Dell Alienware launches its new gaming laptops in India
Dell’s Alienware series is known for setting up a benchmark in the gaming laptop segment. Alienware is an American hardware subsidiary of Dell. The company has announced and launched 5 new laptops for its Indian customers. Laptops being launched are Alienware X17, X15, XPS 17, XPS 15, and G15. The company has announced all the specs for its upcoming laptops. Here are all the specifications and prices for the new laptops.

Alienware X17 & X15

There is a significant upgrade in thermals made by the company. It is claimed the new cooling system is 25% more efficient than the current Alienware Cryo-Tech. The laptop has a massive 17.3-inch display having a 1080p display panel and 360 Hz refresh rate. The company also offers an optional Cherry MX mechanical keyboard setup on the go. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel offering i.e Core i9-11900H CPU. On the GPU side, the laptop is powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. Paired with 32 GB of RAM and 1TB internal storage. The Windows Hello IR camera for Biometric security. The specification of X15 remains the same, just a smaller screen size of 15.6-inches and no Cherry MX mechanical keyboard in this option. New drone rules 2021 in India: Relaxations on approval, fewer forms and lesser fees
Until now there was a strict drone policy in India. But now it has been updated, which brings a lot of relief on approval, fewer forms and nominal fees. The new drone rules 2021 in India eases geographical restrictions as well.   The Drone Rules 2021 also do away with the security clearance before any registration or licence issuance. The Indian government has today announced the new drone policy that ensures ease of drone use in India. As per the fresh norms, the Unmanned Aircraft Systems also known as UAS Rules 2021 has been replaced with liberalised Drone Rules, 2021. It brings a lot of relaxation on clearance to fees.  With the new drone policy, there is no need for any registration or licence issuance for the use of drones in the country. Also, the permit fees to operate drones has been reduced to nominal charges. According to the government, the relaxation will create employment and economic growth due to their reach, versatility, and ease of use, especially in India’s remote and inaccessible areas. In view of its traditional strengths in innovation, information technology, frugal engineering and huge domestic demand. It is also aimed to benefit all sectors of the economy like – agriculture, mining, infrastructure, surveillance, emergency response, transportation, geo-spatial mapping, defence, and law enforcement.

Read on the key benefits of the new Drone Rule 2021 in India:

The Civil Aviation Ministry has abolished several approvals like unique authorisation number, unique prototype identification number, certificate of manufacturing and airworthiness, certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, acceptance of existing drones, operator permits, authorisation of R&D organisation, student remote pilot licence, remote pilot instructor authorisation, drone port authorisation etc. The number of forms has been reduced from 25 to 5. Whereas the type of fee has been reduced from 72 to 4. As per the new drone policy, the quantum of the fee was reduced to nominal levels and delinked with the size of the drone. For instance, the fee for a remote pilot license fee has been reduced from INR 3000 (for large drones) to INR 100 for all categories of drones; and is valid for 10 years. Read on the key benefits of the new Drone Rule 2021 in India: According to the Civil Aviation Ministry, the Digital sky platform shall be developed as a user-friendly single-window system.  There will be minimal human interface and most permissions will be self-generated. In addition to this, the interactive airspace map with green, yellow and red zones shall be displayed on the digital sky platform within 30 days of publication of these rules.  For the operation of drones in India, no permission is required now in the green zone. The Green zone means the airspace up to a vertical distance of 400 feet or 120 metres that has not been designated as a red zone or yellow zone in the airspace map; and the airspace up to a vertical distance of 200 feet or 60 metres above the area located between a lateral distance of 8 and 12 kilometres from the perimeter of an operational airport. Whereas the Yellow zone is now reduced from 45 km to 12 km from the airport perimeter. Also, no remote pilot licence is required for micro drones (for non-commercial use) and nano drones.  As per new Drone Rules 2021, there is no need for security clearance before issuance of any registration or licence and Type Certificate, unique identification number and remote pilot licence by R&D entities operating drones in their own or rented premises, located in a green zone. No restriction on foreign ownership in Indian drone companies and the import of drones to be regulated by DGFT. The requirement of import clearance from DGCA has also been abolished. On the other hand the coverage of drones under Drone Rules, 2021 increased from 300 kg to 500 kg.  This will cover drone taxis also. Now onwards DGCA shall prescribe drone training requirements, oversee drone schools and provide pilot licences online. The Remote pilot licence is to be issued by DGCA within 15 days of the pilot receiving the remote pilot certificate from the authorised drone school through the digital sky platform. Moreover, the testing of drones for issuance of Type Certificate to be carried out by Quality Council of India or authorised testing entities. Also, a type certificate will be required only when a drone is to be operated in India. Importing and manufacturing drones purely for exports are exempt from type certification and unique identification numbers. Nano and model drones (made for research or recreation purposes) are exempt from type certification. Manufacturers and importers may generate their drones’ unique identification number on the digital sky platform through the self-certification route. In addition, the new drone policy of India also eases the process specified for the transfer and deregistration of drones through the digital sky platform. As per the government, the drones present in India on or before 30 Nov 2021 will be issued a unique identification number through the digital sky platform provided, they have a DAN, a GST-paid invoice and are part of the list of DGCA-approved drones.  There will be Standard operating procedures (SOP) and training procedure manuals (TPM) to be prescribed by DGCA on the digital sky platform for self-monitoring by users.  No approvals are required unless there is a significant departure from the prescribed procedures. The maximum penalty for violations has now been reduced to Rs 1 lakh. Safety and security features like ‘No permission – no takeoff’ (NPNT), real-time tracking beacon, geo-fencing etc. to be notified in future.  A six-month lead time will be provided to the industry for compliance. Drone corridors will be developed for cargo deliveries. Lastly, the Drone promotion council is to be set up by the Government with participation from academia, startups and other stakeholders to facilitate a growth-oriented regulatory regime. This is a follow up of the popular Mi TV 4X series that includes 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch models. The latest arrival of the smart TV will be available in the same screen sizes in the Indian market. Both the models come with thin bezels along with a metal finish and the latest PatchWall interface.

