With privacy is at the heart of Messenger, Facebook has now announced App Lock and new privacy and security features that give its users more control to be with the people who matter the most via a message, video chat, call or a Messenger Room. The feature is available on iPhone and iPad and will come to Android in the next few months.
According to Facebook, App Lock enables the users to add another layer of security to their private messages and helps prevent other people from accessing them. This optional feature gives them the confidence to know that if a friend or family member needs to borrow their phone, they won’t be able to access the chats.
Moreover, Facebook’s App Lock uses the device’s privacy settings like fingerprint or face authentication to unlock the Messenger app, and the touch or face ID is not transmitted to or stored by Facebook.
Facebook users can find this feature in the new Privacy settings section. The Privacy section makes it easy to access settings and features like the audience for their stories, muted stories and blocked people. “App Lock and the Privacy section let you tailor your experience and choose settings that work best for you. We’re always working to give you more control over your privacy, so as we introduce more privacy features, you’ll have this centralized place to find them,” said Jay Sullivan, Director of Product Management, Messenger Privacy and Safety.
“People tell us that they want more controls over their inbox and calls. That’s why we’re working on new controls so you can decide who can message or call you directly, who goes to your requests folder, and who can’t message or call you at all. This will be similar to the message controls on Instagram, and we’ll share more details when we start testing these controls,” added Sullivan.
Facebook is also exploring more ways to protect the privacy and safety when someone they don’t know sends them a message. The Mark Zuckerberg-owned social media giant will also be testing a feature similar to what exists on Instagram and WhatsApp that blurs images in your message requests folder. This way, the Facebook users have the choice to view an image from someone they may not know before replying to the message or blocking or reporting the account.

HP has been building printers for decades and the experience, and precision shows in every new unit. Recently HP launched the Smart Tank series and we got to tinker with the HP Smart Tank 515 printer. We spent quite a few days with it to understand it well. Did it impress us? Yes, at various levels. Let’s find out more about the printer in this review.
In This Article
HP Smart Tank 515 printer design and setup
Out of the box, dressed in black and grey, it looks like any other printer that comes from brand HP, but in a slightly larger size. However, do not get duped by the size, this printer is not heavy at all. It is actually not just a printer, but an all in one. It has a scan bed on top that can hold a single A4 sheet to scan it in colour or black and white. You can directly give the print command from the console present on the top front of the printer. It also has the power button as well as the single colour LED display here.
Setting up the HP Smart Tank 515 printer and loading the ink is very easy (just follow the simple manual as we did). Since this printer is a smart tank printer you get two sets of ink loads here. One is in the form of bottles (CMYK) that you need to unload into the ink tanks that are located in the front and the other goes into the printer from the front middle panel. These the regular ink cartridges you get for HP Deskjet printers. But here is the kicker, these cartridges get colours from the ink tanks as well. Hence the word Smart Tank. The power and USB sockets are located at the back; however, we did not go for the USB setup.
We went for the Wireless setup on the HP Smart Tank 515 printer, which is super easy. Just head over the HP website and download the HP smart software and follow the on-screen instructions. In 3-4 steps we were done, up and running.
Performance
The HP Smart Tank 515 printer is a performer. From the get-go, it gave us great prints. We gave it some really radical images to print and it delivered with extreme precision. It is a sophisticated piece of machinery. So, we quickly moved to test it further. At draft setting, we got 18 pages per minute (PPM). In the colour mode, this came down to 12. In normal mode, we got black prints at 8 PPM and colour prints were clocked at 3.5 PPM. All of them were with A4 sheets.
At the best setting, the HP Smart Tank 515 printer does take extra time. We got a print out in 1.5 minutes. Which is high compared to a laser printer, but when compared to Deskjet it is very comparable. Considering the kind of sharpness and colour accuracy it has, we did not mind the wait. The blacks were deep and colours come out vibrant. To tell you frankly, we were really impressed with it.
Coming to the scan speeds, we could scan 2 PPM of A4 sheets. The scans can be taken in up to 1200 dpi (dots per inch) resolution. Here the HP Smart Tank 515 printer did not disappoint either. Scans were accurate and one can even save the scan to PDF directly. Users can also print directly from their mobiles (Android and iOS). The HP smart print app can be downloaded on the mobile phone and prints from the mobile device can be sent directly to the printer (wirelessly). Just remember to be on the same Wi-Fi network for the prints to go through.
Verdict
All in all, the HP Smart Tank 515 printer is one of the best ink tank printers out there. You get large in tanks, so the worry of refilling goes away. It is eco friendly too. It uses only 3.12 watt of power when it is in ready mode and 0.75 watts when it is sleep mode. The paper tray can hold up to 100 A4 sheets and the printer can print different paper types as well as lower sizes including an envelope. At a price of Rs 14,999, the HP Smart Tank 515 printer might seem to be on the higher side of things, however, with low-cost prints you end up saving on the regular cartridge change costs. Plus did we mention the prints are spectacular?

