Panasonic’s Sanyo has launched a range of Kaizen smart TVs in India starting at Rs 12,999

For those who do not know, Sanyo is now an online-only brand by Panasonic and they will sell TVs using E-commerce platforms only. Today, the company has introduced Sanyo Kaizen TV series in India. The smart TVs run the latest Android Pie 9 operating system on all models. The smart TV ranges from size 32-inches and upwards till 65-inches.

The Sanyo Kaizen TVs are certified by Google to run Android for TVs. The company claims each television comes with superior TV experience thru Google’s user-friendly and dynamic interface. The new range of thin tubes come with IPS superbright LED displays and have minimum bezels on the sides. The company has also used flame retardant VO material all around, which resits fire, for extra security.

The Sanyo Kaizen TVs also come with in-built Chromcast via which users can stream content directly to the TV using any compatible device. Users can mirror videos, shows and photos directly from the mobile phones or tablets to these flat tubes by Sanyo. The 32-inch TV has an HDR Full-HD screen, while the 43-inch and above sport 4K resolution.

Equipped with the latest Android technology that comes with inbuilt Chromecast feature and Google Assistant for Voice Search, this new range aims at changing the way people view content and interact with their TV sets.”

Other features of these Android smart TVs include HDMI connectivity, IPS LED displays, superior loudspeakers, Dolby support, Google Assistant voice search and dedicated buttons on the remote for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Connectivity options on the TV include Wi-Fi, HDMI and USB. These depend from model to model.

As for the price, the 32-inch Sanyo Kaizen TV will be available at Rs 12,999 and the 43-inch 4K TV can be picked up for Rs 28,999. Netflix, YouTube, Hotstar, Zee5 and other streaming apps already come onboard the TVs.

India’s First smartphone featuring a 64-megapixel sensor, Realme XT to launch on September 13.

The Chinese smartphone brand Realme is all set to launch its hyped smartphone Realme XT. Now you must be thinking why is it the most hyped phone? So, for those who are unaware Realme XT is not only the company’s first but it is India’s first smartphone featuring a 64-megapixel sensor. The company will unveil the handset on September 13 next week in New Delhi. The company has also started sending invites plus it is also offering special invitation passes to its fans.

Realme XT launch date in India

The smartphone company took to Twitter and announced the launch date along with an image revealing the imaging capability of the quad-camera set up. The posted image is basically an invitation to its fans who are willing to witness this launch of Realme XT live. The image says – Precise Close Focus, Crisp Shots, Brilliant Night View, Ultra-Wide View that points out the camera capabilities of the upcoming phone.

Besides this, the company has also shared a link where interested fans can get them registered to win a ticket for the launch event. The lucky fans will attend the launch event live from the venue, interact with the Realme team and experience Realme products.

Last month the company organized a press event where it showcased its first smartphone with a 64-megapixel sensor. During the press event, the company only revealed the camera capabilities of the smartphone. But, it did not reveal the pricing as well as the specifications of the handset.

Recently Xiaomi also launched Redmi Note 8 Pro in China that also comes with a 64-megapixel sensor. However, the company did not reveal the availability of the device in India. Even before Xioami, Realme announced the arrival of India’s first 64-megapixel sensor smartphone.

Realme XT specifications

Coming on the technical specifications, Realme XT will come with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, along with a waterdrop notch on the screen. The phone has all-glass body and the company has used Corning Gorilla Glass on the front as well as on the back panel. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC. Realme will be offering the phone in three storage options 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

Realme 64MP camera smartphone

Now coming on the most important aspect of the realme XT. It features a quad-camera setup, which will come with a combination of 64-megapixel camera powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor along with an f/1.8 aperture. An 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. On the front, it will sport a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Dual nano-SIM capability with 4G support is also going to be there. It will be available in more than one colour option.

The Chinese smartphone company Vivo has added another smartphone in its Z series by launching Vivo Z1x in India today. The key highlights of the smartphone include Snapdragon 712 SoC processor, a triple camera set up, 32-megapixel front camera and 4500mAh battery. The phone is aimed at game-loving consumers and is claimed to be designed to perform better even while playing heavy duty games on their devices. Here are all the details you need to know about the price as well as the specifications of the handset.

