Motorola officially launches Moto Watch 100 offering two weeks of battery life
Motorola, which is owned by Lenovo, is gradually expanding its portfolio. Following its entry into the television and industries, the company is now building a reputation for itself in the smart wearable domain with the launch of another smartwatch. The firm has launched the Moto Watch 100 featuring a circular dial. It comes with a heart rate sensor and SpO2. In addition, the Motorola smartwatch is claimed to last for up to 14 days when fully charged.

TCL, a Chinese electronics firm has announced the TCL TV Days Sale on Amazon. The majority of the company’s televisions, including Mini LED, 4K QLED, and Smart TVs will be discounted. The sale is now live on the e-commerce platform and will last until November 20 in the country.  A wide range of TCL TVs including some of the latest launches will also be available for sale. Apart from this, several other models of TVs available in various screen sizes will also be put on sale.

C825 Mini LED

Even if the C825 Mini LED is available in a variety of sizes, the company will only offer 55-inch and 65-inch models of Mini LED TV.  They are available for Rs 1,05,999 and Rs 1,47,999, respectively.  TCL Mini LED QLED 4K C825 supports Dolby Vision IQ and has a 120HZ MEMC.  There is a Game Master with a dedicated HDMI 2.1 port for gamers.  The TV promises a wide colour gamut performance, as well as a high contrast ratio and HDR. C815 4K QLED

The 55-inch and 65-inch C815 4K QLED televisions are now available for Rs 59,999 and Rs 79,999, respectively. The C715 4K QLED has the same specifications as the C815. The 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch models will cost Rs 46,999, Rs 52,999, and Rs 92,999, respectively.

P725 4K LED

For superior video quality, the P725 4K LED includes the iPQ Engine, MEMC, and Dolby Vision. There is Dolby Atmos support, as well as a video call camera and hands-free voice control. During the TCL TV Days Sale, the 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch TVs are priced at Rs 62,999, Rs 72,999 and Rs 87,999, respectively.

SuperGaming began teasing Squid Game inspired modes for Silly World earlier this month. It has now finally rolled out Red Light, Green Light for the Silly World’s Squid Royale. Notably, the dedicated mode will be available for a limited time period however the developers will be introducing more modes from the most popular Netflix series.  While announcing the in-game mode SuperGaming said, “The ‘Red Light, Green Light’ game from the Netflix show, ‘Squid Game’ is now in made-in-India social deduction game Silly World in the form of Squid Royale, a limited-time mode that will host other games from the popular show.”   Those who are unaware Silly World is a multiplayer game developed by Pune based studio Super Gaming who have also developed MaskGun.  As we told you it is a multiplayer game it can support up to 12 players. They can create their own avatar and this game also allows voice chat and emoticons for communications between players. There are many free Squid Game-inspired games in Silly World’s Squid Royale. According to the latest survey done by NortonLifeLock more than 4 in 5 Indian gamers have experienced a cyberattack. The survey has been conducted by The Harris Poll. In India, 75 percent of Indian gamers were impacted with the most common detection of malicious software and unauthorised access to an online gaming account on their devices.  The 2021 Norton Cyber Safety report said that among 703 Indian adults who play online games, three-quarters of surveyed Indian gamers have experienced a cyberattack on their gaming account, with the most common detecting malicious software on a gaming device and identified unauthorised access to an online gaming account. More than four in five which is 81 percent of those who experienced a cyberattack, also reported financial consequences with an average loss of Rs 7,894.  According to Nortan’s report, gamers are also willing to take risks with their own or others’ security in order to gain a competitive advantage. According to the findings, 2 in 5 Indian gamers would hack into the account of a friend, family member, or partner if they knew it would give them a competitive advantage.  In India 56 percent of respondents say they are at least somewhat likely to exploit a loophole or bug in a game to gain a competitive advantage and roughly 2 in 5 or more would consider paying to take possession of another user’s gaming account, installing cheats on their gaming account or gaming device or hacking into a random player’s gaming account.  Reportedly more than 6 in 10 gamers in India (62%) say they picked up gaming during the COVID-19 pandemic and many (60%) say the amount of time they spend gaming has increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is also stated that more than 2 in 5 gamers have been duped into jeopardising their personal security either by downloading malware onto a gaming device or being duped into sharing account information online. It should be noted that one in every five gamers has been doxed. (i.e., had personal information stolen and posted/shared publicly online, without their consent). Nearly 3 in 4 Indian gamers (72%) say that they would never fall for a gaming scam, and more than half (53%) agree that they don’t give much thought, if any, to the security of their gaming devices. Ritesh Chopra, Director Sales and Field Marketing, India & SAARC Countries, NortonLifeLock said, “Our report reveals that online gaming is not all about fun and games. In the virtual field, we must take precautions to protect the information we share, to avoid becoming vulnerable to cyberattacks. With online gaming, come concerns including hidden fees and in-game currency, characters, or other items being lost or stolen, as our survey showed to be the case for over half of respondents (fees, 60%; in-game items, 58%). Krafton in its announcement said, “Staying true to its zero-tolerance policy towards cheaters, KRAFTON Inc.,  the South Korean video gaming giant, has removed 25 Lakh accounts in just over a month to eradicate cheating on Battlegrounds Mobile India”.  It should be noted that since its last announcement between October 1 and November 10, Krafton has banned 25,19,692 accounts permanently and 7,06,319 accounts temporarily. To combat cheating, the South Korean developer has also listed out the steps taken to remove cheaters from Battlegrounds Mobile India who were using unfair means to beat out other players, therefore, undermining the overall experience. 

