Lenovo Legion gaming phone specification leaked on AnTuTu ahead of July 22 launch

With Lenovo recently teasing the features of its Legion gaming phone that this upcoming device will come with dual X-axis linear motor, now benchmarking firm AnTuTu on Weibo has revealed that the device’s model number is L79031 along with the other specification of this likely to be rescuer gaming phone. Mind you! Lenovo has announced on Weibo that this new device will be rolled out on July 22

In terms of running score, Lenovo Legion gaming phone gets a total score of 648871 points, which including a CPU score of 187401, a GPU score of 246980, a MEM score of 114314 and a UX score of 100176.

In terms of configuration, AnTuTu revealed on Weibo that Lenovo Legion gaming phone is likely to be equipped with a 2340×1080 resolution display along with built-in 16GB RAM and a storage capacity of 512GB that is quite high.

As far as the processors, is concerned the new machine is equipped with a high-frequency version of Snapdragon 865, which has a main frequency of 3.09GHz. Now, this has been officially confirmed that Lenovo Legion 5G gaming phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus.

Stating that innovating smarter, faster technology for higher performance and more immersive gameplay has always been a hallmark of Lenovo Legion, Jerry Tsao, vice president of Lenovo’s Mobile Gaming Group, said, “Three years after the launch of the Lenovo Legion PC portfolio, we’re bringing our beloved gaming sub-brand’s core values of speed and powerful performance to 5G mobile gaming – where Lenovo Legion will be amongst the first to offer the new Snapdragon 865 Plus in our expanding family of gaming devices this year.”

Judging from the running scores, Lenovo Legion gaming phone should be equipped with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, and its performance is currently very outstanding. The reason why the UX performance is good should be the use of high refresh rate screens, Antutu speculates that its screen refresh rate should reach 144Hz.

Recently, the Legion gaming phone also released a prank unpacking video to showcase packaging style. However, there was a Lenovo Z6 Pro inside the box other than this upcoming gaming phone. Rumour mills have revealed a that Lenovo Legion gaming phone is likely to come with 90Hz refresh rate along with 90W fast charging. In addition, the smartphone will also sport temperature control sensors along with two USB-C ports.

According to an earlier report by XDA Developers, Pricebaba had shared some images claiming to be Lenovo Legion gaming devices. While these images were taken from the Chinese Patent Office, it is quite unsure that the images shared do justice to the phone’s actual design. The screenshots were taken from a promotional video showcasing the actual design of Lenovo’s upcoming gaming device. The two screenshots confirmed that the device will support ultra-fast 90W wired charging.

Furthermore, Lenovo Legion gaming phone seems to feature a dual rear camera set up paced at the centre of the back panel. On the other hand, the Legion logo appears on the rear. Beside this, the company also revealed that the smartphone is confirmed to get a 144Hz display.

With the announcement that Facebook Messenger will soon be adding ways to create rooms from Instagram and WhatsApp too in order to build the communication bridge, A news report had revealed that the WhatsApp beta app version 2.20.163 for Android showcases a new integration with Messenger Rooms. Now, news is rife that the Mark Zuckerberg-led social networking giant is creating tables in a local database that would soon enable communication with WhatsApp user.

As per a WABetaInfo report, Facebook Messenger is creating tables in a local database that will enable the users of this social-networking site to manage messages and services with other WhatsApp users. With this move being implemented, Facebook could import information like phone number of the contact, message, if chat is archived. Moreover, Facebook can understand if a WhatsApp contact is blocked, sounds of push notifications, the details of a chat as well. However, report clarified that Facebook will not be able to access the content, members of a specific group and profile pictures of the contact.

With this, the Mark Zuckerberg-led company appears to be initiating the first steps toward creation a shared connection platform to bridge communication between Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. Mind you! These development are in initial stages. Therefore, there is no surety whether the users of these three platforms can communicate with each other using different social-media handles. Only time will reveal what Facebook Messenger has actually planned.

Recently, Facebook had revealed that “Messenger Rooms make it easy to spend quality time with friends, loved ones and people who share your interests. Create a room right from Messenger or Facebook, and invite anyone to join your video call, even if they don’t have a Facebook account. Rooms will soon hold up to 50 people with no time limit.”

