New variant of Tecno Spark 8 with 3GB RAM and Helio G25 SoC arrives in India
Transsion holding smartphone brands announced Tecno Spark 8 in India in September this year. Tecno Mobile introduced the device in a single configuration and is now a new variant with 3G RAM and MediaTek Helio G25 gaming chipset.  To recall, the phone was earlier made available with MediTek Helio A25 with 2GB of RAM. The new variant comes with a couple of new changes like its display which is bigger and much thinner profile. Let’s see what’s more has changed this time.

The new variant of Tecno Spark 8 has an HD+ 6.56-inch HD+Dot Notch display. The screen offers 480 nits of peak brightness and a 20.15:9 aspect ratio. The device runs on HiOS on top of Android 11 Go  Edition. Under the hood, there is a 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio G25 gaming processor, which endures 8 cores for faster operations.  Its HyperEngine technology provides a seamless performance during gaming. The phone is offered in a single 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage option that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The release of PUBG: New State is set for today. The new mobile game will also debut in India along with more than 200 countries on Android and iOS. Ahead of the launch the company also announced that it has received more than 50 million pre-registrations for the upcoming game. So if you have been eagerly waiting for the launch here are all the details from how to download to what are the system requirements and compatible handsets for the PUBG: New State. The PUBG New State will be available for download globally from today at 11:30 AM IST. About PUBG: New State

The PUBG: New State is set in the year 2051. The game will launch as a free-to-play next-generation mobile game in 17 different languages. The new mobile game is said to have inherited the core of the PUBG IP and will use the latest rendering technology and a gunplay system on par with what’s found in the PC version of PUBG: Battlegrounds. Furthermore, the game intends to advance the battle royale genre by introducing novel game elements such as weapon customisation, a drone store and one of a kind player recruitment system. The South Korean video developer Krafton has announced that Indian players will be able to qualify for the 2022 Asian Games official esports programme through Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). This will give Indian players an edge over other competitors for metals at the upcoming event that will be held in Hangzhou, China. The developer Krafton has also spent a total of $70 million in the Indian IT sector this year.  The Games will take place from September 10 to September 25, 2022, with athletes from all over Asia competing for medals. The company said, “BGMI’s inclusion in the esports games bouquet exemplifies KRAFTON’s commitment to developing the esports ecosystem globally & in India. KRAFTON has been investing heavily in the development of Indian gaming, esports, and IT entertainment industries with the establishment of its Indian office.” Like we said earlier Krafton has invested a total of 70 million USD this year in the Indian IT sector including the leading Indian esports company Nodwin Gaming, the game streaming platform Loco, and India’s No.1 web novel platform Pratilipi. For those who are unfamiliar, the Asian Games are a four-year multi-sport event in which Asia’s best athletes perform. The International Olympic Committee recognises the event as the second-largest of its kind, trailing only the Olympics. With its inclusion as a demonstration sport in 2018, the Asian Games paved the way for e-sports representation. E-sports was added to the official programme in 2020 as it is now a medal-winning event in 2022.  Krafton had recently announced BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2021. This will be the first esports tournament hosted by the company in association with iQoo a Vivo sub-brand.  The smartphone company will be the title sponsor for the e-sports tournament which is the biggest Battle Royale Esports event in India. The total prize pool for winners of this one of its kind tournament will be a whopping Rs 1 crore. Besides this BGMI Mega Modes were also announced for the Battlegrounds Mobile India. Samsung Galaxy A52s review: Design and Display

