Updates are an important part of any technology to get new features and stay up to date with security. The latest updates also come with bugs and glitch fixes to improve performance. If you are also annoyed with Windows updates, worry not, here is how you can stop these updates. Step 1 – Press Start and search Windows update settings. Windows update settings in start Step 2 – Inside the opened settings head to pause update and select accordingly.   • With Command Prompt

Step 1 – Press start and search run or alternatively press Win+R to open the Run box. Step 2 – Now enter services.msc on the open field and press OK. Services in Run Step 3 – Search for Windows Update (usually at the end of the list). Windows Update in services Step 4 – Right-click the option and head to properties. Step 5 – Here in the Startup type, make it disable. Disable Windows update properties After pressing Ok restart your computer and your PC will no longer update automatically. To turn it back on follow the same route and either make it manually or set it automatic.

  • Using Registry editor

Before using it always be careful as doing something wrong with the registry will make your OS malfunction. Step 1 – Search for Registry Editor in the Start menu and open it. Search registry editor in Start Step 2 – Copy the path from below in the registry editor HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Windows folder in Registary Step 3 – Right-click on the Windows folder and select New>Key (name it Windows Update). Create new folder in registry Step 4 – Inside the Windows Update folder right click and New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. (Name it NoAutoUpdate). Step 5 – Double click the file and set the Value Data to 1. Set no auto update value to 1 This will permanently disable auto-update on your Windows 10/11 machine.

Use third party application

The South Korean video developer Krafton has announced that Indian players will be able to qualify for the 2022 Asian Games official esports programme through Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). This will give Indian players an edge over other competitors for metals at the upcoming event that will be held in Hangzhou, China. The developer Krafton has also spent a total of $70 million in the Indian IT sector this year.  The Games will take place from September 10 to September 25, 2022, with athletes from all over Asia competing for medals. The company said, “BGMI’s inclusion in the esports games bouquet exemplifies KRAFTON’s commitment to developing the esports ecosystem globally & in India. KRAFTON has been investing heavily in the development of Indian gaming, esports, and IT entertainment industries with the establishment of its Indian office.” Like we said earlier Krafton has invested a total of 70 million USD this year in the Indian IT sector including the leading Indian esports company Nodwin Gaming, the game streaming platform Loco, and India’s No.1 web novel platform Pratilipi. For those who are unfamiliar, the Asian Games are a four-year multi-sport event in which Asia’s best athletes perform. The International Olympic Committee recognises the event as the second-largest of its kind, trailing only the Olympics. With its inclusion as a demonstration sport in 2018, the Asian Games paved the way for e-sports representation. E-sports was added to the official programme in 2020 as it is now a medal-winning event in 2022.  Krafton had recently announced BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2021. Samsung Galaxy A52s Review: A lot of hits and a few misses
Samsung Galaxy A52s is priced at Rs 35,999 in India and is an upgrade to Galaxy A52. The smartphone comes with 5G, a display with 120Hz refresh rate, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G SoC. But how worthy is the upgrade? Read our Samsung Galaxy A52s review to find out more.

Samsung Galaxy A52s review: Design and Display

We really liked the design and the look and feel of the Samsung Galaxy A52s. The handset sports a polycarbonate back panel that has a matte finish coupled with a plastic frame. The matte finish of the back panel didn’t take away from the premium looks of the device and at the same time, it was efficient enough to not get any fingerprints. Since the colour of the back of the smartphone we got for review was white, it sometimes looked like it was made of marble. The camera module of the device is placed on the back too and it houses four lenses and an LED flash. Besides that, there is Samsung branding in Silver colour present on it.  Samsung Galaxy A52s The right edge of Samsung Galaxy A52s houses the Power and the Volume Rocker keys, while SIM tray and the secondary microphone are on the top. The speaker grill, Type-C port, microphone and the 3.5mm headphone jack are on the bottom edge of the device. Flip over and you’ll see the 6.5-inch display of the smartphone that is outlined with rather thick bezels and has an even thicker chin at the bottom. There is a selfie camera on the top of the screen and there is a tiny earpiece placed between the display and the frame of the phone. It is worth mentioning that Samsung Galaxy A52s comes with an IP67 rating and is hence, dust and water-resistant.  Coming to the screen of the smartphone, it comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display that is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The colours projected on the display are accurate and stay consistent at different viewing angles. The images displayed are sharp, clear and the experience of watching videos was decent. It could have been better had the phone had support for HDR10. The sunlight readability of the device was good too and the screen did not catch our fingerprints during our time with the handset. Samsung Galaxy A52s review: Performance and cameras

