Microsoft says that the rollout will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. This means the new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of the device and other factors that impact the upgrade experience.
Microsoft is expected to offer a free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022 to all eligible devices. Those who are eligible for the update will be notified through a Windows update when it is accessible for download. You can also check to see if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates.
The company stated, “if you’re in need of a new PC now — don’t wait. You can get all the power and performance of a new Windows 10 PC and upgrade to Windows 11 for free after the rollout begins on October 5.”

The whole interface has been redesigned from the new Start Button to sound, font and icons; everything has been refreshed with new placements and new features. The company has already made it clear of the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. The all-new Windows 11 will require 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC). This will include Intel Core, Pentium, Evo chipsets, AMD’s Ryzen chipsets and others. Moreover, this is mandatory for the system to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Whereas Windows 10 should at least have 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. The system should have DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x (Intel, Nvidia, and AMD) with a 9 inch bigger display with an HD resolution of 720P.