Vivo Z1x pricing and availability

The company has launched the Vivo Z1x in two colour options Fusion Blue and  Phantom Purple colours. The smartphone is offered in two storage variants 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB with 128GB of onboard storage option. The latest mobile phone by Vivo will be available for purchase via Flipkart as well as Vivo India E-Store starting from September 13 at 12 noon. The 6GB RAM with 64GB can be purchased at Rs­­ 16990 whereas the 6GB with 128GB storage will be available at Rs 18990.

The launch offers include Rs 1250 off for HDFC cards and EMI transactions. The Jio customers will get benefits up to Rs 6000.

 Vivo Z1x specifications

The newly launched Vivo Z1x is powered by Snapdragon 712 AIE processor that comes with single 6GB RAM offering 64GB and 128GB internal storage option. To give it life the phone will be housing a 4500mAh battery along with 22.5W Vivo FlashCharge support. Z1x  runs on Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9.0. The handset features a 6.38-inch full-HD Super AMOLED with 1080×2340 pixels display. The display comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor as a security feature.

Coming on to the cameras, Vivo Z1x features a triple camera set up that will consist of 48-megapixel (f/1.79) + 8-megapixel wide-angle (f/2.2) + 2-megapixel portrait lens (f/2.4). While on the front it sports a 32-megapixel camera for clicking selfies and video calling. The rear camera supports various AI filters such as Backlight HDR, Portrait Bokeh, Portrait light effects, AR stickers, slow motion, time-lapse photography, AI Beauty, Live Photo, Night mode and more. On the front, the camera supports AR stickers, Portrait light effects, Live Photo, AI Beauty and more.

At IFA 2019 the company revealed all the necessary details about both the smartphones as well as its pricing and availability however the company dis not revealed the India details.

Motorola One Zoom has been launched in one storage variant 4 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. The smartphone comes at EUR 429 (approximately Rs 34,000) and is now up for sale in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries. The Amazon-exclusive version with Alexa preloaded is also now available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Motorola One Zoom in the US is priced at $449.99 (approximately Rs 32,400). As far as Moto E6 is concerned the company has launched the device in a single Silver Grey colour variant. The budget-friendly smartphone comes at a starting price of EUR 139 (approximately Rs. 11,000) and will start selling in Latin America from today.

Motorola One Zoom specifications

The Motorola One Zoom sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED Max Vision display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC processor with 4GB of RAM. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of cameras, Motorola One Zoom comes with a quad rear camera setup combined with the 48-megapixel primary sensor, 16 -megapixel wide-angle lens, 8 -megapixel telephoto lens and a 5 -megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 25 -megapixel camera for selfies. It phone offers 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card. It has all the necessary connectivity options as well as sensors. The One Zoom is backed up by 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

The phone is offered in 32GB RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be easily expanded via microSD card up to 512GB. On the connectivity front, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For the past few days, the upcoming device was also teased by the company ahead of its official launch. Vivo Z1x launch live stream time and expected price

As far, the company has not revealed the price of the Vivo Z1x but we are quite sure that the handset will fall under the mid-range segment. Recently the company also launched the Vivo Z5 in the Chinese market, so this phone could be the rebranded version of the said smartphone in India. The company launched Z5 in China at CNY 1,598 that translates to Rs 16,000. So, in that case, Vivo Z1x might carry a price tag of Rs 15,000. The smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase on the e-retail website Flipkart.

Vivo will launch Z1x in India today at an event that will begin at 12 noon. If you are not attending the launch event then you can catch the event to be live-streamed on the company’s official Facebook Page as well as on the Vivo’s official YouTube channel.

Vivo Z1x specifications expected

Ahead of the launch, the Vivo Z1x was listed on the Flipkart’s website. As per the product page, the handset will be featuring a Super AMOLED display along with a waterdrop-shaped notch. The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 712 SoC and will come loaded with a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W FlashCharge technology.

In terms of imaging capabilities, Vivo Z1x will be featuring a vertically aligned triple rear camera set up along with the 32-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and video calling.

But reports suggest that the Vivo Z1X is expected to come with a 6.38-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. The Z1X will be powered by Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with 6GB RAM along with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage options. The smartphone will run on Android Pie with FunTouch OS. It is suggested that the triple camera set up will consist of 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 + 8-megapixel wide-angle + 2-megapixel portrait lens. The reports also say that the company will be offering the phone in two colour variants Blue and Purple.