Before we begin speaking about the performance of the Samsung Galaxy A52s, let’s take a minute to discuss its specifications. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G SoC clubbed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Other than this, the device can also hold a microSD card of up to 1TB. The smartphone runs Android 11 skinned with Samsung’s own One UI 3.1. The software on the phone is very customized and comes with a number of pre-installed apps including Byju’s, PhonePe, Josh, Koo, Moj, etc, and even some apps from Samsung’s own suite. The only upside here is that most of these can be uninstalled in case you decide not to keep them. Galaxy Store cannot be uninstalled, but then, it didn’t bother us with too many notifications so it was fine.  Samsung Galaxy A52s 4 Coming to the performance of Samsung Galaxy A52s, the smartphone performed most of the daily tasks well. We even used it for multitasking and opened multiple tabs of Chrome and apps together and switched between them, but the device handled most of it pretty well. We played a number of games on the handset and during our time with it, we didn’t face any major issues or lags. The device did heat up a bit when we played Asphalt 9: Legends, but it wasn’t too much of a problem. We do recommend going to the Game Launcher app and tweaking the settings to get the best experience out of the handset.  The 4,500mAh battery of Samsung Galaxy A52s takes around an hour and a half to charge completely and it lasts more than a day with usage involving gaming, watching videos and an active Instagram account.  Samsung Galaxy A52s 3 Finally, let’s talk about the cameras of the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A52s comes with a 64MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a macro and a depth sensor with 5MP lenses. There is also a 32MP selfie camera on the device. Most images that we took during the day using the primary lens turned out to be great. The image quality was very clear and the colours were vibrant too. The good quality of images remained consistent indoors as well as outdoors.  Samsung Galaxy A52s image sample 2 The ultra-wide sensor did an average job and obviously the quality of pictures wasn’t as great as it was in the ones taken by the primary sensor. There was a little distortion that we noticed in some shots too. The macro camera and the depth sensor both managed to click decent shots. We should point out that the pictures we took in low light didn’t turn out too great in terms of details and clarity. Enabling the Night Mode would help, but only to a certain extent.  Samsung Galaxy A52s image sample The selfie camera did a good job, but only in well-lit areas. 

Verdict

Samsung Galaxy A52s at Rs 29,300 (on Amazon) is a good buy and it comes with a beautiful design, a vibrant 120Hz display, IP rating, and a lasting battery. The cameras don’t really impress and the smartphone also lacks HDR10+ support, which could have enhanced the video experience on it. Also, the device competes with a lot of smartphones in the same range that offer more. Let’s face it, many users use drive links or uploads to share pirated content from either one device to another or share the same with your friends or family. Initially, the content will play as the upload is fresh for the Google updates. But sooner or later either Google will not let you play it or delete the uploaded content. The Google servers use a smart file hashing function to find such content and either ban, block or remove it.

  • Exceeding max supported resolution

You can indeed upload any file with any format on your Google drive if the available storage for your plan is available. But if you want to play a video more than the supported playback resolution the Drive won’t allow it. The maximum set video resolution supported by Google Drive is 1,920×1,080. To play a higher resolution video you need to download it and play it natively on the system.

  • Large file size

Google Drive is generous enough to let you upload a video with a size up to 5TB (if you have that much available storage). Well, it’s more than enough for most of the users, but are you trying to upload and play a video of more than 5TB? Wow, but don’t do that the Drive won’t let you upload or playback the video. A solution to this can be if you split the video into multiple parts and then upload it one by one.

