The Chinese smartphone company recently introduced Moto G30 and Moto G10 in the European markets. Both smartphones will soon make their way to the Indian market also. As per a tipster, these two phones are expected to launch sometime around March. Asus Republic of Gamers is all set to launch its next generation of ROG Phone in India in the upcoming month. The company has officially confirmed to launch Asus ROG Phone 5 on March 10. The global launch of the gaming smartphone would also see new accessories and gaming headsets that would come along with the device. The device will succeed Asus ROG Phone 3 which was introduced last year in July. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is all set to launch globally on March 10. As per the dedicated page for the event, the launch event will be held virtually in Taipei at 7 pm local time and the launch will begin in India on March 10 at 4:30 pm IST. Microsoft intends to release the Windows 10 21H1 update in the first half of the year with improvements and a new set of features. This update will be the eleventh installment since the original release and the first semi-annual update of 2021.
Windows 10 21H1 will be an optional update for devices that run 20H2 since Microsoft initially wants to limit the availability to check potential issues for partially compatible devices. According to John Cable, Vice President of Program Management for Windows Servicing and Delivery, “Windows 10, version 21H1 will have a scoped set of features improving security, remote access, and quality. So, we optimized this release to support our customers’ most pressing needs.”

When Microsoft originally launched Windows 10, it used to release two significant updates every subsequent year offering new features. However, in recent years, the company has veered slightly away from this. Microsoft now releases a big update every six months. For instance, the May 2020 Update (20H1) was significant. It was succeeded by a smaller October 2020 Update (20H2). Microsoft seems to break the pattern. Instead of following up the minute 20H2 update with a bigger 21H1 update, Microsoft is rolling out a small update in the 2021 spring. Thus, we can expect a significant update with a lot of new features in late 2021.

You can expect the new update to bring the following upgrades.
1) Although the new Windows 10 21H1 update will not change the way you use Windows 10, it will concentrate on some essential areas like quality, remote access, and security. Last month Bharti Airtel announced that it will soon roll out a 5G network pan India in a matter of months. Also, it demonstrated LIVE 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. In a new development the telecom company today announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies for accelerating 5G in India. Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel has been a pioneer of new technologies and our networks are fully ready for 5G. We are delighted to have Qualcomm Technologies as a key technology provider in our journey to roll-out world-class 5G in India. With Airtel’s integrated service portfolio and Qualcomm Technologies’ 5G leadership, we will be well placed to usher India into the next era of hyper-fast and ultra-low latency digital connectivity.” With the announcement of its partnership with the American Chipset company Qualcomm, Airtel aims to utilize the Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms to roll-out virtualized and Open RAN-based 5G networks. The company as a board member of the O-RAN Alliance is also working with Qualcomm Technologies to explore and implement the O-RAN approach for India. According to the company, the flexible and scalable architecture of O-RAN will create new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to become viable players in the deployment of 5G networks. Additionally, their collaboration will also enable a wide array of use cases, including 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) that is designed to deliver broadband connectivity at Gigabit speeds to homes and businesses. Microsoft is intending to include the text prediction feature in Word starting March 2021. The new functionality, just like the existing predictions feature in Google Docs’ Smart Compose, will utilise Machine Learning to predict what the user can type as next words. This innovation will accelerate the document typing process for the user.

The company claims that the data collected to implement the Machine Learning algorithm will not “leave the tenant boundary” and no other users will be able to fetch it. In September 2020, Microsoft presented the details about the text prediction feature in Word and revealed that what you type doesn’t leave the “tenant boundary” of your system. In other words, Whatever you type, is not captured by the software. According to Neowin, the feature has been included in the Microsoft 365 public roadmap and is expected to arrive next month. Microsoft had already released the text predictions feature for Outlook for the web in November 2020. This new feature appears to be associated with Microsoft 365. However, it’s not clear if the feature will be a part of the new Microsoft Office 2021. According to an official blog post, this new feature is available only for 50 percent of users of Windows Beta Channel running Version 2010 Build 13301.20004 or succeeding and to all Microsoft 365 SKUs on Word online leaving out the Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 F3, Microsoft 365 A1.

In 2020, OpenAI released a machine-learning-based text generator known as GPT-3 that is exceptionally accurate at producing texts that are tough to distinguish from human writing. But, it’s important to note that although algorithms like GPT-3 are excellent at constructing coherent sentences, they still falter at producing prose that’s logical. Thus the predictive typing feature in Word could be utilised to complete writing that obeys a template formula but can’t replace human effort in the real work of research and rhetoric.