We really liked the design and the look and feel of the Samsung Galaxy A52s. The handset sports a polycarbonate back panel that has a matte finish coupled with a plastic frame. The matte finish of the back panel didn’t take away from the premium looks of the device and at the same time, it was efficient enough to not get any fingerprints. Since the colour of the back of the smartphone we got for review was white, it sometimes looked like it was made of marble. The camera module of the device is placed on the back too and it houses four lenses and an LED flash. Besides that, there is Samsung branding in Silver colour present on it.  Samsung Galaxy A52s The right edge of Samsung Galaxy A52s houses the Power and the Volume Rocker keys, while SIM tray and the secondary microphone are on the top. The speaker grill, Type-C port, microphone and the 3.5mm headphone jack are on the bottom edge of the device. Flip over and you’ll see the 6.5-inch display of the smartphone that is outlined with rather thick bezels and has an even thicker chin at the bottom. There is a selfie camera on the top of the screen and there is a tiny earpiece placed between the display and the frame of the phone. It is worth mentioning that Samsung Galaxy A52s comes with an IP67 rating and is hence, dust and water-resistant.  Coming to the screen of the smartphone, it comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display that is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The colours projected on the display are accurate and stay consistent at different viewing angles. The images displayed are sharp, clear and the experience of watching videos was decent. It could have been better had the phone had support for HDR10. The sunlight readability of the device was good too and the screen did not catch our fingerprints during our time with the handset. Before we begin speaking about the performance of the Samsung Galaxy A52s, let’s take a minute to discuss its specifications. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G SoC clubbed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Other than this, the device can also hold a microSD card of up to 1TB. The smartphone runs Android 11 skinned with Samsung’s own One UI 3.1. The software on the phone is very customized and comes with a number of pre-installed apps including Byju’s, PhonePe, Josh, Koo, Moj, etc, and even some apps from Samsung’s own suite. The only upside here is that most of these can be uninstalled in case you decide not to keep them. Galaxy Store cannot be uninstalled, but then, it didn’t bother us with too many notifications so it was fine.  Samsung Galaxy A52s 4 Coming to the performance of Samsung Galaxy A52s, the smartphone performed most of the daily tasks well. We even used it for multitasking and opened multiple tabs of Chrome and apps together and switched between them, but the device handled most of it pretty well. We played a number of games on the handset and during our time with it, we didn’t face any major issues or lags. The device did heat up a bit when we played Asphalt 9: Legends, but it wasn’t too much of a problem. We do recommend going to the Game Launcher app and tweaking the settings to get the best experience out of the handset.  The 4,500mAh battery of Samsung Galaxy A52s takes around an hour and a half to charge completely and it lasts more than a day with usage involving gaming, watching videos and an active Instagram account.  Samsung Galaxy A52s 3 Finally, let’s talk about the cameras of the smartphone. Most images that we took during the day using the primary lens turned out to be great. The image quality was very clear and the colours were vibrant too. There was a little distortion that we noticed in some shots too. The macro camera and the depth sensor both managed to click decent shots. We should point out that the pictures we took in low light didn’t turn out too great in terms of details and clarity. Verdict

Samsung Galaxy A52s at Rs 29,300 (on Amazon) is a good buy and it comes with a beautiful design, a vibrant 120Hz display, IP rating, and a lasting battery. The cameras don’t really impress and the smartphone also lacks HDR10+ support, which could have enhanced the video experience on it. Also, the device competes with a lot of smartphones in the same range that offer more.   • Exceeding max supported resolution

To solve this try opening the file in the incognito/private mode, which is supported by most of the latest browsers.   • Open the video in the new tab

Try opening the video in a new tab to do so right-click on the video and press preview. Inside the tab press three-dot on the right top corner and select open in a new window. Try playing the video now to check if the problem persists.

  • Make a copy

Your video file might have been stuck on a bad cache sector and thus resulted in not playing. To solve it right-click on the video file and select make a copy, try playing the copy of the video file to see if your problem is solved.

  • Toggle off block cookies

Samsung has unveiled its very first and the industry-first LPDDR5X DRAM that will debut with the launch of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Series. This is claimed to handle AI-powered apps. For high performance, the newly developed RAM is the industry’s first 14-nanometer (nm) based 16-gigabit (Gb) Low Power Double Data Rate 5X (LPDDR5X) DRAM that is claimed to easily manage tasks involving high-speed large scale data processing.  The LPDDR5X solution will broaden the use of high-performance, low-power memory beyond smartphones to AI and edge applications. In addition to this, this module will provide over 1.3x faster processing speeds and consumers nearly 20% less power than the previous LPDDR5 solution SangJoon Hwang, senior vice president and head of the DRAM Design Team at Samsung Electronics commented, “In recent years, hyperconnected market segments such as AI, augmented reality (AR) and the metaverse, which rely on extremely fast large-scale data processing, have been rapidly expanding. Our LPDDR5X will broaden the use of high-performance, low-power memory beyond smartphones and bring new capabilities to AI-based edge applications like servers and even automobiles.” LPDDR5X DRAM on Samsung Galaxy S22 LPDDR5X from Samsung is the next-gen mobile DRAM that is designed to significantly increase speed, capacity, and power savings for future 5G applications. In 2018, Samsung delivered the industry’s first 8Gb LPDDR5 DRAM and today, the company is aggressively moving beyond mobile markets with the first 16Gb LPDDR5X DRAM. The new LPDDR5X DRAM  will have data processing speeds of up to 8.5 gigabits per second (Gbps) which is said to be more than 1.3 times faster than LPDDR5. It will also consume approximately 20 percent less power than LPDDR5 memory due to its use of the industry’s most advanced 14nm DRAM process tech. Furthermore, the 16Gb LPDDR5X chip will support up to 64GB per memory package, meeting the growing global demand for higher-capacity mobile DRAM.   • Up to 4 devices can be used as companion devices but the main login should be only in 1 account.
  • The registration and linking of the device should be done via your primary device only.
  • Not using the device consecutively for 14 days will result in disconnecting of linked devices.

