How to create your own cryptocurrency?

With the rise of the crypto market, you might be tempted to start your own currency as well. Well, the theory says anyone in this world can create a cryptocurrency. But the true side is that you need proper knowledge and resources to accomplish this task. Just creating a cryptocurrency is not sufficient, there is a lot of work to do later, which includes promotion, listing on exchanges, and ongoing maintenance and upgrade. If you have planned it all, let’s get started on the first step of your cryptocurrency journey.

Understanding Cryptocurrency to start

Under cryptocurrency, the blanket falls into two things, a coin and a token. Coins are basically big players in the crypto world who have their own blockchain and work as an independent work body. While a token functions on top of already established blockchain technology. Etherium is a good example of a blockchain used by many tokens. Tokens usually have contracts with the blockchain for specific utility values.  BAT coin is a perfect example in this case as it rewards content creators through brave browsers. These tokens are further divided into two parts NFTs( Non-fungible tokens), which are based on the Ethereum blockchain and DeFi tokens. NFTs are used to represent a unique piece of digital property, like artwork, MP3, video and more.  On the other hand, DeFi is used for private keys and it is also based on the Ethereum blockchain platform. Right now Solana is also gaining popularity with its own blockchain technology(not a piece of financial advice).

Ways to create Cryptocurrency

There are three ways that can be used while creating a cryptocurrency.
  • Create a new blockchain – Require a professional level of coding skills and needs pre-existing knowledge.
  • Bifurcate an existing Blockchain –  This is easier as you need a smaller amount of crafting skills and the codes are readily available on platforms like GitHub. You can take those codes, alter them and make a new coin.
  • Using a platform –  If you are not at all familiar with coding use a pre-existing platform like using the ERC-20 standard for the Ethereum network. The service does all the work and hands you the final project.

Step by step procedure

Step 1 – Decide a consensus Mechanism (A protocol that helps to confirm if the blockchain and node will accept the transaction or not. Proof-of-work and Proof-of-Stake is a prime example). Step 2 – Choose a blockchain(from the above ways). Step 3 – Create node (This will determine the functioning of the blockchain with many aspects to consider from hardware details to permission from the blockchain). Step 4 – Build a blockchain architecture (What functions does the coin or token will do as once the purpose is fed in the program and the crypto is launched there is no going back). Step 5 – Integrate APIs (it is an application programming interface that will show the functioning of your cryptocurrency, not all the crypto have API so it will make you stand out from the market). Step 6 – Design interface (Interface consists of web services, files and transfer protocols for both the front and backend). Step 7 – Legalise your coin (before launching the crypto, make sure to check the law and regulations regarding the registration process to make the coin legally yours). There are a lot of aspects to be known and sub-points to be covered. We advise you to know all the technical aspects and what needs to be done once your cryptocurrency is launched. If these processes seem like a big hassle, it’s better to consider investing in cryptocurrency rather than making a new one on your own. How to mine cryptocurrency?

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are making huge hype in the market. You often hear the term Crypto mining when someone talks about cryptocurrency. Many are drawn towards the cryptocurrency ecosystem as it is secured and very lucrative. Along with that, it can be profitable if you can mine them with your powerful computer system without paying any charges to a middleman.  At the current time mining bitcoin is a hard job with lots of investment needed in it so many people do not move towards doing it. But what users can do is mine fiats, which are relatively easy to obtain and exchange them for other big cryptocurrencies. To begin with, let’s talk about what crypto mining is. About Crypto Mining

It is a process in which a miner gains cryptocurrency by solving cryptographic equations with the use of high computation power. The formula is set specifically for encryption. The solving process involves verifying data blocks and adding transaction records to a  blockchain, which is a public ledger and is secured by applying complex encryption techniques.  Cryptocurrencies use a decentralised method of distribution and for verification of each transaction, it takes the help of cryptographic algorithms. As soon as you solve the puzzle and obtain a coin, it is posted in the blockchain ledger. For all the pain miners take, they are paid with cryptocurrency. The first miner to solve the complex problem and show the transaction process gets the cryptocurrency as a reward and the amount is entered in the blockchain ledger.