  • Video Corrupted

  • Unsupported file type

There are some video file formats that Google Drive does not support. To know the file formats supported, head to the Supported formats tab to check if the file you are trying to play is covered in the list. If the file format is not present we advise you to convert the file format and try again.

  • Try Incognito mode

Sometimes extensions installed on your browser hinders the video playback in Drive natively. To solve this try opening the file in the incognito/private mode, which is supported by most of the latest browsers. The incognito mode disables all the extensions and will eliminate the error caused by any add ons.

  • Open the video in the new tab

Try opening the video in a new tab to do so right-click on the video and press preview. Inside the tab press three-dot on the right top corner and select open in a new window. Try playing the video now to check if the problem persists.

  • Make a copy

Your video file might have been stuck on a bad cache sector and thus resulted in not playing. To solve it right-click on the video file and select make a copy, try playing the copy of the video file to see if your problem is solved.

  • Toggle off block cookies

  • Sign out of multiple accounts

Samsung has unveiled its very first and the industry-first LPDDR5X DRAM that will debut with the launch of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Series. This is claimed to handle AI-powered apps. For high performance, the newly developed RAM is the industry’s first 14-nanometer (nm) based 16-gigabit (Gb) Low Power Double Data Rate 5X (LPDDR5X) DRAM that is claimed to easily manage tasks involving high-speed large scale data processing.  The LPDDR5X solution will broaden the use of high-performance, low-power memory beyond smartphones to AI and edge applications. In addition to this, this module will provide over 1.3x faster processing speeds and consumers nearly 20% less power than the previous LPDDR5 solution SangJoon Hwang, senior vice president and head of the DRAM Design Team at Samsung Electronics commented, “In recent years, hyperconnected market segments such as AI, augmented reality (AR) and the metaverse, which rely on extremely fast large-scale data processing, have been rapidly expanding. Our LPDDR5X will broaden the use of high-performance, low-power memory beyond smartphones and bring new capabilities to AI-based edge applications like servers and even automobiles.” LPDDR5X DRAM on Samsung Galaxy S22 LPDDR5X from Samsung is the next-gen mobile DRAM that is designed to significantly increase speed, capacity, and power savings for future 5G applications. In 2018, Samsung delivered the industry’s first 8Gb LPDDR5 DRAM and today, the company is aggressively moving beyond mobile markets with the first 16Gb LPDDR5X DRAM. The new LPDDR5X DRAM  will have data processing speeds of up to 8.5 gigabits per second (Gbps) which is said to be more than 1.3 times faster than LPDDR5. It will also consume approximately 20 percent less power than LPDDR5 memory due to its use of the industry’s most advanced 14nm DRAM process tech. Furthermore, the 16Gb LPDDR5X chip will support up to 64GB per memory package, meeting the growing global demand for higher-capacity mobile DRAM. For security purposes, all your data will still be end to end encrypted. Here is how to use this feature in its beta phase. Before being able to use it there are a few things to keep in mind.

Notes

  • Up to 4 devices can be used as companion devices but the main login should be only in 1 account.
  • The registration and linking of the device should be done via your primary device only.
  • Not using the device consecutively for 14 days will result in disconnecting of linked devices.

Unsupported feature

  • Cannot clear or delete chats if your companion device is an iPhone.
  • Messaging or calling someone with an older version of WhatsApp.
  • View live location on the companion device.

  • Sending a message with link previews from WhatsApp web.

Before using the feature one should ensure that they are running the latest version of the WhatsApp application or WhatsApp business on their Android or iPhone. American chipmaker, Qualcomm, has finally announced the dates for its upcoming Tech event- Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021. The event will begin on November 30. It is going to be a two days event that will run until December 1. During the tech summit, the company will be unleashing its next-generation flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898. Continue reading to know more. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 is scheduled to take place on November 20 and December 1. It is going to be a virtual event that will begin at HST/3 p.m. PST daily. It will be live-streamed via the company’s official website, Twitter and YouTube channel.  Keynotes will debut the latest Snapdragon premium-tier mobile platform and showcase industry-leading technology innovations across camera, AI, gaming, and connectivity. According to the company Along with Qualcomm Technologies executives, the following mobile and technology industry leaders are slated to join this year’s event: Cadillac, Ernst Leitz Labs, Google Cloud, Lenovo, Microsoft, Motorola, Verizon, and Xiaomi. Qualcomm’s President and CEO Cristiano Amon said, “Snapdragon remains at the centre of delivering premium mobile experiences and Tech Summit is the must-attend event if you want to hear firsthand what to expect in 2022.” On the very first day of the Snapdragon Tech Summit, Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC is expected to make its debut. It is the successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 which is currently the fastest chipset being integrated into the latest flagship devices. The next iteration of 888 is expected to be based on 4nm architecture with the latest ARMS design. It is said to deliver 15 percent faster performance than the predecessor and 5 percent over the current flagship 888+. Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset is likely to be rolled out in 2022 on the flagship devices.

