RIP last version of Fortnite, game consumed by a blackhole: Fresh season coming soon

0

Fortnite is one of the highest played online multiplayer battle royal game around the globe. Recently, many are wondering why the game has evaporated into a black hole and all the gamers see on-screen is just that, besides few small other things. Fret not because that has been done intentionally by the game developers.

This marks the end of the last map and season of Fortnite, and the game makers (Epic Games) are ready to introduce a new Season 11, which many are saying is going to be bigger and better than before. This has been done to create extreme hype amongst gamers and an absence of the game/map for some time will keep things on the edge, many feel.

Epic games have called the phenomena ‘The End’ where the event marks the end of the 10th season and one will soon be able to play the season 11 of Fortnite. A lot of gamers were online when the event happened. They saw a series of in-game meteor showers, which seems to be destroying the virtual world, thus ‘The End’. After that, all was sucked into a black hole and only the black hole screen appears thereafter. This black hole is also available and can be watched on the live stream of the game on Fornite’s official twitter page.

It is still unclear when the new map of Fornite will come to life. So, if you want to play Fortnite today or maybe tomorrow, you would need to wait. Till then the game developers have added a mini-game in its place, which can be accessed using the following code.

UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B/O, A/X, START/ENTER

With this, the game players will be able to get to Space Invaders: Esque that is a mini-game involving Pizzas and Hamburgers. Hopefully, the new map will be available in the next 24-48 hours. And yes it will be a fresh new map to play and not an upgrade to the old one.

At the moment one can access the Emoji menu by pressing Win key + ;. This pops open the emoji menu as well as Kaomojis system from which the users can choose from a list of emoji’s. However, with the introduction of a dedicated button for the same, the company says it will cut down the time taken to access and put an emoji by half. This is a good move if you ask as, as many use Emojis in informal documents and E-mails as well.

Over that, Microsoft keyboards will also come with a dedicated button for Office 365 as well. This again will enable the users to quickly access one of the most popular Office and spreadsheet software. When pressed the key, that also has the Office Logo on it, opens the Microsoft Office Program.

Both the keyboards are wireless and work on Bluetooth platform. They do look a bit similar to the previous versions of the keyboards, however, besides being ergonomically correct the biggest upgrade to them are these dedicated keys. They have been priced at USD 59.99 (roughly Rs 4,850) and USD 49.99 (roughly Rs 3,550). The international availability starts from October 2019. But there is no clear word on its India sales. Now iOS 13.2 beta brings the option to delete Siri’s recordings

Back in August Apple contractors were found hearing Siri voice recordings globally. The company hired employees that were found to be hearing private conversations via Siri. After huge criticism, the company suspended the project. And to make the system more transparent the company promised to bring an opt-out feature for its users. As promised the iOS 13.2 beta update brings the feature to opt-out of the grading system.

Apple has been involved in a lot of controversies when its hired employees were found hearing private conversations via Siri, which raised the concern about user’s privacy and safety. As per the latest report by Macrumors in iOS 13.2 beta update the users get an option to delete the history of Siri also there is an option to opt-out of sharing the audio recording with the company.

Apple came up with a new option to allow the iPhone and iPad users to delete Siri as well as Dictation history and it has also added a new option to opt-out of sharing audio recordings. Earlier a report by The Guardian claimed that the company’s employees have been regularly hearing confidential details of users while assessing their audio recordings.

“There have been countless instances of recordings featuring private discussions between doctors and patients, business deals, seemingly criminal dealings, sexual encounters and so on. These recordings are accompanied by user data showing location, contact details, and app data,”

Now the company has started rolling out iOS 13.2 beta update in which it has also added the new privacy features that were promised earlier. Apple has also explained how Siri’s recordings are being used. “Help Improve ‌Siri‌ and Dictation by allowing Apple to store and review audio of your ‌Siri‌ and Dictation interactions on this iPhone and on any connected Apple Watch or HomePod. You can change this later in the settings for each device.
This data is not associated with your Apple ID, and will only be stored for a limited period.”

Within the Settings app, there is a privacy section in which you will find an option to turn off the “Improve ‌Siri‌ & Dictation”. Also, you will now get an option to entirely delete Siri’s recordings within the Siri‌ section of the Settings app.

”Delete ‌Siri‌ & Dictation interactions currently associated with this iPhone from Apple servers. Data that has been sampled to help improve ‌Siri‌ and Dictation is no longer associated with this iPhone and will not be deleted.”

Apple AR headset might release in second quarter of 2020

0

Well, this has been one of the focus points for Apple since quite some time. AR is a big deal for the Cupertino based company and them innovating something big in the augmented reality circuit will be huge. Rumours had been rife that Apple will launch its AR headset sometime in 2020, but now reports have emerged that we can see an AR headset by Apple as early as the second quarter of 2020.

A report was tipped by the main chassis supplier that has sparked all this and we might see the headset coming to life at Apple WWDC 2019. Which is a hot-cold situation if you ask us. Since at WWDC Apple only talks about apps and operating systems. However, this could be a first in a move that they will showcase a hardware product at the event or at least talk about it. There have been several reports and leaks in the past, which have spoken about the upcoming Apple AR headsets.

Some of them showcased really futuristic designs, however, latest on the rumour mill does say that we can see something like a Google Glass, but more like spectacles and not just a frame with a small screen on the side. If all this is true then the consumers are in for a treat with Apple AR Headset. As this will revolutionise not just the consumer market, but also the retail market. For example, a consumer shopping for clothes online or offline does not need to step into the store, left alone the changing room.

With the help of the Apple AR headset, one can see themselves wearing the piece of apparel. Same is the case with furniture, you can just pick and place the sofa in your room before buying. Gaming will be another big aspect of the headsets. Features of the headset will include the screen only system on the glasses. The rest will be taken up the iPhone smartphone or the iPad. Which means for processing and storage the Apple AR headset might use the A13 Bionic or previous chipset on the Apple iPhone. And we all have seen how powerful the last two generations of the Bionic chipsets are.