How to mine

The first thing on your bucket list should be a powerful computer or a system. The next thing is to create a wallet, be it hardware or software to keep your cryptocurrency and make a pool to accelerate profitability. A pool is basically a set of many small miners to share resources and earn big. The profit created by the pool is evenly distributed. The mining process is complex for the addition of new blocks of transactions into the blockchain.  Talking about the blockchain it is a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated to provide it to each and everyone across the network. For example, if there is any change in the ledger, everyone in the network will come to know about it. The records in the blockchain are signed by an immutable cryptographic signature called the hash.  There are further steps in a blockchain when there is an authentication request. The request is called a block, which is sent in the network to the verification code. The nodes then verify the transactions and add the block in the chain while giving the traction details to everyone in the network. mine cryptocurrency in India Read Also: How to buy cryptocurrency? For mining, the equations are solved, which consist of random data that goes into the block. The block is encrypted by SHA256(encryption method) with an amount of 0‘s. The more the number of zeros the harder the equation is to solve, plus harder equations provide more returns.  A new bitcoin hash is added every 10 minutes and the outcome of a particular hash is unknown. This makes the process very complicated and difficult to reach the target hash. The reason why people are shifting towards GPU processing power rather than CPU is the reason. There is also correction between many cryptocurrencies so no single authority becomes so powerful that it starts to run slow. As soon as the proof of work is shown a new block with the currency you earned is added to the blockchain. This also avoids other miners to cheat.

Bonus: Mining in India

The mining process has increased a lot in India. The country is becoming one of the fastest-growing countries with miners and traders as well. There are companies like Easify Network providing mining facilities and helping in blockchain development. Though mining is not very profitable in India. For mining, we require a lot of computation power as the system needs to be turned on 24/7.  With the rise of electricity costs in recent years, the profit margin is reducing. Adding to this is also lack of equipment availability, so to get any type of equipment, users need to pay extra import charges, further reducing the profit. Also, the inexplicit rules by the government make it risky. Many big companies have faced losses in the past due to the inconsistency of laws. Top 7 ways to find your local and external IP address (2024)

The IP of your device is an important and critical piece of information that you either don’t know or you don’t think about too often. There are times when you might need to get access. Some prime examples of this are when you need to access your NAS box to explore content, run a server based on WEB or connect to a self-made VPN. To do any of this one needs to know about Internal and external IP and how it works. Check out how to find your local and external IP address as well.

External and Internal IP addresses

The term IP address is branched into 2 categories the first one is an internal IP address and the second one is an external IP address. Internal IP is a specific address given by your local network to all internal devices. For example, your router puts out different internal IPs for each device so it can distinguish between the devices that are connected to it. While on the other hand, an external IP is for the World Wide Web to know about the network of your router. This lets the online web identify each router as a separate device. In other words, we can also say external IP is an internal IP on a larger scale for the service providers. Now the question comes, how to find your IP address whether it’s external or internal? Here is how you can do it. Read Also: How to change the IP Address on a PC or a smartphone?

Find external IP address

external IP address Visit WhatIsMyIP.com, it will tell you your IPV4 address as well as the newer IPV6 address. Want to know the basic IPV4? Visit ipconfig.me. For now, all the cases use IPV4 as an address but in the near future, everyone will simply shift to IPV6 as it is a more advanced version.

Find External IP address using your router

use router You can also find your device’s external IP address by using your WiFi router’s gateway page. You can access this page by entering 192.168.1.1 on your web browser’s address bar. Some routers may have customised suites for management. Once you have logged in, you can find your IP address in the general tab.

Use a third-party app

use third party app There are dedicated third-party apps that can help you manage your router and also let you know what your IP address is. Apps like Fing and All Router Admin allow you to view your WiFi router history, change its password, remove devices from the network and carry out other management tasks. If you’re looking for something more straightforward, use the IP Finder app to find your device’s external IP address.

Find internal IP

Finding an internal address is not as simple as clicking on some hyperlinks, for each device it is different.
  • For Windows

Internal IP for windows Open Command Prompt from the Windows search. Input the command ipconfig in the command line. You will see the details in front of you.
  • For MAC

Internal IP on MAC Click on the apple icon on the top left corner of your screen. Open system preference>network. Select the type of network you are in.
  • For Android

  • For iPhone

Acer P Series Android TV (42-inches) review: Quite good for the price

0
Acer is a Taiwanese company that is famous for exceptional laptops and computer products. Now they have licensed their brand to Indkal Technologies who are producing Acer brand of TVs in India. The licensee has launched the P series of Android driven smart TVs. We got to play around with the 42-inch Acer smart television, and this is our review of the Acer P Series Android TV.

