the title launching. Once the entitlement is claimed, the game is theirs to keep. Sony also informed the PS5 fans that with a PlayStation Plus membership, they’ll be able to play GTA Online as much as they want.

Motorola teases One Fusion+ India launch, to arrive in the country soon

The Lenovo owned company Motorola this week launched its much anticipated Motorola One Fusion+ smartphone globally in the European market. Without further delay, the company has now teased the arrival of the smartphone into the Indian market. This device features a pop-up selfie camera. Moreover, there is a 5,000mAh battery and quad cameras that include a 64-megapixel primary sensor and is powered by a Snapdragon 730 processor.

The company took to Twitter to tease that soon the company will launch a new ‘One series’ device in the country. Motorola has shared an image showcasing just the outline of the handset. The only thing which the company revealed is the pop-up selfie camera which is located at the top left corner of the smartphone and a text written over its reads, “the Ultimate One is coming”. This confirms the arrival of the company’s latest device with a pop-up selfie camera is the Motorola One Fusion+ hitting the stores soon.

In the European market, the price of the Motorola Fusion+ has been set at EUR 299 that translates to Rs 25,400 for the single 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option. The device will be available in Twilight Blue and Moonlight White colour options.

While on the front there is a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and it supports face unlock feature which rises up to if the fingerprint is not used to unlock the device.

It packs a 5,000mAh battery 15W fast charging support that is claimed to deliver up to two days of battery life. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port and Bluetooth v5. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Today the Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has announced the launch of its latest devices in India. The company Oppo A52 and Oppo Enco W11 True wireless headphones in the country. Prior to its launch in the Indian market, both the products were first released in China The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC a hole-punch design display, quad rear cameras, and a large 5,000mAh battery.

Oppo A52 has been launched in a single variant 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage option with a price tag of Rs 16,990. It will be available in two colour options Twilight Black and Stream White. The device is scheduled to go on sale in India via online and offline channels starting June 17. The company is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of Oppo Enco W11. According to the company soon A52 smartphone will be made available in 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage models.

On Thursday night Sony launched the latest iteration to its gaming console- PlayStation 5 globally. Earlier the event was scheduled to take place on June 4 but was again rescheduled for June 11. Now after so many speculations the company has unveiled two new variants of the gaming console PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. Additionally, 26 new games will also make their debut with the arrival of the gaming device. The Sony PS5 is going to take on Microsoft’s Xbox Series X that is expected to launch later this year.

Sony will be offering two PlayStation 5 systems: a PS5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PS5 Digital Edition without a disc drive.

According to the company, “The PS5 gameplay experience will be the same, so the choice is all yours. While there are some slight differences in the look of each model, for the overall design, we wanted to deliver a console that’s bold, stunning, and unlike any previous generation of PlayStation,”

The gaming experiences on both the devices are the same however there will be a slight change in the design of each model. The PlayStation 5 will be donning a black and white themed vertical design. The two surfaces of the console is white while the inner part is all black. There is going to be a USB-C port on the front and blue LED lights. In addition to this the company has also launched a slew of accessories alongside the two consoles. A Pulse 3D wireless headset, an HD camera, a media remote, and a charging dock for the DualSense controller has been released.

The gaming console will be coming with improved haptic feedback on the controller along with inbuilt sensors, 3D audio and much more.

While on the software front there will be a lineup of games that will define PS5 when it launches this holiday. In total the company will be serving nine titles that will include:

  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart 
  • Demon’s Souls

COVID-19 crisis: Know how Google helps you find local coronavirus testing centre

With India reportedly becoming the fourth worst affected country in the world as the number of coronavirus cases have reached a total of 297,535, many experts agree that widespread testing is a key tool in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Google India has announced that it is working with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and MyGov to help people find local COVID-19 testing centres on Google Search, Assistant, and Maps.

A latest blog post by the tech giant revealed that Google users will now see a ‘Testing’ tab on the results page while making a COVID-related search (eg. “coronavirus testing”). This ‘Testing’ tab will provide a list of nearby testing labs along with key information and guidance needed before using their services. It also shows a pop-up for government-mandated requirements at each of the COVID-19 test centres, like:

  • Calling the national or state helplines before heading out to get tested
  • Carrying a doctor’s prescription (referral required)
  • Testing restrictions (tests are limited to certain patients)
  • Information about whether the lab is government- or private-run.

If a user is searching for keywords like “COVID-19 testing” or “coronavirus testing” on Google Maps, he/she will see a list of nearby testing labs, with a link to Google Search for the government-mandated requirements.

Stating that this experience is designed to help people find authorized testing centres near them, Jayant Baliga, Product Manager, Google Maps, said, “it’s important to follow the recommended guidelines that help determine testing eligibility before visiting. Tapping the ‘Learn more’ link leads to authoritative information from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.”