Mi TV 5X comes with a starting price of Rs 31,999 for the 43-inch model. The price of the 50-inch variant is set at Rs 41,999 and the 55-inch model at Rs 47,999. The device will be available across Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio and Croma, starting September 7 in the country. Chinese electronics brand Xiaomi today at its Smarter Living 2022 event introduced a host of electronic items in India. Mi Notebook 2021 is one such item to launch at the event today. The latest lineup includes Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro that come powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Both laptops also include all-day battery life, Type-C fast charging, and Thunderbolt 4 along with a backlit keyboard. 

Mi Notebook Ultra specifications and pricing

Mi Notebook Ultra comes with a unibody design made out of a single block of Series 6 Aluminium, an aircraft-grade metal alloy, precisely cut using a CNC machine. The body chassis is further taken through a process of sandblasting and anodization for a Lustrous grey finish.  The laptop weighs 1.7 kg and is 17.9mm thick. Optoma becomes number one in India and globally in DLP Projectors & 4K UHD segments
Taiwanese multinational company that manufactures projectors, all-in-one LED displays and image processing equipment Optoma today announced that it became the number one DLP projector brand globally. Also, the company achieved the number one position in DLP Projectors & 4K UHD segments in India for Q2, 2021 as per the PMA report.  Speaking about this achievement Mr. Vijay Sharma, Country Head, India, Optoma Corporation said that “ We are pleased to announce that despite the pandemic situation and challenging market conditions, we have managed to maintain an upward curve in sales. We registered demand coming from across segments, especially the home segment. This growth in the first six months of 2021 is a result of our advanced technology-based product launches and our proper understanding of the current circumstances of the Indian market. We expect the trend to continue in the second half of the year too.” The Taiwan based projector firm Optoma Corporation stated that it’s the only projector brand to have reflected the growth trend in the first half of 2021 by becoming the No.1 projector brand in the 4K UHD segment. According to the company earlier it has doubled its market share in ProAV and home segment in 2020.  But now Optoma has achieved a growth of more than 50% market share in the Short Throw projector category to become s No 1 brand in India for the DLP projectors & 4K UHD category during Q2, 2021. Furthermore, Optoma claims that to get the top position the company has pulled off more than 33% of the market share in Q2, 2021. Now, the company has future plans to aggressively tap the home entertainment segment, ProAV and education projector category with an array of new product launches for these categories.  The company recently introduced Optoma UHD33 4K UHD Home Theatre Projector in India. It features a 240Hz refresh rate and delivers vibrant and blur-free visuals and HDR10 support. This projector also comes integrated with gaming mode and dynamic black tech. It supports 4K @60Hz immersive gaming and offers Ultra-low 4.2ms latency@1080P 240Hz for PC games. The Optoma UHD33 comes with 3,600 ANSI lumens of brightness and delivers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, along with HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma) compatibility. Oppo introduces Apple-like MagVOOC flash charging technology
Oppo today showcased MagVOOC flash charging series, in-car connectivity, and more at the Smart China Expo 2021. Oppo is the second company after Realme to copy Apple’s MagSafe magnetic wireless charging. RealmeDart comes in two variants 15W and 50W. Oppo’s magnetic system charging technology comes in two versions 40W and 20W, and a power bank. Unlike Apple’s MagSafe, the Oppo magnetic wireless charging is compatible with Android devices; however both work in a similar fashion but with much higher speeds. Oppo has announced the 40W and 20W MagVOOC flash charging series. The charger simply gets attached to the back of the phone via magnets and sends power to Android devices wirelessly.  This new series includes the MagVOOC wireless power bank, which uses a magnetic alignment system to ensure precise alignment between the phone and the charger. It comes with a 4,500mAh capacity and can be capable of sending 20W to supported devices. This is Qi-enabled and is compatible with smartwatches as well as TWS earbuds. The power bank takes about two hours to completely charge.

