Motorola Edge 20 Pro confirmed to launch in India soon
After launching Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion in India, the Chinese smartphone company is all set to expand the lineup in the country. The company has confirmed to introduce the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The device was earlier launched globally last month along with the other two phones. The upcoming smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC and has a 144Hz refresh rate display.
Motorola India Country Head, Prashanth Mani, took to Twitter to confirm the India launch for the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The tweet from the company’s India Head was a response to a fan who wished for the device to arrive in the country as well. To which Mr Prashanth Mani says, “We will launch the edge 20 pro soon.”
However, the company’s chief did not reveal any specific timeline for the launch of the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The price and the other additional details are yet to be revealed. The device is speculated to launch in India next month that is September and is likely to be priced above Rs 35,000.
To recollect, Motorola Edge 20 Pro debuted globally last month along with Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite. Out of the three two were launched in India earlier this week.
The Pro variant is priced at EUR 699.99 for the 12GB RAM with a 256GB storage model that translates to Rs 60,900 (approx). It comes in two colour options of Indigo Vegan Leather and Midnight Blue.
Speaking of the specification, Motorola Edge 20 Pro is headlined with a 6.7-inch OLED display. It comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and Amazon HDR support. Its screen also offers 10-bit colour and DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The phone runs My UX on top of Android 11 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM along with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, there is a triple camera setup on the back of Edge 20 Pro housing a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a macro lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 5x high-res optical zoom and 50X Super Zoom telephoto lens.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that also supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. For connectivity, there is 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and Bluetooth, and others.

While announcing the new ways to help people more easily search and find content on YouTube Neal Mohan, Chief Product Officer said, YouTube’s enormous library of content has always set us apart as a platform. No matter what you’re looking for, there’s a good chance we have it on YouTube. But we know viewers need to easily find the videos they’re looking for, and quickly access the information they need. Redmi 10 with 90Hz display and 50-megapixel quad-camera launched
Recently, Redmi teased to launch Redmi 10 in India. But before it arrived in the country the company’s latest smartphone debuted in Malaysia. Now in a blog post, the company has revealed all the specifications and pricing of the handset however it did not mention in which market it will arrive. The key highlights of the smartphone include a 50-megapixel quad rear camera setup, a 90Hz display and a 5,000mAh battery onboard. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
Redmi 10 price and availability
Redmi 10 has been launched in three different configurations. The device is available in 4GB RAM with a 64GB storage option priced at $179 that translates to Rs 13,300 approx. The 4G RAM with 128GB will come with a price tag of $199 that comes around Rs 14,800 and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage will retail at $219 translating to Rs 16,300 approx. The device is mentioned to come in three colour options of Carbon Grey, Pebble White, and Sea Blue. The availability details are yet to be revealed. To recall, in Malaysia Redmi 10 is available in two variants 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 64GB RAM with 128GB storage model priced at MYR 649 and MYR 749 respectively. This converts to Rs 11,400 and Rs 13,100 respectively as per Indian currency.

Canon recently announced the launch of a new XF-series professional-use camcorder namely XF605 in the market. The Canon XF605 features the company’s L Series lens offering 15X zoom along with 3 ring operation. There is a 1.0-inch CMOS sensor and is powered by a DIGIC DV7 image processor. The camcorder comes with head and eye detection and 5-axis stabilisation.
Canon XF605 comes with a compact body that brings portability while retaining three lens rings for enhanced operability. The new XF-series professional-use camcorder weighs approximately 600 grams less than the XF705. MG Motors India today introduced its compact SUV MG Astor in the country. The new midsize SUV is looking to go after other brands in the segment like Kia Seltos and Hyundai’s Creta. The car uses autonomous Level 2 technology and also features a personal AI assistant to suggest routes and travel distances by understanding the user’s requirements.
MG Astor is yet to be launched in India but before the final unveil the company has shared a glimpse of its upcoming new product for the consumers looking for a compact-sized SUV and a cheaper alternative to Creta and Seltos. By doing this the company aims to build up before the debut of its car. In addition to this, MG Motor India has also revealed the key highlights of its product. MG Astor shares the popular ZS platform sold by MG across the globe in countries such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Norway, Netherlands and other countries in Asia.
In terms of design Astor will be highlighted with an all-new Bold Celestial Grille which is said to be inspired by cosmic lines and forms which adds dynamism to the front of the car. The device has received a price cut of Rs 3,000 that is applicable on all its variants, bringing the device price down to Rs 34,990. The series also includes two more variants, a Pro and a Pro+, but only the standard variant has received a price cut.

iQoo 8 Pro comes with a massive 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display with 1,440×3,200 pixels of resolution. It features a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support along with 517ppi pixel density as well as a 20:9 aspect ratio. This gaming smartphone is powered by the very latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC along with Adreno 660 GPU for graphics. It will be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage for storing content.
In addition to this, the phone includes a triple rear camera set-up that includes a 50-megapixel IMX766V sensor with an f/1.75 sensor and gimbal stabilisation.