Up until now, Google India integrated over 700 testing labs on Search, Assistant, and Maps spanning more than 300 cities. “We continue to work with ICMR as we surface more labs across the country. This experience is available in English and in eight Indian languages — Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati. We hope these new experiences play a part in helping people as well as healthcare workers as we collectively work toward overcoming this pandemic,” added Baliga.

With the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous news reports have talked about a spike in the cases of online child abuse. No doubt, child exploitation is a problem across social media, messaging services, cloud services as well as gaming platforms. Now, Facebook has joined Google, Microsoft and 15 other tech companies to announce the formation of “Project Protect: A plan to combat online child sexual abuse”.

“Project Protect brings together the brightest minds from across the tech industry to tackle a grave issue that no one company can solve on its own – child exploitation and abuse. Facebook is proud to help lead this initiative that we hope will lead to real changes that keep children safe,” said Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO.

In order to fight this sexual abuse and protect kids online, Antigone Davis, Facebook Global Head of Safety, said, the social-networking giant uses “sophisticated technology and behavioural signals not only to prevent, detect and remove images and videos that exploit children, but also to detect and prevent grooming, or potentially inappropriate interactions between a minor and an adult. And we use this technology across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. But any industry-wide problem requires solutions broader than just one company – we need a robust international effort to combat this problem.”

In an official blog post, Facebook revealed that Project Protect will focus on five major areas:

In order to support the cross-industry approach, Project Protect will accelerating the development and usage of ground-breaking technology powered by a multi-million dollar innovation fund

  1. Create a holistic approach

Project Protect will convene tech companies, governments and civil society to undertake collective action to tackle this issue of online child abuse

Funding research with the End Violence Against Children Partnership to advance our collective understanding of the experiences and patterns of child sexual exploitation and abuse online, and learn from effective efforts to prevent, deter and combat it

  1. Information, expertise and knowledge sharing

Continue to facilitate high-impact information, Project Protect will felicitate expertise and knowledge sharing among companies to help prevent and disrupt child sexual exploitation and abuse online

  1. Transparency and accountability

Increasing accountability and consistency across the industry through meaningful reporting of child sexual exploitation and abuse content across member platforms and services. This will be done in conjunction with WePROTECT Global Alliance.

After recently hosting its fifth child safety hackathon, Facebook committed to help fund the Internet Watch Foundation’s initiative for young people to confidentially report self-generated sexual images of minors. The Mark Zuckerberg-led social networking platform has also taken steps across our apps to make the broader internet safer for children. According to Facebook, “This includes running PhotoDNA on links shared on all our apps from other Internet sites and their associated content to detect known child exploitation housed elsewhere on the Internet.”

Stating that Facebook continues to innovate and use best-in-class technology to prevent abuse, the blog revealed that last month the social-networking giant had introduced a new safety feature in Messenger that provides tips for spotting suspicious activity, encourages people under the age of 18 to be cautious when interacting with an adult they may not know, and empowers them to block or ignore someone when something doesn’t seem right.

The Japanese electronics major Sony today announced the launch of its latest noise-cancelling headphones at affordable pricing. The company has introduced Sony WH-CH710N wireless active noise-cancelling headphones in India. Prior to its launch in the country, Sony launched the headphones globally in April this year. These headphones are an upgrade over its predecessor WH-CH700N wireless noise-cancelling headphones that arrived in the market in the year 2018. It can deliver up to 35 hours of battery life and a 30mm driver unit.

The company said, “Sony India today announced the launch of wireless noise-cancelling headphones, WH-CH710N providing the perfect hassle-free experience for life on-the-go. The Taiwanese company has been doing well in India and has been coming up with new laptops as well as PCs in the market with the latest tech and features. Recently it launched Swift 2 and Aspire Gaming laptops in the county and today Acer has announced the launch of its new laptops in India powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors. The company has released the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop in multiple configurations with a high refresh rate. It will be available in 15-inch and 17-inch screen sizes.

Speaking on this occasion, Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO & Consumer Business Head, Acer India said, “In order to stay ahead with the increasing demand for gaming PC’s in India, Acer is excited to introduce our first 10th Gen Intel Core gaming laptop designed for both core and casual Indian gaming enthusiasts. The new range is built with an emphasis on strong performance, responsiveness, and intelligent design. We are confident to continue to offer the best experience with innovation and outstanding features for gaming fanatics.”

According to the company, Nitro 5 is available at a starting price from Rs 72990 on Acer E-store as well as authorized e-commerce and retail outlets.

In terms of specifications, Acer Nitro 5 laptop will be available in two 15-inch and 17-inch screen sizes with Full HD IPS display. The screen panel offers 80 percent screen-to-body ratio 1,920×1,080 pixels of resolution and 144Hz of refresh rate along with low-latency response time of 3ms. It draws its power from up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 H-series mobile processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPUs for graphics.  It comes with dual M.2 supporting PCIe SSD in RAID 0 technology and up to 32GB DDR4 RAM using two soDIMM modules with a hard disk drive for mass storage.