In addition to this, the 20W MagVOOC ultra-thin flash charger comes with a  split design making the whole charger thinner. The design of both devices allows them to be easily portable. Both the devices feature a portable design. The supported Qi-standard can send up to 10W of power. It is capable of charging newer devices at 40W capacity and the older models at 30W. Additionally, it is Qi-enabled and can send up to 15W power without MagVOOC. On the other hand, the Oppo Air charging can send up to 7.5W of power to a phone which is inches away but perfectly aligned at various angles. One can continue to use the phone while it is being charged. Lastly, the company also demonstrated in-car smartphone connectivity capabilities at the event, including the digital car key, remote vehicle control on OPPO Find X3, remote vehicle control on OPPO Watch 2, as well as in-car flash charge. As per the company, the remote vehicle control on OPPO Find X3 or OPPO Watch 2 enables users to remotely turn on air conditioning through an APP. It will also allow users to search for their cars by sounding the horn from a distance. The answer is yes you can. Routers are designed that way so that you can keep them switched on all the time. Although resetting it once in a while can prevent internet connectivity issues. This is a much-debated topic that it’s not safe to keep Wi-Fi switched on all the time. 1.Conserve Energy

Prices of electricity have experienced a massive hike in some parts of the Country. Usually, at night most people don’t use the internet, yet the Wi-Fi router is kept on. The Chinese smartphone company OnePlus last month introduced its two new products in the Indian market — OnePlus Nord 2 5G and OnePlus Buds Pro 2. At the time of the launch, the company did not reveal the price of its TWS earphones. But now the company has shared the pricing and the availability details of the audio device. The new pair of True Wireless earbuds are an upgrade to the OnePlus Buds and comes with ANC and three microphones. Check out the sale details below. OnePlus Buds Pro features an in-ear design with silicone ear tips and the design of the stems of the buds is shorter than its predecessor. The TWS earphones equip 11mm, dynamic drivers, along with Dolby Atmos support. It has been incorporated with adaptive noise cancellation along with three microphones that are said to reduce environmental noise by up to 40 decibels. The ANC offers three different modes, namely Extreme, Faint, and Smart. The Extreme Mode offers a noise reduction of up to 40db while the latter two offers a noise cancellation of up to 25db. The audio device also includes the company’s own OnePlus Audio ID to balance the audio as well as customised sound experience. OnePlus Buds Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.2, and HeyMelody app support for non-OnePlus phones. The TWS earbuds deliver a latency rate of as low as 94 milliseconds while using Pro Gaming mode. The device is claimed to provide 7 hours of playtime and 31 hours of additional playtime when ANC is turned off. When the feature is turned on it provides 5 hours of playtime. With just 10 minutes of charge, the earbuds can last for 10 hours. In addition to this, the charging case comes with support for wireless charging.