Puma launched its first smartwatch with Wear OS in partnership with Fossil Group

German multinational company Puma today launched its first smartwatch in collaboration with the American brand Fossil Group at IFA 2019. Both the companies are working on the smartwatch for the past 12 months those debuts at the consumer tech show in Berlin. The latest watch is powered by  Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset. It runs on Google’s Android operating system for wearables, Wear OS. The wearable gadget comes with various features like heart rate monitoring, GPS tracking and Google’s virtual assistant among others.

The sports brand Puma has launched the device in three colour options black, white and yellow. The Puma smartwatch comes with a 1.19-inch round AMOLED display and is equipped with a nylon and aluminum 44mm case. The material used for casing makes it light in weight at 27 grams and the provided silicon16mm straps reduce sweating. The smartwatch is aimed at athletes and also comes with sports-centric features. It is also waterproof that means it can be worn while swimming too.

The smart wearable gadget has 512MB of RAM and offers up to 4GB of storage. The watch is backed by Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset that assures up over 24 hours of battery life. The device offers features like NFC payments, heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, Google Assistant integration and more.

The smartwatch will be available at $275 approximately Rs 19,751 from November this year. Puma Smartwatch will take on other brands like Apple, Samsung and Fitbit that are already dominating the market. The sports brand will be offering a cheaper option where Apple Watch Series 4 comes at around $400 roughly around Rs 28,732 and Samsung’s Galaxy Watch that is sold at $330 that translates to Rs 23,704.

Asus has also announced new laptops for the professionals in its ProArt series. Thes include monitors and laptops that the company claims are the “most graphically-powerful laptops” in the world. Asus ProArtStudioBook One

StudioBook is the most powerful device in the ProArt series of laptops as claimed by the company. StudioBook One is among the first to come with Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 professional-grade graphics card. The laptop is powered by Intel’s 9th generation CPUs and features a 4K Pantone validated display along with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as edge-to-edge glass on the screen.

It comes in an array of vibrant colours. As per the company, the laptop comes with a powerful cooling system, too. The system has a lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium alloy thermal module along with with the tilted frame of4.57 degrees for maximum airflow.

Asus ProArtStudioBook Pro X

StudioBook Pro X is also powered by Nvidia Quadro that comes with Asus ScreenPad 2 that makes use of a  display for the trackpad along with ultra-thin NanoEdge bezels. Asus ProArt Station D940MX

The ProArt Station D940MX is a seriously-strong workstation that comes with 8-litre chassis that is considered to be the smallest professional-grade desktop computer. The desktop is powered by Intel’s 9th Gen CPUs that offers up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM along with Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 or RTX 2080 Ti GPU.

It comes with a 512GB PCIe SSD and 1TB hard drive together with dual Thunderbolt 3 ports on the front. While underneath the chassis it has an LED indicator. The cooling system uses a 2D vapour chamber and heat pipes that manage the temperatures and the four well-placed fans fritter out the heat faster.

Asus ProArt Display PA32UCG

ProArt Display PA32UCG is similar to Apple’s ProDisplay XDR. The monitor is claimed to be the world’s first HDR 1,600 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It delivers 4K resolution with mini LED backlighting. The backlighting produces 1000nits of sustained brightness, 1600nits of peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 as claimed.

The monitor comes with the support for HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Vision and the screen employ Quantum Dot technology and supports DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 colour spaces plus 10-bit colour depth that comes factory regulated and has a Delta-E rating of less than one. Besides this, it has 2x Thunderbolt 3, 1x DisplayPort, 3x HDMI ports, along with an in-built USB hub.

AsusPro B9 (B9450)

AsusPro B9 business laptop, which Asus claims is the “world’s lightest” at just 880 grams. The device is powered by Intel’s 10th Gen Core CPUs; up to two 1TB PCIe SSDs with support for RAID 0 or 1; Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3. The laptop has slim bezels that measure 14.9mm in depth. The company says that it offers a “long-lasting” battery life. AsusPro B9 comes with MIL-STD 810G military standard, has a Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) security chip intended for data security and IR camera meant for Windows Hello authentication.

Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701

The laptop comes with a 300Hz refresh rate panel intended for gaming purposes. The device will be available for the general public in October. Until now the company only revealed that the device will be powered by Intel’s 9th Gen CPUs, an Nvidia RTX 2080 GPU along with a Pantone validated display. The company has provided its own Active Aerodynamic System for cooling, Aura Sync lighting, and GPU Switch as well.