“Messenger Rooms is a new way to spend time with friends and family through group video calls when you can’t be together in person. We built Rooms with privacy in mind and designed controls to let you manage your experience,” said Erin Egan, Chief Privacy Officer at Facebook Policy.

The person who creates Messenger Room controls the settings for who can join, how easy it is to locate a room and whether to enable or share a link. According to a Facebook blog post, “The default privacy settings were designed to be consistent with what you’d expect for where you create a room. For example, rooms you create through a Facebook Group are open by default to members of that Group.”

iQoo Z1x smartphone with Snapdragon 765G SoC goes official: Price and tech specs

The Chinese smartphone company Vivo’s sub-brand has launched its latest smartphone in the market. The company has introduced iQoo Z1x in China with 5G and 33W fast charging support. Until now the company has not yet revealed its international availability details but is expected to arrive in the country in the next couple of months or so. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC and comes with a triple rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera.

iQoo Z1x has been launched in China in multiple configurations of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage at CNY 1,598 that translates to Rs 17,200. While the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,798 that comes around Rs 19,300 and the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option comes at CNY 1,998 which translates to Rs 21,500. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage is the top-end model which comes with a price tag of CNY 2,298 that translates to Rs 24,700.

All the variants of the iQoo Z1x will be offered in three colour options Sea Azure, Sharo Cool Black, and Water White and the device is now available on sale in the country.

iQoo Z1x comes with a 6.57-inch full-HD LCD display with 1,080×2,408 pixels of resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 256GB of UFS2.1 storage. The device runs on iQoo UI on top of Android 10. In order to keep it cool during heavy gaming sessions, the company has integrated an 85 mm heat cooling pipe and 1000 sq.mm. graphite sheet for better cooling along with a Cooling Turbo software to keep the temperature low.

iQoo Z1x features a triple rear camera set up comprising a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture. Further assisted by a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor f/2.4 aperture. Upfront there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, there is a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), and Bluetooth 5.1. For sensors, there is a Beidou, GPS/GLONASS and a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone along with face unlock. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Earlier this month, the Taiwanese electronics brand Asus announced that it will be hosting the ‘Game Changer’ event on July 22nd in Taiwan to unveil its next gaming smartphone ROG Phone 3. Now the company is teasing the third generation of its ROG Phone in India via Flipkart. This clearly indicates that the phone will be exclusively available through the e-commerce website. Also, the device will also make its debut in India on the same day as the global launch that will take place on July 22.

The Asus ROG Phone 3 global launch is scheduled for July 22 in India that will kick off at 8.15 PM IST. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there won’t be a physical launch, instead, it will be streamed live on its official YouTube channel and across all its social media channels. In addition to this, the company has also shared a short teaser video via its Twitter handle confirming the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor for the upcoming gaming phone. Interestingly this time the company has chosen Indian YouTuber CarryMinati as its new face to endorse ROG Phone 3.

Notably, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor is the up-to-the-minute chipset that the American company has just launched in the market to deliver increased performance, faster gameplay ultra-intuitive AI, game-changing Wi-Fi, and a full suite of Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ 5G Mobile Platform provides 5G connectivity and premium features that speeds up 7.5 Gbps enabling seamless streaming from the cloud. While the global 5G support allows gamers across the world to battle simultaneously in real-time. Coming back to Asus ROG Phone 3, its latest teasers the company has only revealed that the just-launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ is going to make its debut with the launch of the gaming device. The TENAA listing suggests the smartphone will be featuring a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. In addition to this the handset will be offered in three variants of 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage, 16GB of RAM with 256GB of storage option and 16GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage.

Moreover, there will be a triple rear camera on the ROG Phone 3 consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a secondary 13-megapixel sensor and the resolution of the tertiary lens is not known but it is expected to be a telephoto lens with 8x zoom support. The device is likely to house a 6,000mAh battery with fast charging support along with a dual USB Type-C port on the smartphone.

OnePlus Nord pricing and specifications leaked, to feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor

Recently OnePlus shared the India launch details for its upcoming OnePlus Nord in the country. The company’s affordable phone is going to be unveiled on July 21 while pre-orders begin on July 15. Until now the company has not shared many details of its device other than just the Snapdragon 765G SoC coming to the smartphone. Now ahead of the official launch event the specifications and pricing details of the mobile phone have landed on the internet as it has been spotted listed by a Romanian retailer. Also, the Nord is confirmed to come in four colour options as revealed by the company’s official Instagram account.