Here are the steps taken by Krafton to remove cheaters from Battlegrounds Mobile India:

  • More powerful cheat detection and banning mechanism, which allowed the system to follow cheaters in real-time and ban users who used unlawful methods.
  • Permabans, which replaced all interim bans with permanent bans, leaving no possibility for a second chance.
  • Manual verification and banning of accounts that use or promote illegal programs among high-rankers. The team is monitoring such accounts in real-time and banning them permanently if any illegal program is traced.
  • Real-time monitoring of YouTube for any channels that promote illegal programs and blocking the channels immediately and if any cases are found.
So if gamers are using cheat tools or any other unfair means in BGMI they will be banned at some point if not immediately. The developer also advises players not to give access to their accounts. Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 4 to its Galaxy S21 Series smartphone. That is based on Android 11. The new OS is now released for all the models of the S21 series which includes Galaxy S221, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The new software upgrade brings the latest privacy features as well as customisations that will enhance the overall user experience. As of now the new Android upgrade is being pushed out for the company’s existing flagship series S21 and will be made available to other devices in the next few months.  Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform Team at Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics said, “We are committed to giving everyone access to the best mobile experiences possible, as soon as possible. One UI 4 delivers on that promise, equipping Galaxy smartphone users with the latest customization and privacy features. But we won’t stop there. According to the company, it has started rolling out One UI 4 based on Android 12 starting with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series. Today the firm has announced the addition of a new Samsung Galaxy A32 8GB RAM variant in India. The phone was earlier available in a single 6GB RAM with 128GB storage options. The smartphone features a 90Hz AMOLED display. It comes with a 64MP quad rear camera set up and a 5,000mAh battery.

The official launch date for Redmi Note 11T 5G has been officially declared. The new smartphone is set to launch in India on November 20. The device is thought to be a rebranded version of Redmi Note 11 5G which was launched in India last month. The device is said to be provided in three different configurations of 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 128GB memory and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage options. Leaks suggest that the Redmi Note 11T 5G will come in three colour options of Stardust White, Matte Balck and Aquamarine Blue. Apart from this, the device will equip a dual rear camera set that will include a 50-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. Upfront there will be a 16-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calling. We reported last month that Motorola is preparing to launch a new wearable called the Moto Watch 100 in collaboration with CE Brands. After the revelation of an investor report from CE Brand, the renders of the upcoming wearable have been leaked on the web.  The device will feature a metallic finish with a circular display. The silicone strap will have a striped texture on it. Whereas on the features front it will have GPS support and will also bear heart rate sensors and more. According to leaked renders, Moto Watch 100 will come with a waterproof design. It will have a metallic finish with an aluminium casing and the back of the smartwatch will be made of plastic. The renders only show the black colour variant however the smart wearable will arrive in more colour and strap options to choose from.

As said, there will be a circular design display with a simple design and two buttons on the side of the frame. The alleged Moto Watch 100 is said to come with a silicone strap with a striped design. The Motorola Watch is said to lack a rotating bezel.   Speaking more on the design, the renders also indicate that Moto Watch 100 will feature a 1.3-inch LCD display offering a resolution of 360×360. The purported device is estimated to weigh 29 grams and would measure 42x46x11.9mm. The width of the smartwatch is said to be 20mm.  In addition to this, the Motorola smartwatch is said to include a 354mAh battery and would have Bluetooth Version 5 support for connectivity. Not just this the wearable will get in-built GPS support. Apart from this, the health sensor on the device is most likely to include a heart sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, SPO2, and ambient light sensor.