Last month Reliance Jio announced the launch of the optical fiber-based fixed-line broadband service, JioFiber, in India. Alongside broadband service the company also announced other services like Jio set-top box, Jio Postpaid Plus plans for JioFiber users and the Jio Fiber Welcome Offer. As promised the company has announced all the important details about the Jio Fiber fixed broadband service starting today. Here are all the details and pricing:

Jio Fiber Monthly Plans

In the beginning, the telecom company will be providing six prepaid plans namely Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Titanium. The Bronze prepaid plans come at Rs 699 per month in which the users will get a data speed of 100Mbps whereas the Silver plan comes at Rs 849 per month with 250Mbps of data speed. The Diamond plan comes at Rs 1,299 per month that offers 500Mbps Internet speed. On the other hand, Platinum and Titanium prepaid plans come at Rs 3,999 and Rs 8,499 per month respectively, which provide 1Gbps speed.

Together (with the monthly plans)  users can also opt for 3-month, 6-month and 12- month long term plans. All the plans come with unlimited upload as well as a data download. Besides this, Jio Fiber also comes with free extra high-speed data up to 250GB initially, however, 1 Gbps plans won’t get any extra free data. Through bank tie-ups, Jio will provide attractive EMI schemes, so customers get the benefit of annual plans by paying only monthly EMI.

In addition to this, the monthly plan offers other services like free domestic voice calls, TV video calling, gaming and Norton antivirus for up to 5 devices. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ price and available offers

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 8GB RAM/256GB storage model comes at Rs 69,999 in the country while Samsung Galaxy Note 10+12G RAM / 256GB storage version can be purchased for Rs 79,999. On the other hand, a 12GB/512GB storage option can be picked up at Rs 89,999.

Galaxy Note 10 houses a 3,500mAh battery that comes with a 25W charger. It measures 151×71.8×7.9mm and weighs 168 grams. The all-new S Pen is also part of the package. It sports a 6-axis sensor with a gyroscope and acceleration sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ specifications

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ has a 6.8-inch QHD+ (1,440×3,040 pixels) Infinity-O Display. It is available with a 12GB of RAM along with 256GB and 512GB internal storage option that is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.

Note 10+ has a similar camera set up as of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 with an additional DepthVision Camera. It comes with a bigger 4,300mAh battery supported by a 45W fast charger. It measures 162.3×77.2×7.9mm and weighs 196 grams.

Lenovo Z6 Pro will be available at Rs 33,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage starting from 11 September for a limited period of time as it is the limited edition smartphone. The company has launched the refreshed version of the Acer Swift 5 as well as Swift 3. Both the notebooks are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core processors and Microsoft Windows 10. Acer Swift 5 (SF514-54T/SF514-54GT) and Swift 3 (SF314-57/SF314-57G) notebooks have a sleek chassis, stylish design and slim bezels along with long battery life.

Acer Swift 5 14-inch Notebook

Acer Swift 5 is a lightweight notebook and its chassis is built with the combination of magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloys. The revamped laptop weighs 990 grams and measures 14.95 mm. The company introduced Predator Triton 300 and Predator Triton 500 in the country.  Alongside the gaming notebooks, the company also launched Predator Thronos Air gaming chair. The newly launched notebooks target the mainstream gamers that prefer sleek and light in weight device. The Predator Thronos Air gaming chair gives gamers a fun, immersive way to lose themselves in the game within their very own battle station, the company claims.

Predator Triton 300

The latest addition in the triton series is the Predator Triton 300. The notebook is compact and light in weight and is powered by Microsoft Windows 10. The gaming device comes with an aluminium, chassis along with matte black design highlighted with blue lights.

Predator Triton 300 comes with up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. It offers 16 GB of DDR4 2666Hz RAM memory that can be upgraded up to 32GB. The Triton 300 will be available with up to dual 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 and up to a 2 TB hard drive storage. .Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX 1650 and for the lag-free gaming experience is also there.

Predator Triton 300 gaming notebook features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display. The slim bezel designed screen provides a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms overdrive response time. Apart from that, it is supported by Waves Nx for a realistic and convincing listening experience. The Keyboard is concave shaped and comes with RGB lightning along with dedicated Turbo and Predator Sense keys as well. The device comes equipped with dual fans with Acer’s 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D metal fan technology, CoolBoost tech and strategically placed air intake, and exhaust vents.

 

Predator Triton 500

Predator Triton 500 features a 300Hz 15.6-inch Full HD display. The notebook is built with all metal and has a narrow bezel that measures 0.25 inches for 81% body-to-screen ratio. Predator Triton 500 is powered by 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor along with GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q Design. It offers up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM memory running at 2666MHz along with dual 512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs in raid 0.