Prior to its launch in the country, OnePlus Nord alleged specifications and pricing details along with renders have been listed on a Romanian retailer’s website. The listing suggests that the device is most likely to be priced at RON 2,229.99 that translates to Rs 39,000 for the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage option. When this r[pricing is converted to US dollars it comes around $536 which is much higher than what the company’s CEO Pete Lau quoted that OnePlus Nord is going to be under $500.

In addition to this, the online retailer listing has also revealed the specifications of the OnePlus Nord. The listing suggests the device will be supporting dual-SIM and will be featuring a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor that is already confirmed by the company in its latest teasers. It is most likely to pack a 4,300mAh battery. Additionally, the listing also stated 5G support as has also been confirmed by the OnePlus Europe’s Head of Strategy Tuomas Lampén.

Moreover, as per the listing, OnePlus Nord is said to sport a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel main sensor, a secondary 16-megapixel camera sensor and a tertiary 2-megapixel lens.

However, the camera details contradict with another new report claiming that instead of a triple rear camera setup there is going to be a quad-camera module on the back of the device including a 48-megapixel primary sensor unlike a 64-megapixel main camera sensor supported by other lenses an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Combined with a dual front camera set up including a 32-megapixel primary and an 8-megapixel secondary lens housed inside a punch-hole design display. This goes with the statement by the OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei stating that Nord will have a “flagship-level camera”. SO we can expect the camera set up to be similar to its latest OnePlus 8 flagship device that has a Sony IMX586 primary sensor and the set up is also supported by optical image stabilisation (OIS).

The above listing only mentioned the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage variant but the latest report touts that there will be another 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage options.

Audio accessories maker Harman has announced its next headphones in the Bluetooth headsets line-up named JBL Club Wireless Headphones. The new club series starts at Rs 9,999 in India and comes with top features including JBL Pro Sound, Personi-Fi, active noise cancellation, voice assistant support, wireless connectivity among others. In the new series, the company has introduced three new models of headphones JBL Club 700BT, Club 950NC and Club One headphones. These headsets are available both in over-ear and on-ear design options.

JBL One Club series is the top-end model from the series being offered by the company. These headphones come with High Res certified graphene drivers and True Adaptive Noise Cancellation and SilentNow listening capabilities.  According to the company with the True Adaptive Noise Cancellation technology, the environmental sound is monitored 50,000 times per second and adapted to the perfect level of noise cancellation for the user’s environment. Moreover, the SilentNow feature allows you to turn on the dedicated button to switch ON noise cancellation mode without activating Bluetooth with a touch. The One Clun headphones can deliver 45 hours of playback time, replaceable ear cushions, a dual-aux audio input and a flight adaptor.

According to the company, all the headphones in the Club Series packs 1.2m audio cable and microphone and are outfitted with full metal hinges for added durability. The JBL 700BT comes with a protective pouch, while the JBL Club 950NC and One come with a durable hard case. In addition, to this, the club series headphones come equipped with the intelligence of the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistant services and Harman’s new-to-market Personi-Fi technologies. These can be activated through the “My JBL Headphones” app and the users can also customise the sound according to their preference.

The JBL Club 700BT price starts at Rs. 9,999, the Club 950NC is priced at Rs. 14,999, and the JBL Club One headset is priced at Rs. 24,999 in India. All the Bluetooth headphones will be available for purchase at both online and offline platforms including www.JBL.com.

The new line up of Samsung Televisions offers a naturally crisp and vivid picture quality with exceptional colours, great depth and deeper contrasts along with smart features.

The line of Crystal 4K UHD Televisions comes with a three-side Bezel-less design and will be available in multiple screen sizes ranging from 43 inches and going up to 75 inches. Additionally, these new Smart TV models house a host of convenient features such as Personal Computer, Content Guide, Music System, Auto Hot Spot, Live Cast and Home Cloud.TV models also have an in-built music player that comes along with a Gaana integration. 