  • Cannot clear or delete chats if your companion device is an iPhone.

According to the company Along with Qualcomm Technologies executives, the following mobile and technology industry leaders are slated to join this year’s event: Cadillac, Ernst Leitz Labs, Google Cloud, Lenovo, Microsoft, Motorola, Verizon, and Xiaomi. Qualcomm’s President and CEO Cristiano Amon said, “Snapdragon remains at the centre of delivering premium mobile experiences and Tech Summit is the must-attend event if you want to hear firsthand what to expect in 2022.” On the very first day of the Snapdragon Tech Summit, Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC is expected to make its debut. It is the successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 which is currently the fastest chipset being integrated into the latest flagship devices. The next iteration of 888 is expected to be based on 4nm architecture with the latest ARMS design. It is said to deliver 15 percent faster performance than the predecessor and 5 percent over the current flagship 888+. Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset is likely to be rolled out in 2022 on the flagship devices.

There has been a lot of speculation with regard to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. The device specifications leaked several times and its launch was rumoured to happen last month. According to new information received, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is now anticipated to happen early next month. However, the company is expected to push back the launch of its flagship series Galaxy S22 to February.  According to popular tipster Jon Prosser, Samsung’s Unpacked event for S21 FE could take place on January 4, 2022. Moreover, the first sale is likely to start from January 11. On the other hand, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is tipped to happen on February 8, 2022, at 10.00ET. The pre-orders will begin on the same day and it will go on sale from February 18.

Past leaks and rumours suggest that the alleged Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will carry a similar design as the standard Galaxy S21 excluding metal housing around the camera sensors and microSD slot for expanding storage. It will also steer clear of the 3.5mm headphone jack. The user may use a USB Type-C adapter or a wireless headphone to connect. The device is slated to offer a high refresh rate display, which may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Galaxy S21 FE will also include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It is said to withstand up to 1.5m and up to 30 minutes. Furthermore, it may come with Dolby Atmos, wireless and reverse wireless charging support. In addition to this, there will be Wireless DeX and Samsung Pay features as well. For the cameras, the smartphone could also feature a triple rear camera set-up that may include an ultra-wide-angle sensor, the user manual noted. The Galaxy S21 FE is also expected to arrive in four colour options of Black, Green, Purple, and White. Other reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is expected to have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery and may come in Blue, Grey, Green, Violet, and White colour options. The Geekbench listing claims that the phone will be powered by Exynos 2100 SoC along with a max clock speed of 2.91GHz paired with 8GB of RAM. Vivo has finally announced the launch of its next-gen V-Series smartphone. Yes, we are talking about the successor of Vivo V21. The company has introduced Vivo V23e that is the successor of Vivo V21e. The device has debuted in Vietnam and it features a slim form factor. It comes with a 44W fast charging support and equips a 50-megapixel selfie camera. In addition to this, it is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 SoC.

The Vivo V23e has been rolled out in Vietnam at VND 8,490,000 that translates to Rs 27,900. The device comes in Moonlight Shadow and Sunshine Coast. As of now, the phone is available in Vietnam but it has also been spotted listed on the Chinese website suggesting launching soon as Vivo has not officially revealed the launch date of the upcoming smartphone.

In terms of specifications, Vivo V23e features a 6.44-inch full HD AMOLED display having a resolution of 2,400×1,080. It comes with a standard 60Hz panel. The handset runs on FunTouch 12 on top of Android 11. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The chipset has two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz along with six Arm Cortex-A55 cores. In terms of photos and videos, Vivo V23e comes with a triple rear camera setup that comes equipped with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. The camera set-up further includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. In addition to this, the device sports a 50-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera app offers you features like eye focus, night mode, portrait eraser, live photo, slow-mo and others. In terms of endurance, Vivo V23e houses a 4050mAh battery that offers 44W fast charging support that is claimed to charge up to 69 percent in 30 minutes. For connectivity, the handset includes dual-band Wifi, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.2. USB type-c port, GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, GLONASS lastly a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition to this, the mobile phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for phone unlock. Chinese smartphone company Oppo has announced the launch of its latest smartphone Oppo A16K. The device that has been released is the Philippines and is a water down variant of Oppo A16. The new smartphone features a single 13-megapixel sensor and an HD+ display. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and houses a 4,230mAh battery.