Pricing and Availability

Acers fresh gaming notebook Predator Triton 300 will be available in India from October. The company has not disclosed the pricing of the Triton 300. But on the other hand Predator Triton 500 comes at a price tag of Rs 1,65,999.

After teasing the Infinix’s latest smartphone Infinix Hot 8 the company has finally unveiled the handset in India. Prior to its launch in the smartphone was listed on the e-commerce website’s Flipkart revealing few of its specifications, design as well as its price. Infinix Hot 8 is the successor of the Infinix Hot 7 that was launched by the company last year. The key specifications of the smartphone include a triple rear camera set up, 20:9 aspect ratio display that comes with a waterdrop notch on top.

The latest Infinix Hot 8 smartphone comes in single 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will start selling from September 12 at 12 noon. It comes with a limited period pricing of Rs 6,999 that is valid till October 31st after which it will be sold at Rs 7,999. The Infinix Hot 8 mobile phone comes in Cosmic Purple and Quetzal Cyan colour options.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor clocked at 2GHz paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is available in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage option that can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. Infinix smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie-based on XOS 5.0. It houses a 5000mAh battery, which should keep it alive for at least two days (under nominal use).

Coming on to the camera capabilities, Infinix Hot 8 features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a low light sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling along with a front flash.

The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB for charging. The handset also comes with a rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. Infinix Hot 8 measures 165 x 76.3 x 8.7 mm and weighs 179 grams.

Sony WH-XB900N headphones review: The same sugary sound at a lesser price

When it comes to great audio, there are only a handful of premium headphone makers available in India. And the most sought after, which has been doing business for years in India is Sony. After the success of Sony WH-1000XM3, which were launched last year, the Japanese major launched the Sony WH-XB900N headphones in India. Yes, we too are not a big fan of how the company has named its headphones, but what we are an admirer of is the resonance they provide. We got to play with these wireless headphones for well over 15 days and this is what we could make of them.

Design

The Sony WH-XB900N headphones are very similar to look at when you compare them to WH-1000XM3. From a distance, you can even mistake them for each other. However, there are subtle differences upfront and once can see that the Sony WH-XB900N headphones do come with plastics that are just a notch below the premium version. More so because the makers wanted to provide all the cool things like active noise cancellation and tap to operate earcup in a less expensive sound module.

Nonetheless, Sony has done a good job overall. As the built is robust, the cushioning is great on both the earcups and headbands and one does not get any feeling of flimsiness from them. Available in two colours, Blue and Black, we tested the black ones out and they are as black as one can get. The left year cup has the 3.5mm audio port (in case you run out of battery), USB Type-C charging port, the power button (which also double up as the BT button), LED indicator and a custom button. NFC logo can also be found here. Sony log is placed on both sides of the over-the-ear style headphones.

Microphones can be found on both the earcups since they actively cancel noise. The headphones listen to the ambient sounds and cut them down. The right ear cup is plain since that is the area where you will swipe up or down to decrease or increase the volume or swipe left or right to play the previous or next track. Tap it to play or pause a song. A 2.5 feet aux cable is also supplied in the box with a short USB Type-C charging cable. Maybe Sony thought one will only charge the Sony WH-XB900N headphones via a laptop. Also, in the box, you get a string carry bag, which does seem premium but you do miss the hard carry case that comes with its predecessor. Again, all this has been done to keep the price low.

Performance

Sony WH-XB900N headphones are great when they start working. Setting them up is easy and one can download the Connect app on Android and iOS to explore all its features. All the cool stuff from the previous generation comes back in these too. Like for instance if you are in a plane and the air hostess wants to talk to you, just put 3 fingers on the right ear cup and the headphones will reduce the inside volume and seep in the ambient sound. So, you can hear her clearly, without removing the headset.

The audio quality on the Sony WH-XB900N headphones is superb. Since these are from the Extra Bass series of headphones from Sony, the thump is breathtaking. The highs are great and lows are audible. Mids is something we found to the better on the previous gen, but yes those do ask for an extra shiny penny to own. The active noise cancellation feature works wonderfully well and it cuts down on 100 percent of the ambient noise when turned on. The app does a wonderful job to manage just about anything. You can choose a preset of your choice and can even manage the bass and treble. With Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC, one can easily pair them with any modern device.

