It comes with a starting price of Rs 16,999. If you are thinking of buying it right away, please restrain yourself a little bit and go through the following points, as there are much better companies to go for. Here is why we think Realme Narzo 30 Pro is not the perfect choice at this price point, as the company is claiming it to be.

1) Processor could have been better

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G comes with a MediaTek MT6873 Dimensity 800U 5G chipset. Other brands like Moto and Samsung are releasing their mid-range smartphone with powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. When subjected to resource-demanding tasks like gaming, the Narzo 30 Pro 5G will surely lag behind the other smartphones. Moreover, 5G must run on a powerful processor, which is missing in this smartphone.

2) No advancement in camera

On the rear, Realme Narzo 30 Pro has a triple-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The front camera setup lies inside a punch-hole cutout situated on the top left corner of the screen. You get a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front. There is nothing new about camera specification. It has the same set of front and rear cameras as you get in Narzo 20 Pro. So where is the upgrade?

3) The battery won’t last long

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery. The 5G feature will ensure that the battery drains out even faster. In fact, Samsung offers a higher mAh battery at a cheaper price. Motorola gives you the same power battery at half the price of Narzo 30 Pro. Thus, when it comes to power, we were expecting at least a 6,000 mAh battery.

4) In an era of AMOLED, who wants IPS LCD?

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G comes with a standard 6.5-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The panel operates at full-HD+ resolution. Does it sound amazing? No, because you are getting an IPS LCD that is not capable of delivering the quality what an AMOLED screen can offer with the same refresh rate. Samsung offers a Super AMOLED display at a similar rate. So, if picture quality is a priority for you, Narzo 30 Pro is not something you should go ahead with.

5) Nothing new in the memory

The 4GB RAM 64GB storage model of the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G will cost you Rs. 16,999 while the 8GB RAM 128GB memory configuration model is priced at Rs 19,999. At the max, you are getting 64 GB + 256 GB expandable storage. This is exactly what Narzo 20 Pro offers. There is no improvement in the memory department of Narzo 30 Pro 5G. Moreover, Motorola offers you 64GB storage at half the price. Thus, spending money for zero change is not worthwhile when in the recent future we expect some great advancement in the storage segment from its competition in the same price segment.

Bonus argument for not buying Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G

The user interface is the window through which you interact with your smartphone. The interface of this Realme smartphone looks obsolete and dated. If you buy it, you may face inconvenience in handling it, at least for a while. The Chinese smartphone company recently introduced Moto G30 and Moto G10 in the European markets. Both smartphones will soon make their way to the Indian market also. As per a tipster, these two phones are expected to launch sometime around March. For your information, the devices are priced under the company’s budget segment and include quad rear cameras and a 5,000mAH battery. As noted by tipster Mukul Sharma, Motorola is planning to launch two budget smartphones in the Indian market. As per the tipster, Moto G30 and Moto G10 are speculated to make its debut in the country in March. His tweet reads, “in all likelihood, Motorola will launch its Moto G10 and Moto G30 devices in India in March. The launch could very well happen in the first week if things go as planned.” To recall, Both Moto G30, Moto G10 were introduced in the European market last week. The G30 is priced at  EUR 179.99 that translates to Rs 15,900 while the G10 comes with a price tag of EUR 149.99 that comes around Rs 13,300. The earlier one is available in two colour options of Pastel Sky and Phantom Black while the latter one comes in Aurora Grey and Iridescent Pearl colour options.  Moto G30: Specifications Moto G30 runs Android 11 out of the box. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD card. The global launch of the gaming smartphone would also see new accessories and gaming headsets that would come along with the device. The device will succeed Asus ROG Phone 3 which was introduced last year in July.  The Asus ROG Phone 5 is all set to launch globally on March 10. PAN card correction requires making amendments to the entries of your name, address, or any other data in the PAN card. You can do the correction online via the TIN portal of NSDL. The procedure for correcting the PAN card details is different for contact addresses inside and outside India. The method for the former case is given below.

How to apply online for PAN Card correction?

To apply for your PAN card correction, follow these steps. NSDL
  1. Visit the TIN portal of NSDL: https://www.tin-nsdl.com/.
  2. Go to the ‘Services’ tab on the menu and tap on ‘PAN’ on the drop-down menu.
  3. Once you enter a new screen, scroll up and locate ‘Change/Correction in PAN Data’
  4. Click on the ‘Apply’ link below the said section and it will redirect you to the page ‘Online PAN application‘
  5. Begin by selecting ‘Changes or Correction in existing PAN Data/Reprint of PAN Card’ from the ‘Application Type’ drop-down menu.
  6. Select the ‘Category’ from the drop-down menu.
  7. Fill in the ‘Applicant Information’ segment with these details.

Microsoft intends to release the Windows 10 21H1 update in the first half of the year with improvements and a new set of features. This update will be the eleventh installment since the original release and the first semi-annual update of 2021. Windows 10 21H1 will be an optional update for devices that run 20H2 since Microsoft initially wants to limit the availability to check potential issues for partially compatible devices. According to John Cable, Vice President of Program Management for Windows Servicing and Delivery, “Windows 10, version 21H1 will have a scoped set of features improving security, remote access, and quality. The features we are releasing in this update are focused on the core experiences that customers have told us they’re relying on most right now. So, we optimized this release to support our customers’ most pressing needs.”

When Microsoft originally launched Windows 10, it used to release two significant updates every subsequent year offering new features. However, in recent years, the company has veered slightly away from this. Microsoft now releases a big update every six months. For instance, the May 2020 Update (20H1) was significant. It was succeeded by a smaller October 2020 Update (20H2). Microsoft seems to break the pattern. Instead of following up the minute 20H2 update with a bigger 21H1 update, Microsoft is rolling out a small update in the 2021 spring. Thus, we can expect a significant update with a lot of new features in late 2021.