Oppo A16K has been launched in the Philippines with a price tag of PHP 6,999 for the single 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option that translates to Rs 10,300. Oppo A16K comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 1,600×720 pixels of resolution. It offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 269ppi. The mobile phone runs on ColorOS 11.1 Lite on top of Android 11 out of the box. Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage option which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. There can be many reasons, which can cause this problem. But worry not here are fixes that you can try. The basic start of a troubleshooting process is restarting your device. The restarting process for all the iPhones are very different so we advise you to refer to the image below to check on the required set of keys you need to press to initiate the process. Force restart the device Hold the button for 2-3 seconds. This will make the iPhone force restart. Wait for the phone to start and see if the problem persists.

  • Check Wi-Fi connection 

Notification can be delayed or stopped due to poor internet connection. If the internet is not proper your iPhone won’t be able to refresh the Facebook app resolution g in not notification pushed by the same. Visit Fast.com to ensure you have a fast internet connection

  • Check notification in setting

This is easy to check head to Settings>Notifications>Facebook. Make sure the toggle is switched on. Check notification in setting If the notification is already turned on try turning it off and turning it back on again. After the process, see if the application is putting out a notification.

  • Turn off do not disturb

Do not disturb mode suspends incoming notifications and naturally will not allow Facebook’s notifications to pass as well. Switching it off will solve the problem. 
  • If running iOS 15: Settings>Focus>Do not disturb
  • If running iOS 14 or earlier: Setting>Do not disturb

  • Check in-app setting

Open the Facebook application and click on the three bars to open up settings. Here head to Notification Settings. Make sure the Push option is turned on. Check in app setting

  • Update the application

There are many times that the Facebook applications malfunction due to buggy updates or due to the application is not updating at all. These bugs are reported on a daily basis and developers work hard to fix these updates. Head to the App Store and search Facebook or alternatively tap on your profile to open all the applications and tap on update all. Update the application

  • Check for smart devices connection

If you are into the Apple ecosystem you might own an Apple watch as well. Make sure that the watch or any smart display is disconnected from your iPhone. Due to this and the phone is locked the notification will be pushed to the Watch and not the iPhone. Though this can be changed within the setting of your Apple Watch. 

  • Reinstall the application

There is a possibility that you might have received a bad update or the updated application has malfunctioned due to a bug. The best way to solve it is by uninstalling the application and reinstalling it. Head to the App Store and search for Facebook. Uninstall from here or hold the application and select the uninstall option from there. After the process is complete reinstall the application from the App Store to see if the problem persists.

  • Reset setting

You can try resetting settings. It will eliminate any system bugs and bring the settings like Wi-Fi, notifications, Bluetooth, etc. to square one. To do so follow these steps. Step 1 – Open Settings and head to General.   • Reset iPhone

This will probably be the last option and should be done only if these notifications are of utmost importance for you in the iPhone. Once the iPhone is erased the data cannot be retrieved back until it’s been backed up in the cloud. For doing so you need to follow the same method from above just before pressing Reset (Step – 2) press Erase All Content and Settings.  This will completely delete every file from your iPhone and turn it into factory setting. Lenovo owned Chinese smartphone company Motorola is getting ready to release its next flagship smartphone in the market. The company is set to introduce a new device in its Edge Series. It has started teasing the Motorola Edge X smartphone. The device is the third smartphone to make its debut after Motorola Edge S Pro and Edge Lite arrived in China just a few months ago.  Motorola’s executive took to Weibo to break the news. He has posted the first teaser of the flagship Motorola Edge X. The Weibo poster does not divulge much information related to its availability and specification. But it is slated to be a gaming-centric phone.  Besides this, a Motorola smartphone bagged a 3C certification. It was spotted with model number XT2175-2  that is believed to be Motorola Edge X. The phone is listed to come with 33W fast charging support. But a handset with a similar model number also got listed on Wifi Alliance suggesting a 30W fast charging support for the phone.  To recall Motorola Edge S Pro and Motorola Edge Lite were rebranded for India as Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Edge 20.

Motorola Edge 20 has a 6.7-inch OLED Max Vision display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device runs MyUX on top of Android 11 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. The device features a triple camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a macro lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 3x high-res optical zoom and 30X Super Zoom telephoto lens. There is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera on the front. Furthermore, there is a 4,000mAh battery that also supports 30W TurboPower fast charging.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro is highlighted with a 6.7-inch full HD+ Max Vision AMOLED display which supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The device runs on My UX on top of Android 11 and is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU for graphics.  For the optics, there is a triple rear camera set-up that includes a 108MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. It further includes a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a macro sensor and an 8MP periscope shaped telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture offering 50x superzoom and 5x macro vision. The phone also includes a 32MP selfies camera with an f/2.25 aperture on the front.  Additionally, it comes with a 4,500mAh battery on board with 30W fast charging tech support.