Formats such as aptX HD and LDAC are also supported by the Sony WH-XB900N headphones. Users can choose what the custom button can do. For instance, one can attach Google Assistant to it. Yes, these headphones are Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa ready. The battery life of the headphones after a full charge is 30 hours (playback time) as Sony says, and during our testing, it could stay alive for almost that. With a quick charge of 10 minutes, you do get 1 hour of playback time with noise cancellation on. Overall, it took us over 6.5 hours to fully charge the headphones.

Verdict

The Sony WH-XB900N headphones are great for listening to music, making a call or even accessing AI assistants. These pack up neatly as both the ear cups swivel and bend inwards. They are not very heavy to wear and since they are wireless you can lug them around anywhere at any time. If you travel a lot and want great sound power with you, these are a must-have accessory. And the price of Rs 15,500 is not bad at all for the premium sound quality they provide. We just wish a better carry case and a longer USB charging cable was part of the package, too.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 series now comes in Pearl White colour variant

Chinese technology brand Xiaomi last month launched two smartphones Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro under Redmi K20 flagship series. Both the smartphones are currently available in three colour variants: Carbon Black, Flame Red and Glacier Blue. Last month it launched the ‘Summer Honey White’ colour option in China, but the new colour option did not arrive in the Indian market. Now the company has announced an all-new colour variant in the Redmi K20 flagship series – Pearl White. The new colour option will join the other three colour options available in the country. All the specifications of both smartphones are the same as the regular models available.

Redmi K20 pro and Redmi K20 Pearl White variant price and availability

Redmi K20 Pearl White colour variant will be available in two storage variants in India, 6GB RAM/64GB storage is priced at Rs 21,999 while the 6GB RAM/128GB storage can be purchased at Rs 23,999.

Redmi K20 Pro Pearl White colour variant also comes in two storage variants 6GB RAM/128GB storage comes at a price tag of Rs 27,999 whereas the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant will cost Rs 30,999.

Both the handsets can be purchased via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores starting today.

Redmi K20 Pro Pearl White variant specifications

Redmi K20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) AMOLED display that has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio along with a fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, with Adreno 640 GPU that has up to 8GB of RAM and offers 256GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded via microSD card up to 512GB. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery that has support for 27W fast charging.

On the imaging part, the Redmi K20 Pro features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. On the front, it has a 20MP pop-up selfie camera.

Redmi K20 Pro connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi K20 Pearl White variant specifications

Redmi K20 smartphone specifications are similar to its elder sibling Redmi K20 Pro. The difference is that it is powered by a lower Snapdragon 730 SoC and comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Over that, Redmi K20 also houses a 4,000mAh battery and comes with the support for 18W fast charging.

Now Facebook will remove like counts feature on its platform

After Instagram now its Facebook’s turn that will be hiding user’s public likes from their posts. The main objective behind this bold move is that getting fewer likes on their posts brings down the user’s self-esteem who do not have a huge fan following or friends on their profiles. Due to this they feel anxious and either stop posting pictures and messages or do away from using the social media platform. In most cases, this will stop the users from sharing anything for the sake of likes.

Currently, the social media giant Facebook is testing removal of Like counts on its platform and is not live for the users yet. In its new move to encourage people to post what they like instead of posting what gets them more likes, the change will only be visible to the person who shared the post and not to its followers. Instagram is already testing the same feature in 7 countries namely Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Ireland, and Japan.

The biggest concern is whether this change may bring positive or negligible impacts on both social media platforms. The proposed change will improve the mental health of the users,  will put less pressure on them and will encourage them to post what they like freely while preventing them from deleting the posts that they shared on Facebook that could not get much likes.

The change was first spotted by Jane Manchun Wong on Facebook’s Android App. In her blog post, she said, I observed that Facebook has recently begun prototyping this hidden like/reaction count feature in their Android app by reverse-engineering the app and playing with the code underneath.

She explained that the likes removal feature works similar to Instagram where people will not be able to access the amount of like a person is getting on their post. At the moment likes/reaction counts on comments are not yet hidden.

Similarly, the photo-sharing app Instagram is also working on the same feature where it hides the likes count on the photos and videos that the user posts on their profiles. The change was first brought to Canada following it was further expanded to six more countries.