But in a new development, the marketing images of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE have been leaked ahead of the official announcement. In addition to this, the smartphone’s full specifications have also been fully revealed.  According to the shared images by CoinBRS which are believed to be marketing images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE the phone will be featuring a 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. The screen is likely to support a refresh rate of 120Hz and will arrive with Corning Gorilla protection. More on the aesthetics, the phone is said to come with a triple rear camera set up similar to the standard Galaxy S21. There is a punch hole cut out located on the top centre of the front screen. The power and volume buttons are shown on the right side of the frame. While the bottom part has a USB Type-C port and speakers. Reportedly, the Fan Edition of Galaxy S21 FE will arrive in four different colours to choose from- black, cream, lavender and white.

The report also claims that Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be powered by both Exynos and Qualcomm processors. You might get the option of the one with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC or either Exynos 2100 SoC depending on the markets, The one with the Qualcomm processor might include Mali G78 GPU on the other hand the 888 processor could provide Adreno 660 GPU for graphics. Both the variants might be offered with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage option. The phone could be shipped with Samsung’s OneUI over Android 11 out of the box.

Reliance Jio has collaborated with MediaTek to launch the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Tournament in the country. The company has announced Gaming Master 2.0 for both pro and amateur players with no participation fee and is a free to participate event. The esports tournament will give them the opportunity to win exciting prizes worth Rs 12.5 lakh.    The company commented, “Jio and MediaTek have joined hands to launch ‘Gaming Masters 2.0’, an esports event with one of the most popular game titles, BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), targeted at new and existing online gaming enthusiasts and the professional gamers in India.” Earlier this year, the first season of Gaming Master which features Garena Free Fire, drew over 14,000 team registrations. The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Tournament will begin on November 23, 2021.  Gaming Master 2.0 is a free to participate event as there is no participation fee. In its latest update, Instagram has rolled out a very important feature for the creator. The popular social media platform is getting two new features: Text-to-speech and Voice effect. Both the audio tools can also be found on Tik Tok. The new feature is now accessible in the Reels camera.  The company via community post said, “Attention Reels creators! We know that using sound and audio is one of the funniest aspects of creating a 🔥 Reel! So today we’re launching two new audio tools called Voice Effects and Text to Speech. Swipe through to learn more about how to use them to take your Reels to the next level.” Text-to-speech is a feature allowing Instagram creators to make use of an artificial or robotic voice to read the text instead of their own voice in the short video. On the other hand, Voice Effects can only be used to modify the audio as well as a voiceover in the Reels.  Instagram Text-to-speech The text-to-speech feature is accessible via the text tool in the Reels Camera After you have recorded or uploaded a video head to preview to add text. While adding text, a text bubble will appear at the end of the screen letting users specify when they want that text to appear.  However, the menu for each text bubble can be opened by tapping a three-dot icon. This gives creators more options to add Text-to-speech voiceover which gives you two options.

  • Open the Instagram app and go to the Reels camera.
  • Record a video or upload via gallery.
  • Using the Text Tool, add text to the video.
  • Tap the text bubble to access the three-dot menu on the sticker, and select Text to Speech.
  • You will have two voice options to select from.
  • Post your Reels when finished.
On the other hand, the Instagram voice effect will allow you to change the audio or voiceover in reels. In order to access it, open the audio mixer by tapping the music note after you are done recording. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has revised the price of two of its popular budget devices in India. Redmi 9A and Redmi 9A Sport price has been increased by Rs 300. The former one was released in India last year whereas the latter one arrived in the market in September this year.  To recall, a significant proportion of smartphone components saw a price increase due to current supply shortages. Therefore most of the companies, Xiaomi, Redmi, Vivo, Oppo, Samsung and others could not avoid but increase the price of some of their models. To recall most of the budget devices by Redmi saw a price hike after global chipset shortages and the most popular of them was the Redmi Note 10 series.  On the recent price revision Xiaomi’s spokesperson stated, “Due to massive demand-supply mismatch, the majority of components used in smartphones have seen an upward movement in their prices. Unfortunately, due to such market dynamics, a surge in price is inevitable and it is further leading to a price hike on some of our models. At Xiaomi India, we strongly believe in honest pricing and will continue to do our best to make the most value-for-money smartphones for all our Fans and consumers.” After the fresh price hike, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9A Sport have become pricier by Rs 300. The Redmi 9A 2GB and 2GB RAM options were earlier retailing at Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,999 and now they will be available at Rs 7,299 and Rs 8,299 respectively. On the other hand, the 2GB and 3GB RAM options of the Redmi 9A Sports were earlier sold at Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,999. But after the price increase both the models will come at Rs 7,299 and Rs 8,299 respectively. It should be noted that the price of the other configurations remains unchanged.