Samsung’s new Crystal 4K UHD TV range will be priced at Rs 44,400 for the 43-inch, Rs 60,900 for the 50-inch, Rs 67,900 for the 55-inch, Rs 1,32,900 for the 65-inch, and Rs 2,37,900 for the 75-inch. The 2020 Crystal 4K UHD line-up will be available at Samsung Smart Plazas and all leading consumer electronics stores.

While the Unbox Magic 3.0 range can be purchased at Rs 20,900 for the 32-inch model and Rs 41,900 for the 43- inch variant.

The launch offers include My Samsung My EMI offer, with EMIs starting at Rs 990 for the 32-inch, Rs 1,190 for the 43-inch, and Rs 1,990 for the 49-inch and above Smart TVs models. Additionally, a cashback of up to 10% on HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, SBI Cards will be offered on the purchase of the TVs. The new range of Smart TVs will come with a two-year warranty – one-year standard warranty and one-year extended warranty on the panel.

Photos and videos sharing app Instagram was recently spotted testing Reels in India. Those unaware, Reels is a feature similar to TikTok for creating short video clips on its platform. The functionality was first introduced last year but was only limited to international markets. But after the ban of TikTok without much delay the company today has officially announced the extension of the testing of Reels in the country targeting the 250 million user base of TikTok in India. Therefore, allowing its users to create and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects and new creative tools on Instagram.

Ajit Mohan, Vice President and Managing Director, Facebook India, said, “With the rise in video consumption overall and videos making up over a third of posts on Instagram in India, Instagram has a big role to play in unleashing expression in the country. People across the big and small cities of India come to Instagram to express themselves safely, and also to be entertained. With Reels, we’re unveiling the future of entertainment on the platform, in a way that ignites creativity. With the multiple creative formats, whichever way you want to express yourself, it can now be on Instagram.”

According to the company, the feature will be rolled out the Indian users at 7.30 PM IST and will be seeing entertaining videos posted by creators such as  Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Komal Pandey, Arjun Kanungo, Jahnavi Dasetty aka Mahathalli, Indrani Biswas aka Wondermunna, Kusha Kapila, Radhika Bangia, RJ Abhinav and Ankush Bhaguna.

As we mentioned earlier Reels was first introduced last year in Brazil then followed by Germany and France and now India. To offer a vast library of music Instagram has partnered with prominent music labels such as Saregama. Whereas the ‘Born on Instagram’ program, which has led to the discovery and growth of creators from all across India.

To begin using this feature select Reels at the bottom of the Instagram camera. You can see multiple creative editing tools on the left side of your screen that you can use to create your reel. The Audio option there will allow you to select a song from the Instagram music library that can be used to create a video. Also, you can also choose your own original audio by simply recording it. The AR effects will let you choose effects from the AR library to record multiple clips with different effects. Whereas the timer and countdown option allow you to set a countdown timer to record a hands-free video whereas to line up objects from your previous clip before recording your next the Align option will help for seamless transitions like outfit changes or adding new friends into your reel. Also, one can also adjust the video’s speed just like TikTok to make slow-motion videos.

American multinational computer technology company Dell has announced the launch of its latest XPS 13 9300 and XPS 15 9500 premium consumer laptops in India today. Both the laptops come equipped with the latest 10th gen Intel Core processors along with thinner bezels and larger displays. The device comes with 100% sRGB color gamut reproduction in the XPS 13 and up to 100% Adobe RGB in XPS 15, 500-nits of brightness, and up to 4K+ resolution screen

Commenting on the launch, Raj Kumar Rishi, Vice President & Managing Director for Consumer & Small Businesses, Dell Technologies India, said, “The XPS experience was long-awaited and we are delighted to bring the new range to our consumers in India. The price of the Dell XPS 13 9300 laptops has been set at Rs 1,44,807 and is now available on purchase via Amazon and select Dell Exclusive Stores in the country.

Dell XPS 15 9500 features a 15.6-inch screen with a 4-sided Infinity Edge display with top camera placement and at 92.9% screen to body ratio as well as 16:10 aspect ratio. The 4K Ultra HD+ screen offers 100% Adobe RGB and 94% DCIP 3 color gamut offering 500-nits brightness along with Dolby Vision support. The device comes with quad up-firing speakers with built-in Waves Nx 3D audio along with top-mounted mics for improved video conferencing experience. Under it, there is a 10th gen Intel Core H-series processor and discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. The Lenovo owned smartphone company Motorola today has announced the launch of its latest and the cheapest 5G phone being offered by any other smartphone company. The company has introduced its latest 5G handset Moto G 5G Plus. This is the company’s second offering after its 5G flagship device Motorola Edge+ and Edge. Moto G 5G comes with Snapdragon 765 SoC, dual selfie camera, quad rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower charging. The company has released the phone in the European market.