How will this update be an improvement over its predecessors?

You can expect the new update to bring the following upgrades. 1) Although the new Windows 10 21H1 update will not change the way you use Windows 10, it will concentrate on some essential areas like quality, remote access, and security. For instance, when you use Windows Hello during biometric authentication, the latest multi-camera feature will enable you to fix another camera as the default while using integrated webcams. 2) This new update will solve the delay problem in Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) while opening the Microsoft Office. 3) You’ll be able to achieve faster file copying of above 400MB as the new update will solve the problem that leads to high usage of system memory when the WDAG container is empty.

Airtel teams up with Qualcomm for a faster roll-out of 5G networks in India
Last month Bharti Airtel announced that it will soon roll out a 5G network pan India in a matter of months. Also, it demonstrated LIVE 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Airtel did this over its existing liberalised spectrum in the 1,800 MHz bands through the NSA (Non-Stand Alone) network technology. In a new development the telecom company today announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies for accelerating 5G in India.  Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel has been a pioneer of new technologies and our networks are fully ready for 5G. We are delighted to have Qualcomm Technologies as a key technology provider in our journey to roll-out world-class 5G in India. With Airtel’s integrated service portfolio and Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G leadership, we will be well placed to usher India into the next era of hyper-fast and ultra-low latency digital connectivity.”  With the announcement of its partnership with the American Chipset company Qualcomm, Airtel aims to utilize the Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms to roll-out virtualized and Open RAN-based 5G networks. The company as a board member of the O-RAN Alliance is also working with Qualcomm Technologies to explore and implement the O-RAN approach for India.  According to the company, the flexible and scalable architecture of O-RAN will create new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to become viable players in the deployment of 5G networks. Additionally, their collaboration will also enable a  wide array of use cases, including 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) that is designed to deliver broadband connectivity at Gigabit speeds to homes and businesses. Therefore this will help Airtel to allow the rollout of broadband services in a cost-effective and expeditious manner across India. Rajen Vagadia, Vice President, QUALCOMM India Private Limited and President, Qualcomm India said, “There is a compelling case to accelerate the roll-out of 5G networks in India, as it will help fast-track the country’s socio-economic growth and development. We are pleased to be working with Airtel, and we are excited by the opportunity ahead. This collaboration is expected to play a critical role in Airtel’s plans to add 5G network coverage and capacity where and when it is needed the most.” Airtel 5G solutions together with Qualcomm 5G Fixed Wireless Access Platform support to be able to provide multi-gigabit internet speeds wirelessly to customers. As per the telecom operator for the customers the ultra-fast and low latency of 5G will unlock a digital world of limitless possibilities – gigabit size file downloads in seconds and 4K video streaming on the go across smartphones and computing devices, Immersive Technologies such as Virtual Reality and SMART Homes with connected things. Also, the FWA Platform will virtually support a combination of 5G spectrum bands and modes, from extended-range high power sub-6 to extended-range mmWave.  The Airtel 5G solutions including FWA services will deliver cutting-edge technology for virtualized, flexible and interoperable 5G infrastructure. Microsoft is intending to include the text prediction feature in Word starting March 2021. The new functionality, just like the existing predictions feature in Google Docs’ Smart Compose, will utilise Machine Learning to predict what the user can type as next words. This innovation will accelerate the document typing process for the user. According to Microsoft, the new feature in Word will help “users write more efficiently by predicting text quickly, timely and accurately.”

As in Google Docs, the predictions feature on Word will highlight the predicted text in grey so that the user can include it in his file by pressing the ‘Tab’ key. He can even reject the predictive text by pressing ‘Esc’. The company says that the predictions will gradually become better as the Machine Learning algorithms recognise the writing pattern of the user. You will be able to turn off the predictive text feature on the whole if you don’t want to take the predictive words. The company claims that the data collected to implement the Machine Learning algorithm will not “leave the tenant boundary” and no other users will be able to fetch it. However, Microsoft Word users are free to file any complaints or give suggestions to the company regarding the new and old features by navigating to Help > Feedback.

The text-prediction feature is expected to arrive in Microsoft Word in March. In September 2020, Microsoft presented the details about the text prediction feature in Word and revealed that what you type doesn’t leave the “tenant boundary” of your system. In other words, Whatever you type, is not captured by the software. According to Neowin, the feature has been included in the Microsoft 365 public roadmap and is expected to arrive next month. Microsoft had already released the text predictions feature for Outlook for the web in November 2020. This new feature appears to be associated with Microsoft 365. However, it’s not clear if the feature will be a part of the new Microsoft Office 2021. According to an official blog post, this new feature is available only for 50 percent of users of Windows Beta Channel running Version 2010 Build 13301.20004 or succeeding and to all Microsoft 365 SKUs on Word online leaving out the Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 F3, Microsoft 365 A1.

The company has unveiled the VAIO Z (2021) laptop powered by an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The device features a 14-inch display with a 4K resolution. The laptop comes with a  contoured carbon fibre build for toughness. Kaoru Hayashi, Director, Vice President and Head of PC Business at VAIO Corporation proudly states, “It is with great pleasure that we introduce VAIO Z to the world. With over a decade of relentless carbon fiber research, VAIO has succeeded in creating and mass-producing the world’s first 3D molded full carbon chassis for laptop PCs.  Vaio Z (2021 VAIO Z (2021) laptop: Price and Availability The price of the VAIO Z (2021) laptop in India has been set at $3,579 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage that translates to Rs 2,59,900.