There has been a lot of speculation with regard to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. The device specifications leaked several times and its launch was rumoured to happen last month. According to new information received, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is now anticipated to happen early next month. However, the company is expected to push back the launch of its flagship series Galaxy S22 to February.  According to popular tipster Jon Prosser, Samsung’s Unpacked event for S21 FE could take place on January 4, 2022. Moreover, the first sale is likely to start from January 11. On the other hand, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is tipped to happen on February 8, 2022, at 10.00ET. The pre-orders will begin on the same day and it will go on sale from February 18.

Past leaks and rumours suggest that the alleged Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will carry a similar design as the standard Galaxy S21 excluding metal housing around the camera sensors and microSD slot for expanding storage. It will also steer clear of the 3.5mm headphone jack. The user may use a USB Type-C adapter or a wireless headphone to connect. The device is slated to offer a high refresh rate display, which may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Galaxy S21 FE will also include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It is said to withstand up to 1.5m and up to 30 minutes. Furthermore, it may come with Dolby Atmos, wireless and reverse wireless charging support. In addition to this, there will be Wireless DeX and Samsung Pay features as well. For the cameras, the smartphone could also feature a triple rear camera set-up that may include an ultra-wide-angle sensor, the user manual noted. The Galaxy S21 FE is also expected to arrive in four colour options of Black, Green, Purple, and White. Other reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is expected to have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery and may come in Blue, Grey, Green, Violet, and White colour options. The Geekbench listing claims that the phone will be powered by Exynos 2100 SoC along with a max clock speed of 2.91GHz paired with 8GB of RAM. Vivo has finally announced the launch of its next-gen V-Series smartphone. Yes, we are talking about the successor of Vivo V21. The company has introduced Vivo V23e that is the successor of Vivo V21e. The device has debuted in Vietnam and it features a slim form factor. It comes with a 44W fast charging support and equips a 50-megapixel selfie camera. In addition to this, it is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 SoC.

The Vivo V23e has been rolled out in Vietnam at VND 8,490,000 that translates to Rs 27,900. The device comes in Moonlight Shadow and Sunshine Coast. As of now, the phone is available in Vietnam but it has also been spotted listed on the Chinese website suggesting launching soon as Vivo has not officially revealed the launch date of the upcoming smartphone.

In terms of specifications, Vivo V23e features a 6.44-inch full HD AMOLED display having a resolution of 2,400×1,080. It comes with a standard 60Hz panel. The handset runs on FunTouch 12 on top of Android 11. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The chipset has two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz along with six Arm Cortex-A55 cores. In terms of photos and videos, Vivo V23e comes with a triple rear camera setup that comes equipped with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. The camera app offers you features like eye focus, night mode, portrait eraser, live photo, slow-mo and others. In terms of endurance, Vivo V23e houses a 4050mAh battery that offers 44W fast charging support that is claimed to charge up to 69 percent in 30 minutes. For connectivity, the handset includes dual-band Wifi, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.2. USB type-c port, GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, GLONASS lastly a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition to this, the mobile phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for phone unlock. Chinese smartphone company Oppo has announced the launch of its latest smartphone Oppo A16K. The device that has been released is the Philippines and is a water down variant of Oppo A16. The new smartphone features a single 13-megapixel sensor and an HD+ display. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and houses a 4,230mAh battery.