While the Rs 199 Mobile Plan per month allows a subscriber to use only one smartphone, what lacks here is that this mobile-only plan doesn’t support Netflix content on a bigger screen.
On the other hand, Netflix Rs 499 Basic Plan per month, which also supports a single screen, can be accessed on a smartphone, TV, laptop or tablet. Mind you! This plan supports content in HD similar to the mobile-only plan.
As far as the Netflix Rs 649 Standard Plan per month is concerned, it supports two screens that includes mobile and TV. This HD streaming can be accessed on laptop, TV, smartphone and tablet. In addition, Netflix Rs 799 Premium Plan per month supports four screens. This HD and Ultra HD streaming can be used on laptop, mobile, TV and tablet.
Recently, Netflix has also unveiled an exciting lineup of 17 original stories, including six new films and two new series. From thrillers to romantic comedies to light-hearted dramas, this unparalleled and diverse collection of entertaining stories will launch on Netflix in the coming months.
Expressing excitement to share the lineup of 17 original stories across formats and multiple genres, Monika Shergill, VP-Content, Netflix India said, “We know our members have unique tastes, moods and needs – sometimes, they want to lean back and watch a delightful comedy, and at other times, they want a pulse-pounding thriller that brings them to the edge of their seats. We are so proud to bring these diverse stories created by acclaimed and emerging storytellers and producing partners.”
With this, Netflix wants to give its subscriber something to discover and love on its streaming platform every day.

Moreover, the 20:9 screen ratio makes the phone slimmer and more information-loaded. In addition, the classic realme 6i 3-card slot design simultaneously supports two SIM cards and one Micro-SD card, allowing to customize your storage while enjoying dual-card use.
We will bring you more updates once the device gets launched in India. Stay tuned!

Our Take
Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 8 comes with similar pricing but Redmi Note 9 is a bit cheaper than both the devices. But in terms of specifications, the biggest difference is the processor. The Pro variant has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor that comes with the country’s first navigation system ‘NavIC’ that the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset does not offer. In addition to this, the resolution of the front camera is also higher than the vanilla variant but the rear camera details are just similar. In short, we would say Note 9 Pro is powerful among the three smartphones. If pricing is your bigger concern then you can go for Note 9 else ours pick is Note 9 Pro.

OnePlus has been working on this AR launch for a while now. Naturally, the best way to experience the smartphone on July 21 is with the OnePlus Nord AR App. However, the company claims that as it has understood not all of devices support the app, therefore it has partnered with a little YouTuber you might have heard of – Unbox Therapy – who will be live streaming the entire Nord launch on YouTube, and the OnePlus Nord AR page.
Besides Unbox Therapy, OnePlus has also collaborated with content creators in France, Germany, Spain, and Italy who will also be live streaming the Nord launch in their respective languages. Here’s a full list with links to their live stream platforms:

According to Carl Pie, co-founder of OnePlus, “The rest of the Nord team and I are incredibly excited to make history with you. But before all that, we just wanted to outline exactly how this AR launch is going to work. We felt this was necessary because, well, the world has never seen a new smartphone like this before.”
Carl further added that to experience Nord on July 21, there’s a few things you need to do beforehand.
Download the OnePlus Nord AR App, available from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store
Create your avatar (or skip this if you’re boring)
Wait until July 21 for the full experience
On the other hand, Carl added that those OnePlus fans who have Nord AR Cardboard can kickstart their AR experience before July 21, though. They simply need to follow these steps:
Pull out the cardboard phone tucked away in your limited physical invite
Scan its QR code using your device’s native camera app (if you’re using a device running Android 9.0 or newer), or any other app that can scan QR codes
View the live countdown to the OnePlus Nord smartphone AR launch
Mind you! OnePlus notified that if you don’t have the Nord AR Cardboard, you can always make your own, then follow the steps mentioned above to watch OnePlus Nord smartphone launch.
In order to make your own Nord AR Cardboard, all you need to do is follow these five DIY steps:
Ensure you print the document to scale and in colour
Print it (the thicker the paper the better)
Feel free to stick the printed image to a piece of cardboard
Enjoy the full Nord AR experience!
OnePlus, then, added, “Once you’ve printed your Nord AR Cardboard, scan the QR code to download the Nord AR App available from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.”