Moto G 5G Plus has been launched in the UK and Europe and soon it is going to be introduced in the other markets also including Saudi Arabia and UAE in the next few weeks. The device will be available in two different variants of 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage model. The price of the 4GB version has been set at EUR 349 that translates to Rs 29,400 while the 6GB variant comes at EUR 399 that translates to Rs 33,700. The handset will be offered in a single Surfing Blue colour option.

Moto G 5G Plus specifications and features

The Moto G 5G Plus comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ LCD display with 1080×2520 pixels of resolution, 409ppi pixel density and 21:9 aspect ratio. The device is supported by a 90Hz refresh rate display with HDR10 support. It runs on Android 10 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage option. The 5G phone comes with a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 1TB.

On the camera front, Moto G 5G features a square-shaped quad rear camera module consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture. Further assisted by a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with 118-degrees of field of view and f/2.2 aperture, a tertiary 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For taking selfies there is a selfie camera setup that includes a primary 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2aperture. 

In terms of connectivity, there is a USB Type-C port, 5G SA/NSA, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC among others. For sensors, there is an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, sensor hub, e-compass and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device boasts a 5,000mAh battery that comes with 20W TurboPower fast charging support.

OnePlus Nord confirmed to launch on July 21, pre-bookings kicks off on July 15

On Monday OnePlus accidentally leaked the AR launch invite for its upcoming affordable smartphone in India which was taken down after it was noted down by some of the publishers.  But the company officially confirmed the launch of OnePlus Nord set for July 21. According to the company, the India pre-orders of the phone is going to open on July 15 via e-commerce website Amazon.

According to the company’s official website, OnePlus Nord is going to launch in India on July 21. The launch event is going to take place via the world’s first AR smartphone launch instead of an in-person launch event that is going to begin at 7:30 pm IST. For this, the interested ones can download the OnePlus Nord AR app via Google Play Store and App Store for the Android and iOS users respectively.

In a statement Paul Yu, Co-Founder of OnePlus said that “OnePlus Nord represents a new beginning for OnePlus, giving us an opportunity to share our technology with more people around the world. For this launch, we want everyone to sit back, relax, and experience our new phone for the first time right in the comfort of their living room. We feel that introducing Nord in a more personal and intimate way perfectly reflects our ambition to make the OnePlus experience more accessible to users,” 

As per the teasers, the pre-orders of the device will open on July 15 via Amazon.in. In order to pre-book the consumers need to pay an amount of Rs 499. For this pre-booking amount, the buyers will be getting a gift box containing limited-edition merchandise from OnePlus. According to the company, if the buyers complete their purchases by August 31, they are eligible to receive another gift box comprising OnePlus Bullets Wireless V1 headphones along with OnePlus Nord phone cover.

To recall in the first episode of its documentary New Beginnings the company’s CEO Pete Lau revealed that the device is going to come under $500 that translates to Rs 37,700 according to Indian currency. Therefore, suggesting that the device will be cost-effective than its latest OnePlus 8 series. He said, “OnePlus Nord will be our first product below $500 in recent years.” He further revealed that the device is going to come with a triple rear camera set up and a dual front camera set up. India and Europe will be the first market to receive the device.

Nord is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 756 SoC, a dual selfie camera that is speculated to be consisting of a 32-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor inside a hole-punch design 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display along with triple rear cameras.

The South Korean smartphone company Samsung has officially confirmed a concrete date of its Galaxy Unpacked event. On August 5 we are going to see the significant product launches of the year at the upcoming Samsung’s event. This time the company will be unveiling its next iteration of Note and the foldable smartphone- Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Note 20.

Usually, the company hosts its Galaxy Unpacked event physically but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the company has chosen to go with a virtual event. The company as confirmed that the virtual Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for August 5 at 10:00 AM EST (i.e. 7.30 PM IST).

At the event the company is most likely to announce the four biggest launches of this year- Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live.