The Nitro 5 has a keyboard with backlit and  4-zone RGB lighting. There is a dedicated NitroSense Key. WASD and arrow keys are also highlighted for quick location while the key response is immediate with a 1.6mm travel distance.

In addition to this, there are twin fans, Acer CoolBoost technology, and quad exhaust port design, therefore, mounting the fan speed by 10% and CPU/GPU cooling by 9% compared to auto mode. According to the company, the users will be able to monitor and manage the Nitro 5 with NitroSense, accessible with one touch of the NitroSense hotkey, covering temperatures, fan speeds, and more. As for the connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MU-MIMO technology, an array of ports such as HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C 3.2 standard with Gen 2 along with an Ethernet port. The Acer gaming laptop is touted to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life along with smooth HD streaming video, and interrupt-free voice and video chats

Xiaomi today launched its first Mi laptops in India. The company has introduced Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition powered by the latest 10th-generation Intel Core processors. Both the devices have made its global debut via an online launch event. The Mi laptops are going to take on HP, Lenovo, Acer as well as Dell devices in the country that comes with a bezel-less design display and the latest chipset.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook will be available in multiple configurations. The base  256GB SSD variant has been launched at Rs 41,999 whereas the 512GB SSD model price has been set at Rs 44,999. Whereas, the top variant with Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU is priced at Rs 47,999. Here we would like to mention that these are introductory prices that will be valid till July 16.

Next, the Mi Notebook Horizon Edition will be available in two models  Intel Core i5  and Intel Core i7 priced at Rs 54,999 and Rs 59,999 respectively. All the devices are scheduled to go on sale via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studios starting June 17. Customers buying the Mi laptops can avail an instant discount of Rs 2,000 if the transaction is made using HDFC Bank credit and debit card. Moreover, the no-cost EMI options for up to nine months will also be available on the purchase.

Mi Notebook 14 will run on Windows 10 Home Edition. It is going to feature a 14-inch full-HD display with 1,920×1,080 pixels of resolution. The Mi laptop will be powered by 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor coupled with Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU for graphics. It will be available with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SATA SSD.  The laptop can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. It comes with a 65W fast charging support.

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is the top model from the series powered by 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10210U and Intel Core i7-10510U processor to choose from. It will be available with Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of NVMe M2 SSD. It comes with a 14-inch full-HD anti-glare IPS display with 1,920×1,080 pixels. Along with a 178-degree viewing angle, it offers 60Hz of refresh rate screen and 91 percent of screen-to-body ratio. It comes integrated with Windows 10 Home Edition.

However, the device features a 14-inch display but it is claimed to offer a 13.3-inch screen because of the reason that it has a 3mm thin bezels. Unlike the entry-level Mi Notebook, it comes with an inbuilt webcam.

What’s more, it is supported by stereo speakers powered by DTS Audio tech and comes pre-installed with Mi Blaze Unlock and Mi Quickshare. The laptop is touted to offer 10 hours of battery life on a single charge with the help of a 46Wh battery supported by a 65W charger.

The Chinese brand Xiaomi is all set to enter into the PCs industry in India with the launch of  Mi Notebook and Mi Notebook Horizon Edition today. The company has planned to host an online launch event to unveil the devices in the country. These two laptops are going to be the company’s  first laptops to arrive in India by Xiaomi. However, the company already offers a range of devices under its sub-brand Redmi popularly known as RedmiBook. The rumours suggest that the upcoming Mi Notebook is going to be a rebranded variant of RedmiBook 13 that was launched last year. But the company CEO says that they have designed the laptops keeping mind the demands of the India consumers and will be India exclusive only.

Xiaomi is going to host an online launch event to introduce  Mi Notebook and Mi Notebook Horizon Edition today. The launch event will be live-streamed via the company official YouTube channel and across all its social media channels. The Livestream will begin today at 12 noon onwards.

As per the official teasers, Mi Notebook is confirmed to offer 12 hours of battery life on a single charge. In addition to this, it will be going to come with the highest screen to body ratio in the laptop category. The Mi laptop is expected to be powered by the latest 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor.

As we mentioned earlier there might be many similarities in the specifications of the Mi Notebook with the RedmiBook 13.  The upcoming laptop is expected to get 1C fast charging tech support which is capable of charging the laptop from zero to 50 percent in 35 minutes. Moreover, it is expected to feature a 13.3-inch Full HD anti-glare display with narrow 4.65mm bezels offering 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution with 178-degree wide-viewing angle and 250 nits maximum brightness.