Chandrayaan 2 completed all its de-orbiting manoeuvres, will land on the moon soon

On Tuesday, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully completed the de-orbiting of the Chandrayaan 2 around the moon. It will now land on the South Polar region of the moon. During the de-orbital process lander ‘Vikram’ was separated from the orbiter. The orbit of the Vikram lander was 104 KM X 128 KM. As per ISRO, first de-orbiting started at 8:50 am at its chosen time and the second was to happen between 3:30 am – 4:30 am. The operation was carried out successfully with the use of the onboard propulsion system for 4 seconds. India will set a record by becoming the first nation to land on the Moon’s South Pole.

The Vikram lander got separated from the Chandrayaan 2 on Monday and is scheduled to land close to the south pole in its first attempt on September 7 between 1:40 am and 1:55 am.

Indian Space Research Organisation said, “With this manoeuvre, the required orbit for the Vikram Lander to commence its descent towards the surface of the Moon is achieved,”

The final nine-second de-orbiting of the Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft was carried out successfully. The second de-orbiting manoeuvre for Chandryaan spacecraft was performed successfully today (September 04, 2019) beginning at 03.42 hrs IST.

“The first de-orbiting maneuver was carried 19 hours earlier – a day after the lander Vikram’ was separated from the Chandrayaan 2 orbiter. The orbit of Vikram Lander is 35 km x 101 km. Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter continues to orbit the Moon in an orbit of 96 km x 125 km and both the Orbiter and Lander are healthy.”

ISRO also stated that Vikram Lander is scheduled to power descent between 0100 – 0200 hrs IST on September 07, 2019, which is then followed by touch down of Lander between 0130 – 0230 hrs IST.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence is expected at the control center to witness the momentous touch down of Lander near the Moon’s South Polar region. However, the ISRO Chairman K Sivan has stated that the soft landing of the Vikram will be terrifying as ISRO has never performed a soft-landing on the Moon before.

After the landing, the rover – ‘Pragyan’ – will roll out from ‘Vikram’ between 5:30 and 6:30 am on September 7 and will start performing experiments on the lunar surface for a time period of one lunar day that equals to 14 earth days. However, the mission life of the Vikram lander up to one lunar day whereas the orbiter will continue to carry out its mission for a year.

Now the company has announced that the Realme 5 Pro will go on sale for the first time in the country. From today the phone will be put on open sale via e-commerce website Flipkart as well as realme.com at 12 noon onwards.

Realme 5 Pro has been launched in two colour options Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue. The handset is available in 3 variants – 4GB with 64GB priced at Rs 13,999,6GB with 64GB priced at Rs 14,999and 8GB with 128GB priced at Rs 16,999. The sale will take place on Flipkart and realme.com from 12 noon onwards in India.

On the purchase of Realme 5 Pro from Flipkart, the buyers will get Rs 750 Instant Discount on HDFC Bank Credit Cards and additional Rs 250 on Debit and Credit Card EMI for both realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro on Flipkart. The buyers will be offered complete mobile protection at Rs 99 along with with no cost EMI up to 6 months on the purchase of Realme 5 Pro.

Earlier this year the South Korean Company, Samsung, promised to launch a new Galaxy A-series smartphone every month. The company has kept its promise and it launched various phones under A-series line up. Now again the company launched Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. Today the smartphone maker officially introduced its latest 5G phone in South Korea. Being the first 5G phone, Galaxy A90 5G is also the first to come with the DEX support in Galaxy A-series. With the use of this feature, the operator can connect their phone to a TV or PC for a big-screen experience.

Samsung Galaxy S90 5G price

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G has been launched at a starting price of KRW 900,000 (approximately Rs 53,100). The smartphone has been launched in its home market by the company and will be put on sale starting tomorrow.

After launching two 5G phones Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy A90 5G will be its third 5G phone that has been launched in South Korea. The company confirmed that in the few weeks the handset will arrive in other markets also. India is also on the cards.

Now coming on to the specifications, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display along with a waterdrop-style notch on the top as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. The 5G phone runs Android 9 Pie with One UI on top. Galaxy A90 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. The handset comes in 6GB or 8GB RAM. To give it life the mobile phone comes with a battery capacity of 4000mAh along with a 25W fast charging support.

In terms of camera capabilities, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G features a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel f/2.0 primary camera sensor, assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it sports a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.

In addition to this Galaxy A90 5G is offered in a single 128GB of inbuilt storage option that can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. However, the microSD card slot is only available in a 6GB RAM variant. The phone measures 164.8×76.4×8.4mm and weigh 206 grams.