We have already seen the leaked renders of Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in a copper or Mystic Bronze colour option, Tab S7, Tab S7+ and Galaxy Watch 3 too. But we haven’t seen the speculated Z Fold 2. However, the company’s invite for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 also suggests this time we are going to see the devices in a new copper colour that we already know but anyways we are still excited for the event.

To recall, the company mistakenly shared the latest renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on its own website just below the Galaxy Note 8’s product image. Therefore, suggesting a new copper colour variant for its next flagship.

The renders have revealed that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will have a camera set up similar to the S20 series which is speculated to include a 108-megapixel sensor along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 13-megapixel periscopic style zoom lens supported by a laser autofocus module. The new bronze ring around each sensor and the all-new copper colour gives the smartphone a more elegant as well premium look. Speculations are being made that the S Pen stylus will be smaller than what we have seen with the last generation of Note. The Pen will come with a metal body.

Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 device is suggested to feature a 60Hz 1080p display and is going to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 processor. Also, a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging tech with a similar camera set up as of Galaxy S20 is said to be offered. While Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is rumoured to launch with a WQHD+ resolution display with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 processor and a 108-megapixel sensor.

Samsung is also rumoured to launch a 5G variant of Galaxy Z Flip at the same event. For this, the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Rumours also suggest that this time Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be called Galaxy Z Fold and will be receiving a major design change for a more improved experience.

Keeping this in mind and to maintain hygiene Samsung has launched an innovative product in India. The South Korean brand has launched Samsung UV Sterilizer with Wireless Charging to quickly disinfect your smartphone, earbuds and glasses, in just 10 minutes. According to the company, the Sterilizer has been manufactured by the Samsung C&T which is a partner of the Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program (SMAPP). The device is now available via select online and retail stores.

Samsung’s UV Sanitizer

Samsung has launched its UV Sterilizer to keep all your gadgets clean. The Sterilizer allows you to disinfect your devices by killing the bacteria and germs in just 10 minutes. The device is touted to eliminate 99% of bacteria and germs, including E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans according to tests done by two independent test and certification institutes, Intertek and SGS. However, it is likely to kill the coronavirus actually in order to kill the virus, a high amount of UVC exposure is required that Samsung’s UV Sterilizer is now capable of. So the company also doesn’t advertise it to be a successful preventive against the coronavirus.

Samsung UV Sanitizer

Samsung’s UV Sterilizer is measured 196 x 96 x 33 mm which allows you to keep a large phablet inside to disinfect and there is enough space to keep earbuds and earphones inside it. The device also allows you to disinfect your sunglasses, keys and other accessories. The product can sterilize both the lower and the upper part of the device and is compact and small enough to be carried along with you in your bag. The UV Sterilizer is easy to use, with a single button that turns on4 or off the UV function. What’s more, the device automatically turns off after 10 minutes. According to the company if the product is not exposed to the UV light will not be disinfected. To ensure product performance is not compromised, it is not recommended to use the UV function for more than 10 minutes at a time. The green light indicates UV Sterilizer is turned on.

The UV Sterilizer comes with a built-in wireless charging feature so you can charge your Qi-enabled smartphone or earphones while the device is being cleaned. It has a maximum wireless charging output of 10 watts. Charging does not stop when the UV Sterilizer turns off.

At the moment it is available in Thailand with a price tag of TBH 1,560 that translates to Rs 3,743. The company is expected to announce the pricing of Samsung UV Sterilizer in the international markets in a few weeks.

The Japanese electronics brand, Panasonic, has expanded its product portfolio in India by launching an exclusive range of home appliances. All the products are available via e-commerce websites Amazon and Flipkart. The company has introduced a total number of 10 models of semi-automatic and top-load washing machines, frost-free refrigerators and LED Televisions. According to the company the range has been designed to extend complete comfort, convenience, cost efficiency and durability to consumers.  

Announcing the exclusive e-commerce range, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Chief – Sanyo and E-Commerce Business, Panasonic India said, “We are witnessing a pent-up demand for electronics with a mix of replacement buying and new buyers. Given the current scenario, consumers are looking at contactless purchases; driving adoption of e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. We had introduced our 40- inch LED TV on Amazon and Flipkart in June 2020 and the inventory was sold out within a week. Compared to pre-lockdown, we have witnessed an increased contribution to overall sales from e-commerce.”