At the same event, the company will also introduce Mi Notebook Horizon Edition. It is expected to come with a  bezel-less 14-inch full-HD display. The laptop is suggested to come with a 10th gen Intel Core i7 processor. It is said to get supported by SSD storage and DTS Audio.

The first Android 11 beta update now available for Pixel 2 and newer devices

At last, Google has finally launched its latest operating system which is Android 11. At the moment only the beta version of OS has been released for the Pixel users. The company has called off its Google IO 2020 due to coronavirus and the launch was scheduled for June 3. But due to Black Lives Matter protests in the US and across the world again the introduction of Android 11 Beta was postponed. The stable update is expected to be available to all the Android devices by the end of this year.

Android 11 Beta is now available for the Google Pixel 2 and later devices. Lots of speculation was also being made that during the unveiling of the newest operating system the company is expected to launch Google Pixel 4a under the mid-range segment. However, the much-anticipated device remains covered up.

Coming back to the Android 11 Beta, here is what it is going to bring to the table:

According to the company, it has focused on three key themes: People, Controls, and Privacy. With the release of the 1st beta update, the new OS brings new conversation notifications known as the bubble. It will appear in a dedicated section at the top of the shade, with a people-forward design and conversation specific actions, such as opening the conversation as a bubble, creating a conversation shortcut on the home screen, or setting a reminder. Bubbles will allow users to keep the conversation in view and more accessible while you are at multitasking. According to the company Messaging and chat apps should use the Bubbles API on notifications to enable this in Android 11. Whereas the Consolidated keyboard suggestions let the Autofill apps and Input Method to firmly suggest context-specific entities and strings straight in an IME’s suggestion strip, where they are most handy for users. Now the devices will include an on-device visual cortex that understands screen content and context and generates labels and access points for accessibility commands. The Voice access update is for the people who often control their handsets completely by voice.

The new update brings you more control for your device to make it faster as well as easier. One can draw device controls instantly at one place by long-pressing the power button. Apps can use a new API to appear in the controls. The most notable update coming to the Android 11 Beta is the Media Controls which is now cleverer to switch the output device for the audio or video content, whether it be headphones, speakers or even their TV.

Media controls in Android 11 are located near the Quick Settings. Sessions from multiple apps are arranged in a swipeable carousel. The carousel lists sessions in this order:

  •         Streams playing locally on the phone
  •         Remote streams, such as those detected on external devices or cast sessions
  •         Previous resumable sessions, in the order they were last played

Users can restart previous sessions from the carousel without having to start the app. When playback begins, the user interacts with the media controls in the usual way. For more info, click here.

In terms of privacy, Android 11 brings more control over sensitive permissions and working to keep devices more secure through faster updates. With the One-time permission, one can allow the app access to the device microphone, camera, or location, at that one time only. However, the app will be able to ask for permissions another time the next time the app is used. If a particular app is not used for an extended period of time, Android 11 will “auto-reset” all of the runtime permissions connected with the app and let the user know. The app can apply for the permissions again the next time the app is used. 

Google Play System Updates, launched last year, lets us expedite updates of core OS components to devices in the Android ecosystem. In Android 11, the company has doubled the number of updatable modules, and those 12 new modules will help improve privacy, security, and consistency for users and developers.

“Android 11 also includes a number of other developer productivity improvements like wireless ADB debugging, ADB incremental for faster installs of large APKs, and more nullability annotations on platform APIs (to catch issues at build time instead of runtime), and more.” the company in its blog post said.

According to the company, the first Beta for Android 11 is now available for Pixel 2, 3, 3a, or 4 devices. One can enroll here to get Android 11 Beta updates over-the-air.

The company has introduced BTS05 5W Bluetooth Speaker in the country designed to deliver high-quality audio and easy to carry anywhere without taking much space in your bag.  It comes integrated with features like Google and Siri.

On the launch of the Boombox, Ms Rohini Walia, Chief Revenue Officer, Thomson Audio said, “We are delighted to launch BTS05 for our consumers. The design has been made keeping in mind the music requirements and travel friendliness of the youth. The built-in features like Google and Siri will be an added experience for the user.”

Thomson has launched BTS05 5W Bluetooth Speaker in the country with an asking price of Rs 999.  The portable speaker will be available for purchase via e-commerce platforms Flipkart as well as Amazon.  It comes in a single black colour option.

The True wireless speaker comes with 5W of power output. To enhance the audio the user can connect two speakers together and double the fun. You get the output of two (10watts) while controlling it with one output device.  The speaker can be connected easily with your smartphones and Tablets enabling wireless connectivity up to 10 meters.  For connectivity, the speaker also supports USB, MicroSD, Aux and FM.  In addition to this, the BTS05 5W Bluetooth Speaker also supports Siri or Google Assistant allowing you to control your playlist, calls or check weather updates with the command of your voice.  It also has a built-in MIC to also use it as a conference call device.