Acer P Series Android TV review: Design

Out of the box, the Acer P Series Android TV is like any of the usual LED TVs you get in the price bracket. Thin black bezels, V-Type twin footings and a weight of under 6 Kg is what you get. The TV can be placed on a table or can be wall-mounted (wall mounts are not part of the package). Acer branding in chrome can be seen under the large 42-inch display upfront. Beneath that is where the company has placed the IR receiver and the LED off light. Behind which you will find the power button as well. All the connectivity ports on the Acer P Series Android TV are side-mounted, facing the right side of the TV and not the usual left. The attachment ports include two HDMI, two USB, one Ethernet, one 3.5mm audio out, one 3.5mm aux to composite (adaptor included in the box), and one antenna port. Acer-P-Series-Android-TV-ports Most of the functions of the TV can be accessed using the ergonomically correct IR remote control. The remote is voice-enabled and once you set up the Google Assistant it can do everything from searching and playing your favourite show on Netflix, to searching for a recipe on YouTube. The remote also has dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and TikiTV (here you get some free global channels, basically free online TV). Acer-P-Series-Android-TV-remote

Acer P Series Android TV review: Performance

Setting up the Acer P Series Android TV is not hard at all. Just turn on the TV and follow the onscreen instructions and if you already have a Gmail account, which most of us do, you will be up and running in 5 minutes. The TV has WiFi capability as well and connects to any router. Talking a bit more about the tech specs of the Acer P Series Android TV, this smart telly has a 64-bit Quad-Core CPU, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB Storage and 24W (12W x 2) speakers that are downward-firing hidden under the TV. The TV also supports Dolby audio and Pure sound. The LED screen resolution is 1,920 x 1080p (FHD), which supports 350 nits of peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. When put on the test bench the Acer P Series Android TV did surprise us. We were not expecting this good a picture. There are plenty of display presets available like Movie and dynamic, and each does justice to the onscreen moving pictures. When you press the volume keys on the remote a special audio menu also appears to choose the audio genre you are listening to. This automatically equalises the Hz frequency. Acer-P-Series-Android-TV-sound-mode The TV takes about a minute to start, which is a bit high when compared to the rest of the smart TVs in the bracket. Less RAM could be blamed for it. However, when the Android for TV OS 10 fully loads everything runs very smoothly. The apps open quickly, you can switch between them swiftly and the load time for any movie or show from places like Netflix, YouTube or Prime video is low. The colours portrayed by the TV are on point and you do not see any ghosting or noise on the Acer P Series Android TV. IT has a special digital noise reduction feature as well, which reduce grains intelligently. The blacks are deep and no matter what you want to view, a sports game or your daily soap, this TV will do justice. Moreover, the sound is incredibly powerful on this TV. Not once did we feel that we needed a soundbar to be connected to this TV. The remote functions well and picks up all the audio commands using Google assistant nicely. We did not face any issues here either. Acer-P-Series-Android-TV-screen

Verdict

All the popular formats like MP3, MPEG 4 are supported via USB pendrive as well. The Acer P Series Android TV consumes just 75 watts of power when in ‘on mode’. A lot of apps are preloaded and many more can be downloaded in the 4.5 GB of free storage (out of the total 8 GB). At Rs 21,999 Acer has got themselves a winner. It might be a new brand in the TV segment, but the Acer branding puts a lot of trust in this one. You can buy it without thinking twice.

Pros

Excellent picture quality Superb 3D sound Good remote

Cons

Not 4K Takes a wee bit long to turn on Little more RAM would be perfect For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on TwitterFacebook and Instagram. For newest tech & gadget videos subscribe to our YouTube Channel. OnePlus Nord 2 5G review: Almost perfection

OnePlus Nord 2 5G is the latest offering by the Chinese technology company in India. Available at a starting price of Rs 27,999, the smartphone offers a lot. It has an impressive set of cameras, 5G connectivity and a powerful processor that adds AI capabilities. We spent a few days with it to find out if it’s worth a buy. Read our OnePlus Nord 2 5G review here to know its pros and cons:

OnePlus Nord 2 5G review: Design and Display

OnePlus Nord 2 5G is not very different from other devices in the company’s latest line-up when it comes to the design. The smartphone’s front panel is dominated by a 6.43-inch display that has a hole-punch camera towards its top-left. The screen is outlined by thin bezels on the sides, and the chin is slightly thicker than the rest. OnePlus Nord 2 5G 3 The display also has the on-screen fingerprint scanner embedded on it and the barely visible earpiece is placed on the centre top above the screen. Flip over, and you will see the textured glass back panel of the OnePlus Nord 2.  Both the front and the back of the device are protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The back panel houses the camera module on the top left and also has the OnePlus branding right in the centre. The edges of the smartphone are made up of plastic and while the right one has the Power button and the alert slider, while the left one has the Volume rocker keys. The bottom edge has the Type-C port, microphone, SIM tray and the speaker grilles, and the top edge has the secondary microphone. The device does not come with an IP rating, which is kind of disappointing because other handsets in the same price range do offer it. The smartphone is available in India in three colour options including Green Wood, Blue Haze and Grey Sierra, and the one that we got for review was dressed in green. Overall, we would say that the design of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is very pleasant and the built is sturdy. The phone is not a fingerprint magnet and the one-handed usage is quite easy on it. Nord Moving on, the smartphone sports a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz and comes with support for HDR10+. The colours were accurate and remained consistent at different viewing angles. The images were sharp and the brightness was apt. The sunlight readability was decent too. The overall experience with the display in fact was very good. We spent hours watching shows on Netflix during our time with the handset and the quality of the video was always great.

OnePlus Nord 2 5G review: Performance and Cameras

Let’s take a minute to speak about the rest of the specifications of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. The device is powered by Dimensity 1200-AI, which is basically the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, but the company claims to have enhanced the AI capabilities of the chipset. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage and houses a 4,500mAh battery. It also comes with a Warp Charge 65W charger in the box. OnePlus Nord 2 has support for 4G VoLTE, dual 5G, Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2. It runs Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.3 baked on top. OnePlus Nord 2 5G 2 Coming to the software, the smartphone strides is with the entire suite of Google apps along with Netflix preinstalled. There are a number of customisations available on the device like gestures, which made usage easier. Needless to say, the phone also has some apps from OnePlus’ own family of apps. The company has also promised two years of software updates and three years of security patches for the smartphone. Finally, let’s speak about the performance of the device. During our time with the smartphone, our experience with it was good and it ran smoothly. Most day-to-day tasks were a cakewalk for OnePlus Nord 2. The apps launched quickly and we switched between them with ease. We often used the device for multi-tasking. For instance, we used it for navigation and gaming simultaneously (needless to say, we weren’t driving!), and the device handled both the heavy tasks together with ease. Cameras Gaming was a decent experience on the OnePlus Nord 2. The handset performed well with lighter games like Temple Run 2 and Alto’s Odyssey, but once we started playing games like Asphalt 8, the battery started falling quicker than usual and the phone started warming up too. The biometric locks of the phone worked very well. The onscreen fingerprint sensor as well as the face recognition worked flawlessly when we were using the phone. OnePlus Nord 2 5G’s battery can easily pull off a day and a half with usage involving two active Instagram accounts, watching shows on Netflix and clicking pictures. In our opinion, this is quite a good battery performance. Moreover, the smartphone can get completely charged within 30 minutes using the Warp Charger in its box, which is another plus. Finally, let’s speak about the cameras. OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes with triple rear cameras including a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary lens that comes with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor that has a field of view of 119.7 degrees, and a 2MP mono lens. With the AI capabilities, the smartphone’s camera became quite a performer. For instance, the scene-detection was very impressive on the device. OnePlus Nord 2 5G image sample The images that we clicked with the primary camera during the day turned out to be great. The colours were accurate and the pictures had a good number of details. When we switched to the ultra-wide lens, the quality of the images fell a bit, but they were still nice, and needless to say, a lot more area was covered in the pictures. OnePlus Nord 2 5G image sample 2 We clicked some images using the Portrait mode too and they turned out to be good too. The phone allows the user to pre-set the level of blur for the images before they click a picture. The images taken at night were average, but the quality gets enhanced a lot with the Night Mode enabled. So, we highly recommend you to turn it on before taking pictures at night, and you won’t have a reason to complain. The device’s 32MP selfie camera did a great job too regardless of the lights around.

Verdict

OnePlus Nord 2, at a price of Rs 27,999, makes a good buy in every sense. The smartphone has smooth performance, an appealing design, and a vibrant display. Its cameras do a great job too. Gaming may not be the best experience, so maybe you can pick another device if that’s a priority for you. But other than this, OnePlus Nord 2 5G only impresses in every aspect. Pros
  • Appealing design
  • Good cameras
  • Vibrant display
Cons
  • Gaming could be better
  • No IP rating

Best way to use HDR mode to take photos on your iPhone

The HDR mode or High Dynamic Range is a feature that has been used in iPhones for a long time. It is an excellent feature that people tend to either forget or they don’t have adequate information about that. All they can see is turning on makes the image look sharper and turning off keeps the picture natural.  Well, not wrong, but there is more to it. This article will give a detailed glimpse of what HDR is and how it works. Also how to use it and when to, without further ado let’s get started.