In the coming months, Panasonic India will also be adding more models and categories such as microwave, vacuum cleaners, large size televisions and personal audio solutions as part of the exclusive range on Amazon and Flipkart.

Panasonic washing machines come with an individual wash program to tackle the most stubborn stains, resulting in a perfect wash. The Semi-Automatic Washing Machines feature a modern design and Active Foam system for effective stain removal. All the models are energy as well as water-efficient and have in-built eco-friendly solutions like Aqua Shower Rinse that saves water up to 28%. In this category, the company has introduced a total of four washing machines in which three models are Semi-Automatic and one Top Load. We have listed down the model numbers along with their capacity and pricing.

Panasonic washing machine with model number NA-W65E5ARB is semi-automatic and comes with a capacity of 6.5Kg at Rs 8,290. The Semi-automatic washing machine with model number NA-W70E5RRB possesses a capacity of 7.0KG and will be available at Rs 9,490 while the one with model number NA-W80E5HRB has a capacity of 8Kg and is priced at Rs 12,290. The Panasonic Top load washing machine with model number NA-F60LF1HRB(6.0Kg) has been launched at Rs 12,990.

While the Panasonic frost-free refrigerator models come equipped with frost-free refrigerator models to deliver optimum cooling and up to 49% power saving. Also, the AG Clean technology deactivates up to 99.9% of bacteria in the refrigerator to keep food fresh and boasts of 20% extra storage space with a 35L jumbo vegetable box. The company has launched five models. The model number NR-MBG31VSS3 (307 L) is priced at Rs 28,490, NR-MBG34VSS3 (336L) at Rs 30,490, NR-TBG27VSS3 (268 L) at Rs 23,490. Whereas the price of the NR-TBG31VSS3 (305L) has been set at Rs 27,490 and the NR-TBG34VSS3(335L) comes at Rs 29,490.

In addition to this, the company has also launched Panasonic LED Television that delivers good picture quality with vibrant colours realism, contrast, brightness and impressive cinematic sound. The device is powered by Google’s Android Platform offering smart features and Google-certified built-in assistance tools for superior TV viewing experience. Also, the LED TV supports Vivid Digital Pro for high-quality picture and viewing experience. The Panasonic LED Television 40 inch with model number TH-40HS450DX has been introduced at Rs 19,990.

With an aim to provide a seamless and superlative payment experience on the Ola app during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this India-based ride-hailing company has now collaborated with PhonePe, a digital payments platform in the country.  This collaboration will now enable Ola’s customers to pay for their ride using PhonePe. Mind you! This feature has currently rolled out on Android and will shortly be available on iOS too.

As the world is battling the COVID-19 pandemic, it becomes extremely important to cater to the growing need for contactless payment solutions during these extraordinary times. Ola claims that under this implementation, customers can use all of PhonePe’s payment instruments including the PhonePe wallet to make payments along with the UPI. The combined scale and capabilities of Ola and PhonePe will play a pivotal role in further fueling the adoption of digital payment solutions for the mobility industry.

As part of our introductory offer, Ola customers can avail up to Rs 200 in cashback on the first two rides if they pay the fare using PhonePe.

Meanwhile, Ola app has also joined RideSafeIndia initiative last month. Xiaomi’s spin-off brand, Poco, today launched its second smartphone of 2020 in the market. Poco M2 Pro is now official. Even before the arrival of Poco X2, which launched months back, M2 has been part of the rumour mills. The company has introduced the phone via a pre-recorded online launch event that was live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel across its social media platforms. The device is powered by Snapdragon 720G SoC. In addition to this, there is a hole-punch design display and quad rear cameras. Let’s see what else does this smartphone has to offer. 

Poco M2 Pro pricing and availability details

Poco M2 Pro has been launched in India today. The device will be available in two variants of 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage at Rs 13,999, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage at Rs 14,999 whereas the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant price has been set at Rs 16,999.

The device will be available for purchase via e-commerce website Flipkart and is scheduled to go on sale in India on July 14 and at 12 noon onwards. The smartphone is offered in three colour options of Out of the Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black. 

Poco M2 Pro specifications and features.

Poco M2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor paired with 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage (as one of the options). The memory can be expanded by up to 512GB using a microSD card. The device runs on MIUI 11 based on top of Android 10. The mobile phone features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio offering 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution, which comes with a layer of triple Corning Gorilla glass 5 for safety.

Also, the company has integrated a 2×2 MIMO WiFi so that the user gets a better connection to the router, which means good gaming with low latency. The smartphone also has Z-shocker vibration haptics food better vibration feedback.

On the camera front, Poco M2 Pro sports a quad rear camera set up that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a secondary 8-megapixel Ultra-Wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens and as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While on the front there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Poco M2 Pro boasts a 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For connectivity there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, a proximity sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus Nord launch set for July 21 in India, teased by Amazon India website

Recently the Chinese premium smartphone company rolled out the teaser of its upcoming affordable smartphone OnePlus Nord. The device is confirmed to launch in India, UK and was up for a limited pre-order in the UK, and it is set to go on pre-order in India soon. In a new development, the company has listed the smartphone on Amazon India website and is set to launch in the country on July 21. The company will be launching the phone through a special AR presentation on the decided date according to the listing.

According to Amazon’s listing the OnePlus Nord is scheduled for a launch on July 21. The teaser page has revealed that the launch event will take off via augmented reality presentation. However, the AR launch invite has now been taken down, and instead, the company has put the first look of the upcoming smartphone which we have already shared with you in our detailed report. The teaser page briefly listed out the AR Launch Invite for the OnePlus Nord which said “made to be experienced 21st of July” along with a link that directed to the OnePlus event page which is right now not available. The AR event details now removed were first spotted by TechRadar and according to the publisher, the removal of the launch event listing suggests that the company might launch the OnePlus Nord soon in the country.

In another Instagram post, the company has shared the retail box of the soon to arrive device on the platform, the retail box is going to be black in colour instead of the red one which we have seen earlier. The black box is shown with cyan colour accents. Though it is strange to notice that the company is teasing the box’s sturdiness by presenting two persons standing on the opposite side of the box.

In an interview with Android Authority the OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord phone will not launch in the US as their mid-rangers have not been successful in North America. The company will be focusing on markets such as India as well as Europe. He revealed that “So if you look at our markets right now, like in India, we’re already doing really well and in Europe, we’re growing really quickly with the channel expansion we’re doing there, so it makes sense to focus on those markets where we know for sure that this product is going to be a success.” He further added “In the meantime, we’re planning a smaller beta program in the US. We also said before that future products in the Nord line will be coming to the US,”

In a bid to attract more customers the South Korean smartphone brand Samsung has recently launched two new offers in India The company has introduced Galaxy Assured and Galaxy Forever which will be applicable on premium devices such as the new Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 10 Lite getting an assured buyback offer. While the Galaxy Forever will help them get the devices at half the cost of what is being offered by the company and the remaining amount can be paid next year from the date of purchase.

Describing the Samsung Galaxy Assured the users will be getting assured buyback offers on the purchase of Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra and Galaxy S10 Lite 512GB storage variant and Galaxy Note 10 Lite.  The customers purchasing these phones will be eligible to avail cashback of up to 70 percent of the original price of the device if it is being sold in exchange for a new device.

Whereas if the smartphone is sold within six months from the date of purchase then they can get a buyback of up to 60 percent of the original value of the smartphone. A buyback of up to 50 percent will be given when the phone is sold within nine months of the purchase and up to 40 percent after a year of purchase. For this, the company has collaborated with Servify to offer Device Lifecycle Management Services.

At the moment Samsung Galaxy S20 is available with an asking price of Rs 69,750 in India. Whereas the Galaxy S10 Lite 512GB storage variant comes at Rs 47,999 and 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage model of the Galaxy Note 10 starts at Rs 37,999.

While on the other hand, the Galaxy Forever offer allows the customers to purchase a new premium device at 60 percent of the original price. Whereas the remaining 40 percent of the value can be paid after a year or else they can return the device if somehow, they are not able to pay the balance or eyeing on a new device. In order to avail of this offer, the customers have to make the purchase of Galaxy S20 by means of EMI option only. For this offer, the company has collaborated with Servify and IDFC First Bank.

Both the Galaxy Assured and Galaxy Forever plans are now available on all the Samsung Exclusive Stores, official retail outlets as well as Samsung India online store.