What is HDR?

Dynamic range is the difference between the darkest and lightest regions of an image. Turning on or off the High Dynamic Range will result in capturing more light and shadows from the camera making the image look sharper and vivid. Turning it on in a more detailed scenario helps in creating a close to real representation of what we actually see. But using it in all situations is not good. To understand this even more we need to know how it works.

How does HDR work?

With HDR on the aperture of the camera stays open for a longer time capturing more light in the images. Also, multiple images are clicked in different exposure, the main reason why clicking HDR pictures take more time than clicking the normal ones. These multiple images are combined together creating a sharper and brighter image. The software of the phone enhances the darks and whites with details and colours making the image look closer to reality. Now, when to use or when not to use HDR? When to / When not to use HDR

When not to

  • High contrast scene – In the colourful environment, the HDR mode will try to balance the light of the image, making it look less vivid.
  • Moving object – The software of your iPhone merges many clicks together to create an HDR photo. If the blur is caught by the camera you will see the impact of it in the final results.
  • Vivid scenes – Depending on an individual’s taste but during a vivid environment, the software will enhance the colours to an extent that images will start to look unnatural.

When to

  • Landscapes – direct and bright sunlight can cause way too much contrast, using HDR will balance it by increasing the blacks.
  • Dim/dark light – The HDR mode will try to compensate with the darker image by adding some light to balance the whites in the photo.
  • Sharper image – Use HDR mode to get sharper images as the process captures multiple photos more details are covered in this mode.

How to turn on HDR mode in iPhones

On iPhone 8 and above –  Head to Settings>Camera>Smart HDR HDR mode in iPhone's setting Note – If “Keep Normal Photo” is turned on it will also save normal photos along with HDR once. HDR in previous iPhones On iPhone 7 and below – Just fire up the camera application and you will find the HDR option on the top of the Camera screen, tap it to toggle it on or off. iPhone 12 and 13 are capable of shooting Dolby Vision HDR videos as well, to turn them on head to Setting>Camera>Record Video> Turn on HDR Video.

How to find HDR photos

For example, if you clicked many pictures in both normal and HDR mode, how would you confirm which image is clicked in HDR mode? Fret not, Apple got you covered. Open the camera roll in your iPhone and you will see an HDR mentioned on the cornet of the Image for you to distinguish it between other images. CONFIRMED: Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones will not be released in India

0
Software Giant Google recently took the wraps off its flagship phones- Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro globally. The devices are currently available for pre-order in select countries and are scheduled to go on sale from October 28.  As of now, the company is making the flagship phones for pre-orders in 8 countries across the globe and that includes the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Japan and Taiwan. However, both Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro are not among the countries where the smartphone will be available. The company has itself confirmed that the latest Pixel phones will not be released in India in the near future. According to the company, a variety of factors that includes global supply chain issues are blamed for the absence of its flagship device from the Indian market. Also, pricing is another factor that Google may have taken into account choosing not to introduce flagship devices as the Indian market is majorly dominated by Chinese brands that are offering at a very lower price with which the Mountain View company cannot perform.  Will Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch in India? It should be noted that none of the company’s past flagship devices has been introduced in the country. Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4 are among them; however last year the company did launch the toned down Pixel 4A variant in India.  Of course, the company keeps on saying that a variety of factors are responsible for not launching its flagship phones but in our opinion, it is not a valid reason for not launching Google Pixel 6 series in the Indian market. The price of Google Pixel 6 starts at $599 which translates to Rs 44,971. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 6 Pro will be available at an asking price of $899, which converts to Rs 67,494. The Pixel 6 will be offered in Black, Red and Blue colour options, while the Pro variant will come in White, Black and Light Gold shades. Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are the first devices to be powered by Google’s in-house Tensor chipset. The vanilla Pixel 6 will be available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro, on the other hand, will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 1256GB, and 512GB. The Pixel 6 comes with a 6.4-inch LTPO display and it supports an adaptive refresh rate up to 90Hz. The Google Pixel 6 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO display that comes with a variable refresh rate that ranges from 10Hz to 120Hz.
